Andrei Iosivas entered the offseason as one of the more embattled-feeling Cincinnati Bengals players of note.
The Bengals, after all, drafted Colbie Young this year and Iosivas has some drops over the last year or so that stick heavy in the minds of fans.
But with training camp wrapping up ahead of the preseason finale, offensive coordinator Dan Pitcher has nothing but good things to say about Iosivas.
Pitcher told Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com that Iosivas "had a good camp all the way around."
That confidence in Iosivas was apparent when he was one of the first names called up at a recent practice with Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins out.

For most of Andrei Iosivas' NFL career, there has been something to prove: Prove that a wide receiver from Princeton could play in the NFL; prove that a sixth-round draft pick belonged on the field with Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins; and prove that his rare combination of size and athleticism could translate into production against NFL defensive backs.
Three years into his career with the Cincinnati Bengals, Iosivas doesn't sound particularly interested in proving anything anymore. And that may be the best indication yet of how far he's come.
"I just feel like I am flowing and I am playing," Iosivas said in a recent interview. "I'm happy about the way I approach the days. I've been focusing on how I walk into the building, how I get out to practice, and whatever happens, happens."
That's quite a change from the player Cincinnati selected with the 206th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. Iosivas arrived in Cincinnati as one of the more intriguing developmental prospects in that draft class. At 6-foot-3 and around 210 pounds, he had the physical traits, but he was making the jump from Ivy League football at Princeton to an offense featuring Joe Burrow, Chase and Higgins.
He has spent the past three seasons showing that he belongs. Iosivas played in 16 games as a rookie and caught 15 passes for 116 yards. Four of those 15 receptions went for touchdowns. His role grew substantially in 2024, when he caught 36 passes for 479 yards and six touchdowns. He followed that with 33 receptions for 435 yards and two scores in 2025.

The Cincinnati Bengals' first offensive selection during the 2026 NFL Draft, Connor Lew, was inactive vs. the Detroit Lions. After tearing his left ACL during October of 2025, the Bengals are being cautious in easing him back into full contact on a regular basis. He has been getting some first- and second-team action in camp, but the next step will be to see if he plays in one of the final two preseason games.
Colbie Young was also a fourth-round draft selection for the Bengals. He has made quite the impression so far during camp. That continued with a couple of catches versus Detroit. He finished the game with two receptions for 28 yards. He could have had a third catch, but it was knocked away on a contested catch opportunity.
Young could push Andrei Iosivas for snaps at the third receiver position throughout the season. His size, strength in his hands, and ability to generally win those contested catch situations are all standout traits.

"There's a handful of instances where they've done some really impressive things, and then there's another handful of instances where we got to finish, and that's the beauty of getting to come out here every day," Pitcher said. "And at the end of the day, the best players will play and the guys that we feel like give us the best chance to win in any given week, so a long way left before we have to make any decisions."

The Cincinnati Bengals get plenty of press surrounding their wide receiver room. With a bona fide superstar in Ja'Marr Chase and a WR1 talent like Tee Higgins playing opposite Chase, the Bengals boast a duo most teams in the league almost certainly envy.
For years, Tyler Boyd was the third receiver in the rotation during the beginning of the Joe Burrow era. Since he's moved on, Andrei Iosivas has been given the bulk of the opportunity to hold down the role of third wide receiver. After being a track star at Princeton, he has seen his fair share of snaps in the Bengals' offense.
While he hasn't reached the level that Boyd was, reports from early on in training camp say that Iosivas looks even faster as he heads into a contract year.
"He's playing with confidence, and he's playing fast. He looks really fast," offensive coordinator Dan Pitcher told Bengals.com's Geoff Hobson. "He's been fast, but he's playing really fast. A pair of Premier League clubs have set their sights on the signature of a leading member of the defensive ranks at Spanish outfit Rayo Vallecano.
This comes amid mounting interest in the services of Andrei Rațiu.
Rațiu, for his part, is fresh off a brilliant individual campaign on the books of Rayo Vallecano, which saw the Romanian international pique the attentions of a whole host of leading Spanish clubs.
Across all competitions, Rațiu took to the pitch on a hefty 50 occasions, chipping in with a goal and four **** ists from his berth at right-back along the way.
At one point, Hansi Flick's Barcelona, in turn, were even labelled as a potential landing spot for the 28-year-old.

