"I'm excited to continue to evolve in my wonderful relationship with my husband and to continue to discover each other," Hayek said in the interview. "I am loving my life in Paris right now."

Valentina Shevchenko has suffered an injury that could keep her out for up to a year, forcing the UFC to strip her of the women's flyweight **** le. As a result, Natalia Silva and **** Cong will now battle for the vacant 125-pound belt in the main event of UFC 332 on October 3 at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City.
The promotion announced the news during Saturday's UFC Paris broadcast. Now, Shevchenko's longtime coach, Pavel Fedotov, has provided some insight into the injury that forced the former champion out of the event.
According to Telegram Ushatayka, Fedotov revealed that "Bullet" was originally scheduled to face Silva at UFC 332. However, ligament damage to her shoulder and back forced the Kyrgyzstani fighter to withdraw.

With the recovery expected to take a considerable amount of time, the team has opted to vacate the belt rather than hold up the division. Fedotov also made it clear that the goal is for Shevchenko to return and immediately fight for the **** le once she is healthy again.

Paulo Costa is stirring things up once again, calling out the UFC for refusing to book him in a ***** le fight for UFC 332.
UFC 332 goes down on October 3rd from Salt Lake City and is being headlined by a vacant women's flyweight ***** le fight between Natalia Silva and ***** Cong. Not only is that an extremely underwhelming fight to put atop a major numbered card, the UFC had record breaking women's 125 champ Valentina Shevchenko relinquish her ***** le so Silva vs. Cong would be for a belt.
According to Costa, none of this had to be. He was ready to fight at UFC 332 for an interim light heavyweight ***** le, but the promotion refused to do it.
"UFC could put LHW interim belt in line for this," Costa wrote on X (formerly Twitter). "I told them but they refused to, so *shrug*"
"Put the LHW interim belt in line and I WILL COME TO SAVE THE LHW DIVISION!" another tweet read. "UFC REFUSED TO PUT LWH INTERIM BELT IN LINE . Why? I don't know."

After weeks of delays and behind-the-scenes attempts to cobble something meaningful together, UFC 332 in Salt Lake City, Utah finally has a championship main event: Natalia Silva vs. ****** Cong for the vacant women's flyweight belt.
Wait, what? The flyweight belt that Valentina Shevchenko has defended a whopping nine times since 2018 across two ****** le runs? That's now vacant? When announcing Silva vs. Cong, they cited a "Bullet" injury but didn't really get into details on how the belt was put back up for grabs. A statement from Shevchenko's coach Pavel Fedotov gave a bit more info.
"We were supposed to fight on October 3 against Natalia Silva, but due to an injury to the ligaments in the shoulder and back, we decided not to push things and postpone the fight," Fedotov wrote (via Ushatayka). "Given that the recovery will take a long time, we've made the decision to temporarily vacate the belt, and once she recovers, she will fight for it again."
According to Fedotov, they're expecting the injury to take eight months to recover from.
In the past, you might expect to see an interim ****** le go up for grabs after similar injuries taking under a year to heal. But these days, the UFC has gotten into the habit of asking its injured champions to relinquish their belts. Jamahal Hill did it when he ruptured his Achilles tendon, and so did Jiri Prochazka when he injured his shoulder. Now we've got Valentina Shevchenko doing it.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Strawweight champion Mackenzie Dern successfully defended her 115-pound strap against Gillian Robertson in UFC 330's co-main event this past weekend (Sat., Aug. 15, 2026) inside Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
It was a dominant, one-sided unanimous decision victory. However, even after Dern's first successful ****** le defense, one name continues to loom large over the division: former champion Weili Zhang.
That is because Zhang never lost the Strawweight ****** le. Instead, she vacated it to pursue a second championship, only to get blanked by Flyweight queen Valentina Shevchenko in a noncompetitive fight.
In Zhang's absence, Dern defeated Virna Jandiroba to capture the vacant belt and has now successfully defended it.

Dern (16-5 MMA, 11-5 UFC) finally booked her first fight as UFC strawweight champion – a ****** le defense against top contender Gillian Robertson in the co-main event of UFC 330 on Aug. 15 at the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia. Although there's no denying Robertson (17-8 MMA, 14-6 UFC) is a deserving contender, many expected Dern to face Zhang Weili, who never lost the strawweight belt. She vacated it to pursue a second divisional ****** le at flyweight. Weili ended up coming short against UFC women's flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko in November, and voiced her interest in a return to 115 pounds.
Dern, like many, was under the impression this was her next fight, but for some reason, it didn't materialize.
"I can't give you that response," Dern said on "The Ariel Helwani Show." "I don't know. I don't know. They were talking about Weili. They had mentioned Macau, and the White House, New Jersey. I'm not sure what happened or what's going on. They came back with Gillian Robertson, I think after her win against Amanda Lemos, that was maybe April. So yeah, it's August 15."
Because Weili vacated the belt and never lost it, many still see her as the best female fighter at 115 pounds. Dern is well aware of the narrative that's been built, but even then wasn't sad she didn't get the opportunity to erase any doubts.

Where does that leave Zhang at present? Dern has no idea, she revealed Monday on "The Ariel Helwani Show."
"I can't give you that response. I don't know," Dern told Uncrowned when asked why that fight isn't happening next. "They were talking about Weili. They had mentioned [UFC] Macau, then the White House, [then] New Jersey. So I'm not sure what happened or what's going on, but they came back with Gillian Robertson, I think, after her win against Amanda Lemos [in March]. ... I'm not sure what the deal with Weili is or what is happening."
Ultimately, Dern isn't upset by the delay in facing an all-time great.
