Payment growth persists after adjusting for currency translation. Exodus Movement, Inc. (NYSEAMERICAN:EXOD) converted sterling payment volumes into dollars using average rates of $1.35 per pound for August and $1.34 for July. Reversing those conversions implies approximately 4.8% growth in underlying sterling volume, compared with 5.6% in reported dollars. Both calculations use rounded disclosed figures.
Web3 exchange-provider volume increased approximately 19.7%. XO Swap partners contributed 23% of volume in both months. The unchanged reported share suggests both the partner channel and the remaining business contributed to growth.

As markets anxiously await the outcome of the current FOMC meeting, Treasury yields notched new 19-year highs in trading Tuesday. The closely watched 10-year surpassed 5.0% Tuesday morning in a high not seen since July 2007. Even the 30-year Treasury yield rose sharply, hitting 5.4%, its highest since June 2007.
In addition to worries over persistent, rising core inflation (one of the Fed's preferred inflation measurements), skyrocketing oil prices and shortages create further pressure on Treasuries. Currently, the rolling one-month correlation between the 10-year Treasury yield and front-month WTI (West Texas Intermediate) crude sits at 0.96 per BMO Capital Markets ****** ysis.
Bond yields and oil prices have moved in tandem for much of this year as investors position for the longer-term inflationary impact of higher oil prices. And with major oil execs sounding the alarm on global supply cache shortages and strategic reserves depletion that help to temporarily soften spiking oil prices for consumers, these pricing pressures are likely to continue in the near-term. Saudi Arabia announced the closure of its East-West pipeline that bypassed the Strait of Hormuz after it came under attack late last week, and cancelled some shipments to Europe, reported Reuters.
"Normally, the relationship isn't as clean as it is now, but the geopolitical drivers behind the price of oil and global inflation are so prominent that the normally modest correlation has become much tighter," Steve Sosnick, Chief Strategist, Interactive Brokers told CNBC. "As long as oil prices remain firm and continue to drift higher, this will add pressure to interest rates."
As macro uncertainty continues and inflation persists, bonds and oil/energy will be categories to keep a weather eye towards and could see renewed ETF investor attention. Currently, investors are seizing the opportunity in longer-term bonds, with $9.7 billion flowing into the iShares 20+ Year Treasury Bond ETF (TLT) in the last three months though the fund is only up $3.4 billion net YTD according to FactSet data. It will be a category likely to see action in the wake of the FOMC rate decision. As bond yields climb, prices fall as they move inverse to each other, and should yields climb higher, investors may choose to scoop up longer duration bonds at depreciated prices for future gains. However, an exodus is more likely until the path of rate hikes becomes more certain.

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs shed $450.4 million on Tuesday, their largest single-day outflow since June 24, according to Decrypt's Bitcoin ETF tracker.
ETFs, or exchange-traded funds, are products that let ordinary investors buy exposure to an ***** et, such as Bitcoin, through a regular brokerage account, without ever touching a crypto wallet. They've been extremely popular since first launching two years ago and have become a proxy for overall market sentiment as money flows in and out of them daily.
Fidelity's FBTC led the exodus Tuesday with $214.8 million pulled out. BlackRock's IBIT lost $161.7 million, Grayscale's GBTC shed $44.1 million, and ARK 21Shares and Bitwise's funds saw smaller withdrawals.
Ethereum ETFs bled another $142.3 million the same day, and XRP funds, smaller and newer, held flat after pulling in $11.3 million the day prior.
Combined, the three ***** et funds lost close to $593 million in a single session—the sharpest one-day pullback crypto ETFs have seen since June, when Bitcoin funds posted their worst month on record.

