Liverpool are close to confirming a major transfer.
The Reds are making big alterations in the squad - with a winger or two hopefully arriving at anfield before the transfer deadline.
The focus right now however is on outgoings. And the club are close to finalising a £30m deal which will see Curtis Jones join Italian champions Inter Milan.
News broke on Wednesday that the Nerazzurri had finally reached an agreement to sign the 25-year-old.

Arsenal are looking into whether a deal for Juventus' Kenan Yildiz is possible in this window, as Mikel Arteta seeks to complete his transfer plans for an **** ault on both the Champions League and Premier League for the new season.
The Basque has long identified the left side attack as a priority position to upgrade, with Real Madrid's Vinicius Jr having been the ideal target. The Brazilian's decision to stay at the Bernabeu caused **** nal to reconsider the situation, and some thought has been given to waiting until either January or next summer when other deals could become possible.
The club would probably have moved for Bournemouth's Jan Kroupi had it not been for his injury, and that does represent an option for January.
Yildiz has nevertheless been high up on their list of targets, with Arteta especially keen on the Turkish international. The fact he is 21 years old would also represent a shift back to signing talents who can evolve, after two moves in Ezri Konsa and Bruno Guimaraes of buying players in their prime.
The **** nal hierarchy do want to ensure more outgoings, while Juventus would be hard line on a player who is one of their burgeoning talents. They would want upwards of £60m, and also have to consider fan backlash. One solution that has been raised is Gabriel Martinelli potentially going the other way, but that would still require considerable negotiation.

Liverpool's worst period of transfer business will be sealed should a £52m+ deal go through. Now we just wait.
Liverpool did something crazy after winning the Premier League in 2025. They decided to overhaul the squad at great expense, moving players on and bringing several in.
The incomings would cost over £400m all-in, offset by around £200m in outgoings. And there were many, many outgoings.
In hindsight, though, those outgoings were terrible. Or at least, most of them were. It's something now underlined by a potential £52m+ deal for Jarell Quansah, with ***** nal lining up a move before the end of the window (Sky Sports).
Now, the actual value of that potential deal hasn't been confirmed, primarily because Bayer Leverkusen don't wish to sell. ***** nal want to convince them otherwise, though, and plan to offer a large amount.

Liverpool are reportedly prepared to let one star walk for free. It's just crazy at this point.
Liverpool are currently figuring out what to do with their squad. This isn't the group they'll finish the transfer window with, we imagine, and both incomings and outgoings are possible.
Now, we know the World Cup pauses the domino effect seen every transfer window but Liverpool have been particularly slow this year. They haven't replaced Ibrahima Konate (and we're not sure they will), haven't decided what to do at right-back with Conor Bradley out long-term and, above all, haven't found a winger to replace Mohamed Salah.
Instead, they're working hard on a deal for Bradley Barcola, who plays on the opposite side. Genuinely, we have no idea what will happen there.

From the outside, Liverpool's failure to seal a move for Marc Guehi last summer looks even more interesting now.
They have a buyback clause with Jarell Quansah, who left for Bayer Leverkusen for £35m last July, but there are no current plans for Quansah to return.
Sources stress that if Liverpool bring in Bradley Barcola, who Paris St-Germain value in excess of £100m, then there will be limitations to what more they can do in the market.
Deals for Jeremy Jacquet and Victor Munoz have cost a combined £94.5m.
Without any major outgoings from Andoni Iraola's squad, there is an understanding that this summer will not be like last summer, when a club record £450m was spent.

Aston Villa are in advanced talks to sign Alejandro Garnacho on loan, with a potential obligation to buy.
The Argentina winger, 21, was made available for sale by Chelsea for £43m last month, but the club are open to a move that could see him leave permanently, under certain conditions, even if it initially takes the form of a loan.
It follows Chelsea agreeing a record £117m fee for Morgan Rogers from Villa on Saturday night.
Since then, both Garnacho and striker Nicolas Jackson, available for £65m, were discussed in a separate deal that would see them move in the opposite direction to Villa Park.
If finalised, Garnacho would be Villa's fourth signing in a busy summer of incomings and outgoings, after Johan Manzambi, Joao Gomes and Modou Kaba Cisse moved to the Midlands club.

Manchester United have officially announced the capture of Andrey Santos from Chelsea, while two more announcements are expected soon.
Apart from the midfielder, INEOS have also sealed deals for Karl Darlow, who is set to act as backup for Senne Lammens, and Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa.
The signing of the Belgian came as a surprise, and more could be on the way, with the Red Devils planning to add at least one more midfielder, along with a left-winger, a backup striker, and a left-back.
Alongside incomings, the club is also focused on outgoings, with Marcus Rashford expected to leave despite Michael Carrick opening the door to a possible reunion.
Noussair Mazraoui has been linked with a surprise exit in recent days, and fellow defender Lisandro Martinez is the latest name to be added to the list.

