Chipotle will expand its Apprentice program by placing these employees in over 4,200 company-owned locations by the end of 2027, the chain said in a press release Tuesday.
Apprentices — high-performing employees working toward a management position — are currently in about 75% of its restaurants. Adding more apprentices will create additional opportunities for crew members to advance their careers, while the organization builds a deeper management bench.
These up-and-coming leaders are a key part of the chain's unit growth strategy, particularly as it expands towards 7,000 restaurants in the U.S. and Canada. This year, it expects to open between 350 to 370 company-owned units.
Developing its leadership pipeline is part of the chain's Recipe for Growth strategy, which also includes strengthening its core menu, improving brand messaging and menu innovations, modernizing its business model with technology and expanding its global reach.

Actor Sebastian Stan refuses to go down the beaten path in his career. Despite global fame with the "Winter Soldier" franchise, the actor actively seeks out challenging roles that push him out of his comfort zone.
In an interview with Vulture, Stan reflected on his career evolution. He explained that he prefers playing the tough roles and not the conventional lead-man ones.
The 44-year-old admitted that boundary-pushing roles have a special appeal. "I'm drawn to a situation that provokes failure," Stan said, explaining his criteria for choosing roles.
Stan said that he was tied to privileged or villainous characters during his early years. After being cast in the Marvel universe, he felt that his stereotyping had dried up challenging roles for him in Hollywood.

After adding veteran safety Taylor Rapp to their practice squad on Monday, the Denver Broncos cut undrafted rookie long snapper Luke Basso to make room for Rapp, according to KUSA-TV's Mike Klis.
Basso (6-3, 246 pounds) signed with the Broncos as a UDFA out of Oregon this spring. He competed with Mitch Fraboni this summer and after both players failed to make the 53-man roster, Denver signed each to the practice squad. Fraboni is expected to eventually get fully promoted to the active roster, and Basso will likely be kept in mind in case the Broncos ever need a fill-in long snapper down the road.
Rapp becomes the second safety on the practice squad, joining seventh-round draft pick Miles Scott. It wouldn't be surprising to see Rapp eventually fully promoted to the active roster once he gets up to speed in Denver.

The Denver Broncos had to make some tough decisions this weekend as they trimmed the roster from 91 players down to an initial 53-man squad.
Now the Broncos will wait to see who clears waivers, and some recently cut players could be brought back on the practice squad if they are not picked up by other teams. It should be noted that only players with fewer than four credited seasons are subject to the waiver wire. Players with four or more accrued seasons are considered vested veterans, and they simply become free agents.
So veterans like fullback Adam Prentice won't hit the waiver wire (and he's expected to return on the practice squad). NEW YORK/MILAN, Aug 13 (Reuters) - Global equities rose on Thursday as investors pared back their bets on a U.S. rate hike, while oil prices fell more than 2% as higher inventories and lower global demand forecasts offset geopolitical concerns.
U.S. ‌producer price data, which was unchanged in July, reduced expectations for a Federal Reserve rate hike next month, helping tech stocks power the S&P ‌500 to an intraday record high.
The data followed Wednesday's consumer price report, which showed U.S. prices rose 3.4% in the 12 months through July, in line with economists' expectations.
Traders scaled back their bets on a September rate hike, pricing in a 65% probability of the Fed staying on hold next month versus 50% on Wednesday.

Lord Sugar says American Express refused to increase his credit-card limit despite his estimated £1.138 billion fortune, leaving the famously outspoken businessman furious with the company's decision.
The 79-year-old Apprentice star said he spent around an hour on the phone with American Express and was transferred between four different people while trying to get his spending limit raised. He eventually reached a representative in Brighton who, according to Sugar, recognized who he was and was familiar with his financial position.
That apparently made no difference. Sugar said the representative still could not approve his request because it was rejected "due to their system," prompting him to take his frustration public on X.
The complaint quickly produced a different question from followers: why would somebody worth more than £1 billion need a higher credit-card limit in the first place? Sugar's answer was characteristically blunt, he said he does not carry bags of cash around and needs a card for the same basic reason other people do.
Sugar described the experience on X on Monday, saying what should have been a request to increase his credit limit became a lengthy telephone call with American Express. He said he was transferred between four representatives before eventually reaching an employee at the company's Brighton operation. "My request was refused due to their system," Sugar wrote, according to The Sun, which also reported that American Express had been approached for comment.

