The common thread is artificial intelligence. All three markets sit at the heart of the semiconductor supply chain powering the AI boom. Taiwan is home to TSMC, the contract manufacturer building the most advanced AI chips. South Korea's Samsung and SK Hynix dominate the high-bandwidth memory those chips depend on. No other single country added more than 1 percentage point to VXUS's return. The only other region to clear that bar was Western Europe, which collectively contributed 3.3 percentage points.

INDIANAPOLIS — Five-time Brickyard 400 winner Jeff Gordon has returned to one of the most important places in his racing life — this time as the centerpiece of history.
The Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum has opened "Jeff Gordon," its newest rotating exhibition, marking the first time the museum has dedicated an entire exhibit to a single NASCAR driver. The exhibit traces Gordon's journey from quarter midgets and sprint cars to becoming a four-time NASCAR Cup Series champion and the winningest driver in Brickyard 400 history.
"It's more than a dream come true," Gordon said. "You just hope as a young kid who becomes a race car driver that you get to do it professionally, that you can have success doing it professionally, and do it as long as possible and stay healthy doing it. I got to do that and a whole lot more."
Open through February, the exhibit features 13 race cars spanning every stage of Gordon's career, more than 70 helmets and never-before-displayed artifacts, including his first bicycle racing trophy, the first Jeff Gordon T-shirt, the firesuit from his first sprint car victory and the Williams Formula One steering wheel he used during his 2003 seat swap with Juan Pablo Montoya at IMS.
"I look at this room and walk through the timeline, and that's what comes back is just all the dreams and the hard work and everything paying off," Gordon said.

WASHINGTON, July 22 (Reuters) - From too many zeros to too few, and even the letter 'O' typed in its place, the new systems at the Pentagon have uncovered a trail of mistakes as the Defense Department pursues its first clean audit.
After years of work, the ‌Pentagon is on track to pass its first-ever financial audit in 2028, the U.S. Army's top financial officer told Reuters, a breakthrough for an ‌agency that manages nearly $1 trillion a year but has never been able to fully account for its spending.
Since 2018, the Pentagon has undergone annual audits ***** sing how it tracks weapons, property and personnel across its global operations. The audit was congressionally mandated in a bill passed in 1990, but department-wide audits began in 2018 after delays and reprieves.
Repeated failures have revealed gaps in the department's financial systems, making it difficult to trace government funds from the time they are allocated until they are spent.

Liverpool have turned up the heat in the battle against ticket touting, and their recent major campaign has already produced results.

As part of the partnership, the companies have also signed a long-term supply agreement for carbonatite, a mineral-rich resource containing calcium, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, trace minerals, and beneficial microbial properties. Replenish will incorporate the material into its proprietary regenerative fertilizer products, securing a reliable supply of a key ingredient for future growth.

In the 1980s, Coca-Cola infamously introduced a reformulated version of their signature soda that ended up going by the name New **** e. It didn’t go over very well: sales slumped, chastened executives were forced to reintroduce the classic **** e, and conspiracy theories about the revamped recipe being a scheme to juice sales of the rescued original recipe spread. Tonight, Aaron Nola pitched in front of a Coca-Cola logo drawn into the mound dirt. Like that vaunted soft drink, Nola has two recipes: Nola Classic, a highly effective, if not quite ace-level, pitcher, and New Nola, the struggling hurler whose long-ball nemesis often gets the better of him. Will Coca-Nola Classic ever make a permanent return to the beverage aisle? We hope so. But tonight, we got the not-so-sweet taste of New Nola, as the Dodgers took the series.
Nola got the night started off right with a one-pitch out of Shohei Ohtani. Alec Bohm got it started off even more right with a two-run shot to left in the bottom first. In the second, Nola struck out Max Muncy on a classic knuckle curve, then put out the next two Angelenos down on fly **** . It was smooth sailing at first for the Louisianan hurler. And it continued that way through the first two outs of the third. Ohtani was given an intentional walk. The move paid off, as Ohtani became part of a twin killing that ended the frame. But the damage was done, and the lead was lost.
Not for long. Bryan De La Cruz sent a fastball flying towards the greenery of the batter’s eye as the first batter in the Phillie fifth. Andy Pages stretched out his arm, and for a moment it looked as if he’d come down with it. Like a bank robber foiled by the dye packs in a sack of cash, his would-be burglary was foiled at the last second, with the ball glancing off his leather and landing safely over the fence to tie the game. Bryson Stott doubled, but was put out on a baserunning blunder; dredging up some bad memories from the not-so-distant past.

Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said Tuesday that federal officials have brought the multistate cyclospora outbreak "under control," saying investigators have identified the source of the illnesses and implemented recalls, even as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) continues investigating the precise source of the contamination.
"We do have the outbreak under control," Kennedy said during a healthcare fraud briefing Tuesday. "We have done extensive forensics, epidemiological forensics and we have identified the source of the outbreak. We, and the companies that are involved, have implemented a recall."
Kennedy's comments came two days after the FDA said an earlier laboratory result indicating a Taylor Farms lettuce sample tested positive for cyclospora should be considered a false positive following an additional laboratory review.
The FDA said it continues investigating the outbreak and collecting product samples. While traceback investigators identified Taylor Farms de Mexico as the supplier of shredded iceberg lettuce served at Taco Bell restaurants linked to the outbreak, the agency said no product samples connected to the investigation have produced a confirmed positive result for the parasite.

The US dollar has rallied a bit during the early part of the trading session against the Canadian dollar, right here at the 50-day EMA, making a nice technical bounce. For those who are Fibonacci retracement type traders, this is just above the 38.2% Fibonacci retracement level and the 1.40 level. If this holds, this is thought of by technical **** ysts quite often as a very bullish sign because the retrace was somewhat shallow.
Keep in mind that there are external factors out there, such as oil, that come into the picture, but as things stand right now looks like technical traders are trying to defend the 50-day EMA.
The US dollar initially fell against the Swiss franc, only to turn around and show signs of life again. The market is in the midst of a consolidation, and surprisingly, with all of the chaos over the weekend, we have not seen massive moves in the market. Generally speaking, that typically lends itself to quiet trading action, and that is exactly what we have seen here in what has been an uptrend for a while.
The US dollar has gone back and forth against the Mexican peso. We continue to see the 17.50 level offer a bit of a magnet for price, and as long as that is the case, I think you have got a scenario where traders are probably just waiting for the next catalyst.
The interest rate differential does favor the Mexican peso, and as a general rule, the better America does, the better the peso does because Mexico is the number one exporter into the United States globally.

(NEXSTAR) – Yet another state has been linked to the multistate outbreak of the parasite-linked sickness cyclosporiasis as investigators seek to positively identify the cause.
While the Food and Drug Administration has confirmed that a positive test result linked to samples of Taylor Farms-branded shredded lettuce sourced from central Mexico was instead a false positive, the investigation remains focused on the produce.
"FDA's traceback investigation and outbreak data continue to converge on shredded iceberg lettuce from Taylor Farms locations in central Mexico," the FDA said Monday. The agency added that it "will continue to work with federal and state partners to investigate this multistate outbreak and ensure products implicated in this outbreak have been removed from the market."
Product samples are still being collected, but "there are no confirmed positive sample results" linked to the cyclospora outbreak, the FDA said.

Dan Ives logs into the Zoom call in a loud, tropical shirt, the word "Margaritaville" splashed across the chest. He has spent the better part of 25 years as one of Wall Street's most recognizable tech bulls — a go-to voice on everything from Apple to Nvidia, a prolific note-writer who repeated the phrase "fourth industrial revolution" and has been telling investors, through every dip and correction, that they're still in the early innings. He has made a lot of people a lot of money by being consistently, loudly optimistic about technology stocks.
Now he is doing what he spent a decade and a half telling everyone else to do.
"Look, I'm an example of what I've preached over the years that AI will ultimately create more jobs than what it takes away," he told me in an interview, several weeks after leaving Wedbush Securities to launch Yorkville Ives, what he calls a "modern merchant bank" with Yorkville Securities. "If it wasn't for the AI revolution and it wasn't for this period … I couldn't do something like this."
That's the short version of what happened. The longer version, Ives told Fortune, is that after 25 years covering other people's companies, he realized he had never actually built one himself — and he wanted to. "As an ***** yst I always talk about companies, whether good or bad, what they've done. But I've never built anything," he said. He has helped institutional investors make money and CEOs shape narratives, he added, but he felt the itch. "I wanted to get off the treadmill and actually build something myself."
The first question, though, is just what he is building, actually. Ives said he traces the merchant bank concept back to Thomas Weisel and the early Jefferies era of the 1990s — outfits that didn't just publish research but put their own capital into transactions. "A lot of banks … they won't put their own money [in], they don't have the capital," he said. "That to me is really the key in terms of the difference with a merchant bank versus a typical investment bank."

