Oklo (OKLO) stock was under immense pressure on Sept. 11 after the advanced nuclear-tech company disclosed plans to raise another $1 billion in fresh capital. In an 8-K filing, OKLO confirmed that it has entered into an equity distribution agreement with a syndicate of 10 major financial institutions to issue and sell up to $1 billion of its common stock.
Following today's decline, Oklo shares are trading at less than half their price at the start of 2026.

Oklo (NYSE: OKLO), a developer of microreactors for nuclear power plants, has been a divisive stock since its market debut. After going public through a merger with a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) on May 10, 2024, Oklo started trading at $15.50 per share.
It soared to a record high of $174.14 on Oct. 14, 2025, but it now trades at about $43. Wall Street's average price target for the stock is about $75. Let's see why Oklo's stock went through so many wild swings -- and where I think it will actually end up by the end of 2026.

Oklo's Aurora microreactor, which is much smaller than conventional nuclear reactors, only generates 1.5 MWe per unit. However, its modular design allows it to be deployed alongside additional reactors to generate up to 75 MWe per "Powerhouse" power plant. That's tiny compared to a conventional nuclear power plant, which typically generates at least 1,000 MWe, but Aurora's Powerhouse plants can be deployed on less land in remote, off-grid areas.
The Aurora also uses metallic uranium fuel pellets, which are denser, have higher thermal resistance, and are cheaper to produce than the uranium dioxide fuel pellets that power conventional reactors. By recycling its pellets in a closed loop, the Aurora can last for a decade without refueling. Conventional reactors are still refueled in stages every two years.

Oklo (OKLO) and X-Energy (XE) each fell 5% as markets sold the nuclear group on X-Energy's Sell rating, ignoring Oklo's concurrent Buy initiation.
URA dropped 3% while SPY fell just 0.4%, confirming Thursday's pressure was a sector-specific nuclear selloff, not a broad market event.

When investors want to play the AI power boom, the first names that come to mind are hot stocks in emerging energy technologies, such as advanced fuel cell maker Bloom Energy (NYSE:BE) and small modular reactor developer Oklo (NYSE:OKLO). Bloom has major AI partnerships with Oracle and Brookfield, while Oklo has deals with Meta Platforms and Switch.
One company almost no one is talking about is the high-yielding clean-power producer Clearway Energy (NYSE:CWEN). That's a mistake. Its parent (Clearway Energy Group) quietly signed a nearly 1.2-gigawatt (GW) deal to build renewable power for Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOG)(NASDAQ:GOOGL), and it's getting paid much more for the power produced at some of its legacy ***** ets because the new power buyer is a hyperscaler with voracious energy needs.

ATLANTA (AP) — Idan Toklomati and Liel Abada each scored a goal, Kristijan Kahlina had three saves, and Charlotte FC beat Atlanta United 2-0 on Saturday night.
Allan Saint-Maximin, a designated player and former French youth international who signed with Charlotte on July 13, finished with two ****** ists.
Charlotte (10-7-5) is unbeaten in four straight and has just one loss in its last nine games.
Saint-Maximin, on the counter-attack, darted past a defender and bounced a cross from the left side to the back post, where Pep Biel played a first-touch pass back to Toklomati for a sliding finish from point-blank range to open the scoring in the 22nd minute. The momentum behind artificial intelligence (AI)-linked nuclear energy stocks hit a brick wall in July, sending high-flying names like Oklo (NYSE: OKLO) into a nose-dive.
Shares of the nuclear energy start-up tumbled 25.8% last month, according to data provided by S&P Global Market Intelligence. By the end of July, the drop had wiped about 80% of the stock's value from its October 2025 peak of $193.84.

Oklo Inc. (NYSE:OKLO) just proved it can build a nuclear reactor as fast as it promised. On August 6, the company announced its Groves Isotope Test Reactor in Lockhart, Texas, achieved first criticality, a controlled, self-sustaining nuclear chain reaction, less than a year after groundbreaking. It's the first project under the US Department of Energy's Reactor Pilot Program to reach criticality on private land from a greenfield site, and Oklo says it may be the fastest privately funded, privately sited reactor build in history.
CEO Jacob DeWitte called it "an incredible milestone for our team," noting Oklo built Groves from raw land, handled the civil excavation and construction itself, and manufactured or procured every component, including fuel, in-house. On the company's August 7 earnings call, management put the timeline at under 11 months from greenfield to criticality. Groves is meant to anchor Oklo's isotope business, supplying materials for healthcare, industry, research, ******* e, and national security, with revenue expected to begin in the first half of 2027 out of a commercial Idaho radiochemistry lab.
Management says the engineering practices, training programs, and commissioning experience from Groves should reduce execution risk across the company's future isotope, powerhouse, and fuel cycle projects. The balance sheet backs that ambition, with $3 billion in cash and marketable securities on hand after Oklo raised $1.9 billion in 2026 through its at-the-market programs. The broader pipeline kept moving too, with Aurora-INL site excavation nearly complete and a Kiewit memorandum of understanding advancing the 1.2-gigawatt Ohio Power Campus that will supply Meta. Shares jumped more than 10% on August 7, the day after the update, coinciding with the earnings report.
The milestone came alongside a bigger bill. Oklo reported a net loss of $81.6 million for the quarter, with an operating loss of $124.2 million, and the company still has no forward price-to-earnings ratio because it isn't yet profitable. Management raised its 2026 operating cash flow guidance to $120 million to $150 million, up from $80 million to $100 million, and lifted capital expenditure guidance to $400 million to $500 million from $350 million to $450 million, both tied to accelerated procurement for Aurora-INL and opportunistic fuel purchases. Groves itself is also a test reactor for isotopes, not Oklo's commercial power business. The Aurora-INL project that would validate the company's powerhouse platform isn't targeted to start up until 2028, and the first phase of the Aurora-Ohio powerhouse meant to supply Meta's data centers isn't expected until early 2030.

