David Seaman thinks Max Dowman has the potential to develop into a legend of the game like Ryan Giggs was during his playing days.
Dowman is the latest exciting youngster in the **** nal team, and the Gunners look set to hand him an important role in their squad this season. Last term was his breakout campaign, and as they prepare to offload Ethan Nwaneri in this window, he is expected to play a bigger role at the Emirates.
Dowman is one of the top players **** nal have developed in recent times, and the attacker has all it takes to reach the top. He also plays for a team that can help him achieve that.
Arsenal will continue to do their best to ensure he progresses and receives the support required to develop well, but the question remains whether he can become as good as Giggs.
Seaman is sure that the attacker has what it takes to become one of the biggest legends in the game if he continues to develop.

Arsenal host Como in the final preseason match of the summer. After today, it's Manchester City in the Community Shield on Sunday. The Premier League season opens with ******* nal hosting Coventry City on Friday, August 21st. We're almost there.
The England and Spain World Cup contingent have returned to training — they're in the images published by the club — but it's not clear if they'll feature today. William Saliba will be out for a while recovering from a back fracture. Jurrien Timber is "weeks" away as he recovers from the groin problem that kept him out of the World Cup. I'd expect Bruno Guimaraes to make his first appearance in an ******* nal shirt today.
Now is the time for Mikel Arteta and his squad to be making their final preparations for the long season ahead and putting themselves in the best position to hit the ground running. Whether that is accomplished by getting as many first choice players "game situation" minutes or progressing them back into the swing of things with limited time is a question best answered by the significant amounts of information, data, and health / fitness ******* sments available to the club and not to us. Basically what I'm saying is we shouldn't read anything into who plays and for how long.
One thing I would keep an eye on (and take with appropriate preseason grains of salt) is who looks good individually. The team stuff will come when the right combinations of players are on the field together. So far this preseason, Kai Havertz, Chritos Tzolis, and Martin Ødegaard have looked particularly good. Max Dowman is playing well and pushing for more regular involvement once the season starts. Ethan Nwaneri put in a solid performance against Dortmund after being disappointingly anonymous earlier in preseason.
Lineups will be posted when available. For most of y'all, the match will be available to stream on ******* nal's YouTube channel. If it isn't, check here for where it is being shown in your region.

Arsenal faces Real Betis at Dublin's Aviva Stadium on Wednesday in a preseason friendly, the first meeting between the two clubs at any level.
The Gunners have had a comfortable summer so far, beating MK Dons 3-0 behind closed doors and Girona 4-1 on Saturday.
Arsenal won the Premier League last season and reached the Champions League final. Max Dowman scored and set one up in Girona. New signing Christos Tzolis also found the net.

Betis is much further along in its preparations. Manuel Pellegrini's side has played five friendlies already, with a 4-0 win over Lyon plus victories against Sportfreunde Lotte, Recreativo Huelva and Almería.

Arsenal continue to prepare for their Premier League ***** le defence with a friendly against Real Betis.
Mikel Arteta is still welcoming players back from international duty at the World Cup.
But with less than two weeks remaining until the Community Shield against Manchester City, a key test against La Liga side Betis awaits.
Confidence is high after a 4-1 win over Girona, thanks to goals from Gabriel Jesus, Max Dowman and Christos Tzolis.
Here's how Arteta's side could line up and how you can follow along as the Gunners take shape before the Community Shield next week and that first Premier League outing against Coventry on Friday, 21 August:

Arsenal continued their pre-season schedule in style with an impressive 4-1 victory over Girona in Catalonia, as teenage sensation Max Dowman once again underlined why excitement around the youngster continues to grow.
As reported by Sky Sports, the 16-year-old produced a goal and an ******* ist in a superb individual display, while new summer signing Christos Tzolis also marked the occasion with a goal as Mikel Arteta's side eased to victory.
It took ******* nal just 16 minutes to break the deadlock, and it was Dowman who created the opener with a moment of real quality.
The teenager turned brilliantly to escape his marker before threading an inch-perfect through ball into the path of Kai Havertz, who calmly finished beyond Paulo Gazzaniga to give the Gunners the lead.
Dowman continued to influence proceedings throughout the opening half and almost found the net himself before Tzolis doubled ******* nal's advantage on 32 minutes. The Greek winger capped an encouraging second outing with a low effort that took a slight deflection on its way into the bottom corner.

