Police are investigating an incident between Cardiff defender Krystian Bielik and home supporters during Portsmouth's 2-0 Championship win on Saturday.
Bielik was involved in a physical altercation with a fan as he went to retrieve a ball from the crowd late in the second half.
Hampshire Police were notified of the incident during the match and launched an investigation immediately afterwards.
"We can confirm that we are investigating an incident in which a teenage boy was reportedly the victim of a common ***** ault during the football match at Fratton Park. Our enquiries are ongoing," the police said.
Several Portsmouth supporters made gestures that indicated they believed the fan had been grabbed by the throat.

What exactly happened in England this afternoon? During the match between Portsmouth FC and Cardiff City, away defender Krystian Bielik and a fan got into an altercation.
With the home side leading 2-0, the young fan tried to stop Bielik from taking a quick throw-in. The Pole clearly did not take kindly to that. He grabbed the home fan by the neck before the boy's family members stepped in and calmed the situation down.
The crazy part: according to media reports, the family, including the young fan, was then thrown out of the stadium. Bielik, meanwhile, did not even receive a card for his action. However, the Pole had already been booked earlier.

Cardiff defender Krystian Bielik is confident the Bluebirds can reach the Championship play-offs.
Bielik joined from West Brom last week and was pleased with his debut in the 2-2 draw with Sheffield United, but felt his new side deserved all three points.
The 28-year-old thinks Cardiff are capable of beating any team in the Championship if they iron out a few issues at both ends of the pitch.
Cardiff face unbeaten QPR at Loftus Road on Wednesday, 2 September (19:45 BST), and Bielik hopes they can build momentum with their first league win since promotion.
"The club is very optimistic, as every club should be. The plans for the future are for the Premier League," said Bielik.

West Brom boss James Morrison has confirmed the club are close to signing Levante winger Kareem Tunde after their 3-2 Carabao Cup defeat to Newcastle.
Morrison refused to discuss the deal in detail but indicated an announcement could be imminent.
"Yes, it's close," Morrison said. "I'll talk about it when it's done."
The Baggies boss also explained the decision to allow Krystian Bielik to leave for Cardiff City, insisting the defender wanted more regular football.
"Personally, the club felt it was a good offer," Morrison said.

Celtic of course hold a 3-0 advantage from the first leg, but even then, the USA International isn't taking anything for granted.
Trusty said: "Yeah, you can't be **** y, you can't be too full of yourself. Football is a crazy environment where if you give teams momentum, they can take it. And they're at home next game, so we've just got to go there and play our game," The Scotsman reports, with the Celtic fan media still disgracefully banned by the Celtic Board.
"But we'll have the Celtic fans hopefully cheering us on and we'll be good. It's a good result, it gives us momentum. We have a good number of goals to have some momentum going with us in the next game.

The Washington Commanders were off on Monday, but general manager Adam Peters remained busy. First, Washington made an addition at running back, signing veteran Craig Reynolds. Veteran Jeremy McNichols is currently dealing with a quad injury.
Secondly, Washington made a decision at kicker. Incumbent Jake Moody had been competing with undrafted rookie Drew Stevens, but on Monday, the Commanders released Moody. Stevens now has the kicking job.
Finally, Peters made yet another move, as Washington is expected to sign veteran linebacker Krys Barner, per Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports.
Barnes, 28, entered the NFL in 2020 as an undrafted free agent. He initially signed with the Green Bay Packers and played there for three seasons. In 2023, Barnes signed with the Arizona Cardinals and played for two seasons. He played for the Carolina Panthers last season.
In six NFL seasons, Barnes has appeared in 75 games with 33 starts. He has 303 career tackles, 5.5 sacks and one interception.

The Commanders roster churn continues as we enter the next wave of training camp. Washington added veteran linebacker Krys Barnes, CBS Sports' Matt Zenitz reported on Monday evening.
The UCLA product has been in the NFL since 2020, with stops in Green Bay, Arizona and Carolina over the past six seasons. He has 303 total tackles, including 16 for a loss and a sack to his credit.
This adds depth to an already strong position group, which may portend that there's an injury to be accounted for within the position group that we don't yet know about. It could also ramp up competition there and on special teams, where the Commanders are always looking for capable players in the kicking game.
This was one of several transactions made by the Commanders in the wake of Friday's 20-7 preseason win over the Miami Dolphins. The team is expected to announce most of the signings, and at least one corresponding move before Tuesday morning's practice.

