Rosie O'Donnell has issued a public apology to Wynonna Judd for "assuming" she was a supporter of U.S. President Donald Trump.
In an interview for The Tangle podcast in August, the comedian - a fierce critic of the American leader - stated that the country singer was one of the only fans of Trump in her life.
"Now, I am friends with Wynonna Judd, who I love very much, and I've known her for many, many years," she told host Kyle Ridley at the time. "And she is a supporter of Trump. And somehow, we never bring it up. I give her a grace in a way... And I really love her, and I care about her, and, for some reason, I'm able to put that aside when we interact."
Last week, Judd clarified that she was "an independent" and never discussed her political beliefs during an interview for People, and on Wednesday, O'Donnell apologised to her longtime pal.
"I was wrong to ***** ume Wy was a Trump supporter just because she performed at marlargo (Mar-a-Lago)," the 64-year-old wrote on Instagram, referring to the Palm Beach, Florida resort owned by Trump. "But as she told me she has sung for seven presidents on both sides of the aisle (sic). My apologies here publicly (as I first made them privately) #friendship - she's touring her new album now - go see her SING like no one else on earth."
In addition, a representative for Judd told Entertainment Weekly that the 62-year-old "did not perform for Trump" when she was at Mar-a-Lago for an unrelated event and that the Tell Me Why star has performed for seven U.S. presidents over the course of her career, both Democrats and Republicans.

A comment made on a podcast this summer has left one country music star scratching her head and setting the record straight.
Wynonna Judd says she has never talked politics with longtime pal Rosie O'Donnell, even though the comedian claimed the singer backs President Donald Trump, according to an interview with People published on Friday, October 2.
"I'm in shock, just so you know," Judd, 62, said. "I've never spoken to her about politics in my life. She doesn't know anything about my stuff. I'm an independent."
The confusion goes back to August, when O'Donnell, 64, appeared on The Tangle with Kyle Ridley podcast. The former talk show host, a vocal critic of the president for years, said Judd was the one Trump supporter she still keeps in her life.

The Tennessee ***** ans will make their 2026 NFL season debut by hosting the New York Jets at Nissan Stadium in Week 1 this Sunday. There's so much to learn about these new-look ***** ans. Head coach Robert Saleh and the team's new coordinators Brian Daboll and Gus Bradley will officially make their debuts.
The most important aspect of the ***** ans' 2026 campaign is the development of sophomore quarterback Cam Ward. Coach Daboll is being tasked with overseeing his ascension. The ***** ans' new-look passing game will finally be unveiled versus the Jets.
This is a deep receiving core in Tennessee. Carnell Tate was drafted at fourth overall to grow alongside Ward. Wan'Dale Robinson was signed in free agency for his ability to be a high-volume, reliable weapon. Calvin Ridley is also back, and Elic Ayomanor had an excellent training camp. The ***** ans are four-deep at receiver.
Who do you think will lead the ***** ans in receiving in Week 1? It's an interesting question. Fans would love to see Tate explode after he failed to record a single preseason catch. Robinson should be Ward's most reliable weapon, possibly leading the ***** ans in targets. Ridley is a big-play threat who once played in Daboll's offense at Alabama.
Running backs and tight ends should also be heavily involved in the ***** ans' passing attack. Tony Pollard, Tyjae Spears, Gunnar Helm, and Daniel Bellinger will play notable roles in Daboll's offense. Ward will be tasked with spreading the ball around to a plethora of players.

Rapid reaction from the Tennessee ***** ans' 24-15 loss to the Chicago Bears at Nissan Stadium in the final of three preseason games:
Robert Saleh, deviating from the original plan, opted to rest most – but not all – of the ***** ans' starters for this final preseason game. Cam Ward, Jeffery Simmons, Wan'Dale Robinson, Calvin Ridley and others weren't in uniform, but several expected ***** ans contributors did play. Among them: Receivers Carnell Tate, Elic Ayomanor and Chimere Dike, right guard Fernando Carmona Jr., defensive linemen Solomon Thomas, Jordan Elliott and Jacob Martin, nickel cornerback Marcus Harris and linebackers Cedric Gray, Anthony Hill Jr. and James Williams Sr.
It wasn't the first-string this time, but the ***** ans' defense didn't start well in this preseason game, either, giving up a 97-yard touchdown on the Bears' first offensive snap when cornerback Keydrain Calligan fell down in coverage. Later in the first half, Chicago capped a 16-play, 69-yard drive with a second TD pass for quarterback Tyson Bagent, who was 16-of-17 passing for 208 yards.
Tate did not record a catch in three preseason games. He was targeted only once against the Bears, diving unsuccessfully for a deep ball thrown by quarterback Will Levis into the end zone. While the ***** ans surely would've liked to get more production from their rookie No. 4 overall draft pick in the preseason games, it eased some concerns to see Tate bounce back from a brief rough patch and play a starring role during this past week's joint practice with the Bears.
In what might've been his final game in a ***** ans' uniform, Levis started at quarterback (Mitch Trubisky didn't play, either) and went 14-of-22 passing for 143 yards. Vols legend Hendon Hooker played the rest of the way after halftime. Cut day will be here quickly on Aug. 30. It'll be interesting to see what happens with these two quarterbacks.

