On September 3, 2026, lululemon athletica inc. (NASDAQ:LULU) reported second-quarter fiscal 2026 results for the period ended August 2, 2026. Net revenue fell 4% to $2.4 billion, missing the $2.46 billion ****** ysts expected, and comparable sales dropped 10% on a constant dollar basis. Management cut full-year revenue guidance to a decline of 5% to 7%, down from a prior forecast of flat to down 1%, and lowered full-year earnings per share guidance to $9.48 to $9.73 from its prior forecast of $10.95 to $11.15, compared with $13.26 earned in fiscal 2025. Shares fell about 18% in extended trading. Incoming CEO Heidi O'Neill was set to start the following week.

Citi's cut to $117 from $130 came with a Neutral rating and the observation that the stock's risk-reward is "slightly more favorable" after the selloff, even though the firm called fiscal 2027 visibility "very unclear." The operational bright spots are real.
lululemon athletica inc. (NASDAQ:LULU) increased its chase volume, the supply chain capability that lets it reorder fast-moving styles quickly, by about 20% this year, and away-from-body styles including the Groove Wide-Leg, Align Foldover Jogger, Breezily, and an updated Dance Studio Pant are trending well as shoppers shift from tight-fitting leggings. The brand's community pull held up too.
The SeaWheeze Half Marathon and Festival returned in August for the first time since 2019, drawing nearly 10,000 runners from 24 countries and roughly 14,000 festival attendees, while more than 85,000 people from 120 countries joined the companion Strava challenge, strong enough that Lululemon already committed to bringing the event back next summer. Rest of World revenue, spanning EMEA and APAC, grew 5% on a reported basis, and the company ended the quarter with $1.4 billion in cash and no outstanding borrowings.

Lululemon fell 18% after Meghan Frank delivered a second guidance cut, dropping the full-year EPS outlook to roughly $9.60 from last year's $13.26.
Nike fell 10% and On Holding dropped 14% over the same month, suggesting athletic-apparel sector headwinds extend well beyond Lululemon alone.
An 86-cent tariff refund inflated Q2 EPS but won't recur, making Lululemon's reported profit look cleaner than the challenge facing incoming CEO Heidi O'Neill.

Lululemon Athletica (NASDAQ:LULU) stock is under sustained pressure after a September earnings update that lowered management's outlook for the year. Retail broadly softened alongside it, and the broad market held up better, which frames the question of how much of the damage is company-specific and how much is sector-wide. Peer moves are part of that same picture, since athletic-apparel names moved lower together across the past month.

Lululemon Athletica Inc. (NASDAQ:LULU) recently issued its second guidance cut of the year, and investors responded immediately by sending shares down roughly 18%. That selloff came despite an EPS beat, but the headline result was heavily supported by a tariff refund rather than underlying business strength. Brand sentiment, traffic, and leggings sales are all weakening across the company's two largest markets. The key issue for investors is no longer whether the quarter was weak, but whether the stock's low valuation and new CEO can provide the catalyst for a meaningful recovery.
Lululemon shares dropped 18% after the company lowered its full-year guidance for the second time this year. Revenue is now projected to range from $10.35 billion to $10.5 billion, while EPS guidance was reduced to $9.48 to $9.73. Both represent sharp reductions from its earlier guidance ranges. Second-quarter revenue was particularly weak, falling 4% to $2.4 billion and coming in below consensus estimates, while comparable sales dropped 9%, or 10% on a constant-dollar basis. According to the company, negative commentary had affected traffic in both the U.S. and China, while leggings sales slowed more than expected. Although reported EPS beat estimates, nearly all of that upside came from an $0.86 per share tariff refund. For the third quarter, management expects revenue to decline another 10% to 11%.
Lululemon still has several financial advantages that could support the business through its current slowdown. The company has no outstanding borrowings and maintains $1.4 billion in cash. First-half operating cash flow climbed to $589 million, more than double the prior year. Inventory per unit also declined roughly 7% year over year, reducing the risk of a margin-damaging clearance event. Meanwhile, shares have fallen over 50% year-to-date and now trade at a historically depressed valuation, potentially creating an out-of-favor-setup for investors. At the same time, management continued its buyback program, repurchasing $330 million worth of shares during the quarter.
The weakness in traffic and leggings sales cannot be ignored, and both remain serious concerns. However, the company has a debt-free balance sheet, stronger cash generation, and a valuation that already reflects much of the recent bad news. That gives Lululemon room to prove that its current struggles are mainly execution-related rather than signs of a structural decline.

