As officially announced this afternoon, Tuesday 11 August, Fortuna Düsseldorf have secured the services of Andreas Müller.
The 26-year-old joins the Red and Whites on loan from Karlsruhe SC and will wear the No.6 jersey for the 2026-27 campaign.
Müller, a native of Sinsheim, joined the youth academy of TSG Hoffenheim in 2009 and played for the club for eight years.
In July 2017, he joined the U-19 team of FC Astoria Walldorf and three seasons later, he made the move to 1.FC Magdeburg.
The 26-year-old then played for SV Darmstadt 98 for a further two campaigns and most recently for Karlsruhe.SC.

Fortuna Düsseldorf have publicly announced the capture of Philipp Förster for the upcoming 3.Liga campaign.
The attacking midfielder, who most recently played for Karlsruher SC, has joined Düsseldorf on a free transfer.
Förster has signed a year-long contract which will end on June 30, 2027, and will wear the number 10 jersey at Fortuna.
Born in Bretten, Baden, Förster came through the academies of Karlsruher SC and VfB Stuttgart before entering senior football.
He broke through first at Waldhof Mannheim and also had stints at 1.FC Nürnberg, SV Sandhausen, VfB Stuttgart, VfL Bochum, SV Darmstadt as well.

Another day of work for the Nerazzurri in Donaueschingen, home of Inter's pre-season training camp in Germany. As has become the routine during their stay in Germany, the Italian champions took to the pitch on Tuesday morning for the first training session of the day. Inter are continuing their preparations ahead of their first pre-season fixture, scheduled for Sunday 26 July against Karlsruher SC at the BBBank Wildpark, the home stadium of the Baden-Württemberg side.
As per their routine, the Nerazzurri took to the pitch in the afternoon: another day of double training sessions for Inter came to an end in Donaueschingen.

Darko Jekuac, a professor of sport psychology at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, told Front Office Sports that wins in Germany's first two matches generated a surge of optimism in the country that subsided into dismay and anger after the team's penalty shoot-out loss to Paraguay. "It was really surprising how fast the emotions and sentiment of the supporters changed," he said.

Deniz Ofli is taking the next step: The full-back is joining Karlsruher SC on a one-year loan. The 19-year-old is following in the footsteps of former Bayern Munich reserve player David Herold at the Baden-based second-division club. Ofli joined the youth academy of the record German champions in 2019, progressing through all the youth teams. Last season, he initially made 17 appearances for the U19s before playing nine Regionalliga matches for Holger Seitz’s first team after the winter break. The Turkish youth international has also made his debuts in the Champions League (Atalanta Bergamo) and the Bundesliga (VfB Stuttgart).
