Amazon (AMZN) is teaming up with Uber Eats (UBER), allowing Prime members to order from restaurants through Amazon.com and the Amazon app, as third-party delivery gets more competitive.
Prime members who order via Amazon will get free delivery on orders of $25 or more. Customers will also get $20 off their first two Uber Eats orders of $25 or more through the first 14 days.
"This is what Prime is all about: unlimited free, fast delivery on a wide selection of products, big savings, fantastic entertainment, and now even more value on restaurant delivery with Uber Eats, all in a single membership," Jamil Ghani, worldwide vice president of Amazon Prime, said in a statement.
Uber also offers its Uber One service, which includes no delivery fees on food and groceries, as well as other benefits, for $9.99 a month, or $96 per year. Amazon Prime, which includes access to Prime Video and Amazon Music, as well as free shipping options, costs $140 a year.
Amazon has been taking share in the grocery delivery market, especially on same-day and one-hour deliveries. Earlier this week, Amazon announced that it added more than 6,000 items to its grocery options over the last six months.

Florida voters on Tuesday approved a major overhaul of the state's property tax system. But the droves of billionaires and other ultrawealthy people who recently moved there are unlikely to notice much of a difference from its headline tax break.
Amendment 3—which raises the homestead exemption on non-school property taxes from $50,000 to $150,000 in 2027 and to $250,000 in 2028—passed with 62% of the vote, according to the ***** ociated Press. Supporters pitched Amendment 3 as relief for everyday homeowners, and for many, it is. But because the exemption is a flat dollar amount, it does far less for the billionaires who turned South Florida into one of the country's wealthiest enclaves.
Take Citadel CEO Ken Griffin, who moved his firm from Chicago to Miami, and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos also moved to Miami in 2023 and has since bought a $237 million compound on Indian Creek, the island nicknamed "Billionaire Bunker." Bezos is also reportedly buying a $69.5 million oceanfront estate in nearby Golden Beach.
Experts told Fortune, though, the bigger factor of Amendment 3 for people like Griffin and Bezos is a less-noticed part: a tighter limit on how fast taxes can rise on second homes, rentals, and other properties that aren't a primary residence. Florida caps how much those properties' taxable values can increase each year, and Amendment 3 cuts that cap from 10% to 5%. In a hot market like South Florida's, that slows tax growth on homes whose values are climbing quickly, and many wealthy buyers own more than one.
But for a billionaire who claims a Florida homestead, the savings from Amendment 3 aren't that noticeable. Raul Gastesi, a real estate attorney and cofounder of Miami law firm Gastesi Lopez Mestre & Cobiella, calculated that at the statewide average non-school tax rate, the expanded exemption will save a homestead owner about $2,085 a year once fully in place. A home ***** sed at $350,000 would see its local services property tax bill fall from about $3,135 to about $1,050. A $50 million homestead would go from about $524,000 to about $522,000.

Several flights across Europe have faced bomb threats, officials have said.
An Aer Lingus Airbus A320 plane which departed Dublin on Thursday morning issued an emergency alert, diverted and landed at Evreux air base in northern France.
Meanwhile, Finnish airline Finnair said there was a bomb threat against one of its planes travelling from Helsinki to the Italian capital on Thursday. It was escorted by air force jets and landed as scheduled.
It comes just days after eight European flights, including two departing from the UK, were targeted by suspected bomb threats. No explosives were found on any of the planes after searches.
A statement from Aer Lingus confirmed that flight EI402 from Dublin to Rome "diverted to Normandy this morning as a security precaution."

