Interested in Amazon.com, Inc.? Here are five stocks we like better.
Dan Loeb's Third Point trimmed its Amazon stake by roughly 10%, but the fund still holds it as a top position, suggesting routine rebalancing rather than a loss of confidence.
Other major hedge funds, including Baupost, Coatue Management, and Appaloosa, increased their Amazon holdings during the same period, indicating broad institutional confidence in the stock.
Amazon shares fell nearly 10% from highs mainly because of concerns over $220 billion in planned spending, negative free cash flow, and profit reliance on its Anthropic stake gain.
Few things unsettle investors quite like the sight of a famous name heading for the exit.

Meta Platforms, Inc. (NASDAQ:META) is one of the best growth stocks to buy according to billionaire Dan Loeb. On June 23, the New York Times reported that the Trump administration has been pressing Meta Platforms, Inc. (NASDAQ:META) to voluntarily submit its AI models for government security reviews. This makes Meta the only major US AI company that has yet to agree to the process, the Times noted.
Image by Gerd Altmann from Pixabay
The Times noted that the review framework itself was formalized on June 2, when President Trump signed an executive order establishing a voluntary system under which AI developers submit their most powerful frontier AI models to the federal government for up to 30 days of evaluation before public release. The Center for AI Standards and Innovation (CAISI) runs the reviews, with input from the NSA, CISA, and NIST. The full review process is expected to be operational by the end of July.
According to the Times report, every other major U.S. AI developer, including Anthropic, Google, OpenAI, Microsoft, and xAI, has already signed on. It added that Meta is the only holdout, yet its founder, Mark Zuckerberg, sits on the administration's AI advisory committee.
Asked for comment, Francis Brennan, a Meta spokesman, told the Times that the company shares "the administration's goal of advancing U.S. leadership on robust and secure frontier AI." He added that the company is "working through the details" and that they "hope to sign the agreement soon."

Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOGL) is one of the best growth stocks to buy according to billionaire Dan Loeb. On June 2, Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOGL) priced and upsized its equity capital raise to $84.75 billion from $80 billion. The raise is now the largest in US corporate history, and Alphabet intends to use the proceedings to fund the buildout of AI infrastructure and global compute capacity.
GongTo/Shutterstock.com
Alphabet detailed in a statement that it has structured the raise in three parts. The first is a $30 billion underwritten public offering split between common stock and mandatory convertible preferred shares, and the second is a $10 billion private placement anchored by Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway. The last part is a $40 billion at-the-market (ATM) program set to begin in Q3 2026.
On the public offering side, Alphabet priced 25.5 million Class A shares at $355.20 each and 25.5 million Class C shares at $351.80 each. It again priced 167.5 million Series A and Series B depositary shares at $50 each. The company upsized the Class A/C stock portion to $18 billion from $15 billion. It also increased the depositary share portion to $16.75 billion from $15 billion. Alphabet expects net proceeds from these two buckets to be approximately $17.8 billion and $16.6 billion, respectively.

Broadcom Inc. (NASDAQ:AVGO) is one of the best growth stocks to buy according to billionaire Dan Loeb. On June 17, JPMorgan ****** yst Harlan Sur reiterated an Overweight rating and a $580 price target on Broadcom Inc. (NASDAQ:AVGO). Sur used the opportunity to push back against growing market fears that Broadcom's AI chip project with Google had hit serious roadblocks.
According to the ****** yst, the concern arose from reports suggesting delays in Broadcom's TPU v9 2nm chip program. The chip is a next-generation artificial-intelligence accelerator being developed for Google. Sur found those fears to be unfounded, stating that the TPU v9 program remains one of Broadcom's highest-priority projects. The project is also firmly on schedule for a 2028 production ramp, with no delays or cancellations confirmed, Sur stated.
For context, Broadcom completed the initial IP design phase in the first half of 2025 and moved into full system-on-chip design in the second half. The chip features four compute dies, 16 High Bandwidth Memory stacks, and 400Gbps SERDES. This combination aims to handle the enormous data demands of next-generation AI workloads.
The ****** yst noted that even before the v9 story plays out, Broadcom's TPU v8i 3nm chip received full qualification from Google by mid-2025 and is set to begin production ramping this quarter. In contrast, Google's internal chip team, which is working alongside MediaTek on the rival Zebrafish TPU v8t 3nm program, is still in the design optimization phase. This gap, the ****** yst said, translates to an 18-month head start for Broadcom.

