Alex Dougherty has said, "Social media saved me."
He's the oldest of 11 kids and part of one of the most popular families on the internet, known as the Dougherty Dozen by their 7.8 million TikTok followers.
Like many people, his mom, Alicia, joined TikTok during the COVID-19 pandemic. She began posting about their extra-large family in 2020, when Alex was 14.
The appeal is simple: Viewers want to see what raising so many children is like, from the everyday to the extraordinary challenges. Seven of the Dougherty kids are adopted, and six have been diagnosed with fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD). Over time, viewers have gotten to know each kid as they grow up.

The Cincinnati Enquirer once again is offering a new weekly feature recognizing the accomplishments of cheerleaders, dance team members and their squads: The Spirit Award.
Much like the popular athlete of the week voting, school fans and friends voted on two weekly ballots (individual and team) for The Spirit Award. Only coaches can provide nominations each week, either for their squads or other teams.
Eligible are varsity girls and boys cheerleaders and dancers who exemplify the fruits of the spirit ‒ love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control – while uplifting their squads, the student body and others. Team nominations focus on squads that come together to help each other, work hard, do things right that week, show outstanding virtues when dealing with or serving others, exceed expectations to prepare something special for the school or take part in any other honorable reason they might be acknowledged.
This week's Spirit Award winners are:
"She is an outstanding example of leadership, character, and service within our school community. Scarlett is our varsity cheer captain and sole senior cheerleader, and she has embraced that role with maturity, selflessness, and a genuine desire to make those around her better," wrote her coach, Alicia Wall, in an email to The Enquirer.

Big Tigger won't be being prosecuted on aggravated battery and third-degree child cruelty charges, ending the criminal case involving his wife, Alicia Brown.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the Fulton County District Attorney's Office has decided not to move forward with charges against Tigger, whose legal name is Darian Morgan.
The charges traced back to a May 9 incident at the couple's Sandy Springs home on Jett Ferry Road. According to the arrest affidavit, a dispute over text messages between Morgan and a female co-worker escalated over the course of several weeks before turning physical.
Brown alleged that Morgan tackled her to the floor during an argument and later grabbed her arms and shoved her toward an exit, causing her to stumble headfirst into an office door and suffer a deep cut above her left eye.

Music legend Dolly Parton spent decades as one of country music's most beloved icons, but a new report claims that image never won over longtime Vogue editor Anna Wintour, who reportedly turned her away from the magazine's cover multiple times. Parton, 80, died on August 25 in Nashville following a brief battle with cancer.
In the Saturday, September 5 edition of journalist Rob Shuter's Naughty But Nice Substack, sources claimed Parton was pitched for the cover of American Vogue at least four times during Wintour's decades at the magazine and was repeatedly turned down.
Stacie Huckeba/Butterfly Records LLC
"Anna thought Dolly was too country, too camp and too tacky for Vogue," an insider told Naughty But Nice. "She looked at Dolly and saw rhinestones. The rest of America saw an icon. Anna completely missed it."
Shuter, who previously worked as a publicist, also wrote that he witnessed Wintour's approach to celebrity fashion firsthand. According to his account, Jessica Simpson, Alicia Keys and Jennifer Lopez also faced resistance before gaining greater acceptance within the fashion world.

There are performances that deserve applause, and others for which even a standing ovation falls short. That was the level of the symphony Natalia Mauleón conducted on the field at Estadio Jalisco, leading and executing the red-and-white attack in the 0-4 win over Atlas in the Clásico Tapatío.
Wearing No. 14, the Michoacán native hit the ground running in the fold as a signing for this Apertura 2026. Mauleón had already shown glimpses of her quality in her first appearances, but what she did last night was simply extraordinary.
Starting as an attacking midfielder, she supported Alicia Cervantes and Denise Castro in the Rebaño's attack, with width provided by Joseline Montoya and Jasmine Casarez down the flanks. From that advanced midfield role, thanks to the peripheral vision with which she reads moments, ****** es, and movements, 'Mau' became the undisputed focal point of the match, as every Guadalajara goal went through her feet.
On the first goal, she orchestrated the high press by staying close to the ball at all times so that, after Eva González won it back, a quick touch on the reception opened the inside lane for 'Jas' to burst through and finish for the goal.
The second goal was just as brilliant: it was Natalia herself who once again started the press, winning the ball in the final third and creating a textbook 3-on-2 at the edge of the box. Patiently, she waited for Denise to drift wide before slipping the ball to her at the perfect moment, leaving her to bury it first time.

