Aaron Rodgers is pushing back on Danica Patrick's version of their breakup.
More than six years after the former couple ended their relationship, Rodgers opened up about Patrick during a wide-ranging appearance on the "Not Just Football" podcast with Pittsburgh Steelers teammate Cam Heyward on Thursday, Sept. 10.
The 42-year-old quarterback directly addressed comments Patrick previously made about their relationship and disputed her description of how their split unfolded.
"She tells a story that, 'I was so blindsided by getting left by you, and he leaves a trail of blood around.' I'm like what are you talking about?" Rodgers said. "That is not what happened by any means."
Rodgers and Patrick began dating in 2018 and split in July 2020. Patrick, one of the most recognizable drivers in NASCAR history, has since spoken publicly about the emotional toll she says the relationship took on her.

There's no stopping Aaron Rodgers on Cam Heyward's "Not Just Football" podcast. The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback opened up about his past relationships, including one with former NASCAR star Danica Patrick.
Rodgers refuted Patrick's account of their breakup and said Patrick had presented a version of their relationship that made him look like a "monster of a partner."
Rodgers said Patrick was struggling emotionally during their relationship, especially after she retired from full-time racing in 2018.
"I dated Danica. She had just retired. She was depressed and not fun to be around," Rodgers said.
He claimed he stayed to support her and be a good partner, even as their relationship began to fall apart. Rodgers claims that the couple eventually reached a point where their relationship had become distant.

Aaron Rodgers came out swinging against ex-girlfriend Danica Patrick over comments she made about their breakup.
The 42-year-old Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback and 44-year-old retired NASCAR racer dated for two years before eventually splitting for good in July 2020. Their relationship came up in Rodgers' lengthy interview for the Thursday, September 10, episode of the Not Just Football podcast, as he opened up about exes who speak about him in the press.
"No one cares what they have to say until they use my name. I dated two women who **** ody gives a [expletive] about unless they drop my name," said the football star. "They like to say their version of the history, what actually happened, so I'm just this monster of a partner and it's just [expletive] [expletive]. Number one, why you still talking about it, it's been years?"
He then turned his attention to Patrick, saying that when they dated, "She had just retired, she was depressed, and not fun to be around."
"But I didn't leave her, because I was trying to be a good partner," he continued. "Then it was going a certain direction, obviously. There was no intimacy. There was nothing. And I'm buying a house in Malibu and she goes, 'Would you want to buy it together?,' and I said, 'No.'"

You never know what Aaron Rodgers is going to say when he's behind a mic, and a new Not Just Football podcast with Pittsburgh Steelers teammate Cam Heyward served as a fresh reminder.
Most recently, Rodgers broke his silence on his public breakup with ex-girlfriend Danica Patrick
Rodgers and the former NASCAR star broke up in 2020 after dating for nearly two years. Following their breakup, Patrick accused him of being "emotionally abusive" during their relationship. Rodgers is now sharing his side of the story.
The 42-year-old NFL signal-caller took shots at Patrick for being "depressed" during their relationship, and ultimately cited a lack of intimacy and her "not fun to be around" as reasons for calling it quits.

Aaron Rodgers is dropping more clues about the woman he says he's married to.
During the Thursday, September 10, episode of the Not Just Football with Cam Heyward podcast, the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback, 42 — who has kept his wife, Brittani, entirely out of the spotlight — was asked if she actually existed given what's been said online.
"Yeah," Rodgers said, adding that he doesn't care about what others may think.
"In 2017, I met my wife, and at the time she was leaving the States and going back to Europe," he began. "And my biggest regret is not begging her to stay or just proposing right there because that sent me into a tailspin."
The Super Bowl champ had two failed relationships after that. He dated former pro race car driver Danica Patrick from 2018 to 2020, and then he was in a relationship with Shailene Woodley, whom he was engaged to in 2021.

The world lost a national treasure when Dolly Parton passed away on August 25 at the age of 80, but if there's one silver lining we can take away from her death, it's been all the wonderful stories that have been retold about her over the past couple of weeks. As celebrities paid tribute to the country music legend, many of them regaled fans with stories about working with Parton or the best advice she ever gave. Danica McKellar crossed paths with her for a Hallmark movie, and it sounds like she had quite the work ethic.
Like most of Dolly Parton's fans, I know her reputation for hard work — it's really no surprise when you consider her blue-collar background and the meaning behind her song "9 to 5" — but Danica McKellar got to witness that work ethic first-hand when she co-starred with Parton in Christmas at Dollywood in 2019. McKellar said the country music star was "everything that you hope she could possibly be and much more." She told Fox News:
She told me she only slept three to five hours a night. She was always dreaming stuff up and just busy. She'd sleep on her big travel bus if she was traveling and doing things and wake up early in the morning. ... She did her own hair and makeup, her own wig and her own makeup. And she'd get to work.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's statement against Elon Musk has sparked political career rumors. According to an expert, the ***** ss of Sussex could allegedly be trying to move into politics with this move. Previously, the Sussexes released a lengthy statement through their charitable organization, Archewell Philanthropies. In it, they criticized the trillionaire's company X for failing to protect women and kids from online "predators."
Meghan Markle sparked rumors about opting for a political career after the Elon Musk statement. During a News24 interview, TalkTV host Samara Gill questioned if the ***** ss is "trying to sort of launch a political career." The discussion started when reporter Danica De Giorgio asked her opinion on the Sussexes intervening in the Minnesota lawsuit drama. They questioned why Markle would grab attention through a controversial statement when she often reportedly requested "privacy."
Gill claimed that Markle and Harry "constantly invade their own privacy." Furthermore, she wondered why the Sussexes got "so political" with their statement berating Musk's move against the Minnesota lawsuit. "Is Meghan trying to sort of launch a political career potentially? Is this her going for governor of California?"
On the other hand, Gill also thought that Markle and Harry might just have wanted to have "an opinion about absolutely everything." She and Giorgio then advised the non-working royals not to intervene in the political matter.
For those unversed, Harry and Markle released a statement, more like an article, on their official Archewell Philanthropies website. The ***** le read, "Can we all agree technology should not enable predators to target children?" Meanwhile, the content was about Minnesota passing a "ban on AI 'nudification' apps." They also mentioned a "trillionaire leader of the tech company responsible for X's Grok" trying to stop the law. Although they didn't name Musk directly, the line made it evident.