Somnigroup International Inc. (NYSE:SGI) is one of the best growth stocks to buy according to billionaire Dan Loeb. On June 15, KeyBanc ******* yst Bradley Thomas reiterated an Overweight rating and a $105 price target on Somnigroup International Inc. (NYSE:SGI). Thomas pointed to fresh regulatory momentum regarding the company's proposed acquisition of Leggett & Platt and robust early-second-quarter sales trends as tailwinds for the stock.
ty-carlson-I8kTKM17Ktc-unsplashRegarding the Leggett & Platt acquisition, Somnigroup filed a Form 8-K on June 4 detailing that it had cleared the antitrust hurdle without a federal challenge. The company values the acquisition at $2.5 billion, and, if completed, Leggett & Platt will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Somnigroup. Somnigroup expects the deal to close by the end of this year.To Thomas, the KeyBanc ******* yst, this deal matters because Leggett & Platt has historically been one of Somnigroup's key upstream suppliers. The company provides materials used in mattress manufacturing, and so bringing it in-house would give Somnigroup greater control over its supply chain, noted Thomas. It will also "unlock synergies," the ******* yst believes, that could exceed the stated $50 million target.Thomas also highlighted that Somnigroup is already integrating the Mattress Firm acquisition. Mattress Firm is the largest mattress retail chain in the US, whose acquisition Somnigroup completed on February 5, 2025, for approximately $5.1 billion. As per Thomas, Somnigroup has been making measurable progress on synergy delivery.Somnigroup International Inc. (NYSE:SGI) is a mattress and bedding products company. NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) is one of the best growth stocks to buy according to billionaire Dan Loeb. On June 24, the Financial Times reported that NVIDIA Corporation's (NASDAQ:NVDA) AI chips that are banned from export to China under US controls have more than doubled in price on China's black market over the past six months. The FT attributed the price spike to American enforcement actions, which have progressively choked off the illegal channels through which these chips were flowing into the country.
Copyright: fotomaximum / 123RF Stock Photo
According to the FT, the standout price jump is in Nvidia's DGX B300 server. This is a high-end system containing eight Blackwell GPUs. On China's black market, the price has climbed to over 8 million yuan, roughly $1.1 million, up from 4 million yuan just six months ago, said the report. For context, the same system retails in the US for around $400,000.
Separately, the RTX 6000 Pro has surged from around 50,000 yuan at the start of 2026 to as much as 130,000 yuan. This is a workstation chip widely used by Chinese AI startups to run large language models.
The FT noted that the price explosion reflects the basic economics of a constrained supply. It added that Chinese tech companies and AI startups, many of which are locked out of legal purchasing channels, have been relying on these grey and black market routes to access the computing power needed to develop and train AI models. Despite the US restrictions, Chinese demand for these chips has not diminished; if anything, it has intensified, noted the FT.

Union Pacific Corporation (NYSE:UNP) is one of the best growth stocks to buy according to billionaire Dan Loeb. On June 3, Union Pacific Railroad, a Union Pacific Corporation (NYSE:UNP) subsidiary, unveiled its newest commemorative locomotive, No. 4547. The unveiling took place at a ceremony near Corinne, Utah, and the locomotive immediately embarked on its inaugural freight mission, which involved hauling ******* e Launch System solid rocket motor segments for NASA's Artemis III lunar exploration program. The program is a collaboration with aerospace and defense company Northrop Grumman and locomotive manufacturer Wabtec.

Union Pacific said in a statement that locomotive No. 4547 is a dedication to President Donald J. Trump. This makes it the third engine in the company's presidential locomotive series. The first two are No. 1616, which honors President Abraham Lincoln, who signed the Pacific Railway Act in 1862, effectively founding Union Pacific, and No. 4141, which recognizes President George H.W. Bush.
The company detailed that its CEO Jim Vena was joined at the christening ceremony by Utah's House Speaker, Senate President, and senior officials from NASA, Northrop Grumman, and Wabtec. It added that No. 4547 was also accompanied on the maiden journey by No. 1616, the Lincoln commemorative engine.
The locomotive's design also commemorates America's 250th anniversary. Union Pacific said this is a theme it has been weaving across several initiatives this year, including a cross-country tour by its famed Big Boy No. 4014 steam locomotive.