Juventus have revived their interest in Fikayo Tomori, roughly 18 months after a move for the Milan defender collapsed when the player turned it down.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, via CalcioMercato, the Bianconeri are once again weighing up the centre-back, drawn to his experience and Serie A grounding, a profile that fits Luciano Spalletti's wishes.
Any deal, however, depends on outgoings. Giovanni Carnevali's hierarchy want to lighten the squad before adding to it, and Federico Gatti is among those who could make way.
Squeezed out by Bremer and seeking more regular minutes, Gatti would command a fee that generates a healthy profit, with Napoli and moves to Turkey lingering in the background as possible routes out.

Celtic fans' patience is being tested to the limit as new signings remain conspicuous by their absence this summer.
The club released another new strip on Thursday morning - the 'stadium range' is their third kit release of the summer - and the comments from supporters on social media were predictably pointed in clamouring for fresh faces.
Interim chairman Brian Wilson's vow three weeks ago, shortly after Martin O'Neill's confirmation as permanent boss, that Celtic were primed to be "very active" with their recruitment has yet to come to pass.
There have been plenty of outgoings. All six of last season's loan recruits have left, so have out-of-contract players Kasper Schmeichel, Kelechi Iheanacho and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, while Luis Palma, Stephen Welsh and Hayato Inamura have found new clubs.
Vital players - the likes of Daizen Maeda, Arne Engels and possibly even captain Callum McGregor - could well go too.

Interest in Toulouse FC goalkeeper Guillaume Restes (21) is growing, according to a report from L'Équipe.
Restes is a highly-rated young goalkeeper, who has featured for France's U21 side, without being capped for the senior side. The Frenchman has been linked with a move away from Toulouse FC for some time, and this summer could be the time when he eventually seals a transfer away from his boyhood club.
The Frenchman is valued at €20m (minimum) by Le TéFéCé, who are open to a sale. In order to balance their books, there will have to be outgoings this summer. Charlie Cresswell, a target for Crystal Palace and Stade Rennais, is another potential candidate to leave.
Restes is notably a "serious" target for Aston Villa, according to The Athletic. However, L'Équipe now understands that they now may face competition from Ipswich Town, who last season secured promotion back to the Premier League. Serie A giants Napoli are also in discussions to sign the French goalkeeper. Toulouse are yet to receive a concrete offer.

Liverpool have made contact over one of the most in-demand Premier League players. Fabrizio Romano confirms our report.
Liverpool are in the market for a new midfielder. Maybe even more than one, depending on potential outgoings this summer.
Curtis Jones could depart, while Alexis Mac Allister has been linked with a move away, too. All of this on top of the fact that Liverpool desperately need a new midfielder even if they were to both stay.
A defence-first player in the middle feels like a must. This squad only really has Wataru Endo for that job but who knows how long he’s sticking around for?
Liverpool do seem to agree, though. Anfield Watch reported earlier this month that the Reds had inquired about West Ham United’s Matheus Fernandes - a fantastic defensive midfielder and someone we first recommended over a year ago.

Manchester City will have to sell players this summer if they are to strengthen their squad. It isn’t typical of City to stockpile players and enter a new season with a bloated squad. It now seems that the first domino in terms of outgoings at City this summer is about to fall. A new report indicates that Tottenham are edging closer to completing a deal to sign Savinho from City. If this move occurs, as expected, it will free Manchester City up to look for another winger to add to their squad for next season.
James Olley has provided an update for ESPN on Tottenham’s efforts to sign Savinho. Olley reports that a deal in the region of £60 million between Tottenham and Manchester City is advancing. Furthermore, Olley reports that Tottenham believes Savinho wants to sign for them this summer.
At this stage of proceedings, it would be a major surprise if Savinho didn’t sign for Tottenham this summer. While the Brazilian international’s talent is clear to see, he has become a frustrating figure at City. A summer move is likely the best move for him as he looks to take the next step as a player. If Savinho does leave, and the deal is concluded in a timely fashion, it will allow Manchester City to move on to finding a replacement for him in their squad.
It seems highly unlikely that Manchester City won’t sign another winger this summer. If Savinho leaves they will have to. City won’t want to enter next season a winger short. Especially after this summer’s World Cup where City have 19 players participating in thr tournament. Hugo Viana will want the Manchester City squad to have all bases covered. So the quicker that Savinho is sold, the quicker that City can move on to finding another attacking player this summer.
It now seems that Savinho is edging ever closer to moving to Tottenham. All that is left is for a suitable deal to be found, and Manchester City will likely see the first domino fall in terms of outgoing players. Manchester City’s summer business may be shaped by who leaves the club, as Savinho’s exit will likely facilitate Manchester City’s move to sign another winger this summer.
