The Venice Film Festival is back and high fashion has taken over the Lido. As the 83rd edition continues, the canals are filled with custom couture, sharp tailoring, and standard-setting off-duty style.
The prestigious festival kicked off with a suitably glamorous opening ceremony on Wednesday, where Laura Dern presented George Clooney with the Lifetime Achievement award, recognising his enduring contribution to cinema. The actor landed in Venice alongside his wife Amal, leading a star-studded guest list that includes Kendall Jenner, Pamela Anderson, and Sydney Sweeney.

It's been wonderful to see Pamela Anderson lighting up the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival 2026, and the beautiful 59-year-old has donned some eye-catching, high-end outfits.
On Monday, the blonde beauty was pictured arriving at the Hotel Excelsior Venice Lido Pier during the famed film festival. Looking like a picture of sartorial elegance, the mother of two wore a black tailored suit, a chic pie-crust blouse, and finished it off with a pair of Hollywood-esque big shades.

Her face appeared makeup-free, and her famed platinum blonde locks were brushed back effortlessly. But we couldn't help but notice that she was sporting a rosy pink lip colour, complete with lip liner, even though the star essentially gave up makeup on the red carpet back in 2023.

The 2026 Venice Film Festival starts on Wednesday, and the first wave of celebrities has already begun arriving at the Hotel Excelsior on the Lido. With 11 days of premieres, photocalls and parties ahead of us, consider this the beginning of what will undoubtedly be a very busy fashion week.

Amal Clooney was among the first to arrive alongside George Clooney, who will receive the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement during Wednesday's opening ceremony.
Considering Amal and Venice have given us some memorable fashion moments over the years, I'm excited to see what she has in store for us this time around.
Amal usually gives us summer hues during a festival that sits right at the tail end of the season, but on this rare occasion she opted for a darker palette in Tom Ford by Haider Ackermann Spring 2027.

The Giallorossi have spoken with Sporting CP and the defender's camp three times recently. His valuation is around €17/18M plus hefty bonuses. They haven't decided to push for him for the time being, but he's one of the few players on their list. He headed to Portugal from Real Valladolid for €9M in 2023 and has racked up 81 appearances, scoring 4 goals and dishing out 3 **** ists.
In addition to tracking Fresneda, Roma poked around Ezzalzouli, but he's as pricey as their other offensive targets, some of whom have fallen through. He has hit the net 29 times and provided 18 helpers in 128 games with Real Betis. He has starred 37 times with Morocco.

They need multiple wingbacks after the Celik fiasco and likely won't be able to splurge for two, especially since their interest in signing a big-ticket attacker hasn't waned despite capturing Santiago Castro. HNB are reporting that Club Brugge have had a bid of around €9m for AZ Alkmaar midfielder Peer Koopmeiners rejected. AZ have already seen one midfielder leave this summer, with the talented Sven Mijnans depart for Eredivisie champions PSV. They are hoping to receive a fee of around €17m for Koopmeiners, well above the €9m that Club Brugge initially bid. Koopmeiners is said to be keen on a move to Belgium and for Club Brugge he would provide a replacement for Aleksandar Stankovic, who returned to Inter, and Raphael Onyedika who is also likely to depart this summer.
Outside of loan spells with Excelsior and Almere City, Koopmeiners has spent his entire career with AZ. Since making his debut in 2020, he has played over 100 games for the club, scoring six goals. The previous two seasons have been the best of Koopmeiners career so far. If a recent report from Rangers News (as cited by The Daily Record) is believed to be true, Rangers are in direct contact with Hampus Skoglund’s representatives ahead of a potential summer move. They are also monitoring his former U21 Sweden teammate Casper Widell, and the Excelsior centre-back could also be roped in alongside the Hammarby right-back.
The 22-year-old defender, who is representing his nation at the U21 level, progressed through IK Frej and Hammarby’s academy ranks before breaking into the latter’s reserves in the third tier of Swedish football. Skoglund was soon promoted to their senior side, as he has so far appeared 80 times for Bajen across competitions.
Although both Rangers and Schalke have been keeping close tabs on the youngster for quite some time, the Glasgow giants are now accelerating talks to restore parity in the right-back role.