After how quarterback Cam Ward performed as a rookie for the Tennessee **** ans last season, it is difficult to imagine how he could be a viable option in fantasy football this season. However, ESPN fantasy **** yst Eric Moody believes otherwise. Here is what he said:
"Ward is someone I'm targeting as my QB3 in superflex formats. He struggled early as a rookie but improved after Tennessee's Week 10 bye, throwing 10 touchdowns to just one interception. Ward averaged 15.5 fantasy points over his final four full starts and ranked eighth in pass attempts despite taking a league-high 55 sacks. Tennessee upgraded his situation by hiring Brian Daboll as the OC, adding help along the O-line, signing Wan'Dale Robinson and drafting Carnell Tate fourth overall. The pieces are in place for a Year 2 breakout."
As Moody pointed out, Ward has much more to work with at the wide receiver position. Last season, his top receiver was Elic Ayomanor. Now, he has Calvin Ridley, Robinson and Tate who are all ahead of Ayomanor on their first unofficial depth chart. Nonetheless, a breakout year seems like a stretch.
The improvements on the offensive line should help minimize sacks, but Ward had a problem in college trying to make something happen and getting sacked as a result. That problem resurfaced in the NFL, which is part of why it took until mid-December for Ward to go one game without getting sacked.
He improved as the season progressed, so his numbers should be better this season. However, Ward is not someone to consider in standard fantasy leagues and should not be drafted too high in superflex leagues, and would only be a QB3 in those leagues.

Actress Daisy Ridley, best known for her portrayal of Rey in the "Star Wars" sequel trilogy, recently opened up about an injury that she suffered in her own home. Although she has done plenty of stunt training for her role as a Jedi and underwent serious swimming lessons for her role in "Young Women and the Sea," it appears she injured herself while doing ordinary housework.

On Saturday, August 22, the "Chaos Walking" actress revealed that she had pulled something in her back and injured something in her head or neck, as she couldn't turn it to the left.
"Scrubbed the oven so hard I pulled something in my back and can't turn my head to the left?!" she posted in an Instagram Story on Saturday morning.
The photo features her sitting close to the camera wearing a black tank top. She is resting her head in one hand as she glances away from the camera.

Kendall Jenner and Jacob Elordi are celebrating! This week, the model flew across the pond to support her boyfriend at the world premiere of his new Ridley Scott-directed film, The Dog Stars, in London. And while she didn't join him on the red carpet—he posed next to his canine co-star, Rak Jasper, instead—it looks like the two marked the big night with a post-premiere date.
For the almost red-carpet debut, Jenner wore a sleek gray midi dress, with a sleeveless tank silhouette and a skintight fit. The classic style reached just above her knees, and she paired it with a handful of shiny black pieces, including thick rounded sunglasses and classic Bottega Veneta pumps. She carried her alligator Hermès Kelly Pochette as a clutch, and, with her right hand, grabbed Elordi's left.

Next to her, the man of the hour was still in his red-carpet look: a navy-blue double-breasted Bottega Veneta suit with sharp lapels and subtle pinstripe detailing. Under the jacket, he wore a bright-white shirt and a navy tie, and for footwear, he went with shiny dress shoes. He finished off the fit with little diamond hoops and tousled hair (and his growing stache, of course), before adding a pair of shades for the after party.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Look for Tennessee wide receiver Carnell Tate during practice and the rookie can be found kneeling or standing next to veteran Calvin Ridley, listening intently.
The No. 4 pick in April's NFL draft out of Ohio State is learning the **** ans' new offense, trying to fit into the NFL and picking up as much knowledge as possible from someone who knows both well.
"Oh, I try to pick Rid's brain every chance I get, and I used to grow up watching Rid (in his) Alabama days," Tate said. "Rid is an elite receiver, his moves elite. So I try and soak as much as possible from Rid."
Tate is Tennessee's future and arguably Cam Ward's top target already with the preseason opener Thursday night at San Francisco. Ridley? Well, the **** ans brought him in with a splashy free agent contract in 2024, and Ridley had to restructure that deal in March to stick around after an injury-plagued 2025 season.
Going into his eighth season at 31, Ridley said he likes living in Nashville and working with a talented, young group of receivers in Tennessee.