And then, there were none.
According to Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports, the Washington Commanders are expected to sign free-agent linebacker Krys Barnes. Barnes is the last remaining Carolina Panthers free agent from this offseason.
Barnes first joined the Panthers in August of 2025. He'd be released later that month, then signed back as a member of the practice squad ahead of the regular season.
Needing depth at the inside linebacker position, the Panthers moved Barnes up to the active roster in late November. He'd go on to appear in seven games—making three starts and amassing 23 combined tackles and half a sack.
Before his one-year stint in Carolina, Barnes split his first five NFL seasons between the Green Bay Packers (2020 to 2022) and the Arizona Cardinals (2023 to 2024). The 28-year-old and former undrafted free agent is now set to enter his seventh NFL campaign.

Tutor Perini (NYSE: TPC) has been tapped for inclusion on an index run by a high-profile financial information and ****** ysis company, and investors were there for it on Tuesday. Following the news, they eagerly snapped up shares of the construction company, leaving it with a nearly 8% gain that trading session.
Just after market close on Monday, S&P Global's S&P Dow Jones Indices announced modifications to its S&P MidCap 400 and S&P SmallCap 600 indexes.
Missed Nvidia in 2009? This Rare Signal Is Flashing Again. In 2009, a "Double Down" signal flashed for a little-known chipmaker called Nvidia. For the first time in years, that same "Total Conviction" signal is flashing for a company 1/100th the size of Nvidia. Continue »
The one that affected Tutor Perini was the looming departure of a fellow construction stock, Taylor Morrison Home, from the S&P MidCap 400. Taylor Morrison is being acquired by the once Warren Buffett-led Berkshire Hathaway and will no longer be an independent company.
Taylor Morrison's place in that index will be taken by current S&P SmallCap 600 constituent Krystal Biotech (NASDAQ: KRYS). In turn, Tutor Perini will supplant Krystal Biotech in that lineup.

A copy of the letter can be downloaded here. In the first quarter of 2026, the Small Company Fund (Investor shares) fell 19.78%, significantly lagging the Russell 2000 Growth index's 2.81% decline. Worsened market conditions due to the Iran war, driving the oil price spike and increased volatility in equities. Despite stabilization in the performance as the quarter progressed, early declines and weakness in large positions significantly impacted the Fund's performance. Please review the Fund's top five holdings to gain insights into their key selections for 2026.
In its first-quarter 2026 investor letter, The Brown Capital Management Small Company Fund highlighted SiTime Corporation (NASDAQ:SITM) as a newly added position. SiTime Corporation (NASDAQ:SITM) designs and develops solutions for silicon timing systems. On June 23, 2026, SiTime Corporation (NASDAQ:SITM) closed at $706.90 per share. The Brown Capital Management Small Company Fund stated the following regarding SiTime Corporation (NASDAQ:SITM) in its Q1 2026 investor letter:
"We added four companies to the Small Company Fund in the first quarter of 2026—Credo Technology (CRDO), Krystal Biotech (KRYS), SiTime Corporation (NASDAQ:SITM) and Xpel (XPEL).
SiTime makes silicon-based timekeeping components that tell electronic devices when to perform critical functions at precise times. The company makes advanced silicon chips that replace old quartz crystals and keep modern electronics running in perfect rhythm, ensuring that computers, phones and wireless devices operate accurately and reliably. Almost every major chip inside modern electronics depends on accurate timing from companies like SiTime. The firm's products are higher performing, smaller in size and more resilient to environmental stressors than quartz, positioning SiTime as a single-source provider of all the timing components required in modern electronics. This holistic approach differentiates SiTime from traditional timing suppliers who typically focus on specific components.

Buying a stock is easy, but buying the right stock without a time-tested strategy is incredibly hard. So what are the best stocks to buy now or put on a watchlist? Caterpillar (CAT), Eli Lilly (LLY), Citigroup (CITI), Teradyne (TER) and Krystal Biotech (KRYS) are prime candidates.
Indexes confounded expectations for difficulties and turned in an outstanding performance in 2023, 2024 and 2025. The Federal Reserve moved to cut rates amid a weakening labor market. However it looks like rate cuts are on hold amid inflation concerns. The conflict in Iran caused a sharp pullback, but then stocks rallied back to new highs.
Remember, there are thousands of stocks trading on the NYSE and Nasdaq. But you want to find the very best stocks right now to generate massive gains.
The IBD Methodology offers clear guidelines on what you should be looking for. Invest in stocks with recent quarterly and annual earnings growth of at least 25%. Look for companies that have new, game-changing products and services. Also consider not-yet-profitable companies, often recent IPOs, that are generating tremendous revenue growth.
Using such an approach can help give you an edge over the benchmark S&P 500. Outdoing this industry benchmark is key to generating exceptional returns over the long term.