KLA Corporation (NASDAQ:KLAC) is one of the best growth stocks to buy according to billionaire Dan Loeb. On June 23, BofA ***** yst Vivek Arya raised his price target on KLA Corporation (NASDAQ:KLAC) to $317 from $210, maintaining a Buy rating. The move was part of a broader upgrade of the semiconductor equipment sector, which the ***** yst said was driven by the bank's improved outlook for AI-related chip spending.
Posonskyi Andrey/Shutterstock.com
The ***** yst noted that the target raise sits within BofA's thesis that the next $1 trillion in semiconductor industry revenues will be unlocked by factors that are already in play. AI data center investment and surging WFE spending carry the majority of the weight of BofA's thesis. Altogether, the factors convinced Arya and his team of semiconductor industry ***** ysts to push BofA's WFE forecast all the way to $250 billion by 2028.
KLA's own CFO Bren Higgins, told investors at the Bank of America Tech Conference on June 3 that the overall semiconductor equipment market for 2026 could end up somewhat larger than the $140 billion-plus the company had previously projected. Higgins also expects meaningful growth into 2027 as new chip factories under construction begin filling up with equipment. He added that KLA's long-term planning ***** umes a $215 billion WFE market by 2030, and that the current momentum will exceed prior forecasts.
KLA Corporation (NASDAQ:KLAC) is a semiconductor process control and yield management company. It develops and sells inspection, measurement, and data ***** ytics systems used to identify defects and optimize manufacturing yields during chip production. The company serves foundries, logic chip makers, and memory manufacturers.

Lam Research Corporation (NASDAQ:LRCX) is one of the best growth stocks to buy according to billionaire Dan Loeb. On June 23, Bank of America raised its price target on Lam Research Corporation (NASDAQ:LRCX) to $480 from $330 while maintaining a Buy rating.
Portogas D Ace/Shutterstock.com
Lead ******* yst Vivek Arya said the price target hike was necessary to align with the firm's update to its semiconductor industry models. As part of the update, Arya and team identified five forces they believe will drive the next $1 trillion in chip industry revenues, which cover AI data centers, memory, semiconductor capital equipment, and reshoring, ******* og chips, and agentic CPU demand.
A key factor in the price target upgrade was BofA's revised forecast for wafer fabrication equipment (WFE) spending, the market in which Lam Research is a major player. The firm now projects the WFE spending to reach $250 billion by 2028, up from an earlier estimate of $203 billion. The spending can climb to $292 billion by 2030, the ******* ysts noted.
From the perspective of the broader semiconductor industry, BofA now projects total chip sales of $2.7 trillion by 2030, up from a prior estimate of $2.3 trillion. This implies a 28% compound annual growth rate from 2025 levels. The firm expects memory to be the single largest driver of this growth; it expects it to grow nearly 300% this year alone.

We just covered Billionaire Dan Loeb Pivots to AI and Sells Old Economy Stocks: His Top 7 AI Picks. KLA Corp. (NASDAQ:KLAC) ranks #5 (see Billionaire Dan Loeb's Top 5 AI Stock Picks).
Billionaire Dan Loeb's Stake: 110,000 Shares Valued at Approximately $16.20 Million (NEW position)
KLA Corp. (NASDAQ:KLAC) plays a key role in the AI revolution because it makes the machines used to inspect and measure semiconductor chips during manufacturing — essentially the quality control layer of every major fab on the planet. It holds a 58% global market share in process control, meaning most of the world's chip manufacturers rely on KLA equipment to ensure their chips come out correctly.
KLA Corp. (NASDAQ:KLAC) sits at the center of every major semiconductor tailwind right now. As chip geometries shrink down to 2nm, the inspection and metrology requirements become exponentially more demanding — older machines simply can't detect flaws at that level of precision, which forces chipmakers to upgrade their KLA equipment with every new node generation. Hyperscalers are projected to spend over $725 billion on AI infrastructure in 2026 alone, which flows directly into chip manufacturing demand, which flows directly into KLA.
KLA Corp. (NASDAQ:KLAC) targets $26 billion in revenue by 2030, representing a 13–17% revenue CAGR, alongside gross margin expansion to 63.5%. EPS is expected to grow around 34% in FY2027, outpacing peers like Applied Materials and Entegris on both volume and growth rate.

