LOS ANGELES — Blake Snell waited nearly three months for his return to the mound. Max Muncy made sure the wait ended with a win.
WALK IT OFF, MAX. pic.twitter.com/d9rYp0jp3L
Muncy delivered a walk-off single in the 10th inning, his seventh career walk-off hit, lifting the Dodgers to a 5-4 victory over the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday night in a back-and-forth game that ultimately gave the Dodgers a second straight win.
The Dodgers loaded the bases in the 10th before the Royals intentionally walked Kyle Tucker to bring Muncy to the plate with nowhere to put the go-ahead run.
Muncy, who had already collected a single, came through again.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Bryce Eldridge homered, fellow rookie Carson Whisenhunt pitched 5 2/3 innings after working out of two early bases-loaded jams and the San Francisco Giants beat the Houston Astros 4-1 on Tuesday night.
Jose Altuve was hit by a pitch from Whisenhunt (3-3) to load the bases with one out in the first. Altuve stayed in the game but did not return for the bottom of the second inning with what the team said was a left foot contusion.
Christian Walker popped out to short right field for the second out, and Nelson Velázquez grounded out to third in his first at-bat with the Astros after being claimed off waivers from the St. Louis Cardinals.
Houston loaded the bases with ****** ody out in the second, but managed only a sacrifice fly by Yordan Alvarez for a 1-0 lead.
Rafael Devers drew a walk off Hunter Brown (3-2) and took second on a wild pitch to start the bottom of the inning. Drew Gilbert's one-out single tied it.

During the August 6 episode of Mad Money, a caller asked host Jim Cramer about Honeywell Aerospace Inc. (NASDAQ:HONA) following a steep, near 28% collapse in the stock between August 4 and August 6. Cramer revealed that the Charitable Trust immediately unloaded the position at the opening bell. He stated:
It really hurt us. Both Phil LeBeau and I were stunned. Phil said three times that they could've told us that things were bad. I called the management, and I said, management called me back, and said, look, I said, listen, I think it's a very suboptimal situation.
I really don't like the situation. I think that the company should have been much more forthcoming. I think it was a rookie mistake. We sold the stock at the opening for the Charitable Trust. It is a great company, but man, they are not ready for prime time, and it was very disappointing.
The sudden plunge caught institutional investors and **** ysts off guard, landing the newly minted standalone company in Wall Street's penalty box. Honeywell Aerospace Inc. (NASDAQ:HONA) watched its shares implode after management slashed its full-year outlook following the second-quarter results.
The core catalyst behind the selloff was a severe downgrade to the corporate financial roadmap. Management aligned full-year forecasts with supply-chain capabilities, scaling back expectations across some major financial metrics. Organic growth guidance was reduced to a range of 4% to 5%, compared to previous guidance of 7% to 9%. Pro forma standalone adjusted EBIT was lowered to a range of $4.35 billion to $4.45 billion, down from earlier projections of $4.65 billion to $4.75 billion. In addition, year-over-year adjusted EBIT growth was revised to a range of flat to 3%, down from prior guidance of 7% to 10%. Persistent supply-chain constraints forced the company to prioritize original equipment manufacturer deliveries to major planemakers like Boeing and Airbus. As a result, production was diverted away from higher-revenue, higher-margin aftermarket operations, squeezing profitability right out of the gate as an independent entity.

SAN DIEGO (AP) — Luis Rengifo hit a grand slam against the Brewers seven weeks after they released him, Fernando Tatis Jr. hit a milestone homer and the San Diego Padres beat Milwaukee 11-2 on Tuesday night to win a series against baseball's best team.
Luis Campusano added a two-run homer for the Padres, who will go for a three-game sweep on Wednesday behind trade deadline acquisition Robbie Ray. The Padres lost two of three in Milwaukee in mid-May.
The Padres pulled into a tie with Philadelphia and Arizona for the third NL wild-card spot after winning their fourth straight game and 14th of 18.
Rengifo was released by the Brewers on June 23 and signed a minor league deal with the Padres six days later. He made his Padres debut on July 10.
Rengifo came to the plate with the bases loaded and two outs in the second inning after Tatis challenged a strike call that was overturned for a walk. Rengifo then hit a 1-0 fastball from Kyle Harrison (9-3) into the seats in left field for a 5-0 lead. It was his third homer of the year.