Marc Casado has left Barcelona for a season-long loan at Deportivo and admits it's tough to leave the Camp Nou.
The 22-year-old had been deemed surplus to requirements at Barcelona but did not manage to complete a transfer away from the club until deadline-day.
Casado has been quizzed about the transfer after being met at the airport by reporters and answered "You never know" when asked about a possible return to Barcelona.
He was also asked if he was upset to be leaving and replied: "Taking a year off from playing at Barça is tough, but I'm excited. I'm not leaving upset; I've already talked it over with the club, and we all have things to improve."
Casado will now spend the season in Galicia and says Deportivo, who are back in La Liga this season, are "building a really solid project, with a lot of drive."

Alicia Keys looked phenomenal in bikini-clad photos she shared documenting her summer with her husband, Swizz Beatz, and their kids.
The 45-year-old displayed her curves in a leopard-print bikini top and loose striped pants while posing inside an opulent room that perfectly matched her summer ensemble.
Another photo showed a makeup-free Alicia in a patterned bikini top, this time pairing her look with a tiered black maxi skirt that flashed a hint of her stomach.
A third image featured the Grammy winner soaking up the sun on a boat, wearing a white-and-blue two-piece with a blue cover-up.
Several other photos captured her children, date nights with her husband, and outings with friends.

Real Madrid's trip to Galicia for the Teresa Herrera Trophy will take place against a backdrop of growing tension at Deportivo La Coruña, reports Mundo Deportivo.
The Federation of Deportivo Supporters' Clubs, Old Faces and Riazor Blues have called on Deportivo supporters to stay away from the stadium for the clash with Real Madrid.
The groups are protesting against the conditions imposed on season-ticket holders in the Lower Marathon stand, which they believe are "discriminatory" and "unfair".
The supporters' groups want the Deportivo board to reconsider the measures affecting fans in the Lower Marathon section.
They argue that the club has moved too far away from the identity and traditions that have traditionally connected Deportivo with its supporters.

A pair of Spanish clubs have on Tuesday closed a loan agreement for the season ahead. This comes amid confirmation that Carlos Domínguez has swapped Celta Vigo for Real Oviedo.
Stopper Domínguez is for his part a product of the academy setup at the aforementioned Celta, a club with whom he has spent the entirety of his playing career to date.
After building a solid reputation for himself at senior level over the years prior, however, last season, the 25-year-old was forced to contend with a major drop-off in prominence in Galicia.
All told, Domínguez was afforded just eight appearances across the length of the La Liga campaign.
Speculation had therefore begun to mount over recent weeks that the central defender could be farmed out on loan by Celta Vigo, to secure more regular playing time in 2026/27.

Real Madrid will play their penultimate pre-season friendly of the summer tomorrow when they take on Deportivo La Coruna in the Teresa Herrera Trophy match.
The Merengues will lock horns with the newly-promoted La Liga club at Estadio Riazon, returning to the Teresa Herrera Trophy after 13 years.
Ahead of the trip to Galicia for the friendly tomorrow, manager Jose Mourinho has announced the squad list of Real Madrid players who will be at his disposal for the match.
And, in what comes as a bit of a surprise, new summer signing Yan Diomande has not been called up for the trip.
After his arrival last week, the Ivorian winger, who cost €140 million including add-ons, was left out for the friendly against Ferencvaros, and it was widely expected that the 19-year-old would make his debut against Deportivo.

