Bill Ackman is one of the most closely followed investment managers on Wall Street. His investment strategy typically involves long-term buy-and-hold investments that can sit in Pershing Square's (NYSE: PS) portfolios for years. But 2026 has proven to be a transformative year for the fund manager and its portfolios.
Not only did Ackman launch a new fund last quarter, but he also made a major shake-up in his investments for the company. Here are all the moves Ackman and his team made over the last few months.
Missed Nvidia in 2009? This Rare Signal Is Flashing Again. In 2009, a "Double Down" signal flashed for a little-known chipmaker called Nvidia. For the first time in years, that same "Total Conviction" signal is flashing for a company 1/100th the size of Nvidia. Continue »
Ackman successfully raised $5 billion to launch Pershing Square USA (NYSE: PSUS) last quarter. The closed-end fund makes it easier for U.S. investors to invest alongside Ackman. The portfolio in Pershing Square USA will closely match that of the long-standing Pershing Square Holdings fund.
Ackman says the fund has already invested 95% of the $5 billion raised since launching in late April. He benefited from a volatile market in which some of Pershing Square's largest investments traded at a discount to the prices at which he bought them in the existing Pershing Square Holdings fund.

The latest round of Form 13Fs has dropped, and that means investors get to see what billionaire hedge fund managers were up to during the second quarter. One popular stock to buy was Meta Platforms (NASDAQ: META), and two prominent billionaire hedge fund managers bought the stock. Bill Ackman at Pershing Square increased their stake by 20% during the quarter, and it now makes up nearly 10% of its holdings. David Tepper of Appaloosa Management increased his Meta stake by more than 50%, and it now makes up a 5% position in his portfolio.
That's two smart investors dumping a lot of money into Meta's stock, but that information is now a bit old. The 13F filing reveals only what a firm's positions were as of June 30. Since June 30, Meta's stock is actually down 3% from where it ended the quarter. However, these two could have bought at any time during Q2. Since April 1, Meta's stock is down around 6%.
Continue »
So right now is actually a better buying opportunity than during any time in Q2. Is Meta still a buy?
Prior to Q2's earnings announcement, Meta stock was actually on the rise during the start of July, leading to quick short-term gains for these two investors. However, that all came crashing down following a poorly received earnings report. While Meta's revenue soared 28% during Q2, its costs increased by 55%, leading to shrinking operating profits. The market wasn't impressed by this or its spending plans and sold the stock off as a result.

Fans aren't the only ones rolling their eyes at Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster's public displays of affection. His ex-wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, has been too, a source tells Globe.
The couple got roasted for their "cringey" duet at a benefit gala on Monday, August 3 in Ogunquit, Maine, where they sang The Greatest Showman's "A Million Dreams."
"The cheese is just too much!" a Facebook user commented on a video posted to Stage Scene Now.
Furness, 70, "knows how much Hugh thrives on attention," says the source. "He's all about the cameras and putting on a show, so she doesn't see these big public displays as any sort of evidence that he's madly in love. She says it's just Hugh doing his usual over-the-top performative schtick."
At the end of the day, "it's going to take more than Hugh and Sutton singing love ballads to each other for her to believe this is the real deal or some match made in heaven that's going to last forever," the source reveals.

Netflix (NFLX) shares closed 5.4% higher on Aug. 13 after Bill Ackman's Pershing Square Holdings (PSHZF) disclosed a new stake in the streaming giant. The move added a vote of confidence at a time when NFLX stock is trading well below its peak.
The investment case is straightforward: Netflix has experienced a sharp valuation reset, but its underlying growth and profitability outlook remain strong.

Hugh Jackman is reportedly ready to marry Sutton Foster, but one major obstacle lies in the way: the actress's estranged husband, screenwriter Ted Griffin.
According to a new report, the Marvel star is now trying to establish a relationship with Griffin and is willing to do whatever it takes to get him to sign off on the divorce papers.
Sources also speculate that Sutton Foster's ongoing divorce from her ex-husband has become a dark cloud over her romantic relationship with Hugh Jackman.

As Anthropic preps for its initial public offering, there's a math puzzle not even its ultrafrontier models can solve: What's the right price?
Not just the price of its eventual IPO (though that's certainly top of mind these days), but also the price of using its suite of high-powered artificial intelligence tools. On Thursday, Bloomberg reported that Anthropic is in talks to pay $6 billion for startup Decart, which makes software that improves chip efficiency, reducing the cost of training and running AI. It's a big sign that it's reading the room on cheaper open-source models.