Pro Football Hall of Famer Emmitt Smith and several business partners are facing a civil fraud lawsuit over a $2.5 million loan that was supposed to help a joint venture acquire an interest in a planned Texas solar development.
Kituwah Energy Project #2 LLC, an affiliate of Kituwah LLC, the economic development arm of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, filed the lawsuit Aug. 31 in Delaware's Court of Chancery. It accuses Smith, longtime business partner David Mosley and others of inducing the company to participate in a renewable energy venture known as Project Exodus.
The proposed project was presented as a major solar development expected to begin operating by the end of 2024 and generate nearly $13.8 million in first-year net income. Kituwah says it ultimately provided a $2.5 million loan to the parties' newly created joint venture after being told the money would help acquire rights and ownership interests connected to the project.
The lawsuit alleges the money instead went to another business that had previously financed ventures involving Smith and Mosley's company. The loan matured Feb. 1, 2024, and Kituwah says none of the principal has been repaid. The allegations have not been proven in court, and NBC 5 DFW reported that the defendants had not responded to its requests for comment.
Smith and Mosley co-founded Dallas-based 4 13 Solutions Inc., a real estate and renewable energy company. According to the complaint, they approached Kituwah in early 2023 about participating in Project Exodus, a proposed solar development in Caldwell County, Texas.

There are not many believers in the 2026 version of the Miami Dolphins in the national media. BeInCrypto Intelligence's 23-page report, The Exodus Economy, traced six routes money takes out of the region and audited 12 products marketed as dollar accounts. We shared the findings with five industry executives. Their responses point to a difficult question: once digital dollars remove the friction from leaving, what could persuade that money to return?

Comcast has attached a new service to its Xfinity internet plans as it faces mounting customer losses.
The company revealed in its most recent earnings report that it lost 167,000 U.S. broadband customers in the second quarter of this year. Also, its revenue in this segment dropped by 5.5% year over year.
The exodus of customers follows last year's Xfinity price increases. It also comes as Comcast faces heightened broadband competition from T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon, which have been attracting customers through fiber and fixed wireless internet services. ******* eX's Starlink satellite internet service is also becoming a threat, with over 9 million customers.
"Fiber continues to expand, fixed wireless remains aggressive, satellite is emerging as another alternative and convergence-based promotional activity remains elevated across the industry," said Comcast Chief Financial Officer Jason Armstrong on an earnings call in July. "We are operating under the ******* umption that the market will remain intensely competitive."
To help attract and retain internet customers, Comcast has launched its new Xfinity Shield platform, which offers two new tiers of advanced cybersecurity and home self-monitoring protection that can be added to internet plans, according to a recent press release.

Ryan Silverfield is taking over a daunting rebuilding job as he begins his first season at the helm of the Arkansas Razorbacks. But the roster he inherited isn't totally bereft of talent.
There may be no sturdier building block on the team than Edge rusher Quincy Rhodes. Rhodes broke out as a junior in 2025, finishing with 44 total tackles and a team-leading 15.5 tackles for loss in addition to 8 sacks, 6 quarterback hurries, and a forced fumble. That TFL total was the most by an Arkansas defender since Trey Flowers had 15.5 in 2015, and he also became the first 'Hawg to register double digit tackles for loss in a season since Landon Jackson in 2023. Nationally, he ranked 13th in tackles for loss per game and 23rd in sacks per game during the regular season.
Heading into 2026 Rhodes earned second team All-SEC honors from both league coaches and the **** ociated Press and was also tabbed with second team recognition from Athlon Sports and third team from Phil Steele. He stands out as one of the few proven players remaining in Fayetteville after a mass roster exodus following the coaching change, meaning the entire Arkansas defensive identity in 2026 will likely run through him.
For Georgia, Rhodes presents a real problem up front. At 6-foot-6 and 275 pounds, he has the length to disrupt passing lanes and the first step to win one-on-one against tackles who aren't ready for his quickness. A player who forces 15+ tackles for loss in a season has a demonstrated ability to blow up run designs before they develop, and Georgia's offensive line will need a plan specifically built around neutralizing him rather than treating him as a standard edge rusher. Early season road trips can be unpredictable, and Rhodes gives Arkansas a legitimate chance to affect the September 19th matchup with the Bulldogs from the opening series.

Synopsis: Obviously, you root for Notre Dame, which means you root for every player on the roster. But there are certain guys on the team who lease **** e in your heart. Whether it's because of their personal story, recruiting pedigree, play style, jersey number, or some other je ne sais quoi you appreciate, these guys are the ones who make you say, "that's my boy" when they make a play.
Catch: As a somewhat arbitrary restriction, you have to limit your list to five players. And as a not-totally-arbitrary restriction to make it more interesting, I suggest you limit yourself to one player per position. That's what I'll be doing anyway, and this year I have to start from scratch after an exodus of my entire roster of boys. So better get to it.
This is the most prominent player you'll see on this list. It's not really in keeping with the spirit of it to go for all the top guys who are going to make every single play, but it's smart to invest stock in one low-risk player you'll get to cheer for regularly. So I can indulge in an RB1 who's been overlooked by many this offseason.

