The FedEx Cup Fall is here.
The 2026 Biltmore Championship, a new PGA Tour event in Asheville, North Carolina, kicks off Thursday. The Presidents Cup is set for next week outside of Chicago, but the first Tour event since the season-ending Tour Championship is up. The Cliffs at Walnut Grove will host the tournament. The layout is a par-71 measuring 7,249 yards.
Being a fall event, the purse is significantly smaller than most events from the regular season. The biggest name initially in the field, Justin Thomas, withdrew Sunday, too, but there are other notables set to take on the Biltmore.
Here's a look at the purse and prize money payouts for the 2026 Biltmore Championship, where $5 million is up for grabs in Asheville, North Carolina.
More: PGA Tour fall schedule includes 8 events, international competition, silly season

The FedExCup Fall series tees off at the The Cliffs at Walnut Cove next week as the PGA Tour's inaugural Biltmore Championship Asheville features plenty of big names.
The Blue Ridge Mountains will serve as a backdrop for U.S. Presidents Cup players Justin Thomas, Jacob Bridgeman and Jackson Koivun, who will be tuning up their games ahead of Medinah after getting the nod from captain Brandt Snedeker earlier in the month.
Also in the field are Billy Horschel and Lucas Glover, players No. 100 and No. 101 in the FedExCup points with less than a dozen events left to play this year. Those who sit inside the top 100 secure Tour cards for 2027, while players ranked 101st through 125th earn conditional status.
Following a couple weeks off, the Tour's action returns with plenty at stake, including a $5 million purse. Here's who else will be teeing off in Arden, North Carolina, next week.

Most college golfers spend four years grinding on the mini-tours, hoping for a single shot at the big leagues. Tyler Jones just got that shot without waiting a single day. The reigning Southern Conference Men's Golfer of the Year has secured a sponsor exemption to the PGA Tour's inaugural Biltmore Championship. This marks a historic moment for Western Carolina University golf, as Jones becomes the first active Catamount to compete in a PGA Tour event, breaking a barrier that has stood for decades.
The details of this opportunity are specific and significant. According to the official release from catamountsports.com, Explore Asheville and Biltmore Estate granted the exemption. Three tournament victories during a breakthrough 2025-26 campaign earned Jones this spot. His standout performance came at the J.T. Poston Invitational, where he claimed an individual ***** le at the Waynesville Inn & Golf Club. Scheduled for Sept. 17-20 at The Cliffs at Walnut Cove, a Jack Nicklaus Signature Design course, the event itself is set there. For the first time since 1942, this tournament marks the PGA Tour's return to the mountains of western North Carolina. Coverage will be extensive, featuring Golf Channel, PGA TOUR LIVE on ESPN+, SiriusXM, and the PGA TOUR World Feed. Jones will also share the field with Western Carolina alumnus J.T. Poston, a four-time PGA Tour winner. That connection creates a full-circle moment for the program as it rises on the national stage.
The emotional weight of this achievement is clear in the words of the program leadership. Head coach Tim Eckberg, who is also an alumnus, spoke directly to the significance of the moment. "This is a massive day for Tyler and for Catamount golf," Eckberg said. He added that the opportunity fills him with pride, noting that the success stems from what J.T. Poston has accomplished and the hard work the current young men continue to put in. The coach emphasized that the program is finally being recognized for opportunities that were previously out of reach. Eckberg also highlighted the broader impact on the student-athlete. "He represents WCU exceptionally well as a student-athlete," the coach stated. "Tyler is an incredible talent, and he showed that throughout last season," Eckberg noted, adding that "His game is ready for this next challenge." The program also extended gratitude to the sponsors who made this possible. "A huge thank you goes to Biltmore and Explore Asheville for believing in Tyler and our program," the coach said. This support validates the years of development within the Catamount system.
From an insider perspective, this exemption signals a shift in how the Tour integrates local talent with regional events. The Biltmore Championship Asheville is designed to bridge the gap between the collegiate level and the professional tour in a specific geographic market. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are reportedly set to settle down in Ohio. The couple has purchased a $5.3 million lakefront mansion in Bratenahl, a Cleveland suburb. They reportedly bought their property four months before their big-fat wedding at Madison Square Garden. Swift and Kelce's new home has neighbors nearby, but as per a source, this won't affect their privacy.
According to Page Six's area source, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's privacy won't be invaded at their new house despite neighbors and fans nearby. "They will have privacy," the source said. They added, "[Cleveland Cavaliers mega star] LeBron James lived here in his prime and ******* ody bothered. It's the Cleveland charm." Nevertheless, locals are excited to have the "Bad Blood" hitmaker in the neighborhood.
"Everybody would love their grandkids to spot her at Shoreby Club," the source noted in reference to a nearby yacht club. However, the question is how much time Swift and Kelce will spend at their new place. "People are excited, but they want to know if they will really spend time there," the source stated. The source also wondered if there will be star-studded parties hosted by the Grammy-Award winning singer like her 4th of July bash.
Additionally, many are curious to know what the pair are planning for the property. The source called the mansion a "modest old home" for the upscale area. Moreover, they wondered whether the pop icon and footballer would go for a major renovation to make the house their own, despite the listing calling it "extensive renovation." The lakefront home reportedly has 8 bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, and more than 21,000 square feet of living ******* e.
It underwent a yearlong renovation with almost every aspect of it replaced or restored. The transformation includes original door hardware, detailed walnut and oak carvings, cut glass leaded windows, and numerous fireplaces. Moreover, the third floor and lower level boast a game room and home theater in the original ballroom. The lower level also features a poker area, billiards room, temperature-controlled wine cellar and tasting room, bar, fitness center, and sauna. A stone terrace takes one to a bluestone patio and heated pool, facing the lake.

ELLISTOWN – It had been exactly one month since Walnut lost a volleyball match. East Union still hasn't.
No. 1-ranked East Union beat No. 2 Walnut 3-1 Tuesday in a battle of Class 2A ******* le contenders. The Urchins are now 20-0.
"I don't think about it. I don't," East Union coach Josh Blythe said. "Next game, practice, scout next team. How can we go play?"
Dating back to last season, East Union has lost only twice since Aug. 26 of 2025. Both of those losses came against Walnut, the last one in the third round of the Class 2A playoffs.
Walnut went on to win the 2A state championship. Tuesday was a little revenge, but the ultimate goal for East Union is to do what Walnut did a year ago.

One of central Ohio's top high school football teams knows it will have one of the country's top recruits for at least the first five games of the 2026 season, but senior Jamier Brown's eligibility after that remains undetermined.
A five-star wide receiver who has committed to Ohio State, Brown transferred to Big Walnut in January after playing three seasons at Huber Heights Wayne.
"[Brown] is eligible for the first five games of the season, and in early October the OHSAA will conduct a review of his status in conjunction with Big Walnut and the family to determine his eligibility for Week 6 and beyond," Tim Stried, the director of media relations for the OHSAA, said July 21.

During track and field in the spring, Brown was ruled eligible for the entire season after the OHSAA determined he met one of its transfer exceptions. The OHSAA said it doesn't provide details of exceptions.
