NEW YORK – Ready or not, here she comes.
Just when you think you know Tory Burch's next move, she subverts expectations and continues her reign as one of the most interesting American designers today.
The designer brought out a cadre of stars for her New York Fashion Week show Thursday, Sept. 10, at the Sunken Garden by Isamu Noguchi in downtown Manhattan. Though far from an underground designer, Burch took her show to subterranean levels before she reached new heights with her collection and her front row, which included a fashionably timely Lauryn Hill, flanked by daughter Sara Marley and niece Kymora Marley, as well as actress Amanda Seyfried, "Saturday Night Live" alum Chloe Fineman and fashion power broker Anna Wintour.
Alex Eala, the young newcomer who dominated at the US Open until her defeat by best friend and fellow young star Iva Jovic, also joined along with emerging talent Ravyn Lenae and established celebrities like Padma Lakshmi and director Janicza Bravo.
Hill, in oversized sunglasses and an olive-green cinched top and tiered skirt with a silk scarf draped delicately over her head, garnered camera flashes from every angle. Perched atop her lap (and on the arms of everyone in the front row) was Burch's newly released Bunny Knot bag, with Hill's in a ****** er yellow color with the dark knot detailing looking like polka dots.

Lauryn Hill defended her former partner Rohan Marley on Instagram after a social media influencer dubbed the businessman a "tyrant."
Last week, influencer Mayowa posted an Instagram reel breaking down the past relationship between the eight-time Grammy winner and Marley, with whom she shares five children. The exes dated from the mid-90s until roughly 2009. In Mayowa's reel, she referenced Marley marrying his second wife, Barbara Fialho. Marley, who's the son of late reggae icon Bob Marley, was previously married to Geraldine Khawly and divorced Fialho in 2020 after one year of marriage.
"I've always felt like Lauryn Hill's music felt so incredibly sad," Mayowa said, adding that it seemed like the vocalist was "trying to make up for something."
"Her music sometimes seemed self-flagellating, like she was trying to hurt herself to be deserving of love," she continued, adding that Marley "destroyed" Hill.

This one is going to be one of the more impossible opponent previews you'll see, as the ECU Pirates have nearly turned over their entire team after a nice 9-4 record last year under coach Blake Harrell. Guys like running back London Montgomery and safety Ja'Marley Riddle (two of their top players last year) have made the jump up to join the Florida Gators and Georgia Bulldogs, and even starting QB Katin Houser transferred to Illinois. Ultimately, the Pirates lost 24 players to the transfer portal, and the best I can tell, wide receiver Brock Spalding and linebacker DJ Johnson Jr. are the only returning starters on the team.
Not only was there major roster turnover for the Pirates, but they also lost both of their coordinators. Offensive coordinator John David Baker, who's taken a promotion up to be the OC for Ole Miss, was replaced with North Texas OC Jordan Davis. Davis was the OC behind the Mean Green's nation-leading 44.8 points per game offense in 2026. It was an up tempo, air raid-like offense and there's a lot of reason for ECU fans to be excited – however, Davis comes with a big caveat: he was the OC in name only, as UNT's head coach Eric Morris was actually the playcaller.
Eric Morris runs many of the same concepts he learned from being a player. He has expanded the run game using a lot more gap runs. WSU and MSST under Leach used mostly inside and outside zones with some DART (backside tackle pulls and leads) to change things up.
How much will Davis's iteration of this offense at ECU look like the Morris offense at UNT? We'll just have to see, so this will be an experience for everyone.
Defensively, the Pirates lost DC Josh Aldredge to USF, and replaced him with Memphis's DC, Jordon Hankins. Memphis was decent on defense under Hankins the last couple of years, and generally ran a 3-high safety look

Hill and Marley dated for about a decade and have five children together. Despite never marrying, the two have remained co-parents to the children, each of whom had a moment during Hill's BET Living Legend Award performance at the 2026 BET Awards.
Despite being apart for more than 15 years, Lauryn Hill will still go to bat for Rohan Marley.
Last week, Nigerian influencer Mayowa shared a reel breaking down the relationship between Fugees singer and Marley, including their split and Marley's marriage to his second wife, Barbara Fialho. Mayowa referred to Marley as a "tyrant" and wondered whether he was the reason Hill's music sounded "so sad" to her, later uploading a video of her 2001 "MTV Unplugged" performance, focusing on a clip in which Hill is visibly crying while performing.
The video caught Hill's attention and she responded in the comments.
"I might agree with some of the self-deprecation part, there are reasons for that, but while Rohan and I were in relationship I was NOT being done dirty," Hill wrote.