His impressive streak started with an unbeaten 109 against Middlesex, helping Worcestershire chase down 294. Carolina signed Rasheed Walker as a free agent in March because they knew left tackle Ikem Ekwonu had a long rehab ahead of him after tearing his patellar tendon, but news this week that right tackle Taylor Moton is dealing with a blood clot in his lung came as a surprise. Moton is expected to be out into the regular season and that puts first-round pick Monroe Freeling on track to start on that side of the offensive line.
Freeling played left tackle at Georgia and he appeared set to play an apprentice role as a rookie, but Morgan said he feels comfortable with how things are currently taking shape up front.
"I think we’ll be covered there," Morgan said, via the team's website. "We feel good about it, and I know T-Mo will definitely support Monroe there at right tackle and teach him all he knows. So, yeah, we feel good about it. I think that's why depth matters so much in this league. And drafting Monroe and taking the best player available, it happened to be a tackle, it worked out really well for us. So we feel really good about him. We're confident in him, and I know he's going to attack it and he's going to be out there competing."
The Panthers also have a new center in Luke Fortner and the offensive line will have to gel over the coming weeks for the team to get off on the right foot come September.

NEW YORK, July 22 (Reuters) - Many patients have opted for injectable forms of the wildly popular GLP-1 obesity medications through a pilot program of the U.S. government's Medicare health insurance program for Americans aged 65 and older, according to early indications from doctors and ‌analysts.
The U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services this month launched an 18-month trial program that for the first time opens access to Novo Nordisk's Wegovy and ‌Eli Lilly's Foundayo and Zepbound as weight-loss treatment alone for a monthly cost of $50.
Millions of people are expected to qualify, and doctors are already being flooded with interest from patients aged 65 and older. For the most part, they say the process is going well — with some hiccups.
Many pharmaceutical industry experts had expected that patients would prefer pills over injections, for convenience. Novo's U.S. chief Jamey Millar in June said the firm's research indicated that Medicare beneficiaries prefer the oral pill to the injectable on a two-to-one basis.

NEW YORK, July 1 (Reuters) - Millions more Americans will qualify for obesity medications at just $50 a month under a new Medicare program starting on Wednesday, bringing the highly effective drugs to people aged 65 and older at an affordable price.
The U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services' 18-month trial program will offer for the first time Novo ‌Nordisk's Wegovy and Eli Lilly's Foundayo and Zepbound as a weight-loss treatment alone.
Medicare, which also covers people with disabilities, has been barred from weight-loss coverage and had paid for the drugs only when ‌prescribed for co-conditions like cardiovascular issues and severe fatty liver disease. Now the program offers three pathways for some Medicare subscribers to qualify for coverage.
Eligible patients are estimated in the single-digit millions, a U.S. official said recently. Wall Street **** ysts estimate that will amount to billions of dollars in revenue for the drugmakers.

WASHINGTON, June 24 (Reuters) - The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's enforcement division is probing funds typically used by private equity firms and other money managers to hold on to **** ets they either cannot or do not wish to sell, as the agency explores potential issues in private markets, said three people familiar ‌with the matter.
In recent months, SEC enforcement staff have homed in on a number of "continuation vehicles," or CVs, said the people, who spoke on condition of anonymity.
They are investigating potential conflicts ‌of interest around the CVs, how managers are valuing the **** ets, and whether investor disclosures are sufficient and consistent, the three people said. Reuters could not ascertain which specific funds are being investigated or what type of **** ets they hold.
The enforcement scrutiny into CVs has not previously been reported.

NEW YORK, June 15 (Reuters) - Big U.S. lenders are bracing for further public scrutiny over whether they improperly closed customer accounts as a top watchdog wraps up a review that is expected to name and shame banks and result in disciplinary action, said several people with knowledge of the matter.
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency is poised ‌to publish in coming weeks the findings of a supervisory review of whether lenders including JPMorgan and Bank of America cut off or denied services on religious or political grounds, often dubbed debanking. It has ‌also examined whether lenders denied services to legitimate, conservative-aligned sectors such as fossil-fuel companies, gun makers and crypto, the people said.
Debanking generally refers to the process whereby a financial institution suddenly cuts off or restricts services to individuals or businesses. Unionized workers are employed on a huge number of massive data center projects and scrambling to recruit new apprentices to feed the explosive demand.
They’ve also become an ally of tech giants and tech-friendly government officials, echoing the talking point that the United States is in a critical national security race with China for AI superiority.

I have voted Libertarian since 2016.

I figured out Trump was trash in 1999;
researched him for Business Ethics,
before The Apprentice or POTUS.

He is a Populist, not D and not R.
