Chelsea are exploring potential loan moves for Mykhailo Mudryk as he looks to build up his fitness after 20 months out of football.
The Ukraine international, 25, has not played a competitive match since November 2024.
He was suspended for four years after returning an adverse finding for the banned substance meldonium.
However, an agreement was reached to resolve the doping case, and the winger has returned with substitute appearances in pre-season friendlies against Juventus, AC Milan and Johor Darul Ta'zim during Chelsea's tour of Asia.
In meetings at the end of the tour, Mudryk agreed to leave on loan before the transfer deadline on 1 September.

Chelsea's second string played out an interesting friendly with Johor Darul Ta'zim this afternoon, and there was one big winner and one big loser.

Chelsea's second team have just drawn 3-3 in Malaysia against Johor Darul Ta'zim, and a result like that is bound to generate some criticism for individuals, even with a much changed team on the pitch.
The scapegoat for the Blues was Tosin, who had another shocker. He was so poor he may have played his way out of Xabi Alonso's consideration for the season ahead. Certainly he's at the bottom of the long list of central defenders we have on our books right now.

When Chelsea arrive in Malaysia for the final leg of their pre-season tour, new manager Xabi Alonso will be reunited with former Liverpool team-mate Luis Garcia.
Garcia is now the chief executive of Johor Darul Ta'zim, who welcome Chelsea to their 40,000-capacity Sultan Ibrahim Stadium on Sunday.
The two Spaniards go way back to 2004, when they both signed for Rafael Benitez's Liverpool on the same day.
Despite facing each other multiple times in the Spanish football ecosystem, that day at Anfield was the first time they met properly.
"He told me he didn't speak English too well before our unveiling press conference," Garcia told BBC Sport.

Chelsea continue their pre-season preparations under new boss Xabi Alonso as they face AC Milan in a friendly in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The Blues have had a rather underwhelming start to life under the Spaniard, albeit with the caveat that thes are all friendlies, with their defence exposed in a frantic 6-4 win over Western Sydney Wanderers before they suffered back-to-back defeats against 10-man Tottenham and Juventus last time out.
AC Milan, who are now managed by former Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim, started their summer tour with a 2-2 draw with Celtic after trailing 2-0 at half-time, before they were held to a 1-1 draw by rivals Inter in their last pre-season friendly.
Chelsea will wrap up their tour with a visit to Malaysia to face Johor Darul Ta'zim before hosting Real Sociedad at Stamford Bridge before their Premier League campaign begins.
Here's everything you need to know.
