Reinierde Ridder has changed camps ahead of his permanent move up tolight heavyweight in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

The Dutchman is scheduled to take on RomanDolidze at 205 pounds next, on Aug. 22 at Golden 1 Center inSacramento, California. He recently revealed that he has partedways with Kill Cliff FC and joined another Florida gym, American Top Team, ahead of his UFC light heavyweightdebut.
The former OneChampionship two-division ***** leholder explains that while hereally enjoyed the atmosphere at Kill Cliff FC, the level oftraining has allegedly not been up to mark in the last couple ofmonths. One of de Ridder's favorite coaches, Aung La NSang, recently opened his own gym, which limited his time atKill Cliff FC.

He also claims that head coach Henri Hooft has not been around muchover the last couple of months due to personal reasons and thatmany top fighters allegedly left Kill Cliff FC as the level oftraining declined.

"I did switch up my camp," de Ridder told Full Mount MMA. "So, I'vebeen at ATT this camp, which is a big change. I've been able towork with a lot of high-level guys, which is cool - coaches andtraining partners… Some stuff was just not good at Kill Cliff thelast six months. Henri had some personal stuff. He had been out ofthe gym for a couple of months. And Aung La, my guy I like to workwith a lot, he opened his own gym. So, he hadn't been at Kill Cliffmuch. And a lot of big guys left because just the content of theclasses was not that good. So, it was time to make a change,unfortunately. Cause I really liked them, really liked theatmosphere, liked everything there."

Henrikh Mkhitaryan has admitted he cannot yet say whether the coming campaign will be the last of his career, insisting there is little sense in planning too far ahead at this stage.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Inter midfielder, who has extended his contract by a further year, explained that he was given no ***** urances over his role.
"I didn't receive any guarantee, it wouldn't even have been right, because I have to show on the pitch whether I deserve a place in the team or not," he said. "But I feel I can still play at a good level for another year, and so, together with the club, I decided to stay one more season. Then we'll see."

Cristian Chivu has made it clear that he still wants another winger or wing-back before the end of the summer transfer window, but says that he is pleased with what he saw from the Inter squad after defeating Manchester City in a pre-season friendly earlier this weekend.
The Nerazzurri stopped off in Hong Kong on their way over to Australia while on their summer tour, defeating Manchester City on penalties after a 1-1 draw following goals from Divin Mubama and Benjamin Pavard.
Talking to the media after full-time in South East Asia, Chivu said that the most important thing was that his players came through their test injury free, but admitted that he is still at least one new player in the wide areas.
"If you do the counting, you get the same results as us," Chivu told reporters after full-time against Man City (via La Gazzetta dello Sport).
"It depends on how you look at it. Maybe we're missing one on the left. We have three wingers at the moment, or rather three and a half because Carlos (Augusto) can play there as well. And depending on how we look at Luis Henrique, who can play on the right or left, we're still missing one. There's still a long way to go in the window, we need to be patient and choose well."

LOS ANGELES — Cole Irvin fulfilled his duty, pitching six innings in what would have otherwise been a bullpen game on Friday night at Dodger Stadium. On Saturday he was the expected casualty of his own performance, designated for **** ignment so the Dodgers could fill his roster spot with a fresh arm that would be available for the next few days. Kyle Hurt got the call from Triple-A Oklahoma City before the middle game against the Red Sox.
"Cole did a great job, but we obviously need to backfill an arm, some length," manager Dave Roberts said Saturday.
Irvin followed right-handed relievers Edgardo Henriquez and Will Klein, who covered the first seven outs. Then Irvin got the Dodgers into the ninth inning, with Evan Phillips getting the final two outs. The end result didn't quite work out, as a five-run seventh inning gave Boston the win, but having Irvin soak up so many innings essentially reset the bullpen, with five more games before the Dodgers' next off day.
This is similar to Charlie Barnes' start against the A's on July 1, in which the left-hander ate up seven innings but allowed seven runs in a loss to the A's, but got the bullpen a rest day smack dab in the middle of a stretch of 13 game days in a row, and was sent down the next day.
The veteran Irvin doesn't have minor league options, having used them in 2019, 2020, and 2023, so he had to be designated for **** ignment. That opens up a 40-man roster spot, which will likely be useful given that the trade deadline is Monday, offering flexibility at the least.

Henrich finished second in her heat in a time of 52.13 seconds behind Nigeria's Ella Onojuvwevwo to qualify eighth fastest for Saturday afternoon's final.
Earlier there was delight for Ava Lloyd, who is also on Games debut, when she qualified for the final of the women's mile with a personal best time of four minutes 31.21 seconds.
But there was disappointment in the same event for athletics co-captain Melissa Courtney-Bryant, who finished seventh in her heat, a spot outside the qualification places.