Back to Pershing Square one? It's been a busy year for Bill Ackman. In addition to listing his alternative ****** et manager Pershing Square and its new stock-picking fund Pershing Square USA, he abandoned a $1.5 billion position in Universal Music after the company said no to a $65 billion takeover.
On Thursday, he revealed one of the biggest shakeups at those funds in years, writing that Pershing took on six new holdings in the second quarter: Netflix, Mastercard and Visa, eye care firm Alcon, exchange operator Intercontinental, and financial data provider S&P Global. Sutton Foster wore a plunging, sequin evening gown during a surprise musical performance with her boyfriend Hugh Jackman.
The couple took the stage during a three-day creative retreat hosted by Foster in The Berkshires.
Foster and Jackman confirmed their relationship in January 2025, two years after wrapping their Broadway run of The Music Man in 2023.
Sutton Foster shared a fairy-tale romance moment on stage with Hugh Jackman during a wellness-centered weekend in The Berkshires.
From August 10 to August 13, the Younger star hosted Leading Women: A Sutton Foster Retreat, a three-day creative experience featuring workshops, dance cardio workouts, strength training, and meditation. Philadelphia Waterdogs attackman CJ Kirst talks PLL playoffs, Rob Pannell's points record, and more originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
Philadelphia Waterdogs attackman CJ Kirst enters Saturday's regular season matchup with the New York Atlas at Subaru Park in Chester, PA, with the chance to break the PLL's all-time single-season goal record. Marcus Holman has held that record (30) since 2023. If Kirst doesn't get the record-breaking 31st goal on Saturday, he'll have the chance again on Sunday against the Maryland Whipsnakes in the regular-season finale.
Maryland, of course, has the all-time record holder for points in outdoor lacrosse, Rob Pannell. As Kirst told me, Pannell has been a mentor since his days at Cornell. Pannell was a Big Red lax legend over a decade before Kirst arrived in Ithaca.
I spoke with Kirst about Pannell's record that was set in July, and whether he's eyeing it, the PLL playoffs, and the Global Lacrosse Games ahead of his potentially historic weekend in the Philly metro.

Staying at one company for decades was once a badge of honor. But as layoffs have become more common and workers have turned to job hopping for higher pay and career growth, employee loyalty has become harder to find. Billionaire investor Bill Ackman, however, still believes earning employee loyalty is worth every penny.
That's why his hedge fund Pershing Square, which manages roughly $35 billion in ***** ets, offers its four dozen employees generous workplace benefits, including broad ownership and an even rare degree of flexibility for Wall Street.
"There's not a person at Pershing Square that doesn't own multiple millions of dollars of stock in the company—whether you're cleaning the ***** e or at the front desk or another role in the company," Ackman told Fortune's Editor-in-Chief Alyson Shontell on a recent episode of Fortune's ***** ans and Disruptors of Industry podcast. "We believe in taking care of our people."
Ackman's approach to retention goes beyond financial incentives. While Perishing employees are required to work from the office five days a week—that policy only applies for 10 months of the year. During July and August, employees can spread out as they like, with the company's investment team moving to the Hamptons together, either in homes they rent or own, to work.
"We look after people, and so that when you operate that way, people don't think about going anyplace else," Ackman said.

Surprisingly enough, most hedge funds habitually underperform the broad market. That's what makes any of them that reliably beat the S&P 500 of such interest.
And that's what makes Bill Ackman's hedge fund Pershing Square Capital Management (NYSE: PS) so interesting right now. Although it lagged early this year, it has outperformed -- albeit unevenly -- the broad market since its launch in 2004. Moreover, its flagship fund Pershing Square Holdings' (OTC: PSHZF) positions are leading the marketwide bullish charge again right now.

Even more incredible is that rather than diversifying this portfolio, a mere seven stocks account for 98% of the fund's total value. Here's a rundown of those seven.
Just because Ackman likes them doesn't necessarily mean they're all right for your portfolio. He and Pershing's investors are accustomed to inconsistent performance. You may not be able to afford such uncertainty and prolonged dry spells from your portfolio.

