Smartphone component demand carried the print, and executives struck a confident tone about content growth across cameras, batteries and power circuits. But that optimism sat next to a quieter admission: the company's PC segment outlook for fiscal 2027 just got smaller, and the reasons behind that cut matter for anyone weighing this stock's next chapter.
High-performance mixed-signal revenue climbed 26% year over year to $210.7 million, as Cirrus Logic expanded its footprint across camera, battery, and power applications inside smartphones. CEO John Forsyth pointed to a multi-generation collaboration with the company's largest customer on camera controllers, plus continued work on a Smart Power IC for 3D sensing that stayed on schedule through the quarter. On the PC side, a new low-power smart codec built for always-on wake word detection drew strong customer interest, and products using Nvidia's RTX Spark platform are expected to ship later in 2026 carrying Cirrus Logic amplifiers and codecs. A fresh wafer supply agreement with GlobalFoundries locks in capacity and pricing through calendar 2028 and advances a shift toward domestic manufacturing in Malta, New York. Underneath it all sits $1.2 billion in cash and investments, no debt, and $598.6 million in trailing 12-month operating cash flow, funding $34.5 million in share buybacks during the quarter and another $50.5 million afterward.
The company trimmed its fiscal 2027 PC segment outlook, and Forsyth laid out three specific culprits: constrained supply of a key industry platform, memory and component shortages pressuring pricing across the PC market, and OEMs responding by delaying new model launches and stretching the life of older platforms. A 17-year-old North Carolina girl who recorded a livestream of a shooting that killed three people at a San Diego mosque and disseminated the attackers' white-supremacist writings has been charged with murder by aiding and abetting, a district attorney said Monday.
Forsyth County District Attorney Jim O'Neill said at a news conference in Winston-Salem that the girl, whose name was not mentioned during the news conference, was arrested last week. On Monday, just before she was due to begin the school year, a grand jury indicted her on three counts of murder and one count of conspiracy.
Under North Carolina law, the aiding-and-abetting charges carry the same penalties as if the girl had committed the attack herself, O'Neill said.

Three years after the 2023 NFL draft, CBS Sports has re-graded each team's draft class. And it's not looking so good for the Denver Broncos.
The 2023 NFL draft was the only one performed by former coach Nathaniel Hackett, and the first by current Broncos general manager George Paton. Denver's 2023 draft was a little light, after the team traded its first-round pick and a second-round pick to the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for quarterback Russell Wilson.
"(The Broncos) had five picks in the draft and all five are still with the team," Pete Prisco of CBS Sports wrote. "The best pick was corner Riley Moss in the third. They also got receiver Marvin Mims in the second, trading up to take him. If only they hadn't made the trade for Wilson." Prisco originally gave the team a B- for their haul.
Although all five players from the draft are still with Denver, some of their careers have gone off in very different directions.
Of the lot, Mims, Moss and center Alex Forsyth have had the most success for the Broncos. Drew Sanders has been limited due to injury, and JL Skinner is a constant special teams player. Prisco gave the Broncos a C now, after looking back at the class.

The Mount Vernon Mountaineers hosted Forsythe, McDonald County and Strattford high schools to kick off the 2026 football season with exhibition play on Friday night.
Each school got a chance to play against one another, taking turns on both offense and defense. While there were highlights on both sides of the ball for all schools, hosting Head Coach Tom ****** feels like a jamboree is a great way to start the season.
"It's real important to see different schemes, different abilities, different types and styles of coaching and playing," he said. "It helps us getting ready for the long season."
Cox's Mountaineers showed promise with several offensive touchdowns and multiple forced turnovers. They start their 2026 season with a matchup against a Nevada Tigers team that finished the 2025 season 8-4.
McDonald County High School starred in the jamboree as well, using its quarterbacks to rush for long touchdowns on multiple occasions. The Mustangs open up their 2026 schedule with a visit to Marshfield.

Crusaders claimed their first points of the Irish Premiership season as they came from behind to beat Ballymena United 2-1 at Seaview.
Ballymena took the lead from the first meaningful attack of the game on 10 minutes after the hosts failed to clear the ball inside their penalty area.

Monday's session at Carolina Panthers training camp was headlined by yet another summertime scuffle.
The fight apparently started with safeties Nick Scott and Lathan Ransom targeting running back Jonathon Brooks for a physical shot, which upset several offensive players—namely center Luke Fortner, backup tackle Stone Forsythe and starting quarterback Bryce Young. Veteran cornerback Mike Jackson came to the defense of Carolina's safeties and their aggressive instincts, and he got into some jawing with Young.
Afterwards, head coach Dave Canales claimed to have no problem with the fight, and that he wants to encourage his players to be physical . . . because, after all, it's football.
Defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero shares the same sentiment.

Five months after initially hitting free agency in March, veteran center Sam Mustipher has signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to the NFL's transaction wire. Jacksonville will mark the 29-year-old lineman's sixth NFL club.
Mustipher was called on late in the 2025 season and again in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs after the Broncos had multiple injuries at the position. Luke Wattenberg is currently nursing an injury, but he's set to start in 2026 with Alex Forsyth, Michael Deiter, Gavin Ortega and Calvin Throckmorton providing depth behind him this summer.
With Mustipher back on an NFL roster, only Denver's six ex-practice squad players whose contracts expired in March remain street free agents.

First, the good news: After sitting out practice on Friday and Saturday, Broncos outside linebacker Drew Sanders (undisclosed) and rookie wide receiver Joseph Manjack (back) returned to practice on Monday following the team's day off on Sunday.
Now, the concerning news: Denver center Luke Wattenberg "went down hard" during a one-on-one drill and did not return. Alex Forsyth filled in at center after Wattenberg left practice. When asked about Wattenberg after practice, coach Sean Payton said the team will evaluate him, but he thinks "he'll be fine." Hopefully that's a good sign for the team's starting center.
Elsewhere on the injury front, Broncos outside linebacker Dondrea Tillman worked on a side field with a wrap on his leg and tight end Caleb Lohner (knee) also remains sidelined. Lohner, who was already on the roster bubble going into training camp, will likely need to get back on the field sooner rather than later if he's going to have a good chance of making the squad this summer.
