On a cold November morning, designer Isaac Mizrahi gets up, leaves his apartment, and trudges to the corner newsstand to pick up a copy of Women's Wear Daily. It's the day after Mizrahi's Spring/Summer 1994 show, and the ink on the reviews is still wet. Reading from the pages, he quotes, "'His usually great color sense failed him, his fabric sense failed him, and certainly, his sense of how a modern woman dresses after 8 p.m. failed him." The verdict is withering. Mizrahi, one of the great artists of '90s ready-to-wear fashion, has been tossed out. Disgraced. Lightly "cancelled," as some might call it these days.
Douglas Keeve's sublime 1995 documentary, "Unzipped," follows Mizrahi in the aftermath of a train wreck, piecing his reputation back together with his next collection, attempting to make something beautiful from the rubble. We find Mizrahi's world in grayscale, drained of color in the wake of critical and cultural failure. Then, the opening notes of Sandra Bernhard's 1994 cover of Sylvester's "You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)" cue the pigmentation, cascading over bright images of models in fittings, garments hanging from racks, and plenty of DayGlo faux furs. In her version, Bernhard alters the lyrics to pay tribute to Sylvester, whose untimely death left an immense legacy. "Sylvester, sister," Bernhard coos, "You were so beautiful, you were so fragile, you were so . . . real."
But just before Bernhard finishes the word, the song fades to silence, as if to say that realness — genuine authenticity in your life and work, at the cost of criticism — will always be snuffed out before it can be fully appreciated. That is the price of beauty. What is up must always come down.

After years in cinematic obscurity — the film hasn't been readily available outside of the eBay market in decades — "Unzipped" will return to theaters later this month, with a loving 4K restoration from Janus Films, just as another fashion-world controversy is heating up. Earlier this week, the Metropolitan Museum of Art declared it would no longer proceed with its Costume Institute's upcoming exhibition honoring John Galliano, scheduled to debut next year. When the scrapped "John Galliano: Horizons" was announced in July, the exhibition was immediately met with an outpouring of criticism. Detractors accused the museum of being tone deaf, citing a 2011 video of Galliano going on a drunken antisemitic and racist rant at a Paris bar, for which Galliano was promptly ousted from his spot as creative director at Dior. Following the video surfacing, Galliano apologized, went to rehab, and, over the last few years, experienced a brand resurgence that some would call a whitewashing.

On Sunday, offensive tackle Luke Tenuta was on the Indianapolis Colts' initial 53-man roster. On Monday afternoon, he was released to make room for defensive back Kapena Gushiken, who was claimed on waivers.
Then on Monday evening, Tenuta was signed to the Colts' practice squad.
Tenuta was in line to be the Colts' swing tackle off the bench on the 53-man roster, and he still very well could be.
As of now, there are only eight offensive linemen on the active roster, and the next man up currently behind Bernhard Raimann and Jalen Travis may very well be Matt Goncalves -- the team's starting right guard.
Unless an addition is made between now and Week 1, Tenuta is a primed practice squad elevation to provide tackle depth. Practice squad players can be elevated up to three times over the course of a season.

For most of three quarters, it looked like the old Denver Outlaws were finally back. The team filled with All-Pro stars that was one play away from a ***** le a year ago showed up in full force early against the California Redwoods, looking certain to book a spot in the semifinals.
But despite the harrowing final quarter of play, Denver's stars — led by a late Jared Bernhardt goal — had enough in the tank to secure a 15-14 quarterfinal win Saturday night in Minneapolis.
"It's win and advance at this point of the season," head coach Tim Soudan said.
The Outlaws have yet to play a four-quarter game. It's been a point of consternation for the team all season long. That vice nearly cost them their season against California.
Denver was exceptional in the first two-and-a-half quarters. The first half was one of the best displays from the team all season long. Fresh off of injured reserve, Pat Kavanagh was an MVP-level quarterback.

Nike (NYSE:NKE) shares recently fell to new lows in about 12 years amid rising competition and falling sales. Despite the plunge, the stock's forward P/E still sits at 23.38, a 46% premium to the sector median of 15.99. There is another, smaller competitor that is gaining attention.
On Holding (NYSE:ONON) insiders are piling into the stock. The stock is down about 33% so far this year. The athletic footwear and apparel company's CEO Caspar Coppetti and co-founder Olivier Bernhard each purchased 65,000 shares on August 14.
The buying came just a few days after the company missed Q2 revenue estimates and cut full-year sales guidance.
What Happened
On Holdings' revenue in Q2 grew 22% at constant currency, a deceleration of about 480 basis points from the quarter prior. Wholesale grew just 12.7%. Management said the wholesale slowdown was largely deliberate and concentrated in the Americas, where the company held back shipments to retailers to avoid discounting rather than protect volume.

The 28-year-old starting left bookend started all 17 games for the Colts this past season.

It has become harder for direct-indexing strategies to generate the tax losses that underpin much of their appeal, said Eddie Bernhardt, head of SMAs at Invesco. But an innovative strategy is gaining popularity. Maintaining both long and short positions on stocks, opening up additional opportunities to realize tax losses in different market environments.
Here's how it works: In a rising market, short positions can generate tax-loss harvesting opportunities when those stocks move higher. Conversely, long positions can generate harvestable losses as stock prices decline. "You're generating realized loss potential in various markets, and you're extending the life of loss generation in a portfolio," Bernhardt said. While ***** et managers say the approach can help wealthy clients offset gains from concentrated stock positions, advisors caution such strategies add complexity and aren't a substitute for comprehensive tax planning.

Ahead of the 2026 NFL season, one **** yst believes that the Indianapolis Colts have one of the better offensive line units in the league.
Jacob Camenker of USA Today recently ranked all 32 offensive line units, and coming in at No. 8 were the Colts.
This unit is headlined by left tackle Bernhard Raimann and left guard Quenton Nelson, who form a wall on the left side of the line.
Raimann tied for 14th in PFF's pass-blocking grade in 2025, while Nelson ranked 13th among guards. Running back Jonathan Taylor averaged 5.8 yards per rush running their direction as well, per PFF.
At center, Tanor Bortolini had a strong first year as a starter. Over 566 pass-blocking snaps, he did not allow a single sack. Among all centers, he ranked 16th in pass-blocking efficiency and third in PFF's run-blocking grade.

Paul Wackerly isn't just satisfied that he's playing in the U.S. Senior Open this week.
"I'm here to compete. I'm not just happy to make it," he said. "(My goal) is to finish as high as I can."
Wackerly, 53, who lives in Minerva, will be playing against more than 150 other golfers, including three other Ohioans and six World Golf Hall of Famers. The tournament begins July 2 at the Scioto Country Club in Columbus.
The field includes golf legends such as Stewart Cink, Ernie Els, Padraig Harrington, Bernhard Langer and Dave Love III.
