Barcelona is working on signing a center forward, and the problems keep piling up.
That's what 'SPORT' reported this Thursday: Barcelona are waiting for Julián Álvarez and need one more gesture to move forward with his arrival.
Eli Junior Kroupi's injury has wrecked the Blaugrana's plans because the Bournemouth striker was the 'Plan B'.
The forward has fractured the fifth metatarsal in his foot and will be sidelined for four months.
Now it remains to be seen what Barcelona's plan will be to solve this situation, with Lewandowski out of the club and Ferrán Torres having a chance of moving to PSG.

Paris Saint-Germain are not expected to attempt to sign AFC Bournemouth's Éli Junior Kroupi (20) this summer, according to reports from RMC Sport.
Whilst seeking an attacking reinforcement to compensate for the departures of Gonçalo Ramos (24), Lee Kang-in (25) and Randal Kolo Muani (27), the Rouge et Bleu management have not, for the time being, opened the door to the young striker's arrival in the capital, although he is reportedly interested in the project and has supporters within the club.
However, given the Cherries' determination to keep him and the potential cost of prising him away, the Kroupi deal is not currently a priority. A sum in excess of €100m is said to be the minimum required for any club wishing to secure his services.
Meanwhile, Barcelona's Ferran Torres (26) and Atalanta's Charles de Ketelaere (25) – whose names have already been linked with the two-time European champions – are on Paris's shortlist. So too is a third player, whose identity has not yet been revealed.

Roberto De Zerbi says Spurs are targeting attacking signings in the transfer window.
Tottenham have strengthened in defence and midfield so far this summer, but the Spurs boss says he wants to boost his forward line too.
Manchester City winger Savinho is believed to be among the club's list of targets, as is Bournemouth's Junior Kroupi.
"The target now is to complete the attacking positions," De Zerbi said. "We want the first target, the first level, because we have already important players. But I think to start a new project we need another couple of important players for sure."

Barcelona’s search for a new striker has hit another obstacle, with Bournemouth making it clear they have no intention of selling Eli Junior Kroupi this summer.
The French forward has emerged as one of the players admired by Barcelona‘s sporting department as the club continues to prepare alternative plans in case a move for priority target Julian Alvarez proves impossible.
However, according to MARCA, Bournemouth have no interest in negotiating Kroupi’s departure.
The decision is not driven by finances but by the club’s sporting project, with the 20-year-old considered a cornerstone of their future.
Barcelona’s interest in Kroupi is largely termed as a contingency rather than a priority target.

Barcelona have been looking for a replacement for Robert Lewandowski all summer, and Julian Alvarez has been their number one priority.
The Argentine striker, however, has seen his move to Catalonia complicated significantly by his current club Atletico Madrid who continue to resist negotiating with Barcelona.
Alvarez has been pushing to join only Barcelona, but the Blaugrana are also aware that they cannot wait for the Argentine star forever. On that front, they have identified Bournemouth's Eli Junior Kroupi as their plan B.
As reported by Diario AS in a recent report, however, Barcelona's idea of keeping Kroupi as a backup option may not work out much longer as the player is firmly in the orbit of several other top clubs as a priority signing.

Tottenham Hotspur have fresh encouragement in the race for Eli Junior Kroupi, with Paris Saint-Germain now advancing on Ferran Torres after accepting their pursuit of the Bournemouth forward is fading. According to TeamTalk, the change in direction in Paris has opened a serious window for Spurs to press on with one of their priority attacking plans.
PSG had seen Kroupi as their standout option while seeking a replacement for Goncalo Ramos, who is edging towards AC Milan. Yet the French champions have now been told the young attacker is unwilling to join if it means taking a secondary role behind "the likes of Ousmane Dembele and the club's established attacking stars". That detail matters, because it speaks directly to what has been driving this situation from the start, regular football and a clear pathway.
With that in mind, PSG have moved quickly. TeamTalk reports that Ferran Torres has "now emerged as PSG's preferred alternative", with the Spain international making strong progress towards a switch from Barcelona. The report adds that Torres has "now agreed personal terms with PSG" and that talks between the clubs are moving forward. For Tottenham, that development could prove pivotal.

There has already been a strong indication that Tottenham's interest in Kroupi is more than exploratory. The 20-year-old has been identified as one of the club's leading attacking targets, with the current regime continuing a major squad build. What stands out in this latest update is the suggestion that Kroupi finds the prospect of joining Tottenham "hugely appealing". In a market where elite young forwards can often wait on bigger names, that wording feels significant.

Manchester United risk missing out on another target to Tottenham Hotspur as the North London club prepares a big-money bid for Eli Junior Kroupi, according to the latest report.
Having come perilously close to relegation last season, only securing survival on the final day with a 1-0 win over Everton, Tottenham are intent on transforming Roberto De Zerbi's squad this summer.
The Italian manager wants to rebuild the spine of his side, believing the team's frailties originate in the middle of the pitch. A £52 million deal for centre-back Jan Paul van Hecke has been struck, as have free transfers for Marcos Senesi and Andy Robertson.
This was followed up by two record-breaking offers for Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes, with Spurs hijacking Manchester United's move for the latter.
The West Ham midfielder, who attributes his namesake, Bruno Fernandes, as an idol, was believed to be leaning towards Old Trafford, only for the Lilywhites to storm into the race with an £85 million bid and a much better wage packet than the one being offered in M16.