Nobody expected one of the most impressive guys of Tennessee ****** ans camp to be Elic Ayomanor.
The AFC South franchise spent the offseason stacking its receiver room around Cam Ward, using the fourth overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft on Carnell Tate and paying Wan'Dale Robinson $78 million to leave the Giants. Veteran Calvin Ridley is still around too.
Yet through the first two weeks in Nashville, the receiver beat reporters keep pointing to is the second-year pro who finished last season as a role player.
Tennessee ****** ans wide receiver Elic Ayomanor (5) is making a name for himself in training camp.
Jim Wyatt of ****** ans.com wrote that Ayomanor has been one of the biggest stars of camp. The plays back it up. Wyatt logged nine catches for Ayomanor in team periods over the first three practices, and ESPN's Turron Davenport noted a back-shoulder grab from Ward on the sideline. On the first padded day, when the physical mismatch matters most for a bigger receiver, Ayomanor kept winning.

The Tennessee ****** ans entered training camp with plenty of attention focused on first-round pick Carnell Tate and free agent signee Wan'Dale Robinson. Along with the return of Calvin Ridley, the ****** ans have a new starting core of wide receivers. However, another wide receiver has quietly become one of the biggest stories of camp in Elic Ayomanor.
The second-year receiver has consistently turned heads throughout the first week of training camp, and his performance recently earned praise from ESPN's Turron Davenport as the biggest standout. As Tennessee's receiver competition heats up, Ayomanor is making a strong case that he deserves to be a significant part of the offense in 2026.
For a player looking to establish himself in Brian Daboll's new system, it's been an ideal start.
Ayomanor spent a lot of his rookie season last year as the ****** ans' de facto WR1, after injuries limited Ridley to only seven games played. The former 2025 fourth-round pick finished the season as the team's leader in receiving yards (515) and touchdowns (4) from the wide receiver position.
Despite that, the ****** ans added Carnell Tate with the number four overall pick to pair with the veterans Calvin Ridley and Wan'Dale Robinson, who both have experience in new offensive coordinator Brian Daboll's offense. So, that relegates Ayomanor to WR4, which isn't a slight, and it appears he hasn't taken it that way.

The first mile marker of any Tennessee **** ans preseason was passed during their Aug. 3 practice. Yup, they wore full pads for the first time during this training camp. The acclimation period, officially, has ended.
Time to hit somebody:
Quarterback Cam Ward has his best practice yet of camp. Same for the entire offense.
From the jump, Ward looked more decisive and confident in flinging passes deeper down the field. He found Calvin Ridley for a big play, beating cornerback Cor'Dale Flott. He hit Wan'Dale Robinson several times in the middle of the field for nice gains. He had some nice throws and completed a higher percentage than what we'd been seeing from him going back to summer workouts.
So that was encouraging.

Calvin Ridley took a pay cut to remain with the **** ans this offseason, but it wasn't because he thinks he's lost the ability that made him an offensive threat in past seasons.
Ridley only played seven games before he fractured his fibula last season and he had 17 catches in those games, which had him on track for his least productive full season since entering the NFL. Ridley said over the weekend that neither those results nor the injury have left him questioning if he can keep pace.
"Hell yeah," Ridley said, via the team's website. "[I] can still beat all of them, still as fast as all of them. . . . If I stay healthy, I am going to be a good player on this team. I am going to contribute on this team."
Ridley is the most experienced member of the **** ans' receiving corps and he explained why he's been able to act as a mentor to younger teammates like Carnell Tate, Chimere Dike, and Elic Ayomanor.
"That's because I used to kick **** ," Ridley said. "And I still can."

The Tennessee ******* ans wrapped their first week of training camp with a spirited open practice for the fans to enjoy.
Afterward, veteran wide receiver Calvin Ridley met with the media and broke down his illness, his evaluation of Carnell Tate, and a reason why he took a pay cut to return to the ******* ans. He even offered up his thoughts on the receiving room after the additions of Tate and Wan'Dale Robinson, and it sounds like he is impressed.
Calvin Ridley said this is one of the deepest WR rooms he’s ever been in. Titans pic.twitter.com/Mn1E7jbOxc
"This is one of the deepest rooms I've been in. Like three, four, five, six, or seven guys." Ridley said, "Thing is, we're really deep. If we do what we've got to get on the same page as our quarterback, push."
Tennessee made some significant changes in their receiver room during the offseason to add some weaponry around Cam Ward. Couple that with some impressive growth from second-year receivers Chimere Dike and Elic Ayomanor, and the receiving corps looks completely different than it did in 2025.