August is kicking off with a bang as WWE hosts SummerSlam across two nights this weekend in Minnesota. It marks the second time WWE has shifted its second-biggest PLE of the year to a two-night format, and the show has big shoes to fill after last year's surprise-filled show.
As usual, the Uncrowned Horsemen — Kel Dansby, Robert Jackman, Drake Riggs and Anthony Sulla-Heffinger — are here to break down the entire event, answer burning questions and make predictions for the 12-match card. Let's ride!
CM Punk vs. Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship headlines Night 1.
Kel Dansby: I haven't been genuinely excited for a Roman Reigns ****** le match in a long time, so Cody Rhodes vs. CM Punk wins by default.
It has everything you want in a SummerSlam main event: two of WWE's biggest stars, a strong story, and several believable directions depending on who leaves as champion. Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins, on the other hand, feels like it's leaning heavily on Shield nostalgia. If we're being honest, we're right back to Reigns relying on Bloodline interference to keep the ****** le. At this point, it doesn't feel like Rollins has much of a chance to dethrone him.

Hugh Jackman just finished doing business with Jason Segel.
In Touch can confirm that the Deadpool & Wolverine star, 57, purchased Segel's former Pasadena, California, home in an off-market deal for nearly $6.9 million.
The 5,091-square-foot, single-family home includes five bedrooms and five bathrooms. The Shrinking star, 46, purchased the property — which was built in 1919 — in May 2019 for $4.255 million.
At the time Segel made the purchase, Architectural Digest reported that the house had retained much of its original character, but with major updates, including a room that was being used as a home gym and an updated chef's kitchen.
The formal living room boasts a wood-burning fireplace, and the kitchen features an island and a breakfast nook. Some of the bedrooms on the upstairs level feature slightly slanted ceilings, and some of the bathrooms include deep-soaking tubs as well as glass-enclosed steam showers.

Listen, if Conor McGregor had smoked Max Holloway in his return fight, here's guessing at least one of our Uncrowned MMA Pound-for-Pound voters would've slotted him in the top 10 of this month's list.
(We're mostly kidding.)
Yet given the anticlimactic nature of the ending of Saturday's UFC 329 main event, the more realistic question was whether Max Holloway would break back into the top 10 ******* e on the men's side of the ledger, and the answer is … no. Holloway got the 69-second victory, but he didn't need to do much in Las Vegas to secure it.
So as we enter the dog days of summer, the MMA pound-for-pound list stays steady with Islam Makhachev and Valentina Shevchenko holding down the top spots.
The panel of Ben Fowlkes, Chuck Mindenhall, Shaheen Al-Shatti, Petesy Carroll, Drake Riggs, Eric Jackman and Conner Burks have ranked both the men's and women's pound-for-pound best, one through 10, using a weighted points system to determine the final rankings (being voted No. 1 equals 10 points, No. 2 equals nine points, down to No. 10 equaling one point).

Hugh Jackman has opened up about his hopes of donning the Adamantium claws as Wolverine for the foreseeable future. However, he added that he will not meddle if a successor eventually emerges.
The actor has also made headlines this year for his love life with Sutton Foster, with reports suggesting things have hit a rough patch between them.
An alleged prenup also emerged in May amid speculation that the pair may have gotten engaged.
For over two decades, Hugh Jackman has been largely synonymous with Logan, the gruff mutant known as Wolverine.
But as Marvel Studios inevitably looks toward the future, the Australian actor has offered his blessing to whoever eventually steps into his shoes, while also expressing his desire to play the role for as long as he can.

With the calendar turning to July, we're officially in the second half of 2026. The first half of the year produced some truly special moments, some serious head-scratchers and everything in between in the world of professional wrestling.
All throughout, we've been watching, ******* yzing, critiquing and fantasy booking, so what better group to dissect 2026 so far than the Uncrowned Horsemen themselves. So, without further ado, here's how Robert Jackman, Raj Prashad, Drake Riggs and Anthony Sulla-Heffinger rate the first half of the year in pro wrestling.
Let's ride!
Robert Jackman: I imagine we're going to have a fair bit of agreement here, but so be it. I'm going with Ospreay and Strickland at Forbidden Door this weekend. I really don't have much to add to Riggs' six-star review and live blog from the night itself, which now reads like a first draft of history.
It really was one of those matches that just ticked every box. It was athletically and technically impressive, it was well paced, there were killer spots, and it had a good storyline running throughout. The fact that they even made good use of the Death Riders feels like showing off. I mean, last year I couldn't wait to see the back of that crew, but they actually made it work.