As energy demand from artificial intelligence surges, investors are weighing the merits of fuel cells versus next-generation nuclear. Choosing between Bloom Energy (NYSE:BE) and Oklo (NYSE:OKLO) requires balancing established revenue against futuristic potential.
Bloom Energy provides solid-oxide fuel cell technology for reliable on-site power, catering to data centers and industrial clients. Oklo is a pre-revenue developer of small modular reactors aiming to revolutionize carbon-free energy. Both companies target the massive power needs of the modern economy, yet they sit at very different stages of commercial maturity.
Bloom Energy sells solid-oxide energy servers providing onsite electricity and hydrogen to customers like SK ecoplant and American Electric Power (NASDAQ:AEP). Customer concentration like this adds a layer of risk to the business since revenue depends heavily on major partnerships. Recently, the company secured a $1.7 billion project with Nebius (NASDAQ:NBIS) and a financing framework with Brookfield ***** et Management (NYSE:BAM).
In FY 2025, revenue reached nearly $2.0 billion, representing growth of approximately 37.3%. This expansion was driven by increasing demand for onsite generation in the electric utility stocks ***** e. Despite the top-line growth, the company reported a net loss of roughly $88.4 million, representing a net margin of negative 4.4%.
As of its December 2025 balance sheet, the debt-to-equity ratio was approximately 3.9x. This ratio measures total debt relative to shareholder equity, suggesting the company uses a significant amount of borrowed money. The current ratio is a healthy 6.0x, while free cash flow, or cash left after capital expenditures, reached roughly $57.2 million.

The Mets and White Sox reportedly discussed a trade that would send Freddy Peralta to the South Side of Chicago. Michael Marino reports that White Sox prospects George Wolkow and Boston Smith were among the players discussed in the return. Marino also stated that the talks have stalled a bit, and the Mets are in discussions with other clubs as well.
Peralta, who came to the Mets in the offseason along with Tobias Myers from the Brewers in exchange for Brandon Sproat and Jett Williams, is in his age 30 season and has been a major disappointment for the Mets in his 22 starts with the club. He's set to start tonight in what is essentially a showcase, hoping to goose his trade value a bit in what is his likely final last Mets start.
Peralta is the owner of a 4.99 ERA and a 83 ERA+ over 113.2 innings. He's at the highest walk rate and lowest strikout rate since he's been a starter full time, but also has the highest BABIP against of his career, so luck may be a piece of his poor performance.
The two prospects mentioned in the report are both consensus top 2o prospects for the White Sox, with Woklov as the 15th best in their system by our sister site South Side Sox in their pre-season rankings. Smith didn't join the organization until a trade with the Nationals in late March, so he isn't ranked by South Side Sox, but the catching prospect was listed as their Minor League Player of the Month for July.

Nuclear power has shifted from a sleepy utility niche to the most strategically important corner of the energy market. AI-driven electricity demand, hyperscaler power-purchase agreements and an executive-level push to quadruple U.S. nuclear capacity to 400 GWe by 2050 have rewritten the sector's growth math. The EIA now models commercial data-center server electricity use growing more than 16 times above 2020 levels by 2050 in its High Electricity Demand case, with baseload sources doing the heavy lifting.

The two approvals pave the way for the Groves Isotope Test Reactor to move from the documentation phase and into the final pre-startup review.
Success in the startup review phase will pave the way for Oklo to receive and load nuclear fuel to conduct startup testing at the facility. The company is already targeting first criticality for Groves in July.
The Groves facility strengthens Oklo's isotope business, which seeks to enable a strong domestic supply chain for critical isotopes. It also positions the company to be a key supplier of isotopes for scientific research, ******* e exploration, and national security applications.

NuScale Power (NYSE:SMR), developer of small modular nuclear reactors, closed Friday at $10.50, down 12.50%. The stock moved lower during the regular session as traders continued to reassess its investment narrative while monitoring evolving SMR policy support and new use cases.
Trading volume reached 45.2 million shares, about 45% above its three-month average of 31.2 million shares. NuScale Power IPO'd in 2022 and has grown 4% since going public.
The S&P 500 (SNPINDEX:^GSPC) fell 2.63% to 7,385, while the Nasdaq Composite (NASDAQINDEX:^IXIC) lost 4.18% to finish at 25,709. Within specialty industrial machinery, industry peers Oklo (NYSE:OKLO) closed at $58.09, down 11.16%, and Nano Nuclear Energy (NASDAQ:NNE) ended at $23.56, off 9.94%, reflecting broad weakness across SMR developers.
It shouldn’t be a surprise that speculative energy names like NuScale Power underperform the market on a risk-off day. With the Nasdaq having its worst day since April 2025, NuScale shareholders should take today’s move in stride.
Today’s plunge comes as investors focus more on technology names and ponder whether a bubble created from AI spending could be on the verge of deflating. NuScale could tap into the AI data center market to thrive, but that is still years away. A sector shift would change the stock's narrative.
Federal and municipal support will be critical for NuScale Power either way. Recent tailwinds include reports that the New York Power Authority (NYPA) is pursuing large and small modular reactors for future power generation.
