German robotics startup Neura Robotics has announced its fifth acquisition in 16 months as it races to build a physical AI platform through acquisitions.
The company announced on Monday that it will take full ownership of Adlatus, a German maker of autonomous cleaning and sweeping robots for industry, logistics, healthcare and public ****** es.
Neura plans to add its own sensor and AI capabilities to Adlatus's fleet, which it will then fold into its shared physical AI infrastructure, the Neuraverse.
"We're not buying Adlatus just to add another cleaning robot to our portfolio," Neura CEO and founder David Reger said. "We want to give machines like this a new brain. Cleaning is a massive global labour market and, at the same time, a perfect example of what physical AI can transform. When a robot doesn't just navigate its environment but understands what it sees, senses, and needs to do, an entirely new generation of machines emerges."

Lando Norris drove his McLaren to victory in the final running of the Dutch Grand Prix in Zandvoort.
Having started from pole position, the defending champion lost ground to Mercedes' Kimi Antonelli at the restart after the race was red-flagged due to home hero Max Verstappen's heavy crash.
The Briton managed to retake the lead midway through the race, eventually taking the checkered flag 11.536 seconds ahead of Antonelli for his second straight victory of the season.
George Russell, fresh off a sprint victory just a day before, rounded out the podium in third in the other Mercedes.

Formula 1 is back in action after its annual three-week summer break, with the Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort kicking off the second half of the 2026 season.
Right before the pause, defending champion Lando Norris celebrated his first win of the year in Hungary, crossing the line in his McLaren 15.080 seconds ahead of Max Verstappen of Red Bull.
Andrea Kimi Antonelli rounded out the podium in third place for Mercedes and further strengthened his grip on the championship lead.
He now holds a 50-point advantage over second-place Lewis Hamilton heading to Zandvoort and is 59 points clear of teammate George Russell in third.

One La Liga insider is claiming that Julian Alvarez has a secret clause in his Atletico Madrid contract that can allow FC Barcelona to sign him for €130 million.
Alvarez has tried to amicably part ways with Atletico Madrid and fulfil his dream of joining Barcelona. However, the Rojiblancos have been adamant that they wouldn't let him join a rival team.

VC funding for European biotech startups is on track for a record year, though the gap with the US remains stark.
According to PitchBook data, €800 million (about $912 million) has been invested in the ****** e this year, more than three-quarters of the total for 2025. At the current pace, deal value would surpass 2018's record of €1.2 billion.
The number of VC rounds involving European biotech startups is expected to increase modestly from last year, unlike in many other sectors. However, the median deal size remains below 2024's high of €3.5 million.
Swiss radiopharmaceutical startup Nuclidium's 105 million Swiss francs (about $130 million) Series B was the largest round to close this year. It is followed by a $115 million Series A for London-based RQ Bio, which develops therapeutics to prevent influenza in immunocompromised people.

After a controversial two-year tenure in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the WTA Finals are headed to Indian Wells, Calif. later this year.
The WTA announced the move Thursday on social media.
The event has been held in several locations in the past, including Singapore (2014-18), China (2019) and Mexico (2021).
The WTA said its partnership with the Saudi Tennis Federation (STF) had accomplished several goals.
