On September 9, 2026, Reuters reported that AI music startup Suno launched a new suite of models, including its flagship v6 and exploratory v6-Wild, built in partnership with Warner Music Group Corp. (NASDAQ:WMG) and BMG. It lets users make new music inspired by licensed recordings from participating artists. The launch follows Warner Music's copyright lawsuit settlement with Suno in November 2025, under which artists and songwriters can opt in to have their names, voices, and compositions used in AI-generated music in exchange for compensation.

Adjusted OIBDA increased 16% to $433 million, and its adjusted OIBDA margin expanded to 23.2%. Warner also said it had met or exceeded its financial targets for five consecutive quarters. That basic growth gives the company greater flexibility to invest in AI initiatives while using licensing agreements to add another potential growth driver to its existing streaming and publishing businesses.
Warner could help establish a more sustainable commercial model for AI-generated music. Suno said future products will include opt-in experiences that allow individual artists to participate and receive payment when users generate music around them. So Warner has an opportunity to help shape licensing and compensation practices as Spotify and other platforms develop their own AI-music products. If the industry increasingly adopts licensed models, Warner's large catalog and relationships with artists could solidify its negotiating position and create recurring AI-related revenue.

Ahead of the release of Zach Cregger's reboot today, there were already seven Resident Evil movies — six of them in a more action-oriented series starring Milla Jovovich, four of which were directed by her husband, Paul W.S. Anderson, plus an unrelated "reboot" in 2021 called Welcome to Raccoon City that went for more of a John Carpenter vibe and was an attempt to truly "adapt" the games. There's also a Netflix TV show version that ran for a single season in 2022. Countless other works in the horror genre have unofficially cribbed from the Resident Evil games over the years. It's an incredibly influential series.
And yet, Zach Cregger, hot off his Oscar-winning original horror film Weapons, is the first filmmaker to truly feel like he's adapting the experience of playing the games, arguably the scariest survival-horror ones ever made, rather than simply incorporating story and plot elements to explain the outbreak of infected people. In Cregger's hands, Resident Evil is pure crowd-pleasing popcorn cinema, best experienced in a packed movie theater with dozens of other people reacting loudly to the madness.
The premise couldn't be simpler — and the runtime a brisk 90ish minutes — as we follow a medical courier named Bryan (Austin Abrams, proving himself to be the Bruce Campbell for a new generation) who unwittingly finds himself fighting for survival as one fateful, horrifying night collapses around him in a swirl of chaos. Fans of the video games will recognize various easter eggs and nods to game mechanics, including the importance of conserving ammo and checking every last drawer for more of it.
But you don't need to be familiar with the games at all to enjoy the movie, which is an efficient horror set-piece machine that just keeps putting Abrams in increasingly concerning situations. I can't stress enough how much this is a one-man show anchored by Abrams, and he crushes it. He's in every scene, earning tons of laughs simply by reacting as a normal person would in this situation; he's a true audience-surrogate character, ushering us through the chaos. His comedic timing, paired with Cregger's ****** ured camerawork and editing, is a match made in genre-movie heaven.
I didn't expect it to be so heavily inspired by genre classics like The Thing and Evil Dead. In fact, it's a better Evil Dead movie than the last several movies with "Evil Dead" in the ****** le, nailing the horror-comedy tone that only Sam Raimi and a few others can pull off with aplomb. Cregger has a ton of fun with the various monstrous forms that the infected take here, from fusing multiple humans together to crafting his own horror take on a big, scary guy like Dune's Baron Harkonnen. Resident Evil movies have thus far treated the zombies as pretty traditional movie zombies; Cregger's version gets at the attempt to create the next stage of human evolution.

BuyWander says it plan to use the fresh capital to drive its expansion throughout the US, support technological upgrades, and bolster its executive team.
The investment was headed by Madrona Venture Group and Inspired Capital. Past supporters of the company include Triple Impact Capital, Silence Ventures, Animal Capital, as well as several angel investors.
The business currently has eight locations and has lately entered the Denver and Chicago markets, with a new warehouse site scheduled to open soon in Minneapolis.

Buywander, an auction-based marketplace for returned and overstocked retail inventory, has just secured $21 million in fresh funding. Madrona Venture Group and Inspired Capital led the Series A funding round. This brings the Seattle-based startup's total funding to $28 million. COLUMBIA FALLS, Montana, Sept 16 (Reuters) - More than 15 years after the U.S. Supreme Court reshaped American politics with its Citizens United campaign finance ruling, Montana voters will decide this November whether to make their state the first in the nation to bar corporations from spending money on elections through a ballot initiative.
It's a test case for a novel legal strategy that sidesteps the 2010 ruling rather than challenging it head-on -- and taps into growing, bipartisan anger over the pervasiveness of so-called dark money in elections.
"Americans are losing the belief that they have any influence over our politics," said Tom Moore, a lawyer with the Center for American Progress left-leaning think tank in Washington and the legal architect of the movement.
With similar, coordinated efforts underway in over 30 states, Montana could help set a critical precedent, experts say, and potentially lead to another showdown at the Supreme Court. Hawaii's legislature passed a similar law earlier this year, inspired by those behind the effort here.

Should Claire have worn the stunning burgundy runway version?
As much as I adore that rich hue and the velvet fabric, I think Claire made the right choice. The silver feels better suited to both the occasion and her red carpet style, while still retaining everything that made the original design so striking.