US-based investment company McIntyre Partnerships delivered flat performance in H1 2026, returning 0% gross and -1% net compared to the Russell 2000 Value Index's 23% return. A copy of the letter can be downloaded here. The second quarter results were a complete reversal of Q1 results, with the portfolio appreciating 23.0% (gross) and 23.3% (net), outperforming the index's 17.3%. The overall market surge contributed to this performance, alongside several positive developments related to the firm's holdings. Since inception, the fund has returned ~16% gross and ~12% net per annum, surpassing the benchmark's return of ~9% per annum. The portfolio is highly concentrated, with QDEL as the largest holding, creating volatility. Despite mixed results, the firm remains confident in the portfolio, particularly with QDEL viewed as a key investment opportunity. Potential for further growth is expected from several large investments with promising catalysts. In addition, you can check the Strategy's top 5 holdings to determine its best picks for 2026.
In its Q2 2026 investor letter, McIntyre Partnerships highlighted Star Holdings (NASDAQ:STHO). Star Holdings (NASDAQ:STHO) is a real estate company that engages in non-ground lease-related businesses. On August 7, 2026, Star Holdings (NASDAQ:STHO) closed at $9.64 per share. The one-month return of Star Holdings (NASDAQ:STHO) was 5.47%, and its shares gained 32.97% over the past 52 weeks. Star Holdings (NASDAQ:STHO) has a market capitalization of $116.54 million.
McIntyre Partnerships stated the following regarding Star Holdings (NASDAQ:STHO) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"2026 has been a decent year for Star Holdings (NASDAQ:STHO), with shares rallying ~14% YTD. However, it has been a substantially better fundamental year, with SAFE rallying ~20%. For perspective, based solely on SAFE's share price appreciation, STHO would have appreciated approximately 36%. Further, STHO has made significant progress in unwinding its legacy holdings. I estimate STHO's current NAV is ~$24.50, a 160% premium, and that the company will be able to return significant capital in 2027, if not sooner.
Regarding SAFE, Q2 marked STHO's best fundamental performance since we began purchasing STHO, with origination volumes returning to a four-year high and the company implementing its first share buyback, retiring ~2% of shares outstanding. Most importantly, SAFE sold a portfolio at a ~4.1% cap rate, which compares favorably to SAFE's current implied cap rate of ~5.3%. Applying a 4.1% cap rate, SAFE would be valued at $37/sh. versus its $16 trading price. While the remaining properties could warrant a lower multiple, if SAFE were to close its valuation gap, our STHO investment would benefit substantially."