Jackson High School graduate Dillon Dingler of the Detroit Tigers has joined select Stark County baseball company.

Playing his first world-ranked tournament in nearly six years, Brad Dalke opened the DP World Tour’s BMW International Open with a 3-under 69 on Thursday in Munich.
Dalke, the 28-year-old former prodigy turned YouTuber, is five shots off the lead, which is shared by Jayden Schaper and Hennie du Plessis, though Dalke sits comfortably inside the cut line thanks to four birdies in his first 12 holes and some clutch par saves late.
Dalke’s opening round at Golfclub München Eichenried nearly included a hole-in-one on the par-3 second hole, where Dalke’s tee shot from 230 yards just missed the right side of the cup before settling a few feet past. He added a couple birdie tap-ins at the par-4 ninth and par-5 11th holes before draining a 34-footer for birdie at the par-3 12th.

Nottingham Forest showed interest in him as well, as they are about to sell Elliot Anderson to Manchester City. However, the player prefers the Nerazzurri or, eventually, other sides that will participate in the UEFA Champions League. Christian Chivu directly suggested acquiring him after facing the Reds last season.
Mkhitaryan is set for his fifth campaign at San Siro, following his run at Roma and his Premier League stay at Manchester United and ******* nal. He has notched 12 goals and 21 ******* ists in 187 tilts with the current Italian champions.
It’s interesting that they didn’t make an effort to keep either center-back, as it’ll increase the need to sign two reliable pieces there. Jones is more of a cherry on top to improve the midfield than a real necessity, so it’s fine to stick with that pursuit for a while longer.

Kevin O'Connor: Henri Veesaar has signed a four-year, $9.3 million deal with the Atlanta Hawks, per sources. Veesaar was the 52nd pick in the draft. The structure of the deal is the same as the 31st, 32nd and 35th picks in last year's draft.

Inter have officially confirmed that 37-year-old midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has put pen to paper on a new contract extension that will keep him with the club until the end of the 2026-27 season.
The Armenian had been out of contract on June 30, but was offered the opportunity to extend his stay with the club, an option which he has since taken up.
The Nerazzurri, meanwhile, announced the departures of four other senior players with expiring contracts on Tuesday (June 30), namely Yann Sommer, Stefan De Vrij, Francesco Acerbi and Matteo Darmian.
Recent reports indicate that Mkhitaryan will earn a base salary of around €2m for the coming season in San Siro. This is a significant reduction from the €3.8m base salary that the former **** nal and Manchester United midfielder was believed to be earning on his previous contract.

June 30 is upon us and a list of 49 Serie A players are set to become available on free transfers by the end of the day, none more prominent than Juventus's Dusan Vlahovic, for whom a new deal appears increasingly unlikely.
19 out of the 20 clubs competing in the 2026-27 Serie A season have at least one player into the final day of their contracts on Tuesday – Atalanta are the only side with none.
Some clubs remain in talks over extensions, such as Roma with the likes of Paulo Dybala and Zeki Celik, or Inter with Henrikh Mkhitaryan, but for Vlahovic, the situation remains less clear.
Juventus CEO Giovanni Carnevali confirmed on Monday that he has 'never' spoken to Vlahovic about a contract extension, but added that "Anything is possible in football, there can be possibilities tomorrow that do not exist tomorrow. He's a great player but today, he's not in our thoughts."

The first pick the Boston Bruins made in the 2026 NHL Draft was for 17-year-old goaltender Yuri Ivanov in the second round. Nearly 100 picks later, the Bruins used a second selection on a netminder in the sixth round.
With the 170th overall pick in the 2026 NHL Draft, the Boston Bruins selected 19-year-old goaltender Roberto Henriquez out of the USHL.
Henriquez is actually a Bratislava, Slovakia native, but he played for the Green Bay Gamblers in the United States Hockey League (USHL) in 2025-26.
During 37 games with the Gamblers, Henriquez posted an impressive 21-9-4 record with a .921 save percentage and two shutouts.

