Elon Musk's first wife, Justine, says the tech ******* an had a tumultuous relationship with his daughter Vivian, who is transgender.
In Alex Gibney's new documentary, Musk, she recalled what it was like to be married to the world's first trillionaire, who is also the father of her six kids, twins Vivian and Griffin, triplets Saxon, Kai and Damian, and their late son, Nevada. Justine noted that Musk cut off Vivian's health insurance when she came out as trans and said he "never tried to repair things" with her. "It's not in his nature," she said, per People.

NaLyssa Smith has been ruled out for the remainder of the 2026 season, the Las Vegas Aces announced Thursday. Smith, one of the Aces' starters and a key part of last year's championship team, suffered a non-contact left leg injury against the Toronto Tempo on Sunday and left the game immediately.
Smith was the fourth-leading scorer on the Aces' active roster with 11.7 points per game and was the second-leading rebounder with 6.4 per contest. She was also leading the WNBA in field-goal percentage (63.8 percent). By most advanced metrics, she was the most valuable player on Las Vegas outside the big three of A'ja Wilson, Jackie Young and Chelsea Gray.
"Lyss is a soldier," Wilson said postgame Sunday. "God has his hands on her, and we're going to continue to be beside her through this whole process."
The Aces acquired Smith on June 30 last season. She joined the starting lineup one game later, and the team went 21-5 the rest of the way before winning a third **** le in five seasons.
The team now has a gaping hole at the power forward slot. Head coach Becky Hammon often closes with a small lineup, with either Gray or Jewell Loyd playing the 4 on defense. However, for the rest of the game, Brianna Turner and Cheyenne Parker-Tyus are closer to centers; Turner has offensive limitations while Hammon doesn't appear to trust Parker-Tyus' defense. Rookie Justine **** ott seems unlikely to gain a larger role in the rotation, as she has played only 81 minutes in 2026 thus far.

Keith Foulke, a hero to Boston Red Sox Nation for getting the final out in the 2004 World Series to break the 86-year-old Curse of the Bambino, was looking forward to his role as manager of the Boston Hunters in the inaugural season of the Women's Pro Baseball League, which is playing exclusively in Springfield at Robin Roberts Stadium.
His tenure lasted all of three games.
In an interview with The State Journal-Register on Tuesday, Aug. 11, Foulke did his best to keep his words polite and professional regarding his ouster. But it's clear he believes the league gave him a raw deal.
"It's just disappointing," Foulke said. "At the end of the day, I walk with my head held high. I didn't do anything wrong. I didn't say anything derogatory, I didn't say anything mean to my players, ever. I was always really positive. I think the ownership just kind of had a change of mind on the schedule that we'd agreed upon. I was the manager, but I wasn't going to be able to be there full time, and ultimately, they didn't think that was a good plan."
Before Saturday's game with the New York Heights, Foulke was informed by league ownership — led by Keith Stein, along with commissioner Justine Siegal — they were relieving him of his duties.

A couple weeks after losing draft pick and development player Justine ******* ott to the Las Vegas Aces, the Indiana Fever filled their second development spot.
The Fever announced Friday that they have signed Ugonne "Michelle" Onyiah to their development roster, joining Bree Hall on the Fever's development squad.
Onyiah, a 6-3 forward, played at the University of California-Berkeley from 2020-25. She was a key rotational player for all five of her years at Cal, and shot a conference-leading 60.3% from the field as a full-time starter in her final season in 2024-25. She was not picked in the 2025 WNBA Draft, then spent a year overseas playing in Belgium with Basket Namur Capitale, averaging 11.1 points and 8.4 rebounds per game.
She got her first shot in the WNBA in New York this year, signing a rookie-scale contract with the Liberty ahead of 2026 training camp, but she was not able to make either of the Liberty's preseason games because of overseas commitments and was ultimately waived ahead of the regular season on May 7.
Onyiah then signed with the Upshot League, a new women's basketball league that started in 2026. She played on the Charlotte Crown, averaging 9.6 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game.

When Ayami Sato takes the mound as the starting pitcher for the Los Angeles Queens on Saturday, it will be the culmination of a professional career that has spanned 16 years and three countries. The right-handed hurler is largely considered the best pitcher in the history of women's baseball. She has the awards and experience to prove it, and now she's taking on America when she makes her debut in the Women's Professional Baseball League, the first pro women's baseball league in the United States since the 1950s.
Even though most Americans tuning into the WPBL may not have heard of her, Sato's resume speaks for itself. Sato's fastball has been clocked at nearly 80mph and her curveball has a devastating spin rate that is higher than many Major League Baseball pitchers. As a member of the ****** an National Team since 2010, Sato has won six gold medals. She is the only player in Women's Baseball World Cup history to win three consecutive MVP awards. As a member of the now-defunct ****** an's Women's Baseball League, Sato led the league in strikeouts in three of the last four seasons. And most recently, in 2024 she became the first woman to play pro baseball in Canada as a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs of the Intercounty Baseball League.
Now, she is bringing her talent to the US and the WPBL. "This is a brand new league for all of us," Sato tells the Guardian through a translator. "So I also want to approach it with the mindset of a rookie –staying curious, paying attention to everything around me, and embracing this new challenge with an open mind."
The league will play all its games in a centralized location for its first season, at Robin Roberts Stadium in Springfield, Illinois. There are four teams – the Queens, the New York Heights, the San Francisco Firebells and the Boston Hunters. And the best players from all over the world will take the field together for the first time as one league, including at least nine players from the US women's national baseball team. On the Queens, Sato will play alongside USA star third baseman Ashton Lansdell and Little League World Series star Mo'ne Davis.
WPBL co-founder and commissioner Justine Seigel says it was always the plan to recruit internationally for the league. "We want many of the best players, and to have many of the best players, you have to go out into the world and find the best shortstop in Venezuela, and who's pitching in ****** an," Seigel says. "It's also fun because baseball is baseball, but it's also got its own little nuances country-to-country, and it's kind of fun to see in a game, as well."

