During the New York Yankees 16-1 win over the Boston Red Sox on Sunday, WEEI radio's Red Sox play-by-play man Will Flemming made some alarming comments about Jazz Chisholm Jr.
Chisholm stole two bases in the eighth inning with the Yankees holding on to a six-run lead. He proceeded to call Chisholm a bush league player and said he does not play the game the right way. He also said that pitcher Jovani Morán should intentionally hit Austin Wells, who was at the plate, in retaliation for Chisholm stealing. Yankees players and fans were rightfully upset, including New York Knicks star Josh Hart.
"Yo (Red Sox) your idiotic announcer got to go," Hart said on X on Monday.
Cam Schlittler, who's never shy about going on social media, later tweeted out seemingly in support of Hart's message.

Zian Flemming says he is "excited to get started" at Ipswich Town after making the switch from Burnley on a four-year deal.
The 28-year-old forward, who is Town's 12th signing of the summer, will wear the number nine shirt.
"I am really proud to sign for Ipswich Town," Flemming said. "I played in the Premier League last season and really enjoyed my first season at the top level, competing against the best players and teams in the world, so I am delighted to now be back in there with a great club like Ipswich.
"I will give my all every time I step onto the pitch and can't wait to meet the supporters. The first game is on Friday against Liverpool, which is very soon, and I am excited to get started."
Ipswich Town manager, Gary O'Neil added: "Zian is a player who had an impressive first season in the Premier League and we are very pleased to have brought him to the club.

NEW YORK (AP) — Several New York Yankees are taking exception to comments made by Boston Red Sox radio announcer Will Flemming during a weekend series between the rivals.
Jazz Chisholm Jr. was among the players who called out Flemming on Monday after the WEEI radio announcer called the second baseman a "bush league player" for stealing two bases with the Yankees leading 7-1 in the eighth inning of Sunday's series finale.
Chisholm and several teammates also called out Flemming for suggesting Red Sox pitcher Jovani Moran retaliate by beaning Yankees catcher Austin Wells.
"They're called unwritten rules because you're not really breaking any rules," Chisholm told reporters before Monday's game against the Los Angeles Angels. "You've seen teams — actually them — do the same thing where they're pouring on runs. We didn't have nothing to say or nothing to do about it. That's just showing how unprofessional he is."
Flemming apologized on social media for what he said during the telecast.

"Since I have been receiving nonstop calls and threats, I felt like it was important to hop back on here and say: My comments during yesterday's broadcast crossed a line. I'm emotional and a fan at heart and that bled into the broadcast," he posted on X,
"I meant no disrespect to the Yankees players or organization. I could and should have used different words. These rivalry games get me fired up; I apologize for letting the emotion of the moment get the best of me."
Knicks guard Josh Hart also posted on X: "Yo redsox your idiotic announcer got to go."
With the Yankees up 7-1 in a game they won 16-1, Chisholm stole a pair of bases to get to third base.

Lille OSC have made an approach for Burnley forward Zian Flemming (28), as per a report from RMC Sport. The Ligue 1 club are looking to strengthen their attacking options before the closure of the transfer window.
Last season in 29 Premier League appearances, Flemming scored 11 goals, whilst, following the Clarets' relegation to the EFL Championship, he has scored three goals in just two games. It has been a strong start for the Dutchman, who came through the ranks at Ajax. However, it is not guaranteed that he will see out the season at Turf Moor.
A versatile forward, he could fit the bill for LOSC, who need reinforcements in this sector, especially given their lack of depth in the centre-forward position ahead of a UEFA Champions League campaign. Les Dogues have approached Burnley with the view to make a move for the Dutchman before the closure of the transfer window.

Yirer Garcia's RBI single in the 10th inning gave the Charleston RiverDogs their 1th walk-off win of the season in their 6-5 victory over the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers in 10 innings on Aug. 7 in front of 3,745 fans at Riley Park.
With the victory, the RiverDogs (59-46, 23-17 second half) evened the series at two games apiece and moved to 3-3 in extra innings.
The RiverDogs opened the game emphatically, beginning when Cooper Flemming grounded an RBI single to center to make it 1-0.
Later in the frame, Brady Marget pounded an RBI double to left and Dean Moss lined an RBI double to right to push Charleston ahead 4-0.
In the top of the fifth, Kannapolis (54-52, 22-19) responded with a five-run third to jump ahead 5-4. Charleston evened the score in the fourth when Flemming lifted a sacrifice fly to left.

ESPN has unveiled its college football commentator lineup for the 2026 season, with Tom Hart and Roy Philpott moving into expanded roles following the departures of longtime play-by-play announcers Mark Jones and Dave Flemming.
At the top for ESPN, not much has changed. Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit and Holly Rowe will return as ESPN's lead college football crew. Fowler and Herbstreit are entering their 13th year in that role for ESPN.
To pair with Fowler and Herbstreit, ESPN has hired a new lead rules ****** yst, with 22-year official Steve Shaw joining the booth. Previously, he served as the NCAA's secretary-rules editor for football and national coordinator of officials. Overall, ESPN will have four rules ****** ysts on the roster this year, with Shaw joining Matt Austin, Bill LeMonnier and Jerry McGinn.
The biggest changes involve the departures of Mark Jones and Dave Flemming.
Jones, who has long been paired with Roddy Jones, has been replaced by Tom Hart. Hart previously called SEC Network's SEC Saturday Night primetime games for the past 10 seasons. Quint Kessenich will join Hart and Jones as the sideline reporter.

Reuben: I would say (and some people might disagree with me) that Jack Clarke should leave the club, as long as Jaden Philogene stays. I think we should cash in on a player who's had a good season but is really not good enough for the top division. He was practically non-existent in our last season in the Premier League and I still think he won't be good in the top flight. He has shown some great performances, but he has been sloppy in many areas of his game.
James: Daizen Maeda from Celtic would be great. He is an all-action forward, with goals and ***** ists to his game. I would say a reluctant goodbye to Philogene. If he has designs on leaving. It isn't good to hold on to a player with those intentions.

NBA Summer League kicked during the holiday weekend. Between 4th of July cookouts, hot dog eating contests, regular season baseball and the World Cup, it's understandable if you weren't watching pre-preseason exhibitions featuring a lot of players who won't play once the regular season rolls around.
But just because it wasn't worth your time to watch it live that doesn't mean nothing notable happened. A number of notable draft picks including the second and third picks made their professional debuts. Here's how they did:
Darryn Peterson has incredibly high expectations this season. He scored 28 points in 27 minutes on 11-of-21 shooting. He made 4-of-7 three-pointers, grabbed five rebounds and had two ******* ists and two blocks to go along with a very Summer League-y eight turnovers in an overtime win over the Atlanta Hawks.
Kingston Flemmings, the eighth pick in the draft, had 14 points, nine ******* ists, four steals and just one turnover for Atlanta.
Cameron Boozer had 15 points, four rebounds and four ******* ists in 24 minutes. He made 7-of-11 shots and was 1-of-3 from three as the Memphis Grizzlies blew out the Oklahoma City Thunder, 111-74.