We just covered Billionaire Dan Loeb Pivots to AI and Sells Old Economy Stocks: His Top 7 AI Picks. Hut 8 (NASDAQ:HUT) ranks #4 (see Billionaire Dan Loeb's Top 5 AI Stock Picks).
Billionaire Dan Loeb's Stake: 869,563 Shares Valued at Approximately $40.79 Million (NEW position)
Hut 8 (NASDAQ:HUT) is transitioning from Bitcoin mining into AI data center infrastructure. It doesn't just host GPUs or sell cloud compute, it owns the underlying power and land ******* ets outright — then leases that infrastructure to hyperscalers on long-term contracts.
The bull case centers on two campuses. Hut 8's (NASDAQ:HUT) Beacon Point facility in Texas (352 MW) is leased to a high-credit tenant — widely understood to be Google — for 15 years, with a base contract value of $9.8 billion. River Bend in Louisiana (245 MW) is leased to Fluidstack as part of a broader agreement tied to Anthropic's AI infrastructure buildout, locking in another $7 billion over the base term.
The nature of its contracts makes Hut interesting. Hut 8 (NASDAQ:HUT) bears minimal operating costs once the facilities are built. The cash flows are essentially fixed, long-duration, and backed by investment-grade counterparties — much closer to bond-like income than typical tech revenue.

We just covered Billionaire Dan Loeb Pivots to AI and Sells Old Economy Stocks: His Top 7 AI Picks. Taiwan Semiconductor (NYSE:TSM) ranks #1 (see Billionaire Dan Loeb's Top 5 AI Stock Picks).
Billionaire Dan Loeb's Stake: 275,000 Shares Valued at Approximately $92.93 Million
Taiwan Semiconductor (NYSE:TSM) manufactures the physical chips designed by virtually every major semiconductor company in the world — Nvidia, Apple, AMD, Google, and Broadcom all rely on its fabs. TSMC benefits regardless of which chip architecture wins the AI race. Whether hyperscalers shift toward custom ASICs to reduce their Nvidia dependence, or stick with Nvidia GPUs, every one of those chips is fabricated on a TSMC wafer — meaning it captures volume from both sides of the competition simultaneously.
The 2nm node is where the next leg of growth comes from. It carries a wafer price reportedly above $30,000 — over 50% more expensive than the 3nm node it replaces — and is already seeing more customer tape-outs at this stage than any previous node in Taiwan Semiconductor's (NYSE:TSM) history. Apple has already booked nearly half of initial 2nm capacity for the iPhone 18, with AMD, Intel, Qualcomm, and Broadcom all expected to follow. Q1 2026 gross margins hit a record 66.2%, prompting management to raise its long-term gross margin floor from 53% to 56%.
However, bears point to two risks. First, valuation — the stock trades at around 30x trailing earnings, near its 10-year peak. Second, and more importantly, over 90% of TSMC's advanced node capacity sits in Taiwan, making any escalation in China-Taiwan tensions a permanent and unhedgeable overhang on the stock.

We just covered Billionaire Dan Loeb Pivots to AI and Sells Old Economy Stocks: His Top 7 AI Picks. Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOGL) ranks #3 (see Billionaire Dan Loeb's Top 5 AI Stock Picks).
Billionaire Dan Loeb's Stake: 175,000 Shares Valued at Approximately $50.32 Million (NEW position)
Billionaire Dan Loeb piled into Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOGL) in the first quarter and that bet proved to be profitable. The stock is up 17% so far this year.
Loeb isn't alone in turning bullish on Google. For the past two years, Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOGL) was widely considered the biggest loser of the AI revolution, because AI directly threatened its bread and ***** er — search. Why would anyone use Google Search when ChatGPT or Claude could just answer your question directly? But Alphabet turned the tables, embraced AI aggressively, and is now one of the clearest beneficiaries of the very trend that was supposed to destroy it. Its AI products and Google Cloud have become its biggest growth catalysts.
The cloud numbers tell the story. In Q1 2026, Google Cloud's contracted backlog surged 93% on a sequential basis to $462.3 billion. These are not forecasts or wishful projections — these are signed contracts from enterprise customers who have already committed to paying Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOGL). The company says roughly 50% of this backlog, or over $230 billion, is expected to convert into recognized revenue within the next 24 months. On top of that, Google Cloud grew 63% year-over-year in Q1 — significantly ahead of Microsoft Azure at 40% and Amazon Web Services at 28%. Google Cloud is simultaneously the third-largest cloud provider and the fastest-growing one, and management has explicitly said revenue would have been even higher if the company could physically build infrastructure fast enough to meet demand.