Brandon Davies caught on with the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2013-14 season after going undrafted out of BYU and was able to make a name for himself. He played 51 games, averaged 11.3 minutes per night, and was introduced to the NBA with the Sixers in the middle of "The Process" rebuilding era.
The 6-foot-10 big man played 71 games for Philadelphia, starting six, across two seasons and averaged 3.8 points and 2.6 rebounds while shooting 41.7% from the floor. The Sixers then flipped Davies to the Brooklyn Nets in the Andrei Kirilenko deal in December of 2014 and he played seven games for the Nets before heading overseas.
Davies played 11 seasons overseas playing in various leagues, but per BasketNews, he has announced his retirement in a statement:
"This is a very sudden announcement, but after much thought, I have decided to retire from professional basketball," Davies said in an official statement.
Davies was set to play for Alvark Tokyo in ****** an, but will retire at 34 years old.

Kevin Holland thinks age is just a number. Fight miles? Those are perhaps a little bit more of a decision-maker.
His UFC run has been anything but traditional. Few men can say they've raised their hands more – and been called on more – than "The Trailblazer." Given his vast experience in a short amount of time, Holland (19-15 MMA, 16-12 UFC) could be close to the top of the UFC appearance leaderboard in short time.
The man who currently holds the record, Jim Miller (47 fights) is still active. Former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski (42 fights) is in second. Holland isn't sure he'll go that far. But to either tie or surpass the man in third place, Donald Cerrone? That seems attainable.
"The next fight will be the 30th UFC fight," Holland recently told MMA Junkie Radio. "After 30, I want to get to about 38. Thirty-eight is pretty good. Don't got to go to 40. So eight or nine more after the next one, then that's a wrap. I usually fight two or three times a year, not more than that. It shouldn't take long to get that done.
... For a second, it was 40. I think Donald Cerrone did 38. So why wouldn't I do 39? I didn't do it as good as him. But I did my number. I did it pretty fast, and it leaves me room to get out before I'm too old. That's a smooth-sailing victory for me. ... I'm just looking at wins and losses, overall. Wins and losses. I'm going to win the next and we'll be close to even. I think his was a little smoother and a little better. So props to Donald Cerrone. There's only one."

Of the 32 NHL teams, several front offices stand out amongst the rest. These organizations consistently make moves to put their teams in positions to contend for a Stanley Cup. Their general managers are bold, gambling and winning through free agency, trades and the NHL Draft.
It should be no surprise that these teams are the cream of the crop in the current NHL. Some of these teams also have a leg up in attracting free agents due to state income tax laws, weather or the fun of the city.
But success, whether through skill or luck, and being born on third base, are part of life, and thus part of hockey. It’s impossible to exclude these factors. In this sense, sports have never been fair. But this list will be as fair as it gets.
The Hurricanes made a number of moves in the past 15 years that set them up for long-term success. They drafted Jaccob Slavin, a defensive cornerstone, in the fourth round of the 2012 NHL Draft. They drafted a steal in Sebastian Aho in the second round of the 2015 NHL Draft. Then they selected Andrei Svechnikov and Seth Jarvis in 2018 and 2020, respectively.
Arguably, their best decision was signing Rod Brind’Amour as their coach in 2018. They haven’t missed the playoffs since and have one Stanley Cup from this year to show for it. Brind’Amour has them use an aggressive forecheck and pepper the opposing goalie with shots, a playstyle that has proven effective 90% of the time.