Wisconsin's 2026-27 women's basketball roster is official, and the first thing that stands out is how guard-heavy it looks.
The Badgers list 14 players, with 12 of them being guards, plus one forward and one center. For a program under Robin Pingeton, that kind of roster suggests the summer is about sorting out pace, ******* ing, and ball-handling, not about wondering who can bring the ball up the floor.
The roster also shows how wide Wisconsin's recruiting footprint has become. The group includes players from five different states, as well as those from Spain, Croatia and Belgium.
Coach Pingeton has created a wide-ranging roster with a mix that gives the Badgers more options, but it also means chemistry will matter from the start. This team needs to hit the ground running if they want to build on what was a step in the right direction last season.
Wisconsin's class breakdown is just as notable. The roster page lists four freshmen, three sophomores, two juniors, three seniors, and two graduate players. That balance gives Pingeton a chance to lean on older guards while freshmen like Giselle Janowski, Adaline Sheplee, Leah Nordin, and Alicia Courthiau get their first taste of the Big Ten.

Amadou Onana’s World Cup is over. Worse still, his season is in tatters before it even began. The Belgium midfielder snapped his anterior cruciate ligament during a brutal knockout clash against the United States, leaving Unai Emery with a massive, gaping hole in the center of his pitch. Villa are returning to Europe’s elite tier, and they need a physical anchor right now.
VIGO, SPAIN – MAY 23: Ilaix Moriba of Celta Vigo celebrates scoring his team’s first goal with teammate Sergio Carreira during the LaLiga EA Sports match between RC Celta de Vigo and Sevilla FC at Estadio Abanca-Balaidos on May 23, 2026 in Vigo, Spain. (Photo by Diogo Cardoso/Getty Images)
Naturally, the rumor mill is already spinning. Spanish newspaper Faro de Vigo, via Sport Witness, claims that this sudden injury has forced Villa to look closely at Celta Vigo’s Ilaix Moriba. It makes sense on paper. The 24-year-old former Barcelona prospect matches the physical profile of the sidelined Belgian. Look closer at the actual report, though. There is zero evidence of fresh contact or concrete negotiations. It looks very much like a rehashed version of old transfer market links rather than a deal that is actually moving quickly.
Moriba did manage to rebuild his stalling career in La Liga last year after a terrible time with RB Leipzig. He played 36 league games and scored twice for Celta Vigo during the 2025/26 campaign. The Galician club paid £5.2m to sign him permanently last summer, locking him down until 2029.
He has decent numbers. Yet, he completely lacks the elite defensive presence needed to protect a Premier League backline. 152 defensive contributions across an entire season is a poor return. He disappeared in high-stakes matches. He handles discipline poorly too, picking up eight yellow cards last term.

The crowd in this packed local Santa Ana Bistro is on its feet. Some wave Mexican flags. Others sing through the disappointment. Soon the room breaks into Cielito Lindo - Canta y no llores... sing, don't cry.
"This is sad," Louie Leyla tells me. The Mexican-American has lived in California since 1990. "But we're going to keep rooting for our people, no matter what."
England may have ended Mexico's World Cup, beating them 3-2 in the Azteca Stadium. But here, it does not feel like the end of the story.
For this football-loving community on the west coast of the United States, the tournament has been a triumph. Mexico exceeded expectations, united supporters across Southern California and, for weeks, gave fans something to celebrate.
"It's a loss," Alicia Rojas tells me. "But it's a win for our community in Santa Ana."

