William Shatner reflects on surviving stage 4 cancer and overcoming personal struggles, including poverty and loss
Shatner and his daughter Melanie, also a cancer survivor, are launching a podcast about living fully and embracing the present
Melanie tells PEOPLE how surviving cancer helped her overcome anxiety and fear in her life
No matter what he was facing, William Shatner has always believed the universe would take care of him.
Such was the case when he was diagnosed with metastatic malignant melanoma in 2023. "'They said, 'You got cancer. If you came in later, you would have been dead.' Yeah, see? That's my life,'" he tells PEOPLE exclusively in its latest cover story. "I think I have a vibration, which is what the universe apparently is — all vibration. This is nothing."
