As Week 1 of the college football season begins, there are several teams in the Sun Belt that will have big games to open up their season. These are the top Sun Belt games to watch, as these will be big tests for these teams out of the gate.
Coastal Carolina will begin their season in Morgantown, ushering in a new era. They fired former head coach Tim Beck after three seasons, including a 6-7 record in his final two. Replacing Beck is Ryan Beard.
Beard was previously the head coach at Missouri State, and he has brought over a lot of players with him.
The interesting thing about this matchup is that neither team has announced who the starting quarterback will be. For the Chanticleers, Deuce Bailey, Tre Guerra, Trever Jackson, Osiris Lopez and Luke McBride have all competed for the job. Beard has said the decision for whoever starts will be a game-time decision. Bailey was one of the transfers that came with Beard from Missouri State. He made one start last season.
For West Virginia, Michael Hawkins Jr. and Scotty Fox Jr. have both been in competition to win the starting job. While head coach Rich Rodriguez hasn't publicly announced the starter, it has been reported that Hawkins Jr. will be starting.

Test cricket returns to Australia's tropical Top End for the first time since 2003 when the hosts take on Bangladesh in a two-match series beginning Thursday.
The first Test at Marrara Stadium in Darwin will be Bangladesh's first Test tour of Australia in more than 20 years. It also starts a 12-month period in which Australia are scheduled to play at least 20 Tests, including series against South Africa, India and England.
Australia are set to bring back their main bowling attack, with Pat **** mins, Josh Hazlewood and Nathan Lyon returning from injuries. Mitchell Starc is also in the side.
Injuries have meant the four have rarely played together in recent series. Hazlewood's expected return means Scott Boland will miss out, while allrounders Cameron Green and Beau Webster are also in the starting XI.
"We know Scotty's class, it is always a pretty tight call," **** mins said at a press conference on Wednesday. "There is not much you can say to Scotty except there is a lot of cricket coming up.
"He knows his worth, and how good he is, and I am sure he will be out there at some point pretty soon."
Australia's bowling attack looks settled, but there are questions over the batting order.
Jake Weatherald, the first Test player from Australia's Northern Territory, has kept his place after Australia's Ashes win over England last season despite his recent form. He is expected to open with Travis Head.
Usman Khawaja's retirement has allowed Australia to play both Green and Webster in the same XI. Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith will bat at No. 3 and No. 4, with Labuschagne also looking for runs to strengthen his position in the side.
Bangladesh will be without Nahid Rana, Mustafizur Rahman and Shoriful Islam for the first Test. Shoriful could return for the second match in Mackay from August 22 to 26.
Rana, 23, is one of Bangladesh's quickest bowlers and was a key part of their ODI series win over Australia two months ago. He suffered a side strain during a T20I against Zimbabwe in July.
The series against Bangladesh begins a schedule of 20 Tests for Australia over the next 12 months, with another match possible if they qualify for the World Test Championship final.
After the second Bangladesh Test, Australia will tour South Africa for three Tests in October. They will then host New Zealand for four Tests before a five-Test series in India.
Australia will also play a one-off day-night Test against England at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in March to mark the 150th anniversary of matches between the two countries.
The schedule will conclude with an away Ashes series beginning in June.

Welcome to Day 8 of Denver Broncos training camp.
It was great to see the Broncos running game finally get going in Friday's padded practice, but with the caveat that Malcolm Roach, Alex Singleton, and Brandon Jones were all on vet days. That might have played a factor in opening up the run game for the offense yesterday. Even so, both JK Dobbins and rookie Jonah Coleman had big runs during the session. It has been a grueling week of practice, so I am sure the players will be looking forward to Sunday's day of rest after Saturday's practice.
Scotty Payne will update this post from the live camp practice session today.

Welcome to Day 5 of Denver Broncos training camp.
After back-to-back intense practices with the pads on, the defense came away with the upper hand in both of those days. The offense has made some big plays of their own, but they have yet to establish a consistent output against one of the NFL's best defenses. I hope to see that change a bit to help the offense find some measure of confidence and chemistry ahead of the first preseason game next week.
Scotty Payne will keep you updated from the live practice with posts below as I won't be fully back in action until next week either.

Welcome to Day 3 of Denver Broncos training camp.
The first two days of camp have been fairly competitive with both sides of the ball getting the upper hand at times.
"It's been a competitive first couple of days, offense and defense, which is what you want to see," quarterback Bo Nix said on Saturday. "Both sides of the ball have been making a lot of plays. It's just a fun time right now."
One thing that has come up in both days so far has been the explosive plays on offense. Nix has been finding big plays with a variety of receivers, but so have the backup quarterbacks. Where the defense has come up big has been in shutting things down as the field gets shorter. That competition is going to help both units get better at performing well in games.
This is exciting to see early in camp. I am still traveling, so Scotty Payne will be covering the live updates again for me today. Go Broncos!

Welcome to Day 2 of Denver Broncos training camp.
After an exciting first day of camp where we saw some big plays from the offense and red zone dominance by the defense, both sides of the ball had their successes and setbacks on Friday. Bo Nix is looking sharp as ever too. Day 2 figures to bring some more excitement as the weekend fan attendance tends to be a bit more electric.
Scotty Payne will be updating this post today as I'll be braving the eastern Oregon wildfires to find a path to the Redwood Coast this week. I'll face any danger for some fresh air at this point. Wish me luck and I'll be back at it on my laptop after this (hopefully) nine hour already-detoured drive.
Go Broncos!

Prince Harry is being accused of leaning on Princess Diana's legacy to bolster his "public image." The claim comes after the Duke of Sussex's high-profile UK appearances and personal unveilings about life. More than two decades after her death, people still remember the late Princess of Wales as one of the most beloved royal figures, especially for the lasting influence she had on her children.
Critics have accused Prince Harry of exploiting his late mother, Princess Diana's memory, after he disclosed a private birthday tradition. According to sources, some branded the intimate disclosure as "sickeningly crass," per RadarOnline.
While speaking at Scotty's Summer Festival at Maxstoke Castle in Warwickshire during his recent trip to the UK, the Prince shared a family tradition. The 41-year-old told the crowd that the Sussexes honor the late Princess of Wales' July 1 birthday and the August 31 anniversary of her death with a lemon drizzle cake.
"There are people who feel Harry simply cannot stop returning to Diana whenever he appears in public. **** ody questions that he misses his mother, but some believe repeatedly sharing intimate details about how he marks her memory risks turning an intensely personal tragedy into part of his public image. Among his critics, there is a growing feeling that it comes across as cashing in on Diana's legacy, and some have described the latest comments as sickeningly crass," said a royal insider.
"Supporters will say he is touchingly honoring his mother, but others think every new revelation invites fresh headlines about Diana rather than allowing her memory to remain private. That's why his remarks have generated such a strong reaction," they added.

Bud Cauley carries a laminated four-leaf clover in his golf bag, a gift from his grandfather who found it in his yard. The lucky charm had failed to deliver a PGA Tour victory until Cauley pulled away from the field down the stretch of the RBC Canadian Open to grab win No. 1 in start 239.
