As per Vanity Fair's estimate, Kiyosaki's personal debt share could be $30 million-$60 million. The debt pile is part of the personal finance author's investment strategy of borrowing against ***** ets that appreciate in value instead of emptying the bank account.

WASHINGTON, Sept 3 (Reuters) - Federal Reserve Governor Christopher Waller said on Thursday he is leaning toward keeping interest rates steady at the U.S. central bank's policy meeting this month if the next batch of inflation data shows price pressures are continuing to moderate.
Pointing to the importance of "what we learn" about inflation data for August, Waller told a Reuters NEXT Newsmaker event in Washington that "if there is continued progress toward our 2% goal, then I am willing to support holding the policy rate at its current level."
"I'm going to paraphrase John Lennon here. Give disinflation a chance" and refrain from prematurely raising rates to allow a cooling process to play out, Waller said. In terms of that patience, "I'm not going to say let's wait until next year, but let's just wait and see if we get some improvement on this."
Waller, however, said the data could also move in a way that would lead him to argue that the Fed needs to take action to control price pressures at its September 15-16 policy meeting.

Gold (GC=F) December futures opened at $4,377.20 per troy ounce on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, down 0.4% from Tuesday's closing price. Gold slipped further this morning to $4,357.50 per troy ounce as of 6:31 a.m. ET.
The U.S. military carried out further attacks on Iranian targets, with Iran quickly retaliating with strikes of its own on U.S. military bases in the Middle East. These are the second set of U.S. airstrikes over the past three days, marking a significant reescalation in the U.S.-Iran conflict.
As a result, gold prices opened at their lowest levels in two weeks and fell further this morning. Oil prices are back on the rise as the Strait of Hormuz continues to be the center of contention.
If fighting continues and energy costs soar again, the chances of a Fed rate increase later this month will only grow, capping gold price growth.

Sustainable Growth Advisers (SGA), an investment management company, released its second-quarter 2026 investor letter for its "Global Growth Strategy." The letter can be downloaded here. The SGA Global Growth Portfolio returned 7.4% gross and 7.2% net, compared with 14.9% for the MSCI ACWI and 19.8% for the MSCI ACWI Growth Index. Momentum leadership and enthusiasm around AI infrastructure drove markets, with semiconductor, memory, and hardware stocks accounting for much of the gain. Although the portfolio owned AI beneficiaries, broader holdings lagged despite fundamentals, as median revenue and EPS growth reached 12% and 14% and more than 60% of the holdings beat expectations. SGA believes valuation compression reflects sentiment rather than weaker business quality, leaving the portfolio near its widest discount to the market since inception. The firm continues to favor durable compounders and expects 16% revenue growth and 20% earnings growth over three years. Also, please check the Fund's top five holdings to see its best picks for 2026.
In its second-quarter 2026 investor letter, SGA Global Growth Strategy highlighted Alcon Inc. (NYSE:ALC). Alcon Inc. (NYSE:ALC) is a Swiss-based healthcare and medical technology company focused on eye care products. On August 21, 2026, Alcon Inc. (NYSE:ALC) closed at $73.63 per share. The one-month return of Alcon Inc. (NYSE:ALC) was 9.44% and its shares lost 8.83% over the past 52 weeks. Alcon Inc. (NYSE:ALC) has a market capitalization of $36.68 billion.
SGA Global Growth Strategy stated the following regarding Alcon Inc. (NYSE:ALC) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"During the quarter, we exited our position in Alcon Inc. (NYSE:ALC). Alcon remains a leader in eye care with exposure to increasing secular demand driven by aging and myopia, with market leadership across multiple categories. Strong launches in new equipment and eye drops drove topline growth of 6% constant currency and earnings per share growth of 16%+ in Q1. This was slightly below expectations of 7% growth, as the market for cataracts and contact lenses remains subdued. Additionally, the premium intraocular lens for cataracts is getting more competitive, with Alcon remaining the leader but expected to continue to cede share from the highs of 80%+ as competitors are catching up. Management continues to execute well on product launches to offset pressures in intraocular lens, which accounts for 17% of total sales. However, to account for the increased competition and subdued market conditions overall, we gradually reduced the position before ultimately redeploying the capital into a higher growth opportunity in Schneider Electric."

This year has been an exciting time for the stock market. Despite some short-term downturns related to the Iran conflict and ongoing uncertainty about inflation and rising interest rates, investors seem bullish on stocks. The S&P 500 (SNPINDEX: ^GSPC) recently reached all-time highs and is up about 13% year to date.
But how should you invest for the future? Is buying the S&P 500 index a good bet for the long term?