The Tennessee **** ans took to the field on Saturday for their first public practice of the 2026 season, and while the weather was far from perfect, the fans brought a new energy to the field.
With both fans and media in attendance, the coverage and social media takes picked up, and here at **** ans Wire, we are focused on bringing all of those social media pieces together in a way that creates a snapshot of the practice and how the players performed.
Both JC Latham and Calvin Ridley returned to full activities and were visible throughout the session. In all, it was a solid day to finish off the NFL acclimation period, and now the real competition can begin on Monday when the pads go on.
Here are some of the standouts mentioned on the fourth day of practice.
One of the big keys to the **** ans' season is Ward's development, and that has been on display throughout the early portions of training camp. Ward looked solid on Saturday, and as Austin Stanley of Ato Z Sports points out, he is making some great strides.

The Tennessee ******* ans wide receiver said on Aug. 1 that the stomach bug that kept him out of the practice on July 29 came after a meal at the popular chain restaurant.

Ridley said he lost about 15 pounds because of the ordeal, but has gained most of it back
"I actually had that a couple times in my life. It's not a good thing, like a 24-hour thing."

The Toronto Blue Jays have spent much of the season shuffling organizational depth as injuries and roster movement have created opportunities throughout the minor leagues. Catching depth, in particular, became a focus after an unexpected injury forced the organization to look outside the system.
That search led the Blue Jays to sign an experienced minor league backstop with five professional seasons under his belt. However, the partnership proved to be short-lived before another roster move brought the experiment to an abrupt end.

As a quarterback battle brews in Tuscaloosa, Nick Saban sees a parallel with one of the most uncertain preseasons of his coaching career with Alabama football.
During an appearance on SEC Network on Wednesday, July 22, the legendary coach reflected on the Crimson Tide's turbulent 2015 quarterback competition, when three different QBs saw action through Alabama's first three games before Jake ***** er ultimately led the program to a national championship.
Those days are gone, and the Kalen DeBoer era has arrived. The current offense isn't loaded with weapons like Derrick Henry or Calvin Ridley, but instead returns the least amount of production in the SEC.
"We just needed a quarterback to manage the game and not mess it up, and (to) be able to throw the ball down the field and complement the great running game we have," Saban said of the 2015 situation.
While the circumstances aren't identical, Saban believes Alabama once again has multiple quarterbacks capable of winning games on its roster.

With the high school sports season behind us, it's time to look back.
This is the fifth poll in a series the Journal Star is rolling out this summer, asking readers to select various superlatives across the 2025-26 season — including top teams, coaches, plus male and female athletes.
It's time to name the Peoria-area high school Boys Coach of the Year. Head to pjstar.com/sports to vote. The poll closes at noon Thursday. Information about the nominees is below.
If you have a nominee for next week's Girls Coach of the Year honor, email us at sportspjstar.com or tag us on X pjstarsports. Last week, Morton two-sport star Claire Ceresa was named the fans' choice for 2026 Journal Star Girls Athlete of the Year.
The ***** ans (12-1) made program history in 2025 under Benedict. EP-G played in its first-ever state semifinal as a consolidation, but also had its first undefeated regular season, winning the Heart of Illinois Conference-Large Division at 5-0. Despite losing to eventual state champion Wilmington in the November semifinals, El Paso-Gridley averaged 36.8 points a game, scoring 35 points or more eight times. But the ***** ans' defense was extra special in giving up 11 points a game, while pitching four shutouts and 10 times allowing 15 points or less. Sophomore Cha'von Maxon (wide receiver) and junior Owen Adams (linebacker) were Journal Star All-Area selections.

NASHVILLE - Tennessee ****** ans tight end Gunnar Helm has been named the franchise's 2026 breakout candidate by NFL ****** yst Ben Solak. The piece, featured on ESPN.com, predicted one such player for all 32 clubs.
Helm earned the nod over other candidates such as quarterback Cam Ward or veteran wide receiver Calvin Ridley. It speaks to what Helm could mean for an offense desperate for reliable pass-catching options beyond its wide receiver room.
Helm possesses "the tools of an NFL starter, the length, the size, speed, ball skills above the rim, away from his frame, and toughness through contact," according to Solak.
That was on display during the former fourth-round pick's rookie season. Helm was one of the few bright spots that Tennessee fans had to watch as the team finished with a regular season record of 3-14 for the second consecutive year. The tools Solak describes of Helm are critical for a player with Ward's skill-set.
The ****** ans quarterback's style drew comparisons to franchise legend Steve McNair and Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes throughout Ward's pre-draft process. Few tools have served those players better during their respective careers than the tight end position.