Eighty percent of new Ebola cases in eastern Congo are emerging from unknown chains of transmission, the World Health Organization said Tuesday, a sign the outbreak is spreading faster than health officials can track despite an expanding response.
Congo has been battling an outbreak of a rare type of Ebola since May, with no approved treatment or vaccine. The Africa Centres for Disease Control says it is the fastest-growing Ebola outbreak on the continent.
"Perhaps the most alarming finding is that many of the newly reported deaths are people who died in their communities without ever reaching a health facility and without receiving care," Chikwe Ihekweazu said after returning from Bunia, in Ituri province, one of the worst-hit cities. "And as of today, 80% of new cases are outside our contact lists and so are coming to us from unknown chains of transmission."
People who die outside the health system cannot be isolated, treated or have their contacts traced promptly, increasing the risk of further transmission.
The outbreak, Ihekweazu said, "continues to outpace the response efforts."

On June 30, 2026, Biohaven Ltd. (NYSE:BHVN) announced the completion of enrollment in RISE3, a pivotal Phase 2/3 randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study evaluating opakalim for refractory focal epilepsy. Opakalim is Biohaven's selective Kv7.2/7.3 channel activator, and top-line results from the study are expected in 2H 2026.

WEST ALLIS – Two-time IndyCar champion and two-time Indianapolis 500 winner Josef Newgarden has won two races this season but has been relatively quiet off the track.
Newgarden, 34, has spoken minimally with reporters outside of postrace news conferences and only twice in group settings – on the red carpet at the Indianapolis 500 banquet and briefly at Detroit – since suffering a foot injury in a crash at Indy.
During a test July 8 at the Milwaukee Mile ahead of the Aug. 28-30 doubleheader weekend, though, Newgarden did spend almost 10 minutes with local media.
He touched on the test itself, his desire to win at the Mile and his appreciation for Team Penske. Newgarden, who sits sixth in points, still gets to and from his car with crutches and wears a hard boot on his left foot and ankle but declined to speak about his injury beyond the most general terms.
Here are a few highlights.

A company delivered its strongest results in a decade, yet its stock price suggests investors are looking right through the good news.
Gen Digital (GEN) sells peace of mind for your digital life. Through brands like Norton, Avast, and LifeLock, it protects everything from your laptop against viruses to your identity against theft. Over the past year, the business has performed exceptionally well, with revenue growing 27.1%. The stock, however, has not. It returned -9.0% over the same period, badly trailing the S&P 500. There is no single headline to explain the disconnect. This raises a critical question for investors: who is right about Gen Digital's future, its stellar performance or its stagnant price?
Why did a 27% revenue jump leave the stock behind?
The company's growth is not an illusion. Trailing twelve-month revenue hit $5.0 billion, and this isn't a one-time event lapping an easy comparison; the most recent quarter's growth was 27.0%, a clear acceleration from its 3-year average of 15.1%. Nor is this growth coming at the expense of profitability. The company's operating margin is a healthy 43.1%, and operating cash flow is 159% of net income, showing the earnings are real.
The entire gap between the business and the stock can be traced to one place: the valuation multiple. Over the last year, as the business grew, its price-to-sales multiple compressed by 25.2%. In effect, the market decided to pay significantly less for each dollar of Gen's sales, erasing the gains from its strong operational performance. This implies the market is pricing in a problem that isn't yet visible in the financial results.