Antipodes Partners published its "Antipodes Global Strategy" second-quarter 2026 investor letter, highlighting the key performance stocks, portfolio changes, and the market outlook. A copy of the letter can be downloaded here. The second quarter of 2026 delivered one of the strongest equity market recoveries in recent history, as global equities gained 14.9% in US dollar terms. Renewed enthusiasm for artificial intelligence, strong corporate earnings, and easing tensions with Iran supported the rebound, while growth stocks outperformed value and emerging markets led gains, particularly Korea and Taiwan. The Antipodes Global Value Strategy underperformed its benchmark during the quarter and over the 12 months to June 30, 2026, as returns became concentrated in a narrow group of semiconductor and hardware stocks. Consumer staples and consumer discretionary holdings supported performance, while information technology, software, and internet exposure detracted. The firm remains cautious on expensive memory companies because pricing and supply remain cyclical despite AI demand. The Strategy continues to favor valued infrastructure, specialty semiconductors, resilient software, and quality businesses. For insights into its key selections for 2026, please review the Strategy's top five holdings.
In its Q2 2026 investor letter, Antipodes Global Strategy highlighted TotalEnergies SE (NYSE:TTE). TotalEnergies SE (NYSE:TTE) is a leading energy company that produces and markets oil and biofuels, natural gas, biogas, and low-carbon hydrogen, renewables, and electricity. On August 7, 2026, TotalEnergies SE (NYSE:TTE) closed at $85.83 per share. The one-month return of TotalEnergies SE (NYSE:TTE) was 7.49%, and its shares gained 43.01% over the past 52 weeks. TotalEnergies SE (NYSE:TTE) has a market capitalization of $190.44 billion.
Antipodes Global Strategy stated the following regarding TotalEnergies SE (NYSE:TTE) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"TotalEnergies SE (NYSE:TTE) underperformed as weaker crude oil and natural gas prices reduced earnings expectations and cash-flow forecasts across the integrated energy sector in line with geopolitical tensions easing over the Quarter. Concerns over slowing global economic growth and softer fuel demand also weighed on commodity markets, while increased OPEC+ supply expectations added further pressure to oil prices. Although TotalEnergies continued to benefit from its diversified LNG, power and renewable energy portfolio, these positives were outweighed by declining upstream earnings expectations. A broader rotation away from defensive energy stocks toward higher-growth sectors and profit taking after a stronger period also contributed to weakness."

In its Q2 2026 investor letter, McIntyre Partnerships highlighted Sotera Health Company (NASDAQ:SHC). Sotera Health Company (NASDAQ:SHC) is a US-based company that provides sterilization solutions, lab testing, and advisory services for the healthcare industry. On August 7, 2026, Sotera Health Company (NASDAQ:SHC) closed at $18.86 per share, reflecting a market capitalization of $5.38 billion. Sotera Health Company (NASDAQ:SHC) posted a one-month return of 5.04%, while its shares gained 25.61% over the past 52 weeks.
McIntyre Partnerships stated the following regarding Sotera Health Company (NASDAQ:SHC) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"Sotera Health Company (NASDAQ:SHC) saw positive Q1 results, with the key Sterigenics segment continuing its return to HSD organic growth following the COVID destocking in 2023 and 2024. Further, SHC also had positive legal news regarding its Georgia litigation, where the judge threw out 5 lawsuits with reasoning that implies the remaining 450 cases are likely to be rejected as well. While I believe the judge's ruling implies current liability is sub-$50MM, I estimate a worst-case $400k per case settlement, or $180MM, even if appeals reverse the decision. This compares to SHC's 2026 EBITDA of ~$640MM. The company also saw a CEO transition, with its long-time CEO transitioning to Executive Chairman and the hiring of CEO Shader from Viant, a medical device services company where he served as CEO. We are encouraged that former CEO Petras remains on the board and intends to play an active role in ensuring a smooth transition.
Finally, and most importantly, following Q1 earnings, SHC's former private equity owners sold the last of their shares. I believe the PE firms' selling pressure, via predictable quarterly block trades, has been a considerable overhang on SHC's shares over the past year. With this overhang gone, I believe SHC is well positioned to reweight towards peers. I es

The Orioles blasted a pair of two-run homers in the first two innings against Bailey Ober to jump out to an early lead. The damage was done by Pete Alonso and Gunnar Henderson.
The Twins loaded the bases in the 2nd inning with no outs and only got one run out of it. In the top of the 3rd, Christian Encarnacion-Strand hit a solo homer to make it a 5-1 game.
In the bottom of the 3rd, Brooks Lee's 19th double scored their 2nd run of the game. Later, Alan Roden would strike out with the bases loaded to end the inning.
The final chance for the Twins came in the 8th, with Luke Keaschall and Royce Lewis getting on base. Unfortunately, Kaelen Culpepper would strike out looking to end the inning.
It was a pretty uneventful game after the 3rd inning, with the exception of Culpepper getting his first hit at Target Field in the 4th inning. Ober managed to settle down and go 6 innings, with the bullpen trio of Funderburk, Nance, and Rogers keeping the game within reach. The lineup just couldn't reach very far, or at all.