For 23 years, it has been the world's most annoying sports trivia question: Who's the last American man to win a Grand Slam singles ****** le?
Ben Shelton has always been the one with the ability to change it.
No disrespect to any of the others who have carried the red, white and blue banner for more than two decades across the men's tennis tour since Andy Roddick won his US Open ****** le in 2003. John Isner served his way to millions of dollars and a few nice tournament wins. The likes of Mardy Fish and Sam Querrey did the best they could in the Roger Federer/Rafael Nadal/Novak Djokovic era. Taylor Fritz has worked tirelessly to improve his game and continues to be a factor among the best players in the world.
But there is no divine right for any country, even one as big and athletically successful as the USA, to produce Grand Slam champions in a global sport where only a select few are going to rise to the top. It takes everything: Talent, development, the right set of circumstances and maybe a little bit of luck.
And for Shelton, the 23-year old who was born in Atlanta, raised to be an NCAA champion in Gainesville, Fla., and unleashed onto the world stage by a meticulously patient father/coach, only one more match stands in his way of the ultimate American story.

Michigan news: Brian Kelly urges offensive change to fit Bryce Underwood appeared first on ClutchPoints. Add ClutchPoints as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
Brian Kelly knows Bryce Underwood's skill set better than most, and the former LSU coach thinks Michigan needs to make some changes.
Kelly recruited Underwood for two years and initially landed his commitment at LSU before the five-star quarterback ultimately flipped to Michigan. After watching Underwood struggle in Michigan's 13-12 Week 1 escape against Western Michigan, Kelly believes the Wolverines need to better utilize their quarterback's athleticism.
"He committed to me at LSU. I recruited him for two years, so I know him very well. He is an elite athlete," Kelly said on The Early Read with Danny Kanell and Roy Philpott on Sirius XM. "I mean, athletically off the charts… He's not a drop-back quarterback that's gonna sit there and read through progressions. He's a half-line guy. You need to keep him on the move. You need to run him. You gotta run this kid. He is big, physical, strong, and fast, and he's tough."

"These are exciting matches that we can look forward to. With Inter Milan, Villarreal CF, and Bodø/Glimt, we'll be facing three familiar opponents from last season, while at the same time, AEK Athens and Sabah FK – two teams we've never played before – are waiting for us. That's certainly exciting, especially since we still have a score to settle with Inter and Bodø from last year. Our minimum goal is to reach the Round of 16 – ideally, we'll achieve that within these eight games."

Niko Kovac: "Exciting matches await us, and we'll take every opponent very seriously. I can **** ure you: We'll be ready for the opener."

It's time for Lululemon Athletica (NASDAQ: LULU) to show us if its financial results can stretch as well as some of its signature yoga gear and fitness apparel. Lululemon reports its 2026 fiscal second-quarter results after the market close on Sept. 3.
Expectations are low, and understandably so for a stock that has been cut nearly in half from its December high. Lululemon's own guidance from early June calls for $2.450 billion to $2.475 billion in revenue, a 2% to 3% decline. Its per-share profit forecast of $1.76 to $1.81 for the quarter is well below the $3.10 it posted for the same quarter last summer.
Missed Nvidia in 2009? This Rare Signal Is Flashing Again. In 2009, a "Double Down" signal flashed for a little-known chipmaker called Nvidia. For the first time in years, that same "Total Conviction" signal is flashing for a company 1/100th the size of Nvidia. Continue »
Investors of the struggling retail stock could use a break. After five fiscal quarters of uninspiring single-digit revenue growth, Lululemon is bracing investors for only its second quarterly decline since going public 19 years ago. The only other time this happened was the first quarter of the COVID-19 shutdown.
Bulls will argue that Lululemon is cheap, trading for just 9 times trailing earnings. However, that's a flimsy argument when the bottom line has declined for five consecutive quarters. The chain's guidance predicts that the streak will extend to six reports in two weeks. Lululemon's forward earnings multiple is just above 10 right now.