Panama face England at the New York/New Jersey Stadium on Saturday evening, already eliminated from the 2026 World Cup and playing their final group game with nothing but pride at stake.
Two competitive 1–0 defeats to Ghana and Croatia have confirmed their exit. The Canal Men have not scored in either match and remain without a point at this World Cup. Against the most technically accomplished side they have faced at this tournament, breaking that duck will require something close to perfect.
Thomas Christiansen has a near-complete squad available but is without his two most influential midfielders. Adalberto Carrasquilla has not featured at this World Cup due to an adductor injury and suffered a further setback before the Croatia match. With nothing at stake in this fixture, Christiansen has no reason to rush him back.
Captain Anibal Godoy — Panama’s all-time appearance record holder with 160 caps — has managed just one minute of regular action at this tournament through lack of match fitness and is unlikely to start here.
In their absence, the midfield four of Cristian Martínez, Carlos Harvey, Yoel Bárcenas and José Luis Rodríguez is expected to continue in front of a disciplined back five. Amir Murillo operates as right-wing back alongside César Blackman on the left.

More than a year after Gene Hackman and his wife, Betsy Arakawa, were found dead inside their Santa Fe home, the National Enquirer can confirm that the couple's graves have finally been marked with headstones.
Hackman's plaque describes the Oscar winner as a "Husband, Father, Artist," while Arakawa's remembers her as a "Beloved Wife, A Beautiful Soul."
As the National Enquirer previously reported, the pair's graves were initially only marked by a conch shell. At the time, Hackman's three adult children – Christopher, Elizabeth and Leslie – were involved in an ongoing dispute regarding his estate. The graves remained unmarked as the legal battle played out.
Earlier this year, Page Six reported that the case remains ongoing.
The Hoosiers star and Arakawa were found dead after a welfare check on February 26, 2025. At first, there was speculation they died due to carbon monoxide poisoning, a gas leak or foul play. Investigators ultimately ruled those theories out after determining there were no signs of foul play and both tested negative for carbon monoxide.

Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds recently reunited at an MLB game. There, they were nearly struck by a foul ball, prompting a moment of shock. The outing comes shortly after the announcement that the Deadpool & Wolverine stars are teaming up for a new Disney+ docuseries.
MLB took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a video featuring Reynolds and Jackman reacting to a moment from the New York Yankees vs. Cleveland Guardians game. The duo was engaged in a brief conversation before being abruptly interrupted. A player hit a foul ball that flew toward the section where they were seated, and it touched the protective barrier in front of them. While it appeared to come dangerously close to hitting them, the protective fencing prevented any incident. The hit, however, prompted a reaction of fear and shock from them, as well as those seated in that particular section.
MLB wrote the caption, "Wolverine and Deadpool scared by a foul ball? Superheroes … they're just like us." The moment garnered mixed reactions from fans. One wrote, "They are actors. They play make believe for a living. They aren't really super heroes are even heroes." Another added, "What? You want them not to react at all? That's how people get hurt, not reacting." A third one joked, "Wolverine's healing factor won't save him from a line drive."
A fourth one added, "They're just like us do the way the Ball fly is some how scary." Other reactions included "Proof that baseball is more dangerous than supervillains" and "Saving the world is one thing, dodging foul ******* is another."
A few days back, it was announced that Reynolds and Jackman are coming together for a docuseries based on their co-owned sports team, SailGP. In a statement, they shared excitement about working on this second project since the 2024 MCU project.

NBA announces 2026 Draft Lottery team representatives, including Vince Carter for the Nets

The NBA announced each representative for the 14 teams in Sunday’s NBA Draft Lottery in Chicago. Those on stage are a mix of former team greats and current NBA stars, along with less exciting front-office executives and, in one case, a family member of team ownership.
The representatives attending the lottery are as follows, listed in alphabetical order by team:
Atlanta Hawks: Onsi Saleh, general manager
Brooklyn Nets: Vince Carter, team legend
Charlotte Hornets: Kon Knueppel
Chicago Bulls: Toni Kukoč, special advisor to team president and CEO
Dallas Mavericks: Rolando Blackman, team legend
Golden State Warriors: Larry Harris, ***** istant GM/director of player personnel
Indiana Pacers: T.J. McConnell
Memphis Grizzlies: Tayshaun Prince, vice president of basketball affairs
Miami Heat: Alonzo Mourning, VP of player programs
Milwaukee Bucks: Mallory Edens, team ownership
Oklahoma City Thunder: Nick Collison, special ***** istant to GM
Sacramento Kings: Scott Perry, GM
Utah Jazz: Keyonte George
Washington Wizards: John Wall, team legend
Some might raise an eyebrow at Vince Carter representing the Nets as a team legend. However, among the eight teams he played for during his Hall of Fame career, his second-longest stint was with the Nets, who were located in New Jersey during his five seasons with the team.
Carter also averaged 23.6 points per game in New Jersey, just higher than the 23.4 he averaged for the Toronto Raptors.