A Trump-appointed federal appeals judge spent months running a Washington public affairs firm after being appointed to the bench last year, an arrangement that contributed to an exodus among the firm's staff and clients and only ended when the firm went out of business at the end of June.
Jennifer Mascott, a former conservative law professor who sits on the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals, was deeply involved in daily operations at the firm, Adfero, for at least six months after she was confirmed as a judge in October 2025, according to 14 former employees and clients granted anonymity to discuss internal details of the firm's final months.
Nine of the former employees said Mascott, who inherited her ownership stake in the firm from her late husband in 2023, worked at least once a week out of Adfero's office in Washington and oversaw the firm's staffing, business development efforts and client relations in between her full-time judicial duties in Wilmington and Philadelphia.
The firm was historically a nonpartisan business that did public relations and marketing work for companies and trade ******* ociations such as PhRMA and the National Retail Federation. In the final months of the business, Mascott brought on consultants with strong MAGA credentials, according to eight of the former employees and clients. Her leadership of the firm involved operational and strategic decisions: She required her signoff on marketing materials and suggested staff pitch the firm's services to health insurers after the loss of crucial clients like PhRMA.
The details of Mascott's involvement with the firm, which have not been previously reported, come amid a yearslong push by members of Congress and others in the legal community for stricter ethical requirements for judges. While judges are barred from engaging in business activities that could call their impartiality into question, they may maintain ownership of family businesses as long as they are not using the prestige of their judgeship to further the business or taking significant time away from their judicial duties.

The preseason is officially underway with the Gunners facing Girona for their first official friendly on Saturday as the defending Premier League champions look to capitalize on last season's successes. Bolstering the side has been a main emphasis, with Christian Tzolis and Ilan Mellier already in the fold.
It looks like the midfield will get a major boost as reports from numerous outlets this morning confirmed that ******* nal are finalizing the transfer of Brazilian midfielder Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle for approximately £80m. With everything seemingly agreed upon, there is little left beyond the medical, scheduled for Monday, and the official club announcement.
The path to his signing has been a tricky one. Despite early reports indicating that the player was easily sold on the move, Newcastle were adamant that they were not willing to sell their captain, especially after losing Sandro Tonali to Spurs as they looked to stave off a mass exodus of key players for the second year in a row. Manager Eddie Howe seemed convinced he'd stay, but also did not sound like he had much say in transfer matters during an interview last week. Whether the transfer of Bruno had any influence on it, Eddie Howe resigned from his position shortly after.
There's been a palpable bit of division over this transfer from ******* nal fans. How he will fit into the midfield is the big question. Martin Zubimendi came into the side last season as the 6 with Declan Rice as the 8. By the run in, though, Zubimendi's form had dipped and Rice was deployed at the base of the midfield more often with Myles Lewis-Skelly. Guimaraes is a quality Rice ******* ogue and can play both the 6 and the 8 at a high level, which means that Arteta will have an excellent deputy to take minutes off of both he and Zubi. That he can slide into the starting lineup without a distinct drop in quality already makes him a smart acquisition.

The number of wealthy non-dom taxpayers shrank by 1,200 last year amid warnings that Labour's tax rises could push even more rich people offshore.
New figures from HMRC reveal that 9,000 non-doms – foreign investors living in Britain – left the country or changed their tax status in the financial year ending April 2025.
Meanwhile, the number of non-doms arriving in the country dropped 14pc to 8,600. A further 800 "deemed-domicile" taxpayers – former non-doms who have since become British tax residents – also quit the UK, for an overall net reduction of 1,200.
Leslie MacLeod-Miller, the chief executive of Foreign Investors for Britain, a pressure group, warned that government inaction could push more investors and entrepreneurs to leave, reducing their £13.6bn annual tax contribution to the public finances.
"Britain is losing internationally mobile wealth at an accelerating pace," he said. "The exodus of wealth will only get worse if the Government does not introduce a competitive tax regime to restore Britain's place in the world."

