The Toronto Blue Jays have spent much of the season shuffling organizational depth as injuries and roster movement have created opportunities throughout the minor leagues. Catching depth, in particular, became a focus after an unexpected injury forced the organization to look outside the system.
That search led the Blue Jays to sign an experienced minor league backstop with five professional seasons under his belt. However, the partnership proved to be short-lived before another roster move brought the experiment to an abrupt end.