Layoff plans in October fell to the lowest level since 2023 as companies turned their attention to retaining existing employees and adding seasonal help ahead of the holidays.
US employers announced 43,994 job cuts in October, up slightly from September but down 71% from a year earlier, according to outplacement firm Challenger, Gray & Christmas.
Job cuts have been muted this year as the labor market stays in "low hire, low fire" mode. Announced cuts in the first 10 months of the year are at their lowest level since 2022.
"This is a low-fire environment," Andy Challenger, chief revenue officer at Challenger, said in a statement. "Employers are holding on to the workers they have heading into the holidays, and the hiring they are announcing is largely short-term, seasonal work. Archaeologists have finally cracked the code to the famed Ann Francis shipwreck’s brass combination treasure lock. However, the 16th century relic didn’t open after hours of painstaking trial-and-error. Researchers at Cardiff University and Amgueddfa Cymru, the National Museum of Wales, relied on highly detailed CT scanning equipment to peer inside the mechanical device and learn the code without touching the lock itself.
“It’s not every day you get to solve a 400-year-old mystery,” David Williams, a Cardiff University biomechanics engineer, said in a statement.
The lock’s combination was lost on December 28, 1583, when the merchant ship Ann Francis sailed into a powerful storm during a return voyage from Spain. The exact crew number is unclear, but all of them (around 14 sailors) reportedly drowned after veering off-course and wrecking along the coast of southern Wales. Unfortunately, at least one other death is likely directly tied to the Ann Francis. Archival evidence suggests locals later accused a “detestable woman” named Mother Gabley of being an “execrable witch” and casting the foul weather responsible for the maritime tragedy. While Mother Gabley’s fate remains unknown, she would have almost certainly been hanged under the recently passed “Act Against Conjurations, Enchantments and Witchcrafts” if brought to trial.
The Ann Francis remained missing for 415 years, until metal detectorist Peter Hughes rediscovered the wreckage while surveying southern Wales’ Margam Beach in 1998. Hughes and archaeologists subsequently spent more than 20 years scouring the area for the ship’s remains. By 2017, preservationists had documented over 800 gold and silver coins from Germany, Spain, and Portugal along with artifacts like compasses, ship equipment, and cutlery.
Still, the wreck’s most famous remnant is the brass combination lock still in working condition after four centuries buried in sand. It’s possible the lock was used to guard those coins, or potentially other valuables that didn’t survive exposure to the elements. Regardless, the lock has remained close with no hints to its four-letter combination for hundreds of years.

Their separate letters, however, say plenty about the ongoing feud between the two.
According to People, the Prince of Wales, 44, and the Duke of Sussex, 42, wrote congratulatory letters to the newest winners of The Diana Award. The letters, however, went out separately. Each of the 198 recipients, drawn from 44 countries, received one from each prince.
According to the charity, the winners were recognised for creating "positive change in their communities and beyond." Dr. Tessy Ojo CBE, the charity's chief executive, also praised the group. "These young people are proof that, whatever their background or circumstances, the desire to make a difference is universal," she said.
However, reports from Page Six suggest that the common gesture does not appear to signal a thaw. The brothers last appeared together at a public engagement in July 2021, when they unveiled a statue of Diana at Kensington Palace on what would have been her 60th birthday. Google is extending its buyout program to selected workers in five additional countries as the company looks for ways to control expenses while pouring money into artificial intelligence programs.
The company told Reuters that select workers in Canada, France, Germany, ****** an and Switzerland were offered buyouts beginning in June, although the number of employees who accepted was unclear.
FOX Business has reached out to Google for comment.
"In 2025, some of our teams introduced a voluntary exit program with severance," a Google spokesperson said in a statement to Reuters. "This past summer, in June, we expanded this program globally in a few countries to support our important work ahead."

Last month, a friend of the Sussexes said that they won't be celebrating Christmas with the Royal Family. Moreover, they also questioned how this arrangement was possible.
Another source told Page Six that no matter where Markle and Harry decide to stay for Christmas, Doria is confirmed to be a part of their plans. "There is a hierarchy and the King is the CEO, he's the boss — what he says go, so it's better not to put themselves in any difficult position," they added, referring to why it's better for the Sussexes to be snubbed from the Royal Family's celebration.
This update also comes amid a source having told Closer Online that Harry is seemingly unhappy about Markle's plans to head to the US for Christmas. "Harry's very disappointed. In his mind, they could have brought Doria to their Cotswolds home and perhaps still scored an invite to see his father or [his late mother's family] the Spencers as a back-up. But Meghan wasn't having any of it," they added.
The insider mentioned that Harry tried his best to convince his wife to stay in the UK, but she didn't want to sit around and wait for the royal invitation. "It was the perfect excuse to book a flight back to the U.S., and Harry ultimately didn't have much choice but to follow," they continued.
