Riverwater Partners, an investment management company, released its 'Small Cap Strategy' Q2 2026 investor letter. The letter can be downloaded here. The Small Cap Strategy underperformed the Russell 2000 in the second quarter as the benchmark experienced one of its strongest risk-on rallies in recent memory, although the strategy remained ahead year-to-date. The quarter was defined by accelerating AI investment, energy market disruptions, and renewed investor appetite for higher-beta stocks, creating headwinds for the firm's quality-focused approach and healthcare positioning. Despite this, stock selection contributed positively in energy, materials, and financials, while healthcare and consumer discretionary detracted due to the fund's disciplined avoidance of speculative businesses. Looking ahead, the firm remains cautiously optimistic, focusing on opportunities created by market dislocations, including AI infrastructure enablers, select consumer companies, healthcare innovators, and energy businesses trading below intrinsic value. The strategy continues to emphasize high-quality companies with strong management teams and attractive valuations, positioning the portfolio for a potential rotation away from speculative market leadership. In addition, please check the Strategy's top five holdings to know its best picks in 2026.
In its second-quarter 2026 investor letter, Riverwater Partners Small Cap Strategy highlighted Atmus Filtration Technologies Inc. (NYSE:ATMU). Atmus Filtration Technologies Inc. (NYSE:ATMU), a US-based filtration products manufacturer, known for its Fleetguard brand, detracted from the strategy's performance this quarter. On August 31, 2026, Atmus Filtration Technologies Inc. (NYSE:ATMU) closed at $47.23 per share. Filtration Technologies Inc. (NYSE:ATMU) fell 14.31% over the past month while its shares gained 5.47% over the past 52 weeks. Atmus Filtration Technologies Inc. (NYSE:ATMU) has a market capitalization of $3.85 billion with a 52-week trading range between $42.60 - $66.50.
Riverwater Partners Small Cap Strategy stated the following regarding Atmus Filtration Technologies Inc. (NYSE:ATMU) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"Atmus Filtration Technologies Inc. (NYSE:ATMU), the engine filtration business spun out of ******* mins (CMI), fell approximately 10% as readthroughs from the freight market turned mixed, with softer commentary on new truck builds and some margin pressure weighing on sentiment. We continue to like the durable, replacement-driven aftermarket core of the business, but we respected the change in tone and trimmed the position back to a standard weight during the quarter."

Santos FC is incorporating APS – Acqua Performance System into its high-performance structure, a methodology developed by Pai e Filho ****** soria, a national benchmark in large-scale and shared-use swimming pools. Created especially for high-performance sports, APS establishes a new concept in aquatic environment care, aimed at athletes' training, recovery, and preparation routines.
Unlike conventional pool treatment, APS is based on an athlete-focused approach. The methodology combines highly precise chemical management, continuous monitoring of water parameters, automation, filtration efficiency, and complementary technologies, seeking to provide a more controlled aquatic environment suited to the demands of a high-performance sports routine.
One of the system's main focuses is eliminating factors ****** ociated with respiratory, eye, and skin discomfort, especially in athletes exposed to the pool frequently.
APS is based on the principle that an aquatic environment developed specifically for high performance helps give athletes better conditions to train, carry out their recovery processes, and reach their full potential. By reducing factors that cause discomfort and more precisely controlling water conditions, the methodology seeks to improve the quality and consistency of training. Better preparation conditions allow athletes to get more out of each session and, as a result, contribute to the development of their sporting performance.
With more than 30 years of experience in shared-use pools, Pai e Filho ****** soria developed APS from the knowledge accumulated in the operation and management of large aquatic facilities. The methodology is intended exclusively for training centers and environments connected to high-performance sports.

