Natasha Lyonne was yet another celebrity who took the runway this fashion week, trying her hand at modeling on Vivienne Westwood's spring 2027 show held on Oct. 3 in Paris. Much like Olivia Colman for Miu Miu's spring 2027 show, Lyonne embodied the brand's spirit, clad in the designer's pieces from head to heel. The "Poker Face" star's look, which came straight from the mind of the brand's Creative Director Andreas Kronthaler, featured a glitzy pair of gladiator-style shoes. The silhouette, which brought back the trend of years gone by, was equipped with a panel on the front adorned with floral motifs, pearls and vines, all in gold that, from afar, looked like sequins. The designer footwear was mixed with something akin to a clog, since the platform base was wooden. Each shoe also featured peep toes and wooden heels that jutted towards the soles. The hybrid style seemed to be a centerpiece of the collection, seen on a slew of

Jennifer Lopez is continuing her Paris Fashion Week style streak with another head-turning brown look. Just days after making a statement in a backless white lace dress, Lopez stepped out in a daring Stella McCartney gown. The look brought together several of the singer and actor's favorite red-carpet elements. It featured a figure-skimming silhouette and unexpected cutouts.
Lopez wore the Stella McCartney dress to a September 30 gala benefiting Naked Heart France in Paris. She posed alongside McCartney at the dinner, held at Langosteria at Cheval Blanc Paris. The event brought together guests including Natalia Vodianova, Bar Refaeli, and Taylor Hill. The dinner supported Naked Heart France's work with autistic children and their families.
The rich brown dress featured gathered fabric across the bodice, creating a draped effect that flowed down the front of the gown. But the biggest surprises came from the sides and back. A cutout exposed Lopez's midriff, while the backless construction revealed much of her back. The thigh-high slit rose dramatically along one side of the gown, putting one leg firmly in the spotlight.
Lopez kept the rest of the styling sleek, pairing the gown with black peep-toe heels, a matching clutch, a statement diamond ring, and small stud earrings. Her hair was pulled back with face-framing pieces, keeping the focus on the dress's dramatic open-back detail.
The singer recently made another daring fashion statement in a white lace dress. That dress also featured a completely open back and thigh-high slit. She styled the romantic, sheer design with white socks and black loafers, giving the glamorous look a surprisingly casual finish.

Amanda Seyfried went for an earthy color palette while attending the Tory Burch spring 2027 show during New York Fashion Week on Thursday. For the event, the actress paired one of the brand's most popular shoes with a fall-ready brown-and-green look. Amanda Seyfried attends the Tory Burch spring 2027 show. Getty Images for Tory Burch She opted for the Tory Burch Peep Toe pump, which has been a favored choice among celebrities in recent years. The peep-toe pump riffs on the classic style with a twisted, sculptural heel, designed to look as if it is in motion. Rather than reveal several toes like a traditional peep-toe silhouette, the cutout frames only the hallux, or big toe — a highly specific footwear trend that surfaced at Copenhagen Fashion Week at the end of August. Grosgrain details and side seaming borrow from balletic pointe shoes. The pumps were made in partnership with a Leather Working Group-certified tannery, which supports high standards in leather manufacturing and chemical management. Their twisted heels measure 90mm, or approximately 3.54 inches, while a cushioned leather footbed offers comfort. The shoes also boast a patent leather upper and grosgrain binding. Napa leather lining and a buffed leather sole complete the construction. A closeup

A shoe named after Dolly Parton simply had to be a stiletto — or at least have a high heel. It was no secret that Parton was a fan of sky-high footwear. Christian Louboutin took the country singer's preference for towering heels seriously, naming a family of pumps, mules and platform heels for his friend and longtime muse.
Parton passed away at the age of 80 on Aug. 25, 2026, following a battle with cancer. Not even a day later, Louboutin took to Instagram to mourn the loss, saying that he considered the "Jolene" singer to be "a true friend, a partner in sweet crimes and laughs and ALWAYS a complete inspiration." The Dolly family of Louboutin shoes has followed suit: there are the round-toe Dolly 85 pumps, the peep-toe Me Dolly mules and towering Dolly Alta platforms that are made for more than a "9 to 5" type of day.

