The Los Angeles Rams came into Week 1 remarkably healthy, but one of their defensive starters suffered an injury in the first half of the opener against the San Francisco 49ers. Linebacker Omar Speights exited in the first half with a hip injury and the Rams are calling him questionable to return.
Second-year linebacker Shaun Dolac replaced Speights on defense next to Nate Landman. Speights started 16 games for the Rams last season and entered this year as a starter alongside Landman.
Update: Speights has returned to the game, taking the field again in the second quarter.

After setting their 53-man roster on Sunday, the Los Angeles Rams voted on 11 team captains for the 2026 season. Three of them are newcomers to the team, which shows what an impact they've already made in the locker room and on the practice field. Those newcomers are Myles Garrett, Trent McDuffie and Joe Cardona.
Matthew Stafford is a captain for the sixth straight year, while Davante Adams is a captain for the first time in his Rams career. Kyren Williams is back as a captain, while Tyler Higbee was also voted one by his teammates. Coleman Shelton is a first-time captain on offense, as well.
On defense, Kobe Turner, Nate Landman and Quentin Lake are repeat captains, with Garrett and McDuffie joining the mix. Cardona replaces Ethan Evans as a captain on special teams.

"I don't like powder, so it's usually my makeup artist fighting to put powder on me, and I'm saying no—I just would prefer to look shiny," she told NewBeauty in July 2026.
Larter's preference for a more lived-in complexion also aligns with the growing trend of choosing a glowy, skin-like perfection over an overly matte complexion – a beauty trend celebrity makeup artists call outdated in 2026. In lieu of consistent touch-ups, the actor's team opted for blotting papers to reduce some of the oils that accumulate throughout filming. "For longer days, if I am really sweaty — usually we're sweaty because it's Texas — they do a lot of blotting papers," she explained to the outlet. The simple swap kept excess oil at bay without sacrificing the fresh complexion and comfort she preferred.

Part of Ali Larter's complete transformation came from her commitment to skincare. During the demanding production schedule for "Landman," the actor used her lunch break to refresh her skin and her mindset before going back to filming. During the cast's 30-minute lunch break, she would remove her under-eye makeup to apply eye masks and meditate for 20 minutes before stepping back in front of the camera.

The 41-year-old "Son of a Sinner" singer – whose real name is Jason DeFord – filed for divorce from his podcaster wife, whose real name is Alisa DeFord, on May 18, according to court records reviewed by USA TODAY on Monday, June 15. A divorce filing obtained by the USA TODAY Network noted the couple separated on May 9. The couple had been married for 10 years.
In "Stripped Down" (published Feb. 17 from Dey Street Books), Bunnie takes readers back to their first meeting at his concert in Las Vegas and the spontaneous courthouse wedding shortly after. What follows is a whirlwind relationship involving the couple's custody battle for Jelly Roll's daughter from a previous marriage, an affair, an abrupt move out, a sour stint in marriage counseling and, eventually, reconciliation. The producers of "Landman" and "Yellowstone" have acquired the rights for a film adaptation of the memoir, Variety reported in March.
"If we're far from perfect now, we were farther then," she writes.
When the couple got full custody of Jelly Roll's daughter early in their relationship, they moved to Nashville. But, as Bunnie writes in her memoir, coming back to Nashville meant that "women from J's past were resurfacing."