FRIENDSVILLE — Abington Heights had a strong showing at the Ann Marie Simons Classic girls golf tournament Tuesday.
Senior Brianna Moffatt shot a 5-over-par 75 at Tall Pines Players Club to capture the individual ******* le by one stroke over Honesdale junior Marley Reynolds. Teammates Margot Grad and Liz George each shot 82 with Grad taking third place on a match of cards.
Their efforts gave the Lady Comets the team ******* le with a score of 239. Riverside was second with 267 and Elk Lake third with 272.
George wound up winning low-senior honors, while Molly Nietz of Abington Heights was low freshman with 101. North Pocono's Julia Biko was low junior with an 86 and Hannah LaRue from Elk Lake was low sophomore with an 87.
"Coming in I felt confident they were going to do well," Abington Heights coach Ed Bath said. "They've really progressed in their games, especially with the mental part of the game; their maturity with decision-making out on the golf course and playing the golf course as it's presented to them. Just in what I could see out there, I saw some good decisions being made as golfers and executing those decisions. They all kind of shot right around their averages thus far this year, which again is indicative to that good, mental approach to golf. I think they did a great job."

The Duke and ***** ss of Sussex are planning to move back to Britain, CNN understands, a shock move that comes six years after the couple stepped back from official duties and fell out with other members of the royal family.
Prince Harry and Meghan are said to be planning to relocate from the US later this month to a private residence outside London and reportedly have enrolled their children Prince Archie, 7 and Princess Lilibet, 5, in British schools for the coming term, according to UK newspaper The Telegraph.
King Charles was first made aware of the plans to relocate on Sunday, indicating that this was not raised nor discussed during the couple's family visit to the UK in July. The King welcomes the opportunity to see more of the Sussex family in a private and personal capacity, CNN understands.
King Charles has made clear that there will be no change to the Duke and ***** ss's role as private individuals and non-working members of the royal family.

TikTok, 9:00 pm ET Amanda Serrano vs Lucrecia Manzur
From Temecula, California, for Serrano's WBO and WBA featherweight ***** les. This is a first time thing, with Jake Paul's Most Valuable Promotions putting a live card on TikTok rather than a more conventional broadcaster or streamer. Supporting action includes Jahmal Harvey, Avious Griffin against former Top Rank undercard staple Jackson Marinez, plus Keno Marley and Nelvie Tiafack.
From Hackney Wick, England, for the vacant European middleweight ***** le. Liddard already holds (held?) the British and Commonwealth ***** les at middleweight, but those obviously can't be on the line against the Italian Morello. Morello is 26-1 (4 KO), with his only pro loss coming back in 2019 by wide decision. He fights outside of his native Italy for the first time as a professional.
ON THE UNDERCARD: Maybe Liddard dropped at least one of his other belts? Jimmy Sains appears to be fighting for the now-vacant Commonwealth ***** le that Liddard defended his last time out. Emmanuel ***** igieg and PA Gordon also square off for the vacant English middleweight ***** le. So, lots of vacant domestic belts at middleweight are up for grabs on this show!
From Las Vegas, Nevada, for Romero's WBA welterweight ***** le. Romero is the champion and the A-side, thanks to his big decision win over Ryan Garcia in May of 2025 on that less-than-thrilling Times Square card. Lopez enters fresh off a January loss to Shakur Stevenson, and moves up to welterweight here for the first time. No idea how to take this one… At his best, Lopez is an aggressive fighter, and Romero's best ***** et is his power, so there could be fireworks if the lads decide to really mix it up. But both have brought yawns in recent outings and they're also quite close as friends, which generally makes for a lousy fight. Fingers crossed, I suppose. It'll cost you $79.99 as a standalone PPV, if that's how you consume your big fights these days.

MINFORD — Over the last 10 years, the Minford Falcons' girls soccer program has turned into a program that has consistently reloaded year-in and year-out — instead of rebuilt.
If Saturday afternoon's effort was any indication, Shane Tieman's club is in good shape once again.
Down 2-0 after two goals by Lily Ferguson through 29 minutes of play, Minford rallied from that deficit by getting equalizing top-shelf goals from Marley Rhodes and Makenna Enz and playing lockdown defense the rest of the distance en route to drawing Lynchburg-Clay in a 2-2 tie.
The contest, which officially kicked off the 2026-27 soccer season for Scioto County programs, was moved to Minford late Friday evening after originally being scheduled at Lynchburg. The nonconference matchup was moved due to standing water on Lynchburg-Clay's playing surface.
Tieman was impressed with how his roster of 24 played, particularly considering that Minford wasn't even able to see the pitch last week as a team.