TAMPA, Fla. — If the rest of the world could be as normal about Arch Manning as he is, there never would have been Heisman Trophy expectations at the beginning last season or a bandwagon exodus of insane proportions when he looked like a typical first-year starting quarterback for nearly half the season.
Manning didn't ask to be anointed as the biggest star in college football before proving anything on the field, but it defined everything about the reaction to Texas' 2025 season. From the crush of publicity in August, to the doom-and-gloom that followed early losses, to the idea that Texas was wronged by the College Football Playoff committee after finishing with a flourish, every narrative turn felt emotionally overwrought.
Now, as Texas enters another season with a loaded roster and a Manning-led offense, one of two things will happen: Either we will learn that the expectations came one year too early or we are about to make the same mistake twice.
"I think last season he found out a lot about himself," Texas coach Steve Sarkisian said Thursday at SEC media days. "Any time we're faced with adversity and we get on the other side of it, you gain confidence. I think you see a different leader in him. The work ethic hasn't changed, but I think the ability to lead vocally is much different than before and I think he's very comfortable with who he is."

Since playing his last down of NFL football back in 2021, Newton has transitioned into a successful media career. In addition to his two-year run with ESPN, the former NFL Most Valuable Player has starred in his own show—4th & 1 with Cam Newton on YouTube.

Hunt Transport Services is seeing heightened interest for its intermodal and dedicated services, given a steady exodus of non-compliant drivers and following the Supreme Court's ruling widening liability exposure for brokers. The changing landscape is forcing shippers to seek "safe, secure and reliable capacity," the company said Wednesday in conjunction with its second-quarter report, which was significantly better than ***** ysts expected.
The Lowell, Arkansas-based company's second quarter marked a record for intermodal volumes. It reported a 10% year-over-year increase in loads, outpacing 8% y/y growth in total intermodal carloads on the U.S. Class I railroads. (North American containers were up 5% y/y).
"[Intermodal] conversion activity is at levels we have not seen in more than a decade," said Darren Field, president of intermodal, on a Wednesday evening conference call with ***** ysts.
The company's dedicated truckload pipeline ended the period at an all-time high.
J.B. Hunt's (NASDAQ: JBHT) operating leverage was again evident in the period. It grew operating income 32% y/y to $259 million on a 19% increase in revenue. The company has removed $135 million in structural costs over the past year through AI-led and other automation initiatives.

Yet another young Celtic prospect has been lured by the riches and fame on offer down south, leaving us all wondering if it’s possible to actually keep hold of our up and coming young talent, at least long enough for them to make any sort of impact on the first team.
The latest youngster to make the move is talented 16 year old winger Erskine Rennie, who decided to join Fulham ahead of a host of fellow EPL sides, with some European clubs also said to have been interested in the Scottish youth international.
Football transfer guru Fabrizio Romano posted the news on his social media account on X, as he revealed the youngster committed to a long term contract at Craven Cottage, with Celtic receiving a compensation sum of just £100,000.
The teenager’s move comes hot on the heels of his fellow youth colleague Dara Jikiemi’s move to Liverpool and leaves us all wondering if the exodus of our most promising prospects will ever end.

Major League Baseball has a balance problem.
No, not the $338 million payroll gap between the Dodgers and the Marlins. The conversation about the financial haves and have-nots should be held on another, much colder day. If that’s your cup of tea, the impending work stoppage this winter will provide ample time for such discussions.
The more relevant (though admittedly less important) example of unevenness impacting MLB is the glaring disparity in quality between the American League and the National League. On the diamond, the NL has absolutely clobbered the AL this season, notching a .554 interleague winning percentage as of Wednesday. The NL has nine teams over .500; the AL has six. The NL has five teams with a run differential better than plus-40; the AL has one.
Next week, that discrepancy will be on full display as the leagues square off in Philadelphia for the 96th annual All-Star Game. The National League roster is chock-full of stars, both established and ascendent. Multiple worthy characters — JJ Wetherholt, Brice Turang, Michael Harris II, Zack Wheeler — couldn’t crack the roster. The American League, meanwhile, is scrambling to fill a void caused by injuries, underperformance and an interleague exodus.
That’s not to say the junior circuit is devoid of talent. Junior Caminero is billboard material. Newcastle United have been dealt a major blow after club captain Bruno Guimaraes officially informed the hierarchy of his desire to leave Tyneside and join reigning Premier League champions ****** nal. Eddie Howe is at St James’ Park and Mikel Arteta is at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal are intensifying their pursuit of Guimaraes behind the scenes. The North London club are prepared to offer a structured package worth up to £60 million to bring the highly rated midfielder to the Emirates Stadium. Manager Mikel Arteta is keen to bolster his midfield this summer and sees Guimaraes as the ideal addition.
Despite ****** nal’s intent, Newcastle’s stance remains a significant obstacle. At present, there has been no formal club-to-club contact, as Newcastle remain resolute in their refusal to entertain bids for their 28-year-old talismanic captain. However, retaining an unsettled captain presents a different challenge for manager Eddie Howe. Guimaraes is said to be increasingly frustrated by Newcastle’s recent decline, which saw them finish 12th and miss out on European football. The ongoing exodus of key players has prompted the midfielder to prioritise his prime years, with the prospect of Champions League football under Arteta a major factor. While Newcastle’s hierarchy are prepared to hold firm and demand a significant premium, Guimaraes’ desire to leave could ultimately weaken their negotiating position.