Georgia Bulldogs outfielder Ty Peeples has committed to the Florida State Seminoles. Peeples spent just one season with the Bulldogs in Athens, and the outfielder will now look to shine as a member of the Seminoles next season.
Standing at 6-foot-2, 188 pounds, Peeples is a talented outfielder who played an essential role on the base paths throughout his lone season at Georgia. The outfielder recorded just 17 total at bats despite appearing in 32 games, as Peeples was consistently used as a pinch-runner in a handful of critical situations during the 2026 season. The outfielder could emerge as a star at FSU during his sophomore year, and Peeples’ time with the Bulldogs ending after just one season.
Peeples ended the year with a .294 batting average despite having a limited amount of plate appearances. The talented rising sophomore recorded five hits and six walks as well/ Peeples will look to play a much larger role during his time in Tallahassee next season. The Bulldog flashed his potential on numerous occasions throughout his true freshman year in Athens, and the Dawgs will now turn elsewhere in hopes of replacing Peeples’ speed next season.
Georgia baseball ended the year with an overall record of 53-14 (23-7 SEC). The Bulldogs have lost a handful of talented players in the transfer portal to begin the offseason, as former Georgia right-handed pitcher Jordan Stephens recently committed to the South Carolina Gamecocks after two years in Athens.

The FSU baseball team has added another player through the transfer portal. Former Georgia Bulldogs outfielder Ty Peeples committed to the Seminoles on Thursday, announcing the news on social media.
Peeples was a major recruit in 2025 out of Lavonia, Georgia, and appeared in 32 games as a true freshman for the Bulldogs, making one start. He went 5-17 at the plate with two doubles, three RBI, and nine runs scored. He walked and struck out six times.
He stole three bases and made one error in the outfield, finishing with an .889 fielding percentage. He is the first outfielder that FSU has added in the portal this offseason and will challenge for a starting spot.
Peeples was taken in the 20th round of the 2025 MLB Draft by the Toronto Blue Jays. Perfect Game ranked him as the No. 10 outfielder and the No. 1 player in Georgia in the 2025 class.
He is FSU's third transfer commitment so far, joining pitcher Cameron Suchy and two-way slugger Jackson McKenzie. While his playing time was limited at Georgia, the Seminoles will look to tap into Peeple's potential.

Hey peeps,
On Sunday, the group stage ends on the same day the knockout stages begin.
That won’t give me a lot of time to finalise the groups and let you know who qualified, so keep predicting the knockout-stage games until you see the final tables and knockout rounds.
I will try and get the final groups posted on Sunday night or Monday morning.

Kodai Sengadelivered another dud,Juan Soto left the game early because of back tightness and the Mets lost again, falling to the Cubs, 9-6, in front of 35,668 fans Tuesday night at Citi Field.
The Mets, who have lost three straight and allowed 30 runs over that span, are now 10 games below the .500 mark at 34-44. The Cubs are 41-37.
-The Mets' rotation woes continued as the Cubs scored five times in the second inning against Senga. The night had started very well for the beleaguered Mets' righty – he blazed through the first inning, retiring the side in order with two strikeouts and hitting as high as 98.9 miles per hour on the radar gun. It quickly unraveled, however. Senga walked the first hitter in the second inning, Seiya Suzuki, gave up a single toIan Happ and hit Matt Shaw with a pitch, loading the bases. One out later, Carson Kelly worked a walk in an eight-pitch at-bat, forcing in a run. After Dansby Swanson cracked a sac fly, Crow-Armstrong mashed his three-run homer for a 5-0 Cubs lead. Senga heard plenty of boos as he trudged off the mound when the inning was finally over.
-Walks have helped sap Senga's effectiveness all season – he entered the game having walked 6.4 per nine innings this season. Peep this to get an idea of how bad that is: José Soriano of the Angels has the worst walk rate among qualified pitchers (4.5), but it's nearly two walks fewer than Senga. Senga was not a good matchup for the Cubs, whose hitters owned MLB's highest walk rate entering the game, and he finished his brief outing with five walks and a hit batter.
-Senga threw 31 pitches in the second inning alone, which meant he was never going to pitch too deep into the game. He didn't, getting just 11 outs and leaving to more boos with two out and one on in the fourth inning and the Mets trailing, 7-2. In all, Senga allowed three hits and seven runs, including a two-run homer by Swanson, in 3.2 innings. He struck out six and threw 98 pitches (58 strikes). His season ERA ballooned to 10.08. In the two starts since he returned to the Met rotation, he's allowed 11 runs in 7.2 innings, a 12.91 ERA.