JB Global Capital, an investment firm, released its second-quarter 2026 investor letter. A copy of the letter can be downloaded here. The fund declined 12.1% in Q2, largely driven by Alibaba, its largest holding. However, since inception on January 3, 2023, the fund has returned 109.7%, compared with 94.4% for the S&P 500. Additionally, please check the fund's top five holdings to know its best picks in 2026.
In its Q2 2026 investor letter, JB Global Capital highlighted Lululemon Athletica Inc. (NASDAQ:LULU). Lululemon Athletica Inc. (NASDAQ:LULU) designs, distributes, and retails athletic apparel, footwear, and accessories. On August 10, 2026, Lululemon Athletica Inc. (NASDAQ:LULU) closed at $127.80 per share. (NASDAQ:LULU) has a market capitalization of $14.51 billion.
JB Global Capital stated the following regarding Lululemon Athletica Inc. (NASDAQ:LULU) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"In September 2025, I published Investment Case: Lululemon Athletica Inc. (NASDAQ:LULU), calling the stock compelling value at $162 per share. The thesis rested on a business trading well below what its fundamentals justified: a debt-free balance sheet, 58% gross margins against a 33% industry average, and a brand strong enough to sustain 37% operating margins in both North America and mainland China. Triangulating across a DCF, relative comps to Nike and Adidas, and net ***** et value, I arrived at a fair value range of $194-280 per share. Today, the stock trades at roughly $123 per share, 24% below my initial entry.
So what went wrong? Two things: one about my own process, and one about how little of the future can be known in advance. The first is the limits of backward-looking ***** ysis. My thesis leaned heavily on trailing financials that were real, but historical. Since then, gross margin has compressed, operating margin has contracted, and ROE is down nearly 10% from a year ago. None of this means the business is broken. The balance sheet is still debt-free with $1.5 billion in cash, margins remain well above most apparel peers, and I still hold the position at roughly 9% of the portfolio. But it's a reminder that heavily underwriting the past for an exceptional business is an easy way to end up underwater on a position.…" (Click here to read the full text)

Michigan football writer Tony Garcia ranks the five most important players on the Wolverines' defense in 2026.
Michigan had to replace a pair of starters in the secondary last season when Will Johnson and Makari Paige left for the 2025 NFL Draft and while it brought in veterans like TJ Metcalf and Wesley Walker to fill in as experienced pieces, the DBs clearly missed their leader.
Shortly after former defensive coordinator Wink Martindale arrived in 2024, he compared Rod Moore to NFL All-Pro Eric Weddle in terms of his cognitive ability. While he doesn't wear the "green dot" with the headset to the defensive coordinator, Moore is the quarterback of the back end and ensures his running mates are on the same page and in the right positions.
THE OFFENSE: Ranking Michigan football's 5 most important offensive players in 2026
It was sorely missed the past two seasons, but he's said to be on track for a full return this year. While it remains to be seen where he is athletically after he comes back from multiple knee procedures, Moore's impact on the defense will be felt if he's even able to return to 80% of what he was when he was an All-Big Ten secondary piece in 2023.

Legendary coach Greg Jackson has seen it all.
For decades, Jackson has been one of the most recognizable and respected names in combat sports, making the high regard he holds for his pupil Gable Steveson all the more impressive.
"He's such a sweetheart, and good lord, is he a super athlete," Jackson recently told MMA Junkie. "He's super fast. I've locked up with a lot of people – and I'm not saying I'm a great fighter or anything. I lock up. I warm up with people, whatever. I used to do a lot more when I was younger. He's just so fast and so strong. It's just very rare that you lock up with somebody as fast and strong as he is. And he'll move around with me without hurting me at all, which is great for the old guy. Just feeling his athlete ability, his ability to change quickly from striking to takedowns and back again, it's just phenomenal. He's just a really special guy in a lot of ways. That's not just athletically. He's a sweetheart of a guy, too, and very respectful. He's an all-around good dude."
Jackson, who has long coached as JacksonWink in Albuquerque, N.M., was introduced to Steveson (3-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) by all-time MMA great Jon Jones. From the moment Jackson started working with him, he said it was evident Steveson was special. For Jackson, it's been about remaining calculated and a realist with Steveson – despite the pressure from outside forces about how fast he should or could move up the ladder.
"I'm always concerned," Jackson said. "I'm not a naysayer, but I'm always a guy that is very conservative. It drives everybody in every organization and all my fighters crazy. I'm much more conservative than I am, 'Let's go get them.' I like setting up parameters I know are going to win, etc., etc. So while I don't think it's a bad thing to be where he's at and ready to go, I'd always like more time. That doesn't mean I'm correct. Again, about this stuff, I can be very wrong. Do I think we are going to win this weekend? Absolutely. I think we are going to have a great time. But I'm always the guy who wants to go slower than everybody else does. ... To be honest, he has the ability. He's just incredible. I can't say enough good things about him. I'm always the voice you don't want to hear in the back going, 'Well, maybe we should slow down a little bit.'"