As Indiana (13-9) wraps up their four-game road trip tonight, the Fever visit the Las Vegas Aces (17-6) for the second time in the past week at Michelob ULTRA Arena.
Despite not playing in the Fever's thrilling 92-89 victory over the Mercury on Thursday night due to rest, former Hawkeye legend Caitlin Clark is expected to be in the lineup tonight, albeit with a 20-25-minute playing-time restriction, per head coach Stephanie White.
White also added that the Fever won't use the same three-minute-burst strategy with Clark as they did in her Wednesday return against the Los Angeles Sparks, a move that ultimately proved ineffective.

The Phoenix Mercury began a two-game road trip against the two best teams in the WNBA by nearly making history — but not the kind of history that anyone ******* ociated with the team might choose to remember.
The Las Vegas Aces defeated the Mercury 106-58 on Saturday, a 48-point loss that was the third-worst in WNBA history. A'ja Wilson led all scorers with 21 points and grabbed 15 rebounds. And in her WNBA debut, Justine ******* ott added 19 points off the bench, shooting 5-for-6 on 3-pointers.
Believe it or not, this was a rematch of the WNBA Finals, which the Aces won in a four-game sweep for their third championship in four seasons. The Mercury also defeated the Aces 99-66 in their 2026 season opener.
The Aces took a 29-9 lead after the first quarter and had a 57-22 edge at halftime. With nearly seven minutes remaining in the game, Las Vegas led by 54 points, 92-38.
The largest blowout in WNBA history is a 59-point win by the Minnesota Lynx over the Indiana Fever, 111-52, in 2017. The Lynx put together a 37-0 run in that game.

WNBA rookie Ta'Niya Latson gets the chance to learn from the best player to ever put on a South Carolina women's basketball uniform.
After Latson was waived by the Los Angeles Sparks on July 6, she signed a developmental contract with the Las Vegas Aces on July 8 where she'll play with A'ja Wilson, the league's only four-time MVP.
Latson was taken No. 20 overall in the second round of the 2026 WNBA Draft but the 5-foot-8 guard only averaged 1.8 points and 5.0 minutes across 10 games before getting cut.
Coach Dawn Staley now is back to having 13 former Gamecocks in the league this season which is a program record. Wilson played for Staley from 2014-18, playing on the program's first national championship in 2017 before going No. 1 overall in the 2018 draft.
Wilson averages a league-high 25.7 points per game but hasn't played since June 28 because of a leg injury. The Latson news comes a day after the Aces waived Chennedy Carter, a 5-9 guard who was averaging 14.3 points. They also signed former Vanderbilt small forward Justine ******* ott to a rest of the season contract.

LAS VEGAS – The Aces continued their midseason roster reshuffle on Wednesday, signing 2026 WNBA Draft second-round pick Ta'Niya Latson to a Development Player contract.
Latson, a former South Carolina Gamecock, was selected No. 20 by Los Angeles in the spring before being waived on Monday. The 5-foot-8 guard featured just 10 times for the Sparks, averaging 1.8 points and 1.0 rebounds per game in limited minutes.
This move comes on the back of the Aces waiving veteran guard Chennedy Carter on Tuesday. In a corresponding move, Vegas signed rookie wing Justine ***** ott from the Indiana Fever for the remainder of the season.
While ***** ott added size, at 6-foot-4, and perimeter shooting, Latson feels like a more natural Carter replacement.
Latson made her name in college as a scorer. She averaged 22.6 points per game in three years at Florida State — including 25.2 ppg as a junior — before transferring to SC. She tallied 14.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 3.6 ***** ists per tilt as a Gamecock, starting in all 35 games and helping her team to the NCAA National Championship game.

The Indiana Fever are not playing to their potential right now, and the team's frontcourt issues are a big reason as to why.
Outside of superstar forward Aliyah Boston and standout free agent forward Myisha Hines-Allen, the team just doesn't have many impact players factoring in to the regular rotations. Is there anything Indiana can do to fix that?
Outside of improvement from forwards Monique Billings and Makayla Timpson or impacts from 2026 rookie forwards like Grace VanSlooten and Justine ****** ott, the Fever can't do much in-house. The team would have to look outside of Indiana to find some help. Luckily for the Fever, there are options available via trade and free agency.
Let's break down who they are and why they would make sense for an Indiana team that needs some help.
The Sun (Comets) look like they're trying to win the JuJu Watkins sweepstakes at this point in time for the move to Houston. That could inspire Connecticut to make a deal or two if the losses keep piling up. Nelson-Ododa had played in Stephanie White's system from the latter's time with the Sun; she's the kind of defensive threat that Indiana is sorely lacking right now. Her $735k cap hit would be a lot, but perhaps Indiana could unload Billings' contract in a trade to even out the fiscal impact and throw in a good draft pick for Connecticut to facilitate a deal. Bailing on Billings so early might seem like an overreaction, but the Fever desperately need the defensive help if contending for a ****** le is even vaguely in the cards. Adding Nelson-Ododa would be a big swing to help fix that.
