As we are all well aware of, it has been an interesting summer for Juventus and their new CEO, Giovanni Carnevali. The transfer window has been one that has been slow to develop, but it's also one in which the majority of the Bianconeri's signings thus far have been ones in which we haven't really seen coming. That, of course, doesn't involve the long-standing negotiations that multiple Juve sporting chiefs had with Paris Saint-Germain for striker Randal Kolo Muani, a deal that is actually about to cross the finish line.
No, really. It is. Juventus are about to sign Kolo Muani after Carnevali reportedly got things done earlier this week.
We also know this because Carnevali himself told us that same exact thing during an interview on Thursday night in which he touched on Kolo Muani and the big surprise that came shortly after news broke of there being an agreement with the two-time defending European champions: the deal for Bosnian teenager Kerim Alajbegović.
On Kolo Muani front, Carnevali said the following:
"We're finalizing the deal for Kolo Muani now. It's been a long-running negotiation. When I arrived at Juve, I read the newspapers and thought it was a done deal, but it wasn't. There were some difficulties, and we needed to mend relations with PSG, remedying previous problems. We're finalizing the deal right now and we're in the final phase."

The long — very, very, very long — negotiations for Randal Kolo Muani are now a thing of the past, with Wednesday bringing the news that Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain had finally agreed to a deal for the 27-year-old Frenchman. It won't be too long before Kolo Muani is walking through the doors at J Medical again, undergoing his medicals and then shaking hands with Giovanni Carnevali and Luciano Spalletti.
The saga is officially a thing of the past.
For that fact let us be thankful.
But as we know, there's still a ton of work to be done on this roster by Carnevali and his new right-hand man Frederic Massara. We also know that Wednesday also brought news that Juventus have agreed to a deal with Bayer Leverkusen for Bosnian teenager Kerim Alajbegović, who is another move seemingly out of nowhere without nearly as much of a build-up as the Kolo Muani saga.
Carnevali and Massara still have plenty of work to do — maybe too much to count when you factor in there's still a lot of deadweight to try and clear from the roster before the summer window closes.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Juventus are interested in USMNT striker Folarin Balogun and are preparing the first offer to sign Franck Kessié as a free agent.
Juventus have made just one summer signing so far, welcoming Italian winger Jeff Ekhator from Genoa, but new directors Giovanni Carnevali and Frederic Massara are working to give coach Luciano Spalletti more reinforcements.
According to Gazzetta, the Serie A giants are ready to send an offer to sign ex-Milan and Atalanta star Franck Kessié as a free agent.
The 29-year-old refused to sign a contract extension with Al-Ahli and is open to returning to Serie A, but his agent has demanded over €5m in signing bonus, Gazzetta claims.

Juventus have revived their interest in Fikayo Tomori, roughly 18 months after a move for the Milan defender collapsed when the player turned it down.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, via CalcioMercato, the Bianconeri are once again weighing up the centre-back, drawn to his experience and Serie A grounding, a profile that fits Luciano Spalletti's wishes.
Any deal, however, depends on outgoings. Giovanni Carnevali's hierarchy want to lighten the squad before adding to it, and Federico Gatti is among those who could make way.
Squeezed out by Bremer and seeking more regular minutes, Gatti would command a fee that generates a healthy profit, with Napoli and moves to Turkey lingering in the background as possible routes out.

Thursday's reports claim that Juventus are open to the idea of welcoming Dusan Vlahovic back to the club after the expiry of his contract on June 30, but only on the conditions laid out by the club's new CEO Giovanni Carnevali.
Vlahovic is currently a free agent after seeing his contract with Juventus expire at the end of June.
The Bianconeri had tried for over a year to get the Serbia international to commit to a new deal, but they were ultimately unsuccessful under the reign of former CEO Damien Comolli.
During the final year of his Juventus contract, Vlahovic was the highest-paid player in Serie A with a net salary of around €12m. The Old Lady were always aware of the fact that they would need to convince the striker into taking a pay cut if a renewal were to go ahead.
Despite months of back and forth, an agreement was never reached and Vlahovic is now available on a free transfer.