On August 11, Bicara Therapeutics (NASDAQ:BCAX) used its second-quarter earnings call to deliver two headlines at once. CEO Claire Mazumdar announced she will step into a Vice Chair and Strategic Adviser role at the start of next year, handing the top job to President and Chief Operating Officer Ryan Cohlhepp. That handoff arrives just as the company points to fresh survival data for ficerafusp alfa, its lead drug candidate for frontline recurrent or metastatic HPV-negative head and neck cancer, and pushes its pivotal trial toward a critical readout.
At May's ASCO meeting, Bicara presented three-year follow-up data spanning roughly 90 patients across three dose cohorts, the longest follow-up reported for any investigational agent in HPV-negative head and neck cancer. At the 1,500 milligram weekly pivotal dose, about one in three patients was still alive at three years, roughly double the survival rate seen in retrospective **** yses of standard-of-care pembrolizumab in this population. Management ties that benefit to the drug's TGF-beta inhibition, which it says drives tumor penetration and immune cell infiltration rather than blocking a single pathway. Overall survival nearly doubled against the standard of care while the safety profile stayed consistent, the company said.
Execution on the pivotal Phase III FORTIFI-HN01 study has kept pace. Bicara says it is on track for substantial enrollment by the end of 2026, with more than 200 sites now active, positioning the trial for a mid-2027 interim readout that could open the door to accelerated approval. The company also launched FORTIFI-FLEX, a study of an every-three-week maintenance dose built on encouraging results from an exploratory every-two-week cohort shown earlier this year, with data targeted for the time of any U.S. approval decision. Beyond the core indication, Bicara points to early proof of concept in cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma and **** canal cancer, backed by roughly $497 million in cash that management says funds operations through the first half of 2029.
The leadership overhaul goes well beyond the CEO chair. Jenn Larson took over as Chief Financial Officer the day after the call, succeeding Ivan Hyep, who had a hand in raising over $800 million for the company since its early days. Two more transitions take effect in January: Chief Development Officer Tanya Green moves into the Chief Operating Officer seat, and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Jenna Cohen becomes Chief Business Officer. A new Chief Legal Officer and two new board members are joining as well, a lot of change concentrated in a single quarter right as the company approaches its most consequential trial milestone.

Brown Brothers Harriman, an investment management company, released its Q2 2026 investor letter for the "BBH Select Mid Cap ETF". A copy of the letter can be downloaded here. In the quarter, the fund increased 9.7% on a total return basis compared to the Russell Midcap Index's 13.8% return. Artificial intelligence is a key factor influencing market performance, with high-valuation and high-beta companies consistently outperforming others. The portfolio saw gains from being overweight in technology and industrials but missed opportunities due to underweighting more cyclical stocks. At the end of Q2 2026, the Fund held positions in 27 companies, with 48% of **** ets concentrated in the top 10 holdings. The Fund's strategy focuses on companies priced below intrinsic value to ensure a margin of safety, rather than on whether valuations are high or low. Additionally, reviewing the Fund's top five holdings could help identify its best picks for 2026.
In its Q2 2026 investor letter, BBH Select Series – Mid Cap ETF highlighted Entegris, Inc. (NASDAQ:ENTG). Headquartered in Billerica, Massachusetts, Entegris, Inc. (NASDAQ:ENTG) provides materials and process solutions for the semiconductor and other high-technology industries. On August 19, 2026, Entegris, Inc. (NASDAQ:ENTG) closed at $144.28 per share, reflecting a market capitalization of $22.05 billion. Entegris, Inc. (NASDAQ:ENTG) posted a one‑month return of 6.64%, while its shares gained 75.76% over the past 52 weeks.
BBH Select Series – Mid Cap ETF stated the following regarding Entegris, Inc. (NASDAQ:ENTG) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"For the quarter, the Fund's largest positive contributors were Entegris, Inc. (NASDAQ:ENTG) and Arista Networks Inc. (Arista), both clear beneficiaries of the AI infrastructure buildout. Entegris returned 53.5% during the quarter, ending with a weight of 6.4%. Entegris is a key supplier to the semiconductor industry of essential filtration products, materials, and related delivery equipment that enables the high precision fabrication of semiconductor chips. Entegris reported strong first quarter 2026 results and provided second quarter guidance above consensus with accelerating growth in second and third quarter 2026. This matches an upgraded view of industry end markets, with wafer volumes now expected to grow mid- to-high-single digits for 2026 and fab construction to grow high-single digits, both of which were low-single digits expectations just last quarter. Relatively new CEO Dave Reeder indicated a focus on gross margins when he started, and that is evident from the substantial im provement in first quarter 2026 that is expected to continue over the year. Gross margin of 46.9% was significantly above guidance of 44.5-45.5% and increased 310 basis points (bps)1 from fourth quarter 2025. Lastly, Entegris now aims to bring net leverage to 3.0x by year end, driven by robust free cash flow of at least $450m."