LONDON (AP) — Wimbledon's strict rules about all-white clothing didn't prevent Naomi Osaka from making another fashion statement as she walked onto the grass at the All England Club on Monday.
Osaka, who has made a habit of creating a buzz with her creative outfits at recent Grand Slam tournaments, wore a flowing kimono-like robe with swinging sleeves and elaborate embroidery as she walked onto No. 3 Court for her first-round match against Elsa Jacquemot.
The ******* anese player's latest creation drew a rave reaction from the crowd, many of whom were eagerly waiting with their phones aloft to record her entrance. One female fan shouted “C'mon queen!” as Osaka walked out.
“It’s something that we’ve been waiting for all day, right, what Naomi Osaka is going to appear in at Wimbledon," said Alicia Molik, the former top-10 ranked player who is doing commentary for the BBC. “A bit of inspiration from, perhaps, a bygone era as well.”
Osaka kept her robe on as she bounced on her toes at the net while listening to instructions from the chair umpire. She then removed it and placed it on her chair to begin warmups before the match started.

The former BET host faces aggravated battery and child cruelty charges as an ongoing legal matter involving his wife continues.
Former BET "Rap City" host and longtime radio personality Big Tigger was arrested in Georgia over Father's Day weekend.
According to TMZ, the 53-year-old, whose real name is Darian Morgan, was booked into the Fulton County Jail on charges of aggravated battery and cruelty to children on Saturday (June 20). He bonded out that same day after posting surety bonds totaling $10,000, with the majority of the amount tied to the aggravated battery charge.
The news of Tigger's arrest comes two weeks after he was named as the lead suspect in a domestic abuse case involving his wife, Alicia Brown. While she issued a statement clarifying that she did not call her husband "an abuser," the case remains ongoing. Tigger then spent four days away from his morning show on Atlanta's V-103 before returning on June 12 to deny allegations that he ever abused Brown, nor did he have an affair with his co-host, Franchesca Amiker.
"Over the past several days, there has been significant public discussion and speculation regarding my personal life," Tigger said in a statement at the time. "I understand this can happen when you are a public figure, and I appreciate the support and concern that so many people have shown. … It's important to clarify that Francesca and I have never been anything more than friends and respected colleagues."

Radio host Big Tigger's wife, Alicia Brown, has issued a statement responding to reports of a domestic dispute investigation involving the married couple.
"I have never called my husband an abuser," Brown said in a statement, as shared by The Breakfast Club's Loren LoRosa on X. "Social media has drawn its own conclusions from information that was shared, but those conclusions are not statements I have made. I respect the legal process and believe law enforcement should be allowed to do its job without interference from anyone, including me."
She added that she understands that people will come to their own conclusions based on reports of the investigation, but she remains "confident" that the facts of the case will be made public when the time is right. "I love my family and I will not engage in public debates, speculation, or personal attacks and bitterness," she added. "I am not hiding, and I stand firmly by my character and integrity. I respectfully ask for patience as I follow the guidance of my legal counsel and allow the process to unfold."

Washington Mystics head coach Sydney Johnson entered Saturday’s road trip to Atlanta looking to build on a momentum-shifting 90-72 win over the Chicago Sky earlier in the week. The Mystics were chasing their first back-to-back wins of the season. Instead, the night ended with Johnson at the center of one of the most talked-about moments in the WNBA this year. What happened next stopped the entire game.
At the 3:52 mark of the third quarter, Johnson got into a heated exchange with the officiating crew. His outburst followed a foul call on Mystics guard Alicia Florez Getino after the rookie challenged Dream star Angel Reese’s layup attempt. Several Washington staff members stepped in to hold him back as he gave the crew an earful.
Forward Kiki Iriafen also rushed over to calm her coach down. He received two technical fouls and was ejected. As he walked off the court, he continued to go at officials, leading to a police escort. Three police officers came out to walk with Johnson, who at that point calmly left the court.
Postgame, Johnson kept it short. Said Johnson: “I lost my cool. There’s nothing more than that. That’s it. Officials did what was appropriate, and that’s all I can say.”
Iriafen, who led Washington with 24 points, defended her coach. Said Iriafen: “Coach always has our back. He’s going to do whatever to protect us. I was just trying my best to kind of diffuse it.”