Girona FC concluded a new preseason match this Saturday with the 49th Costa Brava Trophy - 150th Anniversary Estrella Damm at the Montilivi Stadium, where they fell to ****** nal FC 1-4 in a highly demanding game against one of the great clubs in European football.
The match allowed Quique Álvarez's team to continue accumulating competitive minutes and advance in their preparation for the 2026-27 season, against an opponent that showed a great pace of play from the very beginning. The Londoners took the lead in the 16th minute with a goal from Kai Havertz and extended their advantage in the 30th minute thanks to Christos Tzolis, reaching halftime with a favorable 0-2 scoreline.
After the break, Girona responded in the best possible way. The team started the second half with determination, and after two consecutive corners, Arnau Martínez reduced the deficit with a great header in the 50th minute, igniting Montilivi and reopening the game.
Arsenal's response, however, was immediate. Max Dowman restored the two-goal advantage just three minutes later, and Gabriel Jesus sealed the final 1-4 scoreline in the 55th minute. Despite the score, Girona continued to press for the opposing goal until the end, with chances from Minsu and Vladyslv Vanat that were met with strong saves from Kepa Arrizabalaga.
The final stretch of the match allowed both coaches to distribute playing time among much of their squads and continue giving prominence to younger players, one of the main objectives of this preparation period.

Arsenal fans were left short-changed after the live stream for the Gunners' pre-season friendly cut off during the first half of the match against Girona.
Kai Havertz had given ****** nal the lead having received a delightful pass from 16-year-old Max Dowman before slipping it past the goalkeeper with a left-footed finish.
Supporters had been able to watch the opening goal, which occured in the 16th minute, before the live stream of the game - airing on ****** nal's website and app cut off.
Refeshing the page where the match could be accessed - on ****** nal's pay-per-view tab - only yielded a message that read: "No data available."
Understandably, fans took to social media to decry their frustration with many voicing their displeasure at paying for a stream they couldn't access.

Well folks, it's that time again. August is here and so begins ******* nal's slate of preseason matches. Today, the Gunners face Girona to cap off a week of training in Spain. They take on Real Betis (and Hector Bellerin) in Dublin on Wednesday, August 5th, Dortmund next Sunday in the Emirates Cup, and Como on August 12th before the Community Shield on August 16th. The Premier League season kicks off in less than three weeks — the 21st home to newly promoted Coventry.
Arsenal – Kepa, White, Mosquera, Hincapie, Calafiori, Lewis-Skelly, Havertz, Nwaneri, Dowman, Tzolis, Gyokeres
Everyone should be prepared to overreact wildly to a lineup several players off the first XI. Because that's what you do in the preseason, after all. None of Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Magalhaes, Martin Ødegaard, Declan Rice, Ebere Eze, Bukayo Saka, Noni Madueke, David Raya, Mikel Merino, Martin Zubimendi, nor William Saliba are in today's squad.
The Brazilians rejoined the team in the last day or two. Gabriel Martinelli got married a few days ago in Greece but is back with the squad. Martin Ødegaard is due back next week. The England players after that and the Spanish contingent last of all. William Saliba will miss a fair bit of time recovering from the back injury he played through at the end of the season and during the World Cup.
The Gunners are also expected to do a fair bit of business before the start of the season. A move for Bruno Guimaraes seems close. The rumors are swirling around a massive move for Vini Jr. The club intends to sign a CB to cover during Saliba's absence. They may also sign a right back — Jurrien Timber is still recovering from the groin problem that kept him out of the World Cup.

Arsenal are stepping up efforts to sign Kolkheti 1913 attacker Andria Bartishvili, according to the BBC reporter Sami Mokbel. The Gunners missed out on Jeremy Monga after the England youth international snubbed the Emirates Stadium club for Manchester City. ***** nal are looking elsewhere and the 17-year-old Bartishvili has emerged as a target as Mikel Arteta looks to strengthen his ranks at the North London club. The Gunners are monitoring the Georgia under-21 international, sending recruitment specialist Micheli to watch him play for Iberia 1999 against Flora in their Champions League qualifier last Wednesday.
The 'very special' teenage sensation is currently on loan with Iberia 1999 and has been dubbed the biggest Georgian talent since Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. ***** nal are not the only Premier League keen on Bartishvili, with Liverpool also looking to bring him to England. The Emirates club will be desperate not to miss out on another talented attacker after the Monga blow. They are now stepping up efforts to sign him and could look to integrate him into the first-team immediately.
Bartishvili has played 39 games at senior level in the Georgian top-flight, weighing in with two goals and four ***** ists. Joining ***** nal could appeal to him as Arteta gives chances to the players in the Gunners' youth ranks. 16-year-old Max Dowman made 13 appearances across all competitions for the North Londoners last term and Bartishvili will get opportunities if he is good enough. A deal could be reached in the coming weeks if ***** nal and Kolkheti 1913 can come to an agreement.