Millions of Americans dared to dream the impossible dream as Fox’s World Cup ad campaign aptly described throughout the U.S. Men’s National Team’s once-in-a-generation World Cup run on home soil. Alas, many of those millions of Americans were left with the same feelings of emptiness and disappointment, as has become so familiar for men’s soccer in this country, when the USMNT’s run came to a screeching halt at the hands of Belgium in a last-16 tilt on Monday evening.
It was the fourth consecutive time the American men have exited a World Cup in the round-of-16, barring the disastrous 2018 tournament that the Yanks failed to even qualify for. As you probably heard many times throughout Monday’s telecast, one would have to trace all the way back to 2002 to find a USMNT World Cup run beyond the final 16; a quarterfinal berth that still proves to be the U.S.’s only one in the modern World Cup format.
But judging by the social media reaction on Monday night and throughout the day on Tuesday, and the record-setting viewership figures USMNT games were posting throughout this World Cup, there was a resonance with this team that hasn’t necessarily been the case in prior years. Fox is touting an audience of 30 million viewers for Monday’s game, a figure that will likely increase once Nielsen releases its final tally. More than 26 million viewers watched the first knockout game against Bosnia and Herzegovina. And USMNT group-stage games were clocking in at near 20 million viewers. Those figures aren’t even counting Telemundo’s Spanish-language audiences.
To put these audiences in perspective, the USMNT averaged viewership comparable to a solid Sunday Night Football game or the NFL Wild Card round during its run. The English-language audience for Monday’s game against Belgium will likely surpass the College Football Playoff National Championship between Indiana and Miami (30.1 million viewers) when all is set and done.

Fermín Aldeguer is hurt, the Sachsenring is this weekend, and BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP is rolling into the German Grand Prix with exactly one bike in its garage. Not two. Not a spare machine hastily prepped for a substitute. One. Alex Márquez rides, his teammate's pit box sits empty, and ***** ody at Gresini is treating that as some sort of crisis. This German round also slots into this weekend's full racing slate, but the story here isn't about who shows up. It's about who doesn't.
That's because MotoGP, unlike the box-ticking world of stick-and-ball leagues, has no rule forcing a team to scramble for a fill-in rider when one of its regulars can't climb aboard. Gresini confirmed the news in a social post on July 6: "Aldeguer54 remains sidelined as he continues his enforced recovery and will miss the Sachsenring round. No replacement rider will be fielded." No committee hearing, no mandated reserve list. Just a team, an empty seat, and a shrug.
The injury traces back to ***** en. Aldeguer crashed during the Dutch Grand Prix weekend in late June, re-aggravating a rider who, in his own words afterward, was "frustrated to suffer another injury just when we were starting to regain positive feelings, both physically and with the bike." Gresini has described the injury as not serious, just significant enough to need real recovery time instead of a rushed comeback that risks turning a minor setback into a season-ending one.
Alex Márquez went down in that same session and somehow still raced. He described the aftermath bluntly afterward: pain "almost everywhere," a collarbone scare that thankfully didn't turn into a break, plus abrasions and a knock to the head. He skipped Q2 to manage the risk, started from the fourth row, and ground his way to fifth at ***** en anyway. Aldeguer didn't start the race at all. The two teammates now sit ninth and tenth in the championship, separated by just two points, 78 to 76, which is exactly why this weekend stings. Aldeguer can only fall further behind, feeding into the growing points gap that decides seasons, because there's no bike for him to score with.
Here's the part that exposes just how optional a replacement rider really is in this sport. In that same paddock, Castrol Honda LCR has spent weeks running Cal Crutchlow in place of Johann Zarco, who tore his ACL in a crash at Catalunya and isn't expected back until September. Crutchlow lines up at the Sachsenring for his fifth appearance of the season standing in for Zarco. Two teams, two injured riders, two completely different responses, and neither one broke a rule, because there isn't one to break.

Visitors will find 13 cars pulled from every era of his time at the top of the sport, a lineup that traces his rise from a young challenger into one of the most decorated names stock car racing has produced.