The Cincinnati Bengals hit the offseason with a rather quiet need at wideout.
Sounds weird to outsiders, given the presence of Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins on the depth chart, no doubt.
But third wideout was an issue. The team confirmed as much by using a draft pick on Colbie Young, who can double as a Higgins-like boundary player and perhaps more.
But based on Joe Burrow’s recent comments, it might be best not to count out Andrei Iosivas just yet.
"Andrei looks great this year. Andrei looks unbelievable. He looks big, strong, fast," Burrow said, according to Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com. "He made a couple of really nice contested catches in the spring this year in our limited reps. That's a big area of emphasis for him. That was exciting to see. He's going to continue to improve there, but he looks just like he's playing with so much confidence, confidence in his role, confidence in the offense, and his ability."

Moscow has come under the largest Ukrainian attack since the start of the full-scale war, with close to 200 drones hitting targets around the Russian capital and setting columns of thick smoke billowing high into the sky.
Seventeen people were wounded in the Moscow region, according to local governor Andrei Vorobyov.
Almost 1,000 drones and four Ukrainian cruise missiles were intercepted and destroyed across the country in 24 hours, Russia's defence ministry was quoted as saying. An oil depot was struck in the southern Rostov region, where one person was killed.
Volodymyr Zelensky said Kyiv had once again hit the Moscow region with "long-range sanctions" - a euphemism for Ukrainian long-distance strikes on Russia.
"It's time to end this war, and Russia must take the necessary steps in diplomacy," he added.

The Carolina Hurricanes beat the Vegas Golden Knights 3-0 to capture the NHL's Stanley Cup on Sunday, ending a 20-year wait for their second crown.
Taylor Hall, Jackson Blake and Nikolaj Ehlers scored and goalie Brandon Bussi made 22 saves for Carolina, who completed a 4-2 series triumph in Las Vegas in the best-of-seven Stanley Cup Final, two decades after their 2006 victory.
With the end in sight in a series that saw multi-goal deficits erased in each of the first four games, the Hurricanes' suffocating defense gave the Golden Knights precious few opportunities.
Carolina seized the initiative as Hall scored at 3:47 of the first period, ripping a shot over the glove of Vegas goalie Carter Hart.
Carolina kept the pressure on and Hart had to make a diving save on a shot from Andrei Svechnikov after Hart was caught out of position behind the net late in a Hurricanes power play.

Andrei Vasilevskiy Vezina Trophy win from the 2025-26 season is a tremendous accomplishment. He knocked off the likes of Ilya Sorokin and Jeremy Swayman, who each joined Vasilevskiy in the top three of voting for this year’s award. Let’s discuss the significance of Vasilevskiy’s honour from this past season.

It is starting to get to the point that Vasilevskiy will go as one of the best goaltenders of his generation. Perhaps Sergei Bobrovsky is a bit of a comparison, in that he has sustained a high level of play, for a long stretch of time. Bobrovsky won his first of two Vezinas, way back in 2013, and didn’t add Stanley Cups to his hardware case until 2024. Vasilevskiy has the two Lord Stanley Cup championships to his credit.
If we go back to the 2017-18 season, that is the span of nine NHL seasons now, Vasilevskiy has led the NHL in wins an incredible six times. Even with the shortened seasons of the COVID-impacted years, he has managed a string of nine consecutive, 30-win campaigns during the stretch is he currently on. Those nine seasons of 30 wins, tie him with Ed Belfour and Marc-Andre Fleury for the fourth-most, 30-win seasons by an NHL goalie, ever. In 2025-26, his 39 wins did lead the NHL in that category.
The 30-win-consecutive season streak is a bit complicated, as Patrick Roy won 31-or-more games in every season from 1991-92, through to his last year in 2002-03, save for the lockout shortened 1994-95. Furthermore, King Henrik Lundqvist won 30-or-more games from his rookie year 2005-06 until 2016-17, except for the reduced schedule of 2012-13. However, that season he actually led the NHL in wins with 24.
