Riccardo Calafiori is looking forward to renewing his rivalry with Sandro Tonali in England, and has set his sights on adding to ****** nal's haul of silverware.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, the Italy defender welcomed the growing number of his compatriots in the Premier League, the latest being Marco Palestra.
"It gives me great pleasure," Calafiori told Sky Sport. "With Sandro it'll be a lovely derby, naturally I hope to win both. It's nice to have him in the same city, even if we defend completely opposite colours. I wish him, Palestra and all the new arrivals the very best. Deep down, I feel a little less alone."

Riccardo Calafiori believes **** nal's pursuit of the world's best players underlines the club's status among Europe's elite as speculation continues to grow over the imminent arrival of Newcastle midfielder Bruno Guimaraes.
The Gunners are closing in on a deal for the Brazil international and have also been linked with a sensational move for Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior, although manager Mikel Arteta refused to be drawn on either player following his side's 3-1 pre-season defeat by Real Betis in Dublin.
Calafiori, however, admitted **** nal's growing pulling power reflects how far the Premier League champions have come.
"It's not official, so I cannot speak about him (Bruno)," said the Italy defender.
Asked if actively trying to sign players such as Guimaraes and Vini Jnr were taking **** nal to another level, he added:

In a recent report, A Bola mentioned that Sunderland are exploring a move for Sporting CP winger Geny Catamo this summer. It has been revealed that the Black Cats have initiated contact to acquire the services of the Mozambique wide player this off-season.
Catamo managed to catch the eye at times for Sporting in the previous campaign as he managed to produce a run of impressive displays for them in Liga Portugal. The 25-year-old registered eight goals and five ******* ists in 47 matches for the Portuguese outfit last season in all competitions.
The Mozambique international is currently one of the most talented wingers in Liga Portugal. Therefore, it is no wonder that the Black Cats are trying to get him on board later this year.
Catamo is under contract at the Portuguese club until the summer of 2028, which could make it difficult for Sunderland to sign him on the cheap in this transfer window.

Well folks, it's that time again. August is here and so begins ******* nal's slate of preseason matches. Today, the Gunners face Girona to cap off a week of training in Spain. They take on Real Betis (and Hector Bellerin) in Dublin on Wednesday, August 5th, Dortmund next Sunday in the Emirates Cup, and Como on August 12th before the Community Shield on August 16th. The Premier League season kicks off in less than three weeks — the 21st home to newly promoted Coventry.

Everyone should be prepared to overreact wildly to a lineup several players off the first XI. Because that's what you do in the preseason, after all. None of Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Magalhaes, Martin Ødegaard, Declan Rice, Ebere Eze, Bukayo Saka, Noni Madueke, David Raya, Mikel Merino, Martin Zubimendi, nor William Saliba are in today's squad.
The Brazilians rejoined the team in the last day or two. Gabriel Martinelli got married a few days ago in Greece but is back with the squad. Martin Ødegaard is due back next week. The England players after that and the Spanish contingent last of all. William Saliba will miss a fair bit of time recovering from the back injury he played through at the end of the season and during the World Cup.
The Gunners are also expected to do a fair bit of business before the start of the season. A move for Bruno Guimaraes seems close. The rumors are swirling around a massive move for Vini Jr. The club intends to sign a CB to cover during Saliba's absence. They may also sign a right back — Jurrien Timber is still recovering from the groin problem that kept him out of the World Cup.

Arsenal have a problem, and it is a serious one. William Saliba, arguably the club’s most important defender, is set for a long spell out after suffering a back injury during France’s World Cup semi-final defeat to Spain. According to Sky Sports, ****** nal are now looking hard at the centre-back market, with John Stones and Ezri Konsa among the names under consideration.
That much is logical. Saliba has “avoided the need for surgery” but still faces “a lengthy period of rehabilitation”. You do not lose a defender of that calibre and pretend your existing depth solves everything. ****** nal have numbers at the back, yes, but top-level sides do not build plans around wishful thinking. They build around certainty, availability and profile.
That is where this story gets interesting. Stones and Konsa are both credible options, both known quantities in the Premier League, and both capable of playing at right-back. The similarity ends there.
Arsenal have already moved to “consolidated their defensive options” by signing Piero Hincapie permanently after his loan from Bayer Leverkusen. They also have Gabriel, Riccardo Calafiori, Cristhian Mosquera, Jurrien Timber and Ben White available, or close to available, across the defensive line.
But context matters. White is only just back in training after the knee injury he suffered in May. Timber has said he is “hopefully back soon” as he recovers from a groin problem. In other words, there are still too many variables. Arteta cannot go into the season knowing Saliba is out for an “extended period” and simply hope the rest of the puzzle pieces stay in place.

Riccardo Calafiori is one of the players who emerged from Roma's youth system and has managed to establish himself on the big stage.
The former Giallorossi defender won the Premier League with ****** nal this year and lost the Champions League final on penalties against PSG (a match in which he was an unused substitute).
Before wearing the ****** nal jersey, the 2002-born player was sold by Mourinho and Pinto's Roma to Basel for just over €2 million, retaining a 40% interest in the future sale.
He subsequently moved to Bologna, and the Giallorossi collected €1.5 million. However, a stalemate ensued over the additional €9 million that Roma requested from the Swiss club.
The Rossoblu sold Calafiori for €43 million, and half of that money, nearly €22 million, ended up in Basel's coffers.

Jose Mourinho is understandably worried about Real Madrid’s defensive situation, and has made it his first priority to renovate the department.
He has already seemingly secured two big names in Denzel Dumfries and Ibrahima Konate and both stars could be announced as new Real Madrid players as early as this week.
The Portuguese manager, however, is not satisfied and has reportedly asked for two more signings – an elite centre-back and a starting-quality left-back.
As confirmed by Diario AS recently, Real Madrid have two targets to fill the aforementioned voids – Josko Gvardiol and Riccardo Calafiori.