Walmart (WMT) recently took another step into restaurant delivery, announcing a national partnership with Inspire Brands that puts it more directly in competition with DoorDash (DASH) and Uber Technologies' (UBER) Uber Eats. But the expansion announced recently is still largely limited to restaurants operating as tenants inside Walmart stores, where the logistics are considerably easier to manage. The bigger question is what happens when the company moves beyond these in-store tenants and takes on the more difficult parts of the restaurant delivery market. Until then, the current expansion says more about Walmart's ambition than its ability to become a structural competitor to the established players.

SZA and Vans are inviting the public to step into the world of the soon-to-launch, and aptly named, Vansza collection with an elaborate New York Fashion Week experience.
While the collection doesn't launch until Oct. 22, the Vansza activation will open its doors at 260 Bowery significantly sooner. Visitors will have the chance to take in the unique experience starting Sept. 10 at 2 p.m. local time. Following an 8 p.m. shutdown that night, the Vansza world will restart on Sept. 11 at 12 p.m. local time before wrapping for good at 4 p.m.
In a statement shared with Complex, SZA teased the forthcoming collection, which features footwear and apparel, as "a reflection" of how she lives and what inspires her on a daily basis.

Sept. 14 (UPI) -- The planned West End revival of Sunday in the Park with George has been delayed to 2028.
Empire Street Productions announced Monday that the musical "will no longer proceed as scheduled" in 2027, with the company to "retain the rights with a view to presenting the production in 2028."
The news follows word that Wicked co-stars Ariana Grande and Jonathan Bailey have dropped out of the production. Grande announced in August that she "will be taking a step back from visibility" after the conclusion of her Eternal Sunshine tour, with Bailey later confirming he has "decided to also step back" from the revival.
Sunday in the Park with George features music and lyrics by famed composer Stephen Sondheim. The musical, inspired by the Georges Seurat painting A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte, debuted on Broadway in 1984 and on West End in 2006.

The finest element of the U.S. Open — the Grand Slam held in the largest tennis stadium in the world — will always be the tennis itself. The trick, in 2026 and beyond, is how to get audiences to actually care about, you know, that tennis.
Ben Shelton and Alexander Zverev did their very best on Sunday, bringing both narrative and firepower to the four-set men's final. Yes, the influencers were posing at every aisle on every changeover, and more than a few fans appeared unclear on the basic concept of "sit your ******* down while the point is going on." But when Shelton and Zverev locked in, unleashing serves that nearly hit 150 mph or lashing shots that skipped a fingernail's width in bounds, the crowd was right there with them, rising and falling, a living thing that pulsed with energy unlike any other stadium in tennis.
Less than 24 hours earlier on the same court, Elena Rybakina finished off Aryna Sabalenka in a three-set triumph of resolve and willpower over emotion and firepower. Sabalenka, who had won the previous two Opens, entered as the crowd favorite. But the fans in the stands at Arthur Ashe love hard-fought on-court battles as much as they love the endless scroll of celebrity cameos on the video boards. So after a couple dozen Hollywood and music stars took their turns to varying volumes of applause, the crowd focused in on the match. Sabalenka drew motivational cheers, and then, once the result was clear, Rybakina inspired celebratory ones.
The two matches ended this year's U.S. Open on a triumphant note. At last, the tennis tournament centered on actual tennis, not ticket prices or runway-style entrances to Arthur Ashe Stadium or hundred-dollar chicken nuggets. (Yes, I admit it, I was part of the problem with that last one.)
The influencers' presence dominated the early coverage of the U.S. Open, in large part because they did their job of drawing attention to themselves. CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) — Freshman Tait Reynolds replaced an injured Christopher Vizzina at quarterback and threw for 178 yards and led five scoring drives as Clemson defeated Georgia Southern 22-7 on Saturday night following a two-hour lightning delay.
T.J. Moore had seven catches for 103 yards and a touchdown and Nolan Hauser was 5 for 5 on field goal attempts for Clemson (1-1), which rebounded from a 51-10 thrashing at the hands of No. 11 LSU last week.
That loss, combined with a seventh place finish in the ACC last year, left fans and former players frustrated with the Tigers' sharp falloff under longtime head coach Dabo Swinney. Clemson's win likely did little to inspire much confidence in new coordinator Chad Morris' offense.

Scott Murphy, brand president of the Inspire-owned Dunkin', will take over as CEO on an interim basis, the publication said, citing internal documents.

Double Olympic Taekwondo champion Jade Jones is determined to prove that age will not hold her back as the 33-year-old prepares to box Hungarian MMA fighter Sheena Bathory on 12 September.
Welsh competitor Jones announced herself to the boxing world back in February with a second-round knockout against reality TV star Egypt Criss, before then dispatching Argentine influencer FederiKita in May to take her record to 2-0.
After her winning start, Jones, will now face her toughest test yet as she prepares to face Bathory for the Misfits super middleweight ***** le at Newcastle's Utilita Arena.
Since beginning her boxing career at 31-years-old, the fearless Jones hopes she can inspire others with her journey.
"I wanted to show people that you shouldn't be scared of failing and trying. People do think 'oh you're 33', and I did start to feel like that at the end of my Taekwondo career, that I'm older now and I've kind of passed the line," said Jones.
