Several friends of Woodley's reportedly spoke to TMZ and questioned why "a married dude is bringing up an ex he hasn't spoken with in over two years," one source told the outlet.
Woodley and Rodgers began dating in July 2020, and a few months later in December 2020, the Pittsburgh Steelers star proposed. The couple confirmed their engagement in February 2021.
The "Divergent" actress's friends called his behavior this week "out of character," as during their relationship he respected her privacy. While Woodley has not spoken out about Rodgers' comments, they told the outlet that they don't believe she would be comfortable with him sharing those private details about their past romance. The two broke up for good in 2022.
