For Dylan Sprouse, growing up on set may have not been the suite life after all.
The actor, 34, made his screen debut when he was just an infant in 1993, with him and his twin brother Cole Sprouse trading appearances on the sitcom Grace Under Fire.

But it would be 2005, when they were 12 years old, when they became America's new favorite set of twins when they began starring as Zack and Cody Martin in Disney's The Suite Life of Zack & Cody.
They continued with the show's spin-off, The Suite Life on Deck, until 2011, and Dylan continues to act. But on a new episode of his podcast, Wildmen with Brendan Columbus (the son of filmmaker Chris Columbus), he compared his work as a child star to "child labor."

Dylan Sprouse had barely started his question before warning the two theater people sitting across from him that they might not like where it was going.
During the August 25 episode of Wildmen, Sprouse told cohost Brendan Columbus and comedian Gianmarco Soresi that moving from California to New York exposed him to a theater culture he initially struggled to understand. "It took me a while to get along with any theater person because I do...find them intensely nerdy," he said, according to Entertainment Weekly.
His problem had a soundtrack. At NYU, some of Sprouse's new theater friends would suddenly break into show tunes during ordinary conversations. He was coming from California and listening to Avenged Sevenfold, which he readily admitted was "equally as nerdy."
The judgment did not last. Sprouse said moving to New York eventually changed his understanding of people who deeply love theater, even if he still does not routinely seek out Broadway shows himself.
Sprouse introduced the subject by asking Columbus and Soresi, "Can I ask you both this as theater people?" He then acknowledged that his reaction to theater enthusiasts was not particularly charitable when he first encountered more of them.

Dylan Sprouse has revealed that one of the rare celebrity encounters that left him genuinely starstruck also changed his relationship with cigarettes. The actor recently looked back on an unexpected interaction with David Lynch, explaining why the brief encounter stayed with him long after the two went their separate ways.
During an Aug. 4 appearance on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, Sprouse recalled having dinner at Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles with Barbara Palvin and friends when he heard Lynch speaking at a nearby table.
Sprouse, a longtime Lynch fan, said he immediately recognized the filmmaker's voice. Palvin encouraged him to introduce himself, but Sprouse resisted because he did not want to interrupt Lynch while he was eating.
Instead, he stepped outside for a cigarette. A short time later, Lynch entered the smoking area and asked Sprouse for a cigarette and a light. Sprouse handed him both.
The Chateau Marmont encounter soon took an unexpected turn when Laura Dern joined Lynch. Sprouse recalled watching Lynch pull a fresh pack of cigarettes and a lighter from his own pocket for Dern, leaving him to wonder whether the director had actually needed to borrow anything from him.

Mason Gooding reflected on his childhood, which was heavily influenced by his father's acting career and subsequent spotlight
Cuba Gooding Jr.'s long absences for work led to "speed-parenting," Mason said
"You're so positive and charismatic in these interviews, and then you come home and it's a different guy," Mason recalled thinking of his father
Mason Gooding is opening up about growing up while his father, Cuba Gooding Jr., was in the spotlight.
The Scream 7 star, 29, reflected on the conflicting versions of his father he experienced during his childhood while on Dylan Sprouse and Brenden Columbus's Wildmen podcast on July 28. Cuba, the 58-year-old son of singer Cuba Gooding, gained fame and acclaim as an actor with roles in Boyz n the Hood in 1991 and Jerry Maguire in 1996 — welcoming Mason in the same year as the latter.
