Portsmouth boss John Mousinho has eased concerns over Jayden Meghoma after the defender was forced off during his side's win over Cardiff.
The Brentford loanee impressed on his Pompey debut before being replaced after 65 minutes.
But Mousinho confirmed the 20-year-old was suffering from cramp.
"Jayden was excellent," Mousinho told Portsmouth News. "He showed some really good glimpses in the first half of how he can drive away from players and what he gives you in the final third.
"The temptation is to say he's an attacking full-back, but he is very, very good defensively as well in the one-v-one.

Bristol City will travel to Deepdale this evening to take on Preston, as they look to pick up back-to-back wins in the Championship.
The Robins got their first three points on the board on Saturday, beating Portsmouth 2-1 in front of a packed Ashton Gate. Lorent Tolaj opened the scoring by netting his first Championship goal, before Jason Knight headed home a second on the hour mark. A late penalty for Pompey made for a nervy final few minutes in the South West, but Michael Skubala's side ultimately got over the line.
Preston, meanwhile, have lost their opening three matches to Bolton, Wolves and most recently Charlton Athletic, giving cause for concern amongst fans ahead of taking on a side that will be aiming for a play-off spot come May, whilst the Lilywhites are more worried about securing their spot in this division for next season.
Preston have underperformed their xG so far this season, creating enough chances to have scored three goals, but only netting two so far. They have also only registered an average of two shots on target per match, the lowest in the league. By contrast, the Robins have netted four goals in their last two outings, against Birmingham City and Portsmouth, with both Tolaj and Dom Ballard opening their accounts in the process.
Bristol City have picked up four points from their last two trips to Deepdale; it arguably should be six, but Anis Mehmeti failed to make his chances count last year, meaning the game finished 0-0. Max Bird, Yu Hirakawa and Nahki Wells were on the scoresheet the year before, as Liam Manning's side picked up a 3-1 win. Preston won the last meeting between these sides 2-0, back in January, when Lewis Dobbin and Alfie Devine found the net.

We asked for your thoughts after QPR's 3-1 win against Portsmouth at Fratton Park on Saturday.
Here are some of your comments:
Portsmouth fans
Cynthia: It is the same defensive frailties that Pompey have shown for the last couple of seasons. They need to invest in better quality players in defence rather than spend on midfield and attack. Build a team on a strong defence that spreads confidence to the rest of the team.

Portsmouth defender Regan Poole is not thinking about going into the new Championship season in the final year of his contract.
The 28-year-old has made 82 league appearances for Pompey, scoring four goals after joining in July 2023.
"I'm in the last year of my contract, but I play every game like it's my last anyway, and I don't think I'll be changing," Poole told BBC Radio Solent.
"I was delighted to sign my new contract when I did the season before last, and I'll be hoping to do that again, and I need to show I'm capable of performing at this level.
"I hope I've shown that, but every season is different, and hopefully I can be at this football club for a little bit longer."

Portsmouth head coach John Mousinho revealed that summer speculation over a potential move to fellow Championship side Bristol City was based on legitimate interest from the Robins.
Following the close of a second consecutive season where Mousinho had ensured that Pompey maintained their Championship status, talk was rife on social media about a potential move to Ashton Gate.
At one stage it looked like Mousinho may have been on his way, but with pre-season now getting back under way and Bristol City appointing Michael Skubala as their new head coach, Mousinho admitted that the talk never got further than conversations with his agent.
"The interest from Bristol City was real," he told BBC Radio Solent.
"That was something at the start of the summer that came from club to agent, and there was a conversation there.

Can Portsmouth nail the summer transfer window?
They certainly did in John Mousinho and Richard Hughes' first summer together in 2023, constructing a squad that won promotion from League One.
Three of last season's first choice back four arrived in that summer. The past two years have been more of a mixed bag, with Championship survival requiring good January windows.
They still need to secure their own free agents. New deals have been offered to Zak Swanson and Connor Ogilvie but no announcements have been made. It is understood the club remain confident that both will be Pompey players again next season.
That would take the squad up to 25 senior players, effectively needing someone to leave for every player over the age of 21 coming in. Given there is plenty of strengthening required this is likely to mean a good few departures.