Billionaire Dan Loeb's Stake: 90,000 Shares Valued at Approximately $51.49 Million (NEW position)
Billionaire Dan Loeb opened a new position in Meta Platforms (NASDAQ:META) in the first quarter, buying 90,000 shares of the social media giant. The stock is down about 15% over the past year as the market awaits ROI on Zuckerberg's eye-popping AI spending spree.
Meta Platforms (NASDAQ:META) plans to spend at least $600 billion on AI infrastructure through 2028, which is spooking investors who fear the returns won't justify the cost. But bulls believe this investment will pay off because Meta is deploying AI directly into its core business rather than into speculative new ventures.
Meta Platforms (NASDAQ:META) is using AI to improve its algorithm to increase engagement, which is showing impact in its ads business. The average price per ad grew 12% year-over-year in Q1 2026, nearly double the 6% growth seen just one quarter earlier.

We just covered Billionaire Dan Loeb Pivots to AI and Sells Old Economy Stocks: His Top 7 AI Picks. ASML Holding (NASDAQ:ASML) ranks #6 (see Billionaire Dan Loeb's Top 5 AI Stock Picks).
Billionaire Dan Loeb's Stake: 12,000 Shares Valued at Approximately $15.85 Million (NEW position)
ASML Holding (NASDAQ:ASML) makes the machines used to print chips — without its equipment, companies like TSMC, Samsung, and Intel simply cannot manufacture advanced semiconductors. It is the only company in the world that produces EUV lithography machines, the technology required to build the most cutting-edge chips at 2nm and beyond. But this is no hidden secret — everyone knows it, and that has swelled the stock's valuation considerably. The stock has rallied 152% from its 2025 lows and now trades at around 51x earnings, well above its 15-year average of 34x.
Bears argue that the semiconductor industry is deeply cyclical — chipmakers expand aggressively when prices are high, then pull back as new capacity floods the market and demand normalizes. Some believe that sooner or later the AI semiconductor cycle will slow down, and that could deflate valuations sharply, as it has in previous cycles. However, despite this, billionaire Dan Loeb opened a stake in the company — like many others who believe the AI revolution is still in its early innings and that ASML Holding's (NASDAQ:ASML) monopoly position makes it one of the most durable ways to play it.

We just covered Billionaire Dan Loeb Pivots to AI and Sells Old Economy Stocks: His Top 7 AI Picks. Broadcom Inc. (NASDAQ:AVGO) ranks #7 (see Billionaire Dan Loeb's Top 5 AI Stock Picks).
Billionaire Dan Loeb's Stake: 50,000 Shares Valued at Approximately $15.48 Million (NEW Position)
AVGO is down about 10% over the past month and bulls say now is the time to buy it.
Broadcom's (NASDAQ:AVGO) stock got hammered after its recent earnings, despite a genuinely strong quarter — **** ysts say it's because expectations had simply run too far ahead of reality. The stock had already gained over 60% in the months leading into the print, with the market pricing in not just strong results but an upgraded outlook. What it got instead was confirmation of the same targets already communicated last quarter, with no upward revision. This was despite AI revenue growing 143% year over year, AI bookings exceeding $30 billion against shipments of only $10.8 billion, and Q3 guidance pointing to AI revenue growth of over 200% year over year.
The bigger shock came when management guided gross margins down to 74% from 77% — a 310 basis point compression in a single quarter — as the revenue mix shifts toward lower-margin hardware. This stung particularly hard because Broadcom's (NASDAQ:AVGO) CEO had explicitly told investors just last quarter that margins would hold firm.
