Bride-to-be Shaina Franklin has racked up millions of views documenting a bitter battle with a California bridal shop that began over allegedly botched alterations, and exploded when the store posted her wedding gown online weeks before she walked down the aisle.
Now, the internet is furiously debating over who committed the bigger faux pas.
The saga began when the TikTok fitness influencer took to social media to complain about alterations on her wedding gown at San Diego bridal store, Bridal and Veil, claiming the work left her dream dress looking like a Frankenstein version of itself shortly before her big day.

Liverpool are close to confirming a major transfer.
The Reds are making big alterations in the squad - with a winger or two hopefully arriving at anfield before the transfer deadline.
The focus right now however is on outgoings. And the club are close to finalising a £30m deal which will see Curtis Jones join Italian champions Inter Milan.

Six years after leaving the UK, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are moving back to Britain later this month, with plans in place for their children, Prince Archie, seven, and five-year-old Princess Lilibet to begin school when term starts in September.
HELLO! understands King Charles was first made aware of these plans on Sunday, August 16, 2026, and that although he is pleased he will have more opportunity to see his son and grandchildren, there will be no alterations to Harry or Meghan's status within the royal family in accordance with previous decisions.
It is thought that Harry and Meghan will maintain their home in Montecito, California, but will establish "a private, non-royal home base in Britain" outside of London. They also have a vacation home in Portugal.

It was no accident last year that all four of the state football semifinalists in Class 5A came from the same district.
That league, 2-5A, looks much the same as it did in 2025, with a couple of alterations. Chaparral has moved up from 4A and Alamogordo has dropped from 6A. Those two replace Santa Teresa and Lovington, who both are now 4A members for at least the next two seasons.

Johnny Beig is founder and managing director of DIOZ Group, a global apparel and private-label manufacturing company. He argues that hotels should therefore treat uniform programmes as an operational and procurement issue rather than simply an apparel purchase.
"The biggest hidden cost is that a uniform is never just a garment," Beig said. "If it is poorly designed, poorly fitted, or not built around the realities of hotel operations, the cost shows up in many places at once."
Those costs can include staff discomfort, reordering, alterations, delays, waste and inconsistencies in how a hotel brand is presented, he added.

Jeff Pearlman has spent much of the last several years positioning himself as one of sports media's loudest critics, frequently calling out journalists, broadcasters and media personalities over their work and ethics.
Now, the longtime sportswriter and bestselling author finds himself on the other side of that conversation.
Pearlman, a Southern California resident who has taught journalism as an adjunct professor at Chapman University for the past decade, publicly apologized after YouTube creator Velodus accused him of plagiarizing large portions of a 2021 video about former New York Yankees prospect Ruben Rivera. Awful Announcing was the first to detail the scandal.
Velodus published a detailed follow-up video identifying what he said were 23 instances in which Pearlman's video mirrored his original work, including newspaper clippings, archival footage, photographs and editing choices. According to Velodus, several graphics even retained alterations unique to his original edit.
Pearlman's version appeared on his Press Box Chronicles YouTube channel, which has a significantly larger audience than Velodus' channel, and included a sponsored advertisement. After the allegations gained traction, Pearlman made the Rivera video private, deleted his Bluesky account (he had already previously deleted his X/Twitter account) and later released a TikTok video addressing the controversy.

Two seamstresses at Wimbledon expect to have altered 1,000 items of clothing by the end of the tennis tournament.
Erica Russell, 66, and Marlien Beets, 59, work 12-hour shifts adjusting clothing for players at the Grand Slam event.
The pair, who both live in Surrey, said this involved advising competitors to check their clothing complied with strict dress codes and ironing on sponsors' badges, as well as alterations.
A "mind-blowing" figure of more than 900 items of clothing have gone to the seamstresses since the tournament's draw was announced, according to Russell.

During the late stages of the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge support race on the 3.4-mile, 11-turn natural terrain road course, a piece of curbing detached at the entry to Turn 5. The loose curb severely damaged a wheel on a Turner Motorsports entry, ruining a likely strong finish for the team and forcing track officials into immediate action. Extensive track repairs delayed the subsequent WeatherTech Championship qualifying session by two hours and 40 minutes, pushing it until after another scheduled IMSA support series race.
In response to the safety hazard, track officials opted to completely pull up the curbs in that section for the qualifying sessions. The sudden modification transformed the characteristics of the chicane, leading to shattered track records in both the GTP and GTD Pro classes.