Juventus have made an enquiry about Parma striker Mateo Pellegrino, according to Gianluigi Longari, as they continue to weigh up their attacking options this summer.
Randal Kolo Muani remains the priority up front, Luciano Spalletti’s clear preference, with talks ongoing, but the Bianconeri are casting a wider net.
In Longari’s report, via AlfredoPedulla.com, Pellegrino’s name came up as a player Juventus have asked about, the Argentine forward coming off an impressive season at Parma.

Interestingly, the interest in Pellegrino reportedly surfaced during Juventus’s contacts over goalkeeper Zion Suzuki, another Parma man.

June 30 is upon us and a list of 49 Serie A players are set to become available on free transfers by the end of the day, none more prominent than Juventus's Dusan Vlahovic, for whom a new deal appears increasingly unlikely.
19 out of the 20 clubs competing in the 2026-27 Serie A season have at least one player into the final day of their contracts on Tuesday – Atalanta are the only side with none.
Some clubs remain in talks over extensions, such as Roma with the likes of Paulo Dybala and Zeki Celik, or Inter with Henrikh Mkhitaryan, but for Vlahovic, the situation remains less clear.
Juventus CEO Giovanni Carnevali confirmed on Monday that he has 'never' spoken to Vlahovic about a contract extension, but added that "Anything is possible in football, there can be possibilities tomorrow that do not exist tomorrow. He's a great player but today, he's not in our thoughts."

Reports in Italy claim that Juventus have a ‘full’ agreement on salary and contract length with Randal Kolo Muani as CEO Giovanni Carnevali prepares for a series of face-to-face talks with his counterparts at PSG.
According to reports from Tuttosport, Kolo Muani ‘wants’ to return to Juventus, where he hit eight goals from 16 Serie A appearances while on loan with the Old Lady in the second half of the 2024-25 season.

Recent reports claimed that the Frenchman was willing to reduce the salary he currently earns at PSG in order to facilitate a return to Italy, and Tuttosport now claims that there is a full agreement on personal terms in place for a five-year deal worth around €5m per season in wages.
This would make Kolo Muani the third-highest earner at the club behind Kenan Yildiz and Jonathan David ****** uming that he stays at the Allianz Stadium.

Luciano Spalletti and new Juventus CEO Giovanni Carnevali spent an evening together at the renowned Il Fortino restaurant in Forte dei Marmi this week, sharing a table with Adriano Galliani, Massimiliano Allegri and Giovanni Rossi in what has become one of Italian football’s most well-known informal networking spots.
The dinner was social in nature, full of anecdotes, laughter and wine, though in a gathering of this calibre, transfer business is never entirely off the menu, as noted by Tuttosport.
Forte dei Marmi is a traditional summer meeting point for football’s movers and shakers, with Spalletti, Allegri and Galliani having previously shared tables there alongside figures including Gianluca Zambrotta and former Genoa president Enrico Preziosi.

The most intriguing presence at the table was Giovanni Rossi, the 60-year-old sporting director who left Olympique Marseille in February and previously worked under Carnevali at Sassuolo.

After just one season in Turin, Damien Comolli has left Juventus. The former AS Monaco academy manager announced his departure from Juventus on Friday following another dismal campaign in which the Italian giants finished sixth in Serie A.
On X, the former Toulouse FC president said: “I have decided to step down from my position of Chief Operating Officer of Juventus FC with immediate effect. I would like to thank John Elkann and Exor for giving me the opportunity to work for this amazing football club.”
His tenure at the Italian team was a mutual decision, with the club already naming his successor. Giovanni Carnevali has been appointed as the new general manager and managing director.
Juventus failed to qualify for the UEFA Champions League last season, finishing the domestic campaign with 69 points, one fewer than the previous one. They were knocked out of the Champions League last season in the playoffs against Galatasaray.
The 54-year-old, born in Béziers, has a lengthy resume, having worked in French and English football for several years. He’d previously served as sporting director on two occasions for AS Saint-Étienne, along with Liverpool and Fenerbahçe.
