The time has finally come for Behind the Steel Curtain's most prestigious tradition: The Isaac Redman Award.
Now over a decade old (and with its own section on Wikipedia), the award, in the words of former BTSC editor Neal Coolong, is to be given to "the unheralded Steelers player who came from the furthest reaches of obscurity to reach general heightened fame and appeal among Steelers fans."
As originally stated in that 2014 article, the basic rules are as follows:
Player must not be a draft pick higher than the sixth round
Player can only have participated in two other training camps prior to this one

When you find out an actor whose work you enjoy is blatantly racist and antisemitic in real life, does that realization ruin every movie they've been a part of?
What about an author who has expressed harmful opinions about a marginalized group? What about a smart, witty comedian who turns out to be a serial ******* ual ******* aulter? Where do you draw the line between a creator and their creation? As someone with his feet in both worlds, actor Wil Wheaton weighed in on that question and offered a refreshingly reasonable perspective back in 2021.
"Question: I have more of an opinion question for you. When fans of things hear about misconduct happening on sets/behind-the-scenes are they allowed to still enjoy the thing? Or should it be boycotted completely? Example: I've been a major fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer since I was a teenager and it was currently airing. I really nerded out on it and when I lost my Dad at age 16. 'The Body' episode had me in such cathartic tears. Now we know about Joss Whedon. I haven't rewatched a single episode since his behavior came to light. As a fan, do I respectfully have to just box that away? Is it disrespectful of the actors that went through it to knowingly keep watching?"

And Wheaton offered this response, which he shared:

Former President Barack Obama gave his infamous tan suit a comeback for a segment in Larry David's limited HBO series Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness.
"People always ask me where the tan suit came from. I think it's time the truth finally came out," Obama posted to X on Saturday, sharing part of the scene between him and David.
In the sketch, it turns out David is the one responsible for the fashion choice, which ignited a media firestorm after he wore it during a 2014 press conference. Obama received backlash from critics who felt the color choice was unpresidential. Today you the entire ordeal has its own Wikipedia page.
In the scene, Obama is getting ready for his press conference and David asks for a sip of his smoothie, a request Obama refuses.
When the president leaves the room, David sneaks a sip and ends up ruining the navy blue suit that Obama planned to wear. He then tries distracting Obama by recommending the tan suit because it's "casual Friday."

Summerslam 2026 rocked U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota Saturday night. That six-match card only got us halfway through the event.
The second-biggest WWE premium live event of the year -- in terms of overall length, at least -- continues Sunday evening. That's when four ***** les, including the WWE Women's Championship and the World Heavyweight championship, will be put up for grabs as superstars try to etch their name... well, not quite among the immortals, but in a handful of surprisingly dense Wikipedia biographies.
Night two begins August 2 at 6 p.m. ET and can be found through ESPN Unlimited. As always, this card is subject to change. A (c) next to a competitors name denotes the reigning champion when applicable.
Charlotte Flair vs. Chelsea Green vs. Jade Cargill vs. Tiffany Stratton vs. Giulia or Lash Legend in a ladder match for the Interim WWE Women's Championship
Trick Williams (c) vs. Baron Corbin for the WWE United States Championship

Hugh Freeze's eyes got big a few years ago when someone pointed out Kirby Smart took Georgia to the national championship game in his second season.
Freeze had been busy trying to downplay expectations early in his Auburn tenure, and he literally could not believe the reality of Smart's success timeline.
"His second (year)? Phew," Freeze said back then. "I don't know that that's accurate, but, um, anyway … "
Wikipedia exists to remind us Smart did indeed take Georgia to the national ****** le game in his second season, which infamously ended on 2nd-and-26 with the Bulldogs losing to Alabama in overtime.
Smart's bio also reminds us he didn't win his first national championship until his sixth season.

Typically, the exorbitant price paid for a major-league sports franchise goes into private pockets. The proceeds from the $9.612 billion sale of the Seahawks will, like every **** et distributed by the Paul G. Allen Estate, go to charity.
"Excited to be part of this great franchise," Vinod Khosla, the leader of the group that will be buying the team, said on Twitter. "Also excited to see the money all go to a non-profit."
In that respect, the delayed sale of the team following the passing of Paul Allen has worked to the significant benefit of the charity that will benefit from the transaction. Three years after the Commanders sold for a then-record $6.05 billion, the bar has been raised by more than 50 percent.
Khosla, 71, also posted a link to his Wikipedia page. In 1976, Khosla came to the U.S. from India to pursue a degree in biomedical engineering. He co-founded Sun Microsystems in 1982. Four years later, he joined venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins as a general partner.
A leading venture capitalist, he prefers the term "venture **** istant."

Scottie's real gift is when he checks Wikipedia's statistics. I put the 9 majors in for ya buddy. There are 4 majors every year, and Tiger and Phil haven't won in the last 15 years. McElroy has 3. So the Commish is wrong with the two number. It's 9 I counted them.