TORONTO, ON - APRIL 20: Bo Bichette #11 of the Toronto Blue Jays runs to the dugout prior to a game against the Seattle Mariners at Rogers Centre on April 20, 2025 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. (Photo by Vaughn Ridley/Getty Images)
Bo Bichette's return to Toronto was always expected to generate plenty of emotion. After seven memorable seasons with the Blue Jays, the two-time All-Star made his first trip back to Rogers Centre while wearing New York Mets colors following his blockbuster offseason departure.
Home fans welcomed him with standing ovations throughout the series, but they weren’t the only ones marking the occasion. One Toronto business that had become closely ******* ociated with the former Blue Jays shortstop found another creative way to celebrate his return.
“Toronto steak house Animl (pronounced Animal), the favourite local eatery of former Blue Jays player Bo Bichette, has launched the $126 Bo Dog for his return to Rogers Centre this week (June 29-July 1) as a member of the New York Mets, saying 100% of all sales will go to his charity,” Jane Stevenson reported for the Toronto Sun.

The Tennessee ****** ans totally revamped their wide receiver corps for franchise quarterback Cam Ward this offseason. Mike Borgonzi signed Wan’Dale Robinson to a four-year contract worth $70 million in free agency. The ****** ans then doubled down at the position by selecting Carnell Tate at No. 4 overall in the 2026 NFL Draft.
The ****** ans have more depth at the position than ever before. They decided to retain former 1,000 yard receiver Calvin Ridley as opposed to making him a salary cap casualty, which is the move everyone expected them to make. Sophomores Elic Ayomanor and Chimere Dike help round out a stellar room.
Tate and Robinson are the overwhelming favorites to be the ****** ans’ top two receivers. Robinson has essentially spent his entire NFL career playing for new ****** ans offensive coordinator Brian Daboll. That’s the biggest reason why Borgonzi signed him in free agency.
Robinson registered 90+ receptions in consecutive seasons with the New York Giants in 2024 and 2025. Even though Daboll was fired midway through 2025, it was still his offense. Robinson also surpassed 1,000 receiving yards for the first time in his career this past season.
Robinson projects as a high-volume weapon in Daboll’s offense. He’ll be a quarterback-friendly target for Ward. That makes Robinson a strong candidate to lead the ****** ans in receptions, but Tate’s big-play ability could make him the offense’s receiving yards leader.

Jason Momoa brought romance and family pride to London's Supergirl UK event on Thursday, June 18 2026. The actor, who plays DC antihero Lobo in the upcoming blockbuster, shared a sweet kiss with girlfriend Adria Arjona on the blue carpet before posing with his children, Nakoa-Wolf, 17, and Lola, 18. They joined leading lady Milly Alcock, who stars as Kara Zor-El, alongside co-star Eve Ridley and a stylish line-up of celebrity guests. From Jason's all-black tailoring to Milly's modern white gown, the event was a glamorous celebration of the highly anticipated new DC adventure.
Jason and Adria put on a loved-up display as they shared a kiss on the blue carpet. Jason looked typically rock-star cool in dark tailoring and sunglasses, while Adria turned heads in a scarlet gown with a plunging neckline and lace-up bodice.
Jason made the evening a family affair, posing proudly with son Nakoa-Wolf and daughter Lola. Nakoa-Wolf wore an open black waistcoat, wide-leg trousers and statement jewellery while Lola chose a fitted strapless black midi dress, pairing the sleek look with strappy heels, a bright red clutch and eye-catching orange headphones around her neck.
Eve brought a joyful burst of colour to the blue carpet in a bright red sleeveless top, tucked neatly into a powder-blue satin maxi skirt. The softly gathered silhouette added a touch of old-Hollywood glamour, while white pointed heels sharpened the look. With her long dark hair worn loose and a natural beauty look, the actress struck the perfect balance between polished and playful.
Leading lady Milly was glowing in a textured white gown with a square neckline, soft ruffled sleeves and an artfully draped skirt. The design featured a thigh-high split and a sweeping train that trailed behind her on the blue carpet, while black pointed heels gave the romantic look a slightly edgier finish. The actress kept accessories minimal, allowing the striking silhouette to do all the talking.