Speculation surrounding Eli Junior Kroupi and Barcelona has gathered pace in recent days, but the young striker’s representative has now addressed the rumours directly.
The Barcelona news comes after reports suggested the highly-rated forward had emerged as one of the club’s attacking options as they continue to ****** s the market for a new centre-forward.
With Julian Alvarez still considered Barcelona’s preferred target but a difficult deal to complete, several reports linked the Catalan club with alternative names for both the present and the future.
Among them was Kroupi, whose impressive rise at Bournemouth has attracted attention from several European clubs.
However, Moussa Sissoko, the player’s agent, has now provided a clearer picture of the situation, insisting there are currently no negotiations between the player and the Blaugrana.

Tottenham Hotspur will not be signing defensive midfielder Joao Palhinha on a permanent deal from Bayern Munich. The 30-year-old spent the 2025–26 season on loan at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, establishing himself as a key leader. Palhinha finished the campaign as Tottenham’s second-highest scorer with seven goals in 45 appearances across all competitions, most notably netting the winner in a 1–0 victory over Everton on the final day to secure a miraculous 17th-place finish and preserve Spurs’ top-flight status.
Despite De Zerbi publicly praising Palhinha’s character and expressing a desire to keep him, financial realities and a major squad overhaul have forced a change of heart. While Palhinha was keen to remain in the Premier League, Tottenham have opted against a move for the Portuguese international after recently completing an astronomical £185 million double to land alternative midfield targets.
Spurs announced the arrival of 21-year-old Mateus Fernandes for £85 million earlier today and are expected to finalise a £100 million deal for Sandro Tonali as well. With these arrivals pushing summer spending past the £200 million mark, committing further funds to an ageing midfielder is no longer considered sustainable. Tottenham have instead turned their attention to attacking targets, with French starlet Eli Junior Kroupi now the priority.
For Palhinha, the future remains highly uncertain. A return to Vincent Kompany’s Bayern Munich is off the table, as the German giants have deemed him surplus to requirements. While a return to his former club Sporting Lisbon remains possible, the Portuguese side are heavily constrained by Bayern’s steep valuation and the player’s significant salary demands.

It is another indication that Chelsea continue to focus on acquiring elite young talent capable of developing into long term first team contributors, a strategy that has shaped much of the club’s recruitment in recent seasons.
Reports suggest Chelsea have already opened lines of communication over a possible move for Kroupi, who has also attracted attention from ***** nal.
After producing an impressive campaign that yielded 13 league goals, the 20 year old has firmly established himself as one of the brightest attacking prospects in Europe. His performances have reportedly earned him the description of a “generational” talent, reflecting the growing excitement surrounding his potential.

Fabrizio Romano says a transfer will happen. This could be massive for Liverpool.
Liverpool's summer business continues as they look to rebuild their squad after a disappointing campaign. Of course, Andoni Iraola's arrival changes things - they're now looking at a slightly different shape and style.
One quick way to make that happen is the same old trick whenever a new head coach arrives: you look at his former players. Liverpool will almost certainly do just that as they weigh up moves for Bournemouth stars.
One particularly interesting one is Junior Kroupi. There are few teenage attackers over the top five leagues who had a more impressive campaign than Kroupi.
The forward, who turned 20 this week, scored 13 Premier League goals in his debut season. It sets him up not just as one to watch but one who could legitimately be a major target for Liverpool.

Junior Kroupi is back on the agenda at Barcelona amid doubts over the club’s ability to get a deal for Julian Alvarez over the line.
Alvarez remains the club’s No. 1 target but Barca are under no illusions about how difficult it will be to prise the Argentina from Atletico this summer.
An update from Diario Sport states that Barcelona currently see Kroupi as the “most viable” alternative to Alvarez if they do miss out on the Argentina international.
However, the Catalans also think it will be a “risky” move as Kroupi is still only 19 and lacks top level experience. Ideally, they’d rather wait to try and bring him in but that might not be possible as a new striker is a must this summer.
There’s also the fact that Bournemouth are asking for 100 million euros for Kroupi. The report suggests Kroupi’s valuation is more like 70m and that Barca could possibly include a player in any potential deal.

That alone would explain why he has become a player of interest at the Emirates.
Sami Mokbel of the BBC and Fabrizio Romano have both confirmed that ***** nal hold an interest in the forward and have made calls to enquire about his situation.

Arsenal are one of the clubs interested in signing Eli Junior Kroupi from Bournemouth, just a season after he joined the Cherries and impressed with his performances.
The 19-year-old striker emerged as the top-scoring teenager in the Premier League during his breakout campaign, and Bournemouth may now be forced to consider an earlier sale than initially anticipated.
Arsenal have been monitoring him closely and are said to be impressed with his displays, including a number of crucial goals he scored throughout the season. His development has placed him firmly on the radar of several top European clubs.
The Cherries would ideally prefer to retain his services, but the growing attention around the forward could make that difficult. Over the coming weeks, they may need to evaluate potential offers for his signature if interest continues to increase.
Paris Saint-Germain and several other elite clubs have also been linked with a move for the young striker. Their interest was previously viewed as a significant concern for ***** nal, given the French club’s strong financial power and ability to attract top talent.

Having set the Premier League alight in his debut season in England, Eli Junior Kroupi (19) is being heavily linked with a departure from AFC Bournemouth this summer.
The Frenchman netted 13 league goals, a record for a teenager in their debut season in the Premier League. His performances have caught the eyes of some elite sides. PL champions ******* nal, who also reached the final of the UEFA Champions League, are a potential destination for the France youth international, valued at €100m, as per The Guardian.
Paris Saint-Germain, who retained their European crown thanks to their win over ******* nal last weekend, have also been cited as a suitor. Foot Mercato even reported earlier this week that the Parc des Princes was Kroupi’s favoured destination.
However, Get French Football News understands that Kroupi is not a target for PSG. The club are, nonetheless, looking to add to their attack this summer. AS Monaco’s Maghnes Akliouche and Yan Diomandé have been touted as options.