NEW YORK (AP) — Ryan McMahon and Trent Grisham each hit a two-run single in the seventh inning to send the New York Yankees past the slumping Seattle Mariners 4-1 on Tuesday night.
Ryan Weathers carried a one-hit shutout into the sixth and Luis García Jr. sparked the decisive rally with his second double of the night for New York, which leads the American League wild-card race.
Randy Arozarena homered in the sixth for the fading Mariners (56-64), who have lost five in a row and 14 of 19 to fall a season-worst eight games under .500. Seattle, which opened a nine-game trip against three teams currently in playoff position, has mustered only five runs during the losing streak and nine in the past seven games.
Jazz Chisholm Jr. sent García to third with a single in the seventh, and rookie Spencer Jones drew a one-out walk. McMahon gave the Yankees a 2-1 lead with a bases-loaded single off reliever Michael Rucker (0-4), and Grisham added his two-run single off Eduard Bazardo.
Tim Hill (4-2) replaced Weathers with a runner on in the sixth and retired all four batters he faced. Brent Headrick struck out two in a perfect eighth and David Bednar got three outs for his 27th save.

On August 7, 2026, QuidelOrtho Corporation (NASDAQ:QDEL) closed at $12.28 per share, reflecting a market capitalization of $837.72 million. QuidelOrtho Corporation (NASDAQ:QDEL) posted a one‑month return of ‑837.72%, while its shares lost 46.55% over the past 52 weeks."
McIntyre Partnerships stated the following regarding QuidelOrtho Corporation (NASDAQ:QDEL) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"As I argued in the Q1 letter outlining our thesis, QuidelOrtho Corporation (NASDAQ:QDEL) is essentially three different businesses operating under one corporate entity, and a division could be sold to deleverage the company. QDEL appears to be following this path. According to the FT article, QDEL is looking to sell its POC division for roughly $1.5B. POC is the old Quidel business, and the transaction would essentially undo the 2022 merger of Quidel and Ortho. ***** uming a sale near the rumored price, the QDEL RemainCo would be ~2.5x levered and consist of the legacy Ortho business. Critically, the driver of QDEL's repeated missed estimates over the last three years is the legacy Quidel business, while legacy Ortho has been a steady performer, albeit with negative Chinese regulatory news in Q1. Once the Chinese regulations are finalized in the coming months, I believe the legacy Ortho business will return to its historical, consistent high single-digit EBITDA growth.
Additionally, I believe Q2 will mark a low point for cash flow generation, a frequent bear point. As QDEL delevers and exits the volatile flu and COVID business, I believe the stock can reweight towards peers in the 11-15x EV/EBITDA range. If not, I believe the company will

(NASDAQ:PDEX) has a market capitalization of $209.32 million.
Long Cast Advisers stated the following regarding Pro-Dex, Inc. (NASDAQ:PDEX) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"In 2Q26, Pro-Dex, Inc. (NASDAQ:PDEX), PESI and MTRX were the largest contributors. The PDEX pitch offered an attempt to quantify the anticipated incremental benefits to operations if Zimmer succeeds with the mBos robot commercialization (a corrected version of the slide is below). The milestones, prices and margins are all derived from public filings and we ***** ume four effectors per system sale, as an informed estimate.
Zimmer's purchase of Monogram last year included "contingent valuation rights" (CVRs) that pay out $3.41 / share in each year from 2028 to 2030 that mBos gross revenues exceed certain hurdles. Based on these estimates, we calculated the number of systems needed to achieve those revenues, and it triangulates to a capital sale in the range of ~$1M per machine, in line with the cost of Stryker's Mako platform. Stryker sold 860 units in its first three years, so the forecast 609 units to trigger the final CVR seems achievable. And even if the timing is wrong or our estimates imprecise, as long as the direction is right - and Zimmer is putting significant resources behind the launch - once the system launches, PDEX could experience an exceptional transformation in operating cash flow that would justify a substantially higher corporate value. This is why it remains a top position."

