Sustainable Growth Advisers (SGA), an investment management company, released its second-quarter 2026 investor letter for its "Global Growth Strategy." The letter can be downloaded here. The SGA Global Growth Portfolio returned 7.4% gross and 7.2% net, compared with 14.9% for the MSCI ACWI and 19.8% for the MSCI ACWI Growth Index. Momentum leadership and enthusiasm around AI infrastructure drove markets, with semiconductor, memory, and hardware stocks accounting for much of the gain. Although the portfolio owned AI beneficiaries, broader holdings lagged despite fundamentals, as median revenue and EPS growth reached 12% and 14% and more than 60% of the holdings beat expectations. SGA believes valuation compression reflects sentiment rather than weaker business quality, leaving the portfolio near its widest discount to the market since inception. The firm continues to favor durable compounders and expects 16% revenue growth and 20% earnings growth over three years. Also, please check the Fund's top five holdings to see its best picks for 2026.

"A position in Equinix, a leading global data center provider, was initiated during the quarter. The company sells **** e, power, and connectivity services across a global footprint, binding strategic clients to its facilities through interconnection and coplacement for low-latency and high-bandwidth services. Equinix is a familiar name for SGA, having been a portfolio holding for ten years before being sold in 2024 as the growth rate had slowed and management was in the midst of a leadership transition. Both dynamics have since reversed, with growth re-accelerating as AI inferencing ramps and power demand remains high, and with new leaders now announced and in place." Equinix (NASDAQ: EQIX) said Wednesday that Chief Business Officer Jon Lin will separate from the data center operator effective July 18. The company made the filing on Tuesday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The filing lists July 8 as the earliest reported event date. Equinix will distribute Lin's responsibilities among its senior leadership team under a transition plan.
The company anticipates revealing a new chief product officer soon but did not identify the incoming executive. The filing did not name a replacement for Lin as chief business officer.
Lin joined Equinix in 2009 as director of innovation. Equinix promoted him to executive vice president and general manager of data center services in January 2022 after he served as president of the Americas.
Equinix previously credited Lin with helping develop Equinix Cloud Exchange, later renamed Equinix Fabric. He also helped lead the $3.6 billion acquisition of 29 Verizon data centers in 2017.

The AI buildout has turned the old-school data center real estate investment trusts (REITs) from a niche real estate subsector into one of the clearest ways to own the physical infrastructure behind the artificial intelligence boom, and the numbers are starting to back that up. One of the biggest companies in the arena, Equinix (NASDAQ:EQIX), posted $2.444 billion in first-quarter 2026 revenue, up 10% year over year, and a record $378 million in first-quarter bookings, while another, Digital Realty Trust (NYSE:DLR), logged 16% year-over-year sales growth and has a $1.8 billion backlog. Vacancy in primary U.S. markets remains near record lows. Hyperscalers are locking in 15-year leases years before facilities even break ground, and grid interconnection queues stretching out to 2030 mean the supply squeeze isn't going away anytime soon.

Meridian Funds, managed by ArrowMark Partners, released its first-quarter 2026 investor letter for "Meridian Hedged Equity Fund". A copy of the letter can be downloaded here. The Fund invests in high-quality growth companies and mitigates risk by writing call options. Following the late-February strike on Iran, oil prices surged, leading to a risk-off sentiment, boosting energy sector performance. Large-cap technology stocks declined as investors rotated towards smaller companies and more defensive value investments. Market conditions are becoming challenging due to reduced expectations for a Federal Reserve rate cut and increasing geopolitical uncertainty. The Fund returned 0.08% (net) for the quarter, outperforming the S&P 500 Index, which fell 4.33%, and the CBOE S&P 500 BuyWrite Index, which declined 0.92%. At the end of the period, 43% of the portfolio was unhedged, while the remainder was invested in companies with covered call options. In addition, please check the Fund's top five holdings to know its best picks in 2026.
In its first-quarter 2026 investor letter, Meridian Hedged Equity Fund highlighted Equinix, Inc. (NASDAQ:EQIX) as a leading contributor. Equinix, Inc. (NASDAQ:EQIX) is a leading digital infrastructure company that operates a global network of data centers and interconnected ecosystems, enabling seamless delivery of digital experiences and cutting-edge AI quickly and efficiently. On June 26, 2026, Equinix, Inc. (NASDAQ:EQIX) closed at $1,091.30 per share, reflecting a market capitalization of $107.63 billion. Equinix, Inc. (NASDAQ:EQIX) posted a one-month return of 3.86%, and its shares gained 37.19% over the past 52 weeks.
Meridian Hedged Equity Fund stated the following regarding Equinix, Inc. (NASDAQ:EQIX) in its Q1 2026 investor letter:
"Equinix, Inc. (NASDAQ:EQIX) is a leading global provider of digital infrastructure, offering premium co-location and interconnection services across a global footprint of 280 data centers in 77 markets. Our investment thesis centers on its unmatched interconnection moat—more than 500,000 connections that create a powerful network effect for enterprise, cloud and network customers. The company is well positioned to capitalize on secular demand for artificial intelligence, hybrid multi-cloud architectures and vendor neutral digital infrastructure. The stock outperformed during the period after the company reported record bookings, accelerating recurring revenue growth, and AI-related workloads approaching 60% of recent large-scale deals. While the long-term growth outlook remains compelling, the elevated capital expenditures required to meet surging demand warrant continued monitoring. We maintained our position throughout the quarter."

The Columbia Research Enhanced Real Estate ETF (NYSEARCA:CRED) pays a 3.64% distribution funded by the dividends of its underlying REITs, and that yield is the entire reason most income investors are looking at it. CRED is a small, rules-based fund that has paid quarterly since its April 28, 2023 inception, and the question worth answering is whether the income stream behind that 3.6% number is actually durable.
