Hearts head coach Wouter Vrancken admitted he will likely have to bring in further defensive reinforcements after several key players were struck down by injury in the opening three games of the season.
Vice-captain Stephen Kingsley, new centre-back Malachi ***** an-Walcott and right-back Christian Borchgrevink all picked up knocks in the Champions League qualifying double header against Sturm Graz, which ended in a 6-0 aggregate defeat.
Club captain Craig Halkett is already missing after rupturing his Achilles in the third-to-last match of the previous campaign, while fellow centre-half Stuart Findlay is out for next week's league match after his red card in the opener against Aberdeen.
Vrancken has already utilised four centre-back pairings, with midfielder McEntee filling in next to Findlay in the 2-1 loss at Pittodrie.
Jordi Altena and Harry Milne are the only fit full-backs, while Jamie McCart and MJ Kamson-Kamara, who is yet to play a competitive game for Hearts, are the fit centre-back options. New signing Laurent Mendy could also fill in further back.

The influencer died on Saturday, July 25, a post to her TikTok announced. "Rebecca passed away July 25th at approximately 1:15 p.m. surrounded by her loved ones," the post read, adding to Luna's followers, "Thank you for your support and privacy."
Following the news, Luna's daughter, Maya Findlay, is speaking out online. In one of two posts on her TikTok account, Findlay shared a screen recording of a FaceTime call with her late mother, in which she shows her own children to her on the camera. Over the screen recording, Findlay wrote, "Homesick for my mom who will never exist in this lifetime again."

Paul: Terrible defending. I do not know why they persist with Pierre Landry Kabore - he's bang average and his goal ratio is awful. Give young James Wilson some game time, at least he knows how to put the ball in the back of the net. We were punished due to poor defending and things have to tighten up.
Gina: I thought we looked good when attacking but we need to look at our defence, which let us down badly.
David: Real mixed emotions with this one. We looked very dangerous going forward, even with some of our better players starting on the bench. But our inability to finish moves was very frustrating. The real problem is in defence. Jamie McCart is not nearly good enough for this level, but I ******* ume he was only in because Stuart Findlay isn't quite ready to start after ankle surgery. We wouldn't have had that scoreline with Findlay or Craig Halkett.

Former Scotland striker James McFadden expects Steve Clarke to take an attacking approach during tomorrow's final World Cup warm-up match against Bolivia.
Clarke's side beat Curacao 4-1 at Hampden last weekend and now have one game on American soil before they take on Haiti in their Group C opener at Boston Stadium on 13 June.
"I think more of a focus on attacking, obviously making sure that you're solid defensively, but hopefully we get to see some of the young players again," McFadden told BBC Scotland.
"Findlay Curtis came on and did really well [against Curacao], scored a goal. Lawrence Shankland as well, so I think we will see more of an attack-minded focus on the game because we have to go and drive it that way."
McFadden isn't necessarily expecting Clarke to start a full-strength team against Haiti, but he believes some players who missed out against Curacao will return to the fold.