Management is executing a planned leadership transition, elevating Ryan Cohlhepp to CEO to leverage his commercial oncology experience as the company nears potential launch.
The company's strategic focus remains on the pivotal Phase III FORTIFI-HN01 study for HPV-negative head and neck cancer, which is on track for substantial enrollment by year-end.
Three-year follow-up data presented at ASCO 2026 demonstrated that TGF-beta inhibition nearly doubled overall survival versus standard of care pembrolizumab in the pivotal dose cohort.
Management attributes clinical success to the mechanistic foundation of TGF-beta inhibition, which drives deeper tumor penetration and immune cell infiltration compared to standard EGFR-directed therapies.

CAIRO (AP) — The Israeli military is quietly but quickly building a giant earthen barrier separating the over 50% of the Gaza Strip it controls from the rest of the territory, according to satellite imagery, further entrenching the division of the tiny Palestinian enclave.
More than 23 kilometers (14 miles) have been constructed in recent months, running through Palestinian communities demolished by the military. That is equivalent to more than half the length of the coastal strip, which is some 40 kilometers (25 miles) long and 11 kilometers (7 miles) wide, and home to over 2 million Palestinians.
When presented with the satellite images, Israel's military confirmed to The ******* ociated Press it has built a physical barrier in the area of the so-called yellow line, the boundary to which Israeli troops withdrew under the October ceasefire deal with Hamas. The line was envisioned in the U.S.-backed agreement as a temporary division of the territory pending a fuller Israeli withdrawal.
But as the truce stagnates, it appears Israel is digging in, heightening Palestinian fears that the line is morphing into a border. Neither U.S. Central Command, which is tasked with monitoring the ceasefire, nor the Board of Peace, the body led by U.S. President Donald Trump meant to eventually oversee Gaza, would comment on the barrier.
Along with the barrier, the military told AP it has developed a "security zone" around the line, equipped with intelligence and technological ******* ets. It declined to give details on the route of the barrier when asked how far it would be extended. It said the barrier aimed to prevent infiltration and protect Israeli troops and Israeli communities near Gaza.

The clock that was ticking down to economic disaster for Iraq on 27 July has been paused, with Turkey agreeing to a one-year temporary arrangement that ensures the continuation of critical oil exports running via pipelines from northern Iraq into the Turkish port of Ceyhan. The new one-year protocol covers the entire Iraq-Turkey Pipeline (ITP) corridor – comprising two separate oil pipelines – treating it as a single, unified mechanism, in line with the original 1973 'Crude Oil Pipeline Agreement'. These routes were made even more vital to Iraq's ability to monetise its oil flows following the effective closure of the Strait of Hormuz on 28 February and ongoing disruptions since then. Before that, around 95% of Iraq's crude was shipped through that route to key export destinations in Asia, including China, with over 90% of Baghdad's annual budget historically coming from those oil exports. As a result of the Strait's blockade, Iraq's oil storage tanks filled quickly to capacity, and with highly limited options for transporting its crude elsewhere, it was forced to shut down production wells. That, in turn, dramatically increased the risk of permanent damage to Iraq's oil production through a loss of reservoir pressure, water infiltration, and corrosion, among other factors. But how secure is this new arrangement with Turkey and what are the chances that a permanent solution will be agreed?
Related: Iran Strikes 5 Gulf Countries as Regional Escalation Continues
As it stands, according to a statement by Khazal Hostani, director general of contracts at the Kurdistan Region of Iraq's (KRI) Ministry of Natural Resources, the temporary protocol will keep more than 200,000 barrels per day (bpd) flowing through the Ceyhan pipeline corridor, in line with the volumes going through it immediately prior to the onset of the Strait of Hormuz crisis. That said, these flows through northern Iraq into Turkey had been significantly reduced – and for two and a half years, from March 2023, halted completely – following an international arbitration ruling by the International Chamber of Commerce's (ICC) on 13 February that year. The ICC had judged that Turkey pay Baghdad US$1.5 billion in damages for breaching the 1973 'Crude Oil Pipeline Agreement' by allowing the Erbil-based semi-autonomous KRI northern Iraqi region's government (the KRG) to circumvent the Baghdad-based Federal Government of Iraq (FGI) and export oil independently. Turkey then halted the flow of oil through the northern Iraq pipeline route, which at the time regularly exported approximately 450,000 bpd of crude from the Kirkuk region to Ceyhan. The prohibition on the KRG selling oil independently from the FGI had been a core condition of the 2014 agreement between Baghdad and Erbil, as laid out in a simple trade?off: the KRG would funnel the crude produced in its territory – roughly 550,000 barrels a day at the time – to the federal authorities for marketing through the state-owned State Organiza

