If you had only ever seen Katie Holmes as tomboy-adjacent Joey Potter from "Dawson's Creek," which is arguably the actor's most famous role, then you might be surprised to look up and witness the gorgeous, style-forward woman that Holmes has become in the years since. From Katie Holmes' stunning hair transformation to her trend-setting street style — you can take notes from Katie Holmes on nailing denim-on-denim — this former girl-next-door has established herself as a fashionable member of the A-list.
However, there is one thing that Katie Holmes still has in common with her years portraying Joey: a minimalist approach to cosmetics. Surprised? This may seem like a big shift from the woman who told Redbook in 2013 that while some celebs don't need makeup, "But I do! I need it!" and confessed to British Vogue, "I don't always take off my makeup before bed."
Today's Katie Holmes is a skincare-conscious queen who prioritizes a healthy glow. And while she enjoys her time in the makeup chair, she doesn't feel that a full-face look is necessary armor for day-to-day life. She even filmed an entire movie — 2015's "Touched with Fire" — wearing basically no makeup on camera. This translates into many moments in the actor's off-screen existence, as well. From grocery shopping and posting selfies without cosmetics to scaling back her event makeup wherever she can, Katie Holmes prefers to embrace her inherent beauty.

During his recent appearance, he also discussed his viral selfie with his children, Travis Kelce, and Taylor Swift.
During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show, Prince William revealed two career paths he considered pursuing when he was younger. The Prince of Wales shared that he once dreamed of becoming a police officer and also hoped to explore a career as a DJ.

"That's rubbish," she responded. Cate Blanchett also joined in on the fun, teasing the Prince of Wales about his former DJ ambitions. She asked whether his X-shaped hand gesture was one of his signature DJ moves.

Neymar Jr. has found a playmate who isn't shy about posing, and it is none other than his toddler daughter. The Brazilian footballer marked his little girl Mavie's birthday with a set of photos, and the little one clearly joined in the fun. There are pouts, wide eyes, and smiles all around as the father-daughter pair have fun. A heartfelt message came with the pictures, and it shows what being a girl dad means to the star footballer.
Neymar Jr. posted the carousel on Instagram to mark his daughter Mavie's third birthday on 6 October. The first image is a sweet portrait where the toddler crawls on a wooden floor and beams at the camera. She wears a simple black top with white stripes and jeans.
Things get livelier in the second photo. Father and daughter pose in front of an arched mirror at a pink dressing table. Mavie, her hair falling in soft curls, holds a makeup brush while her father takes the mirror selfie. The last two pictures are adorably comic. Mavie and Neymar are in frame in pink and black T-shirts, respectively. In one shot, she and her dad pout in unison, and in the next, both stare wide-eyed with their mouths open, making funny faces together.
The caption was written in Portuguese, and a translation shows how personal it is for the 34-year-old footballer. Neymar credits Mavie for helping him become a better father, not only to her but to her brothers and sisters. He adds that he always wanted a daughter and knew he would love the experience. He goes on to note that her smile, especially in her eyes, brightens his day. Neymar finishes his tribute to his daughter by promising to be her safe haven every day.
Mavie is one of Neymar Jr.'s four children. He has a son, Davi Lucca, with Carolina Dantas, while Mavie and Mel are his daughters with Bruna Biancardi. He also shares his daughter Helena with Amanda Kimberlly. In June, Neymar and Biancardi announced that they were expecting their third daughter together and Neymar's fifth child. The baby, whom they plan to name Mariah, will join Mavie and Mel.

Halle Berry spent Sunday with her son, Maceo, before asking a Los Angeles judge to restore the parenting arrangement she previously shared with ex-husband Olivier Martinez. Her request, filed Monday, Oct. 5, seeks a return to their 2023 agreement for 50/50 custody, Entertainment Weekly reported.
A temporary restraining order issued Oct. 1 changed Berry's parenting time but allowed her to continue seeing her son during specified daytime hours. The order covered both Martinez and Maceo, according to records reviewed by PEOPLE.
Martinez sought protection after alleging that Berry physically attacked Maceo during a Sept. 26 dispute. Her attorney, Marina Beck, denied his account and called the filing "entirely meritless and deliberately misleading."
Berry, 60, was accompanied on the Oct. 4 visit by her fiancé, musician Van Hunt. They spent time together one day before Maceo's 13th birthday.
An eyewitness told PEOPLE that Berry chatted with Maceo at a Los Angeles Sky Zone before he joined an indoor soccer game. She and Hunt watched from nearby. When a fan approached for a selfie, Berry declined because she was spending time with her child. TMZ also published BACKGRID footage of the trio shopping at Best Buy that day.

Birthday weekends rarely look this magical, and Kate Hudson can agree on that. The actress has shared a photo carousel of her daughter's birthday from a theme park celebration, and the smiles are impossible to miss. Wands at the ready, robes swishing, and a birthday cake waiting back home, the day had it all.
Mom to three kids, Kate Hudson celebrated her daughter's birthday with a weekend outing at the Universal Studios theme park. She posted a carousel on Instagram with a short caption. She wrote, "Best weekend celebrating the best girl!!! Thank you unistudios for the 'best ride ever!'"
Birthday girl, Rani Rose, made the most of every stop, grinning happily at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. In one short clip, the 8-year-old stood in a dimly lit shop with a wand in her hand. In a recreation of the wand scene in the "Harry Potter" movies, Rani's hair glowed in the spotlight when she got her wand.
Another photo showed Rani with her friend in matching Gryffindor robes with maroon and gold lining and striped headbands. Both pointed their wands straight at the camera, grinning. Elsewhere, a Hogwarts street sign towered over a cobbled square, with Rani posing underneath.
The day was not all spells. Hudson's carousel also showed kids posing outside Super Nintendo World. A wide shot captured the Mario-themed plaza under a bright blue sky. A group selfie from a wooden ride car showed Hudson with her daughter beaming behind the camera.
