The Commanders' former name and logo are gone. Unless they aren't.
As explained by Eric Flack of WUSA, the Commanders are selling in their team store gear containing both the name and the logo.
The Commanders have insisted that the name and the logo are gone for good. They told Flack that they're using both on a limited basis in order to preserve their trademark rights. And they stress that none of it means they'll be going back to either.
Still, it feels as if the Commanders are periodically dipping a toe a little deeper into the water regarding the possibility of bringing back both.
Or maybe they've decided to pander, just a bit, to fans who want the old name and logo to return.

The Baltimore Ravens already have enough established talent to construct one of the NFL's best secondaries. Chandler Rivers could be the player who raises the unit's ceiling even higher. Rivers is not expected to replace Marlon Humphrey, Nate Wiggins, Kyle Hamilton or Malaki Starks in the starting lineup. The fifth-round rookie can still become an important part of Baltimore's defense by providing dependable coverage when the Ravens use additional defensive backs.
According to Pro Football Hall of Fame International Ambassador Steve Flack, citing Pro Football Focus, Rivers has played 40 coverage snaps during the preseason. He has been targeted six times, allowing two receptions and a 42.4 passer rating.
The sample remains small, but the early efficiency as a pro is difficult to ignore.

Rivers has stayed connected to receivers through their routes, closed quickly at the catch point, and demonstrated the physicality required to finish plays and potentially carve out a role. He also allowed only six receiving yards on five targets during Baltimore's preseason victory over the Minnesota Vikings.

It's almost a generational rite of passage: older cohorts putting the spending habits of the youngest under the microscope.
Boomers faced backlash for blowing allowances on clothes, cosmetics and records; Gen X caught flack for high credit card use; Millennials are haunted by their insatiable hunger for avocado toast; and Gen Z is sacrificing future savings by spending at Starbucks.

King Charles III has caught no end of flack for reconciling with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle — and according to a source, it has him questioning whether it's such a good idea after all.
"He wants this relationship, but he wants to rebuild it at a pace that's comfortable for him," Examiner's source explains. "The problem is, it's becoming pretty obvious that the Sussexes are in much more of a hurry to keep building on things."
For example, "Harry wants to see his dad as often as physically possible," reveals the source. "He's already talking about Christmas, and there's all this discussion about wanting Charles to join him at the Invictus Games in 2027. Harry keeps pushing, as does Meghan."

Harry, 41, and Meghan, 45, are simply eager to "make up for lost time," says the source.

The World Cup 2026 group stage has concluded and now the focus turns to the knockout rounds as nations look to progress as far as possible with sights set firmly on reaching the final in New York.
Germany are one of the favourites to go far in the tournament having finished top of Group E thanks to wins over Ivory Coast and Curacao. However, Julian Nagelsmann’s side lost their final group game against a fearless Ecudaor who overcame Leroy Sane’s early strike to triumph 2-1.
The Germans will take on a rather flacklustre Paraguay who finished third in Group D behind the USA and Australia. The South American side took four points from the group after a slim 1-0 win over Turkey and a goalless draw against Australia. But, they were soundly beaten 4-1 by the US and may find things difficult against a strong Germany.
Here’s everything you need to know about the last-32 tie:
The fixture will take place at Boston Stadium on Monday 29 June at 9.30pm BST (1.30am PT / 3.30pm CT / 4.30pm ET).