Point Park University in Pittsburgh has been approved for full NCAA Division II membership, effective Sept. 1.
The university reports that it completed its three-year provisional membership process in just two years after a waiver was approved by the NCAA.
The waiver was granted after Point Park met all NCAA compliance, academic and operational benchmarks a year early, transitioning from NAIA, officials say.
"Point Park is proud to be a member of both the Mountain East Conference and NCAA Division II," Point Park University President Chris W. Brussalis said. "We are honored that the NCAA recognized our athletic performance and commitment enough to waive a third provisional year and grant us full membership. We could not have done this without the unwavering support of the MEC and look forward to competing in the conference for many years to come."
"Today's news is historic for Point Park University and our entire downtown community," Athletics Vice President Scott Swain said. "Over the past two years, our student-athletes, staff, donors and community have strived for excellence with NCAA membership being the goal, today that hard work and commitment has paid off. NCAA membership will help our university grow – including enrollment, sponsorship, and achievements - both athletically and academically."

Greg Jackson believes GableSteveson has the potential to redefine mixed martial arts.

"He already won the Olympic gold medal atheavyweight in wrestling. That is so hard to do, I can't even tellyou. Where is the ceiling? What can he accomplish? What can hedo?"

He might be redefining what this sportis."

With the calendar turning to July, we're officially in the second half of 2026. The first half of the year produced some truly special moments, some serious head-scratchers and everything in between in the world of professional wrestling.
All throughout, we've been watching, ******* yzing, critiquing and fantasy booking, so what better group to dissect 2026 so far than the Uncrowned Horsemen themselves. So, without further ado, here's how Robert Jackman, Raj Prashad, Drake Riggs and Anthony Sulla-Heffinger rate the first half of the year in pro wrestling.
Let's ride!
Robert Jackman: I imagine we're going to have a fair bit of agreement here, but so be it. I'm going with Ospreay and Strickland at Forbidden Door this weekend. I really don't have much to add to Riggs' six-star review and live blog from the night itself, which now reads like a first draft of history.
It really was one of those matches that just ticked every box. It was athletically and technically impressive, it was well paced, there were killer spots, and it had a good storyline running throughout. The fact that they even made good use of the Death Riders feels like showing off. I mean, last year I couldn't wait to see the back of that crew, but they actually made it work.

Lululemon Athletica Inc (NASDAQ:LULU) shares rose more than 3% after shareholders approved three management-backed directors at the company's June 25 annual general meeting, helping resolve a prolonged proxy dispute with founder Chip Wilson.
The elected directors include former Levi Strauss CEO Chip Bergh, Unilever executive Esi Eggleston Bracey and finance veteran Teri List. Their appointment strengthens the board as the company prepares for incoming CEO Heidi O'Neill, who is set to take over in September.
Lululemon also confirmed that two of Wilson's nominees, former On co-CEO Marc Maurer and former ESPN chief marketing officer Laura Gentile, have also joined the board as independent directors.
A third mutually agreed director is expected to be added by October 1, expanding the board to 11 members.
The changes follow a settlement reached in May aimed at ending months of public tension between Wilson, who owns about 8.6% of the company, and Lululemon's leadership.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Football Bowl Subdivision teams would be allowed more on-field practices in the offseason, the number of preseason practices would be reduced and the window for entering the transfer portal would be shortened under a proposal introduced this week by an NCAA committee.
The Division I Football Bowl Subdivision Oversight Committee is scheduled to vote on the proposal in August and, if adopted, it would take effect Jan. 1.
The out-of-season activities model would replace the current spring practice and summer activities legislation and allow FBS schools to conduct two out-of-season practice periods with a total of 21 on-field practices. The duration of the two practice periods may not exceed a total of seven weeks, and neither period may exceed five weeks.
Teams are currently allowed to conduct 15 spring practices over 34 days.
In the summer, teams currently can require eight weeks of strength and conditioning training and film study with no on-field practice or coaching. Under the proposal, each school would designate a minimum of nine discretionary or voluntary weeks for players when required athletically related activities are not permitted.

A week ago, I predicted that Lululemon Athletica (NASDAQ:LULU) stock would take a beating if the company reported weak earnings or lowered its 2026 guidance. And unfortunately, both of those things happened when the company posted its fiscal 2026 first-quarter report on June 4.
Now the company is trading at an eight-year low, having fallen more than 12% post-earnings. Where does the athleisure company go from here?

First, let’s see what happened. For the quarter ending May 3, Lululemon posted revenue of $2.47 billion, up from $2.37 billion a year ago. However, the cost of goods sold jumped 14% year over year, pushing the company’s gross profit down by more than 4%. On top of that, Lululemon’s selling and general expenses rose 12.4%, to $1.05 billion. All that led to the company’s net income falling 38% to $195 million for the quarter. Earnings per share were $1.69, versus $2.60 in the same period a year ago.
While Lululemon is growing in popularity in China, its biggest problem lies in domestic sales, as revenue and comparable sales in the U.S. were down significantly from last year.
