Princess Diana left behind one of the world's most recognizable jewelry collections, and decades after her death, several of its most sentimental pieces continue to appear on Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle. Kate received perhaps the most famous jewel of them all: Diana's sapphire engagement ring. Meghan, meanwhile, has worn a broader **** ortment of personal pieces, including the late princess' Cartier watch and striking aquamarine **** tail ring. However, determining who received the "best" collection is not as simple as counting diamonds. Some jewels Kate wore belonged to Diana, while others remained part of the royal collection and were merely loaned to both princesses.

Diana reportedly made her wishes clear before her death in 1997.
"I would like you to allocate all my jewelry to the share to be held by my sons, so that their wives may, in due course, have it or use it," she stipulated in a letter accompanying her will, according to Vanity Fair.
The exact division between Prince William and Prince Harry has never been publicly disclosed. Nevertheless, the pieces their wives have subsequently worn offer occasional glimpses into how Diana's personal collection may have been distributed. Kate and Meghan have both used the jewels to honor the mother-in-law they never met. Their selections also reflect their different public lives: Kate regularly wears statement pieces at state occasions, while Meghan frequently incorporates Diana's more personal accessories into contemporary outfits.

Prince William and Kate Middleton dropped their eldest son, Prince George, off at Eton today. While it was a monumental day for the Wales family, it also marks a return to work from summer vacation for William and Kate. Today's outing marks a return to Eton for William, who attended the school from 1995 to 2000. Kate, meanwhile, completed her secondary studies at Marlborough College, a co-ed boarding school.
For the occasion, the Princess of Wales chose an emerald Emilia Wickstead dress and Gianvito Rossi pumps. She accesorized with a statement Laura Lombardi necklace and Cartier earrings, and carried an umbrella to stay dry as it drizzled.

DUBAI, Sept 7 (Reuters) - The United Arab Emirates is building alternative routes for its energy exports and trade to ensure they are not "held hostage" by the ongoing war between the U.S. and Iran, UAE presidential adviser Anwar Gargash said on Monday.
The conflict has had a significant impact on Gulf Arab states, including the UAE, after Tehran fired missiles at the country and attacked its oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz.
"Our energy exports will not be held hostage, nor will our trade and economic activity," Gargash told the Hili Forum in Abu Dhabi.
The UAE has been expanding port capacity along its eastern coast, as well as developing pipelines, railways and trade routes for alternative corridors, he said.
While acknowledging that relations with Iran could eventually recover, Gargash warned that rebuilding trust after the attacks could take decades.

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 1 (Reuters) - The United Nations refugee agency said on Tuesday it was not involved in Malaysia's planned repatriation of Myanmar refugees, and warned that it remains unsafe for them to return to the war-torn country.
Malaysia's Home Ministry said last week it had finalised the first phase of a voluntary repatriation programme that will see 1,476 refugees returned to Myanmar on September 29.
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim had earlier said Myanmar had agreed to repatriate 5,000 Rohingya, amid rising tensions over the refugees within local communities in Malaysia.
The UNHCR said an ongoing armed conflict and violence across Myanmar meant there could not be a safe, dignified and sustainable voluntary return of refugees.
"Under customary international law – a binding obligation on all states – no one should be sent to a country where their rights or freedoms may be at risk. Any refugee return must be voluntary, based on an informed decision, and take place in conditions of safety and dignity," it said in an emailed statement to Reuters.

A week after leaving the team to deal with "personal matters" and missing last weekend's scrimmage due to illness, according to head coach Steve Sarkisian, Texas Longhorns junior linebacker Ty'Anthony Smith is no longer with the program in news broken by Orangebloods on Friday evening.
Multiple other outlets confirmed the news.
In Anwar Richardson's report, there's a possibility that the 6'1, 214-pounder could return to the Forty Acres, but for now, the Longhorns will be without the key linebacker depth provided by Smith, who was practicing well before the illness that caused him to lose some weight.
A consensus four-star prospect ranked as the No. 350 player nationally and the No. 27 linebacker in the 247Sports Composite rankings, Smith was a late addition to the 2024 class for Texas after flipping from Texas A&M during the early signing period.
Primarily a contributor on three special teams units as a freshman, Smith appeared in all 16 games for the Longhorns, notching 16 tackles (eight solo), 1.5 tackles for loss, a half sack, and an interception in the blowout win over Florida.