Here's what every investor should keep in mind: In the past 98 years, since 1928, the S&P 500 has delivered average annual returns of about 10%. That average return includes many booms, busts, and economic crises along the way.
But if you're a long-term investor, buying the S&P 500 tends to be a smart choice because it lets you own the 500 largest publicly traded companies in America. Those companies tend to be good at making money and delivering returns to shareholders.

ZURICH, Aug 21 (Reuters) - Artificial intelligence can push inflation higher in the short term although the overall effect of the technology remains unclear, Swiss National Bank governing board member Petra Tschudin said in an interview published on Friday.
The central bank was looking closely at the impact of AI on prices, saying it could have an effect in both directions, Tschudin told newspaper Finanz und Wirtschaft.
"Investment flows are being partly redirected, which can mean adjustments and difficulties for the rest of the economy," Tschudin said.
"Shortages can occur, for example with chips, causing prices to rise. In the short or medium term, therefore, upward inflationary pressure can also arise."
In the longer term artificial intelligence could also lower prices by increasing productivity and making goods cheaper, she said.

Intel's Q2 revenue rose 25% year over year, a massive acceleration from Q1's 7% growth. Margins jumped to about 42% and AI segment grew 59%, while foundry revenue rose 31%.

Snowflake (SNOW) stock has already delivered a powerful rally in 2026, but Oppenheimer believes the data cloud company still has plenty of room to run. The firm raised its price target to $400 from $295 while maintaining an "Outperform" rating, representing a roughly 36% increase in its target.

That trial was considered a crucial stepping stone toward an FDA approval in the U.S. -- which would clear the way for private insurance and Medicare plans to cover its tests.
However, Grail already sells Galleri on a cash-only basis (for $749 to $949) to independent customers, select employers, hospital pilots, and telehealth programs. Its NHS England trial also wasn't a complete failure: Galleri's users in the trial still had fewer Stage IV cancers detected, and it achieved earlier (Stage I and II) detection of the deadliest cancers.
Even without a near-term FDA approval, ******* ysts expect Grail's revenue to grow from $147 million in 2025 to $281 million in 2028. It won't generate a profit anytime soon, and its stock isn't cheap at 17 times this year's sales, but an FDA approval could help it crush those estimates. Therefore, I think it's smarter to buy and hold Grail at under $70 than to hastily sell it.

The bears may not be going anywhere on semiconductor stocks.
Quick insight: The VanEck Semiconductor ETF (SMH) — which counts Nvidia (NVDA), Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM), and Broadcom (AVGO) as its top three holdings — has begun to form a head-and-shoulders stock pattern, according to Yahoo Finance AlphaSpace chart ****** ysis (below).
The left shoulder took shape starting in mid-May, with the head forming in late June, and now the right shoulder has emerged. The pattern will be official if the ETF falls below the May 19 closing low of $543.
The head-and-shoulders pattern is widely considered bearish, as it suggests that buyers are gradually losing control of the market for a particular stock or ETF.
During the formation of the left shoulder and head, buyers can still push prices to new highs. But the inability to push higher on the right shoulder suggests that buyer demand is beginning to weaken.

Together, Expedia (EXPE) and Booking.com (BKNG) account for roughly half of the online travel agency market. While Booking's market capitalization of $139 billion dwarfs the roughly $32 billion market cap of its rival, Expedia stock has a spot on the Investor's Business Daily Breakout Stocks Index while Booking.com does not.
While both stocks recently reset their base counts, Expedia stands poised for a breakout, which would mark a record high. Meanwhile, Booking.com remains mired below its 200-day line.
Expedia's portfolio of brands includes Expedia for full-service booking, Hotels.com, specializing in hotels, and Vrbo to handle vacation rentals. Booking's portfolio includes Priceline, Agoda, Kayak, OpenTable, and Rentalcars.com.
While Hilton Worldwide (HLT) coined the term "Whycation," Expedia and Booking.com have both tapped into the trend of purpose-driven, goal-oriented getaways.
As part of its Unpack'26 report, Expedia also outlined its Set-Jetting Forecast, focusing on travel spots inspired by movies and TV shows. According to Expedia, 81% of Gen Z and millennial travelers now plan getaways based on TV shows and movies. Expedia also showcases Fan Voyage for sports travel and Farm Charm through its Vrbo business. Through Hotels.com, it also spotlights Salvaged Stays with retreats converted from architectural relics.