We are only seven months into the Matt Campbell era at Penn State and it has been a rollercoaster. It started with no expectations after a mass exodus of talent that stemmed from James Franklin’s dismissal as head coach. However, the pressure ratcheted right back up when Campbell and his staff went on an impressive recruiting run to restock the Nittany Lions’ future with a strong contingent of players.
Once considered to be one of the top recruiting classes in the country, the team’s 2027 ranking has taken a significant hit in recent months after a flurry of commitment flips. Just last week Penn State had the 12th-best 2027 recruiting class according to 247Sports, but it’s now fallen all the way down to No. 24 after four-star running back Aiden Gibson’s stunning flip to Rutgers.
There was really no indication that his commitment was on shaky ground, but he now follows notable recruits like Khalil Taylor and Semajay Robinson as the latest high-profile prospect to change his mind about Penn State. Nearly everyone, player or coach, who passes through the building speaks about how nice the campus is and how storied of a program the team has.
However, the Nittany Lions have been unable to solidify their standing with these players for some reason. With pretty much all of their top targets off the board in one way or another, there aren’t many more moves to be made for next year’s class. We just need to hope that the players still committed don’t follow suit and jump ship too.

Fortunately for Michigan, there hasn't been a mass exodus of players from the program since former head coach Dusty May elected to take his talents to the NBA.
7-foot-3 center Marcus Moller out of Denmark is another commitment who will stay true to his word. He signed with the Wolverines last November, but had to take a break from basketball as he received treatment for testicular cancer.
"While he focuses on his health and recovery, we truly look forward to having Marcus with us in Ann Arbor this summer and are beyond excited for his future as a Wolverine," Michigan's basketball team posted in January.
Moller announced on social media in May that he was cancer-free.
He played with club team Unicaja Malaga in Spain this past season before stepping away for the aforementioned health reasons.

On the first official day of NBA free agency, LeBron James let the Los Angeles Lakers know that he will not be re-signing with them, and guard Luke Kennard agreed to a two-year deal with the Phoenix Suns. In addition, veteran guard Marcus Smart opted out of his contract on Monday and is widely expected to move to the Houston Rockets.
It looks like there may end up being something of a mass exodus away from the Lakers that is taking shape. Forward Rui Hachimura, who is also a free agent, is expected to leave Los Angeles, per Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints.
"Along with Luke Kennard departing the Lakers tonight, starting forward Rui Hachimura is also widely expected to leave the Lakers in free agency, sources said," Siegel wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
The San Antonio Spurs, who just lost in the NBA Finals to the New York Knicks, and the Brooklyn Nets have been mentioned as teams that will be interested in the ****** anese native.

As reported by ESPN's Shams Charania, the Sixers have signed Dean Wade to a four-year deal worth $39 million, reuniting the former Cleveland Cavalier forward with Mike Gansey, who was recently announced to be Philadelphia's new President of Basketball Operations.
Wade makes the move to the Xfinity Mobile Arena off a season that saw him hit close to career highs on offense, averaging 5.8 points per game, while proving to be quite the utility man, securing 4.2 boards per night for his team. What the stat sheet can't tell you about Wade's time in Cleveland is his vast playoff experience, having amassed over 32 games in the postseason.