Texas left tackle Trevor Goosby reportedly suffered a bone bruise in his left knee during Monday's practice, according to ESPN's Pete Thamel. The 21-year-old underwent testing on Tuesday after leaving Monday's practice with leg injury, according to Anwar Richardson of OrangeBloods.com.
The 2025 All-SEC First-team selection started all 13 games for the Longhorns at left tackle last season. He is a vital piece of the Longhorns' offensive line serving as the blind side protector for quarterback Arch Manning.
Goosby, a 6-foot-7, 325 lbs. senior, has appeared in 30 career games, starting 15. He is a projected 2027 NFL first-round draft pick.

Texas has one of the most talented rosters in college football entering the 2026 season, but it suffered a potentially significant injury in fall camp.
According to Orangebloods' Anwar Richardson, starting left tackle Trevor Goosby left practice on Monday with an apparent knee injury. 247Sports' Chip Brown reported that the injury was non-contact, but further details — including the severity — are not currently known.
Goosby was set to undergo further evaluation on Tuesday morning.
If Goosby does miss significant time this season for the Longhorns, it would be a major loss. The top returning member of Texas' offensive line, Goosby was a First Team All-SEC selection as a redshirt sophomore last season.
Goosby has appeared in 30 games for the Longhorns, starting 15 of them (including all 13 games last season). If he has to miss all or part of the season, Texas will be largely relying on unproven depth.

Texas entered preseason camp with enough talent to chase a college football national championship, but one practice exit can quickly change the calculation.
Starting left tackle Trevor Goosby left Monday's workout with an apparent knee injury, according to Orangebloods' Anwar Richardson, placing fresh attention on the most important position along the Longhorns' offensive line.
Until Texas provides a diagnosis, Goosby's health will remain one of the biggest stories surrounding Steve Sarkisian's team before the season opener against Texas State.

The countdown is on for the Prince of Wales' firstborn son, Prince George, who will be attending Eton College this September. The 13-year-old royal will become a pupil at the prestigious institution in a matter of weeks, and the private school has already started preparing for their new royal addition. Fresh photographs taken from outside the school show that new 'No photography' signs have been put up on fences outside to ensure the media and members of the public do not invade the privacy of pupils.
We know that the Prince and Princess of Wales are keen to keep Prince George, and his siblings, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, shielded from the limelight as much as possible. Although they accompany the couple on special royal occasions and a handful of engagements, privacy is very important to them and they want their children to have a relatively 'normal' upbringing.

When Prince William attended Eton College, a deal was struck with the press that they would be afforded arranged shoots with William if they left him alone the rest of the time, and this could well be a similar set-up for Prince George. The Prince of Wales has previously said that he "really enjoyed being able to go about Eton as just another student."

The 2026 Formula 1 calendar has been in a state of flux since the Middle East conflict forced the cancellation of the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix earlier this year. Now, the scramble to fill the void is reaching a climax, and a fan-favorite circuit is on the verge of an unexpected return.
According to a recent update from F1 Speed Indonesia, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has officially addressed the rumors surrounding the Sepang International Circuit. Responding to press inquiries regarding F1's request to have Malaysia replace the canceled Bahrain GP, Ibrahim confirmed that a definitive answer is imminent.
"Regarding F1, we will make an announcement on Sunday," the Prime Minister stated, setting a July 26 deadline for the decision.
This aligns with recent confirmations from Malaysia's Youth and Sports Ministry, which has been actively ***** sing the feasibility, costs, and logistics of hosting a Grand Prix at short notice.
The aggressive push for Malaysia comes after F1's initial contingency plans fell apart. Organizers had originally hoped to reschedule the Bahrain GP for early October—slotting it right between the Azerbaijan and Singapore races. However, with geopolitical tensions flaring up once again, the FIA and F1 management have been forced to abandon the Middle East makeup dates entirely.