The District Attorney's Office in Brunswick isn't prosecuting Georgia football defensive back Ja'Marley Riddle on two felony possession drug charges from a May 8 arrest, according to a state's motion obtained on Thursday by the Athens Banner-Herald.
A Nolle Prosequi was entered in the Superior Court of Glynn County on Monday July 6.
Riddle, a transfer from East Carolina, had been charged by Glynn County police with possession of marijuana of more than one ounce, possession of a schedule 1 controlled substance and misdemeanor speeding.
The Kingsland, Ga., native was alleged to have driven a Dodge Durango 90 miles per hour in 70 mile per hour zone on I-95 South.
When Riddle was stopped, the police report said an "overwhelming odor of marijuana," could be smelled from inside the vehicle.

The game "College Football 27" just released its ratings, and the Georgia Bulldogs are one of the top 10 defenses, although lower than you would think. The Bulldogs have the No. 5 defense in the game.
The four teams above Georgia aren't from the SEC, so Georgia has the best defense in the SEC. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Texas Tech Red Raiders, Indiana Hoosiers, and Oregon Ducks are above the Bulldogs. The Alabama Crimson Tide are tied with the Georgia Bulldogs for the highest defensive rating in the SEC.
Last season, Georgia had just the No. 12 defense in yards allowed per game (306.0) and points allowed per game (18.5). However, several of the highest-rated Georgia Bulldogs are on the defense.
Transfer safeties Ja'Marley Riddle and Khalil Barnes, along with defensive lineman Elijah Griffin, are rated very highly, earning 87 ratings. They also have a 95 overall K.J. Bolden, 90 overall Ellis Robinson IV, 89 overall Raylen Wilson, and 88 overall Chris Cole on the defensive side. With the returning and growing production, there's a chance Georgia becomes the best-rated defense in the league.
Their offense was treated differently. They weren't rated in the top 10, partially due to Gunner Stockton, among other Georgia Bulldogs, not being in the game. If and when Gunner Stockton joins the game, Georgia's offense should become one of the best in the game.

It's the final Saturday of June, and many Rossoneri fans are already looking ahead to the new season. Excitement for the future is growing, while the Club's rich history remains as present as ever. On 27 June 1963, Nereo Rocco brought the first great chapter of his AC Milan stint to a close with a 4-0 victory over Inter in the Trofeo Città di Milano. Eight years later, on the same date, Giovanni Trapattoni made his final appearance for the Club in the Coppa Italia Final. In 1980, 27 June became a historic night for another reason, as Bob Marley performed his legendary concert at San Siro, an event attended by countless football fans. More recently, 27 June 2024 became a landmark date in the Club's modern history, when Milan Futuro was officially admitted to Serie C. Just six weeks later came the team's first competitive fixture: a convincing 3-0 victory away to Lecco in the Serie C Coppa Italia.
Milan Futuro was created with a clear objective: to maximise the development of the Club's brightest young talents by providing them with meaningful experience in a demanding professional environment. The second team allows AC Milan to retain and nurture academy graduates, giving them regular opportunities to compete in senior footballwhilepreparing them for the demands of the first team or other top-level environments. Training methods, tactical principles and player development pathways are closely aligned with those of the senior squad, ensuring a seamless transition whenever players are called upon. The project is built around a carefully selected, streamlined group, avoiding oversized squads and guaranteeing valuable playing time for every player. It is theideal proving ground for the next generation of Rossoneri talent, including exciting young prospects such as Aurélien Guernier and Andrej Kostić.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, who split in 2016, share six children.
Daughter Zahara has now filed legal paperwork in Los Angeles Superior Court to drop Pitt's name.
She is the third sibling in the family to make such a move.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's daughter Zahara is the latest of their six children to move to drop Pitt from their last name.
Documents submitted to Los Angeles Superior Court request that her full name be changed to Zahara Marley Jolie, according to In Touch, which obtained the documents and was the first to report the news.

Ooops! Brad Pitt's broken heart about his kids may not be healing any time soon!
The actor's second-oldest child dealt a crushing blow to his emotions today as she made a decisive move in court to ditch the "Pitt" last name for the rest of her artistic and personal endeavors.
It has been snub after snub for Brad Pitt, especially from his children, since he finalized his divorce from Angelina Jolie in 2024 after eight tumultuous years of slugging it out in court since they separated in 2016.
Court documents filed in the Los Angeles Supreme Court confirmed that the 18-year-old asked a judge to accept her request that her name be legally changed from Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt to exclude the Pitt name.
Zahara's latest act kind of confirms speculations that have gone on for months, where she has discontinued the use of Pitt as a suffix. At her recent graduation, where Brad was equally absent, sources shared that the duo had no conversation about the event.