Long Cast Advisers stated the following regarding NRC Health (NASDAQ:NRC) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"On NRC Health (NASDAQ:NRC), our newest investment, I discussed the company's evolution from owner / operator to professionally led management team, and the expected benefits from putting a growth focused, incentivized and entrepreneurial executive suite behind this strong and recognizable brand, in a business with strong FCF generation and in a market where the two leading competitors just merged in a PE backed $6.5B deal.
Quantitative evidence that supports our optimism includes the recently announced largest contract in company history, leading to the highest 12-mos backlog in history. Deferred revs are also growing and this typically leads sales. Furthermore, management indicated that the second year of the aforementioned contract is materially larger than the first, which infers that in one year's time, 12-mos backlog could be even larger, and with capacity to do more. We continue to add opportunistically."

In the quarter, global equities rebounded sharply, with the MSCI ACWI posting its strongest quarterly gain since 2020, supported by broad market strength, easing geopolitical tensions, and continued enthusiasm for AI infrastructure. Information technology led the advance, with semiconductor and hardware companies accounting for most of the index's rise. The fund returned 26.9% (net) in the second quarter of 2026. The portfolio benefited from strong gains across memory, software infrastructure, cybersecurity, and other AI-related holdings, although its concentrated exposure to mega-cap chip designers and manufacturers weighed on relative performance as leadership broadened into CPUs, networking, and memory. Vertical software, internet, and financial holdings were modest detractors amid macro concerns and uncertainty over AI disruption. The fund remains focused on critical AI bottlenecks, including compute, memory, manufacturing, networking, and power, while retaining selected businesses that may use AI to strengthen their competitive positions. As AI workloads evolve toward inference, agentic workflows, and more complex data center architectures, we believe the need to coordinate, feed, and manage accelerated compute could drive stronger CPU demand than investors previously expected. AMD and Arm provide exposure to supplier diversity, open standards, and more efficient compute architectures, while Intel adds exposure to server CPUs and potential foundry optionality as customers seek additional sources of advanced manufacturing supply. In the quarter, global equities rebounded sharply, with the MSCI ACWI posting its strongest quarterly gain since 2020, supported by broad market strength, easing geopolitical tensions, and continued enthusiasm for AI infrastructure. "Advanced Micro Devices, Arm Holdings, and Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) increased the portfolio's exposure to rising CPU demand driven by agentic AI. While GPUs remain central to training and token generation, CPUs are increasingly important for scheduling, memory management, tool execution, and the orchestration of agentic workflows. While execution risk remains meaningful, particularly for Intel, we believe these businesses provide differentiate

Our latest engagement with the company focused on its proposal to reincorporate from Delaware to Nevada and the potential implications for shareholder rights, board oversight, and long-term governance. Reincorporation proposals can have meaningful implications for the legal framework governing a company's directors, officers, and shareholders. Because corporate law varies by state, a change in domicile may affect litigation standards, fiduciary duties, shareholder rights, and the balance between management protections and investor oversight. We expect more companies to submit proposals to reincorporate. On August 7, 2026, Roblox Corporation (NYSE:RBLX) closed at $37.79 per share. The one-month return of Roblox Corporation (NYSE:RBLX) was -32.87% and its shares lost 72.42% over the past 52 weeks. Sands Capital Technology Innovators Fund stated the following regarding Roblox Corporation (NYSE:RBLX) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"Roblox Corporation (NYSE:RBLX) shares declined, reflecting more difficult user engagement comparisons and increased investment in safety features that pressured margins. We sold the business during the quarter. Roblox has strengthened its position as a platform since our initial investment, with engagement and monetization broadening beyond a small number of viral hit games. That progress drove a meaningful improvement in revenue growth and profitability. However, the stock has become more vulnerable to difficult comparisons following a surge in engagement, while incremental safety investments may weigh on near-term usage and monetization. Although we continue to see long-term potential in the business, we exited the position because the near-term setup had become less attractive relative to other opportunities."