Henriquez comes to us from the USHL, though he is heading to Boston College this fall. His story absolutely rules; he chose to pick up goaltending in Middle School, and promptly just sort of stayed good at it throughout his career, only really stumbling in his first year in a new system before rebounding big. Henri Veesaar bet on himself. The former North Carolina big man left Chapel Hill after a breakout season, turned down massive NIL offers and entered the 2026 NBA Draft expecting to hear his name in the first round.
Instead, he sat through almost the entire draft before finally going 52nd overall — a slide that underscored just how risky that bet turned out to be. In an era when top college stars can command seven-figure deals without ever leaving campus, Veesaar's decision has quickly become a cautionary tale about jumping too soon.
"This is one of the all-time fumbles in draft history," CBS Sports' Matt Norlander said of Henri Veesaar's decision to leave North Carolina early for the 2026 NBA Draft.
Norlander argued that the financial gap between Veesaar's draft reality and his college options is stark.
"He could have returned to UNC, gotten $5 million, been the centerpiece at a blue blood program on a preseason top-15 team for a coach who, as Fink (Adam Finkelstein) just mentioned, has already shown what he can do with a big like Jokić," Norlander said. "He would've had a great chance to turn himself into a top-20 pick in a much weaker 2027 draft. Instead, this decision completely overshadows the weeks- and months-long co-peak conversation we were having. It doesn't even compare at this point."

With the 2026 NBA Draft in the books, the North Carolina Tar Heels had two players selected this year. The first player to be selected was Caleb Wilson, who went No. 4 overall to the Chicago Bulls.
His former teammate, Henri Veesaar, was projected to also go in the first round. But as the first round came and went, Veesaar wasn't selected which marked a disappointment for the center. Then, going into day two, it sounded like he would be selected right away.
But once again, Veesaar had to wait.
He was finally selected at No. 52 overall by the Atlanta Hawks, ending his freefall. Now, a new report suggests that Veesaar had a promise and wasn't going to sign a two-way contract, but instead get a guaranteed deal. The Hawks moved up to get Veesaar and reportedly jumped the Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks to land him.
Veesaar opted not to return to UNC and potentially missed out on a NIL deal worth up to $5M per a report. His freefall into the second round didn't help the case, but hindsight is always 20/20. Would UNC have benefited from Veesaar returning? Probably. Would he have benefited by playing under Michael Malone? It's likely.

After a rough first night of the NBA draft, former North Carolina forward Henri Veesaar finally heard his name called Wednesday when the Atlanta Hawks selected him with the No. 52 overall pick.
Veesaar, who transferred from Arizona and played one season in Chapel Hill, earned second-team All-ACC honors last year. He averaged 17.0 points and 8.7 rebounds, ranking eighth in scoring and fourth in rebounding in the ACC. His 15 double-doubles were second most in the conference and 17th nationally.
Despite ESPN, The Athletic and USA TODAY Sports projecting Veesaar as a first-round pick in their most recent mock drafts, the 6-foot-10 forward slipped into the second round and had to wait an extra day to be drafted.
Veesaar announced his decision to turn pro in April, thanking North Carolina as he declared for the draft.
“The University of North Carolina — thank you for the memories, the lessons and the brotherhood,” Veesaar said in his draft declaration. “It’s something I’ll carry with me forever. I’m proud to say I’m taking the next step and declaring for the NBA Draft. Thank you to everyone who’s been part of the journey.”

UNC basketball’s Henri Veesaar was selected by the Atlanta Hawks with the No. 52 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft on Wednesday, June 24, in Brooklyn.
Caleb Wilson was selected No. 4 overall by the Chicago Bulls, but Veesaar had to wait until the second round to hear his name called at the Barclays Center. A 7-foot center from Estonia, Veesaar averaged a career-best 17 points and 8.7 rebounds per game in his lone season with the Tar Heels. He was consistently one of the top inside-out options in the nation for UNC.

After missing out on a first-round selection and getting well into the second round, Veesaar finally heard his name called toward the end of the draft. At some point in the process, the conversations with the teams center around two-way deals, which are restrictive contracts tied to an organization's developmental team, allowing a player to bounce between the G League and NBA. In some cases, a player is better off searching and waiting for a guarantee from one particular team, even if it means going undrafted. The right fit and right contract are more important than draft position, but if money was the ultimate goal, Veesaar missed out on a big payday by opting to leave the Tar Heels.

The UNC big man officially became the biggest faller of the draft on Wednesday, moving all the way down to the Los Angeles Clippers with the No. 52 overall pick. The Clippers then reportedly flipped him to the Atlanta Hawks in a trade that sent back the No. 57 pick and cash.
Veesaar was considered a potential first-round pick going into the draft after an excellent junior season at UNC. Even after going unselected in the first round, he was widely expected to be one of the first names called once the second round began.

Veesaar is an agile big with real shooting touch, connective playmaking, and baseline big skills with the ability to set screens and catch lobs. He also offers rim protection and is a locked-in help defender. In all three of his collegiate seasons, he made a massive leap in production each year. But he's 227 pounds so his lanky frame can get pushed around, plus he still hasn't fully defined his cornerstone skill.
