Jorge Martin converted pole position into a commanding victory in the British Grand Prix sprint to extend his lead at the top of the MotoGP standings.
The Spaniard nailed the start and then led every lap of the half-distance race at Silverstone, only facing a brief threat from Trackhouse's Ai Ogura during the middle stages before pulling comfortably clear in the final laps.
With Marco Bezzecchi finishing third behind team-mate Martin and Ogura, Aprilia secured its first-ever sprint podium lockout, even as Raul Fernandez crashed out early on.
At the start of the race, Martin made a clean start from pole, with Ogura jumping to second as his team-mate Fernandez slipped to sixth.
Meanwhile, Marco Bezzecchi and Marc Marquez engaged in a close battle for fourth behind Ogura and Fabio di Giannantonio, the pair making contact at Turn 4 before the factory Ducati rider found a way past into Stowe.

Marc Marquez won the Germany MotoGP Grand Prix on Sunday as the Spaniard equalled Italian legend Giacomo Agostini's record of 10 premier class wins on a single circuit.
The seven-time world champion started on pole as he glided to a dominant win at the Sachsenring, 1.996sec ahead of Aprilia-Trackhouse's Ai Ogura in second with the **** anese rider's Spanish teammate Raul Fernandez completing the podium.
Marquez, on his Ducati, also won Saturday's sprint race to further cement his reputation as the 'King of the Ring', as he moved to 190 points at the halfway point of the 22-race season.
"(I'm) super, super happy. You know, it was a special weekend," the 33-year-old said.
"I was super concentrated because... if I want to have any chance to win the championship, I need to attack here.

The Ducati rider took Saturday's sprint race ahead of younger brother Alex and also qualified fastest for Sunday's race, which he controlled from start to finish.
The Spaniard was 1.996 seconds ahead of the rest of the field with Aprilia-Trackhouse duo Ai Ogura and Raul Fernandez taking second and third.
It is the 33-year-old's 13th victory on the German track, his 10th in Moto GP and it sees him equal two records held by Italian legend Giacomo Agostini for the most wins at a single event and the most victories at the same circuit in the premier class.

The rumors are now confirmed. After announcing that Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins would be leaving the factory Yamaha MotoGP team at the end of the year, Yamaha have now signed Jorge Martin and Ai Ogura to take their places. Both moves could be seen as surprises, considering Yamaha's struggles recently, but we suspect lots of zeros were added to the contract to lure Jorge Martin (not to mention Martin secured his Aprilia exit after his antics last year trying to leave the team) and Ogura, though the latter might also be excited to ride for a **** anese manufacturer and provide input as part of the factory team.

Marc Marquez says that his team-mate Francesco Bagnaia’s victory in the Czech Grand Prix sprint proves that Ducati’s 2026 MotoGP bike is capable of winning the **** le.
Lining up third on the grid, Bagnaia grabbed the lead at the start on his factory Ducati, passing both polesitter Ai Ogura and VR46’s Fabio di Giannantonio on the run down to Turn 1.
For the remainder of the race, the three-time world champion came under intense pressure from the Trackhouse Aprilia rider, who closed in rapidly on him in the final laps.
But Bagnaia didn’t put a foot wrong and eventually crossed the finish line 0.241s ahead, claiming his first sprint win of 2026 and the fifth for Ducati in nine attempts.
More significantly, it allowed Ducati to close the gap to Aprilia in all three championships, particularly with points leader Marco Bezzecchi crashing out on the penultimate lap and Jorge Martin only managing fifth.