"TTM Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:TTMI) is a leading Western manufacturer of highly complex printed circuit boards (PCBs) and integrated electronic subsystems. We believe the company is positioned at the intersection of AI data center growth and defense modernization. "Samsara Inc. (NYSE:IOT) is a leading developer of connected hardware and software for industrial operations. Shares declined despite strong first-quarter results, as broader multiple compression across select vertical software peers outweighed continued evidence of strong execution. Revenue growth remained steady at approximately 30 percent, while the company delivered roughly 500 basis points of margin leverage, reflecting improving scale and operating discipline. Samsara continues to benefit from a powerful data network effect: as more customers and connected ***** ets join the platform, Samsara captures more proprietary operational data, which improves its products, strengthens customer outcomes, and creates new monetization opportunities. Sands Capital Technology Innovators Fund stated the following regarding Klaviyo, Inc. (NYSE:KVYO) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"Klaviyo, Inc. (NYSE:KVYO) is an innovative provider of business-to-consumer (B2C) marketing technology. While the company delivered a headline beat and raise, expectations had moved higher into the print after a sharp rebound from April lows, and investors focused on a smaller revenue beat and a slightly lower second-quarter margin guide. The reaction also reflected broader pressure on software stocks, where investor sentiment remains fragile and near-term execution concerns have weighed on valuation multiples. In our view, the selloff was disproportionate to the underlying business performance. Klaviyo continues to deliver strong revenue growth, has limited exposure to seat-based revenue disruption, and should continue to expand margins over time. We maintain conviction, supported by Klaviyo's opportunity to extend share gains, expand internationally and outside of ecommerce, and cross-sell its text-messaging and customer service platforms."

"Palo Alto Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ:PANW) was a contributor during the quarter, supported by strong results and continued investor confidence in cybersecurity demand. Fiscal third-quarter results showed demand remains robust, as rapid AI adoption expands enterprise attack surfaces and increases the need for scaled cybersecurity platforms that can provide visibility, control, and protection against more sophisticated threats. "Nu Holdings Ltd. (NYSE:NU) operates Nubank, a digital financial services platform serving more than 100 million customers in Latin America. First-quarter 2026 revenue growth was in line with expectations, but higher-than-expected provisions weighed on gross profit and raised investor concerns about household debt and credit quality. We are less concerned, as Brazil's low unemployment and real wage growth are more relevant, in our view, to future credit losses than household debt service ratios. We also believe Brazilian Central Bank data may overstate loan delinquencies because of an accounting change that affects how long banks can keep nonperforming loans on their books before recognizing a write-off. "Palantir Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:PLTR) is a data intelligence and operational AI platform that helps governments and enterprises solve complex challenges by integrating and ***** yzing data across functions. Our holding was a detractor during the quarter, as shares declined despite reporting very strong first-quarter results. Revenue growth accelerated meaningfully, the company delivered a record guidance raise, and profitability continued to improve, with strong incremental margins and continued GAAP earnings growth. Brown Advisory Global Leaders Strategy Fund stated the following regarding Workday, Inc. (NASDAQ:WDAY) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
We exited our position in Workday, Inc. (NASDAQ:WDAY) during May after a relatively brief holding period of approximately eight months. Several fundamental factors have changed since our initial investment in September of last year, prompting us to revise both our growth and margin estimates for Workday. These revisions have led us to conclude that we can no longer achieve the IRR targets embedded in our base case. When the CEO stepped down and co-founder Aneel Bhusri was re-appointed, we expected, and already see, a change in capital allocation discipline at Workday, as evidenced by the immediate moderation of the company's margin targets. This, paired with the expected reduced discipline around stock-based compensation, materially impacted key inputs into our investment thesis.