The cost to repaint the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool has ballooned to more than $14.65 million -- exceeding the original estimated cost of the no-bid contract by more than $4 million, according to federal contract data.
In addition to the repainting by Atlantic Industrial Coatings, the National Park Service paid $1.74 million to Green Water Solutions, an Ohio-based company, earlier this year to install a "nano bubble" system to kill algae, using a similar no-bid contract to speed up the work in time for Fourth of July celebrations.
Between the two companies that received separate contracts for the resurfacing and filtration systems, the project is set to cost more than $16 million. The status of the payments to the contractors was not immediately available in the federal government's contract database.
The Interior Department said in a statement via X, "The advanced nanobubbler technology very effectively killed the algae that has plagued every Lincoln Reflecting Pool reopening—most infamously Obama's reopening—since 1922. The Reflecting Pool water is crystal clear, and our National Park Service team is now vacuuming up the dead algae resting on the bottom of some parts of the Reflecting Pool—just like the destroyed Iranian Navy resting on the bottom of the Persian Gulf."
Trump has repeatedly defended the project, though the new paint job -- described in the contract documents as a "seamless, monolithic, waterproof, antimicrobial, and anti-algae system suitable for continuous submersion" -- and appears to be peeling, and an algae bloom has overtaken the reflecting pool.

Madison Air Solutions Corporation (NYSE:MAIR) was among Jim Cramer's stock calls on Mad Money, as he highlighted worthy ******* e players and reviewed several of this year's IPOs. Cramer was bullish on the stock during the episode, as he said:
Fourth, in mid-April, I recommended Madison Air Solutions. Now, this one's symbol MAIR, or as I now call it, Mayor of East Town. That's a great TV show nickname for a great company. Madison Air is an airflow and cooling play for the data center that also has exposure to semiconductor manufacturing… The two hottest areas there are. I told you it was a buy right then and there, it came public, and the stock's now rallied from $31.75 to just under $40. When Madison Air reported last month, they delivered much better than expected numbers with a very strong full-year forecast. Given that the stock's pulled back about 10% from its highs last week, I think you buy it right here, right now.

BEIJING, June 17 (Reuters) - China said on Wednesday that it will take countermeasures in response to a new Taiwan government website for Chinese nationals to report intelligence tips, saying the site exposed Taipei's "confrontational mindset".
Taiwan and China, which views the democratically governed island as its own territory, have long spied on each other, and Taiwan in particular has reported an increased number of Chinese espionage cases.
Taiwan's National Security Bureau unveiled the new website on Sunday, explaining it was offering a secure channel to what it said was an increasing number of people who are fed up with China's system and want change.
Speaking at a regular news conference in Beijing, Chen Binhua, a spokesperson for China's Taiwan Affairs Office, said Taiwan was engaging in "intelligence theft, infiltration, and sabotage activities, escalating cross-strait confrontation and undermining cross-strait relations.
"This fully exposes their pro-Taiwan independence stance, their stubbornness, confrontational mindset, and refusal to change course," he said.
